3/18/2013 I had been baby sitting my grandchildren for a week when the passenger side car window was broken into last Monday night. Broken glass everywhere, inside and outside of car. The car radio was stolen. I have never experienced a situation like this before. Since my daughter and husband were out of country at the time, and I am from southern Ca. (so not familiar with this area), I didn't know where to turn. I called several places, but they were not able to help me in a timely manner. Finally, I called Karmakanix, who recommended I call Mao at Clear Vision. He sounded very competent over the phone and was able to send someone out that day. The window was repaired, all broken glass cleaned up and the entire process was completed within and hour. The service was very professional the entire time. And the price was extremely reasonable. To be honest, this out of towner couldn't have been more satisfied. I have never written on Yelp before...however, I was so grateful for the professional and timely help, that I cannot recommend Clear Vision highly enough. My VW Eurovan Camper windshield developed a crack from a stone kicked up by a truck on 880. And the crack kept growing. This is the second time it happened. CSAA automatically recommends Safelight. They came out with the wrong windshield (it's an unusual car, and few windshields are in stock). They also suspected corrosion under the window and if there was corrosion they said I'd have to take it to a body shop to have it removed before they could install a window. I called my mechanic (Karmakanix in Berkeley) and they recommended Mao at Clear Vision. Scheduled it with Mao and Karmakanix to get a tune up at the same time. CSAA will cover the work done by Clear Vision. Met Mao at Karmakanix and he did an excellent job. And, there was no corrosion. But Mao showed me that the work previously done by Safelight the first time they replaced my windshields was very messy .. sealant and molding poorly applied. Very satisfied with Mao's work. My passenger window got smashed in during the night, and they stole some stuff. Not that bad, but definitely threw a wrench into my day (not to mention setting me back $ to fix the window!). Found Clear Vision Auto Glass on Yelp, and it was really well reviewed. Since Auto Glass Express (also highly reviewed) couldn't come out until the next day at the earliest, I went with Clear Vision, who would show up in just a few hours. Best thing to happen all day! Mao came by around 12:45, and not 45 minutes after he showed up, everything was finished. All the smashed glass gone, new window installed, all paid for and done. I can't emphasize enough how quick, courteous, and professional it all went. Not to mention cheaper than the other guys by a bit, too. I'd hate to have this kind of thing happen again, but I know who to call if it does. read more

Recently my Insurance Carrier referred my auto glass damage work to Clear Vision auto in Antioch. I contacted the company and spoke with Mao, who provided me with an immediate quote for my 2006 BMW. The quote was better than the two previous companies I contacted. We scheduled an appointment time and as promised Mao was out on time. Mao and his team are great!!! The back rear window on my car got smashed in and it was going to be insanely costly to fix. And NOT covered by my insurance (which I am immediately changing). They gave me a great deal and his team member San came out and fixed it quickly. He even cleaned up all the little glass pieces that were EVERYWHERE. Honest and great work. Quoted me the best price as compared with all others. And charged the same as promised when work completed. The work is perfect and done with care. No wind leak or noise. The glue used was high quality, unlike other places that might use high VOC (ie unhealthy) glues. This is very important because passengers and children would need to breathe in any glue used in the car for a long time on a daily basis. Overall, great service, great quality. read more

My car got broken into on a Saturday, everyone was closed and couldn't I couldn't get anything until Tuesday. I turned to yelp to see what I could find...I called and talked to Mao who said they could do it first thing Monday morning on my way to work and it was cheaper than what I had been quoted by the other places I had called. He informed me about what he was doing while working and why it should be done that way and how some steps save money (like reusing the molding as it had no damage). Clear Vision Auto Glass was the best choice that I had made in regards of choosing where to go get my windshield fixed at. I called yesterday and they were able to come out today, Even with my class schedule, they were able to come to my college and change my windshield while I was in class.
