My family has been getting bagels almost every Saturday here for the past twenty years. I recently became a regular on my own this past year. I love this spot it's a true local gem. The vibe is homely and warm. The owners are a couple who run the store alone--they are so hard working and dedicated. The bagels are the best bagels in North America, I've been everywhere and haven't tried bagels that beat Clearwater bagels. They're fluffy soft and slightly crisp after toasting. Surprisingly so, I haven't tried everything but recently I tried the garlic bagel for the first time--it tastes great with just cream cheese! If you get the lemon pepper entree I recommend it with the tomato basil bagel: they're the perfect match. The classic Lox is definitely my favorite too but it's the most expensive item on the menu. Everything is pretty affordable, but I don't mind if I ever have to pay more at this place. The owners make their own cream cheese and my family buys a tub every time. It's the creamiest and most delicious cream cheese ever; you can't find anything as creamy at a supermarket. I honestly love this place and I hope more people can enjoy the experience here. read more

Clearwater Bagel is one of my favorite bagel shops in the local area! I'm a huge fan of their everything bagel with either regular cream cheese or the veggie cream cheese. I'm not sure what is all in their veggie cream cheese but I think sun dried tomatoes and spinach. I'm also a fan of their onion, sesame, poppy, garlic, aloha, and honey bagels. Haven't had the opportunity to try their open face or bagel sandwiches so I can speak to those. Also shoutout to the couple/new owners that took over a year or two ago. They're great! I'm guilty of ordering tons of bagels for my friends/coworkers when I go. If you'll be ordering more than 6, give them a ring the night before and leave them a voicemail with what you'll be ordering. For COVID protocols they are having you order one person at a time, wait outside, and pickup in a separate area. They also give you an alcohol pad to clean your hands. there are a couple of other popular bagel places in the area, but clearwater blows them clear out of the water! ha ha :~/ ..anyway, the food here is fresh, tasty, and cheap. i came on a sunday around 12pm and it was really fast; the whole process took less than 15 mins. they are also very covid-friendly; there is a large plastic divider between you and the cashier, and they gave me a single-use wet wipe after i paid so i could wipe my hands after touching the console! very thoughtful! i ordered a breakfast with a kick (sausage, egg, cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato, + spicy mustard and mayo) on a jalapeno cheese bagel and it was huge! all that for 7-8 dollars!! you could easily share this with another person. the bagel itself was so pillowy and soft but also crunchy in all the right spots. no tough, stale bread to be found here! panera found jobless! the service here is also super friendly and quick; i can't wait to come back to try their other bagel and cream cheese flavors! read more

Hidden gem! I had no idea this little place was even here. I might have come across it before during a search but now I have a feeling it will be one of my go-to breakfast spots near home. The bagels are fresh, dense, perfectly chewy with the crunch on top when toasted. They have so many different flavors to choose from, along with different cream cheese/spread flavors as well. I tried the cheese, jalapeño cheese, and blueberry with strawberry cream cheese. The first two were part of the breakfast sandwiches which were delicious. Only downside is the bagels become soggy from the wet veggies on the bottom. I also purchased the combo with OJ, which for $5.95 is a very decent price for the quality you receive. In addition there is a case full of fantastic Asian to-go drinks. I couldn't help but purchase the Assam green tea, black milk tea, and peach oolong tea. The service was also fantastic the cashier gave my 2 year old daughter a complimentary treat. It was so nicely decorated for Halloween which, in my opinion, is a nice added touch. They were also great at sanitizing between customers, social distancing, and providing complimentary alcohol wipes. I hope this place sticks around. read more

If I could give this place 5+ stars I would. First, the people that work here are always so graceful, happy and extremely welcoming. They have perfected the art of customer service! I've tried many of their bagels but the two bagels that are just a HOME RUN for me are their Lox Bagel and their spinach parmesan bagel with the chicken salad! The food is ALWAYS fresh. The flavors are so unique and I love the creativity with the Lox Bagel. They offer a pool of diverse items like their boba popsicles and the Soda Bossa (Guarana) a delicious Brazilian beverage! Overall, this place is spot on. The service meets beyond any expectation I have as far as customer service. They work fast and efficiently making sure that everything comes out to perfection. I'm a huge lox and cream cheese bagel fan so I was excited to find a bagel place close to my morning routine. Their lox and cream cheese bagel comes with some non-standard toppings like cucumber and sprouts but I'm a traditional lox and cream cheese bagel kind of girl so I just got it with the usual caper, onions, and tomatoes but did have them add lemon pepper which put it over the top! The bagel had great texture and I love that they didn't skimp on the lox (especially considering it was almost $10). The new owner was very sweet and even gave us some complimentary melon. The orange juice however was a different story. When I asked if it's fresh squeezed, they said it was half fresh squeezed...which is odd but I got it anyway. It was not good. It was bitter and had a giant piece of pulp that kept getting caught in my straw (see photo). I think the organic OJ at Costco is much better. But, nonetheless I'm sure i'll be back as I love a good bagel. read more

Came here for the first time with my boyfriend because he loves this place and I was sad that they ran out of Jalapeño Bagels so quickly and didn't even inform me that they'll eventually be making more or offered to wait. We went to this place unexpectedly and it was really good. Everything tasted fresh and the man making the sandwiches was friendly. Place was empty when we got there, but it could have been because it was early. By the time we left, there were other customers. Their bagels are so good! There's always people ordering multiple bagels togo and they have a large variety of flavors. Their coffee (iced caramel coffee) is great too ( though a tad too sweet for me). Their iced mocha (not pictured) is very chocolate-y. You should definitely call ahead to make sure they have the bagel you want. The jalapeño cheese bagel is really good, but we didn't really like the garlic bagel. I am saddened to have to update my review for my favorite bagel shop ever. =( There has been a change in management and the quality is not the same. The previous owner was such a great guy, even though he was all over the place sometimes. lol But the bagels were consistently good. Now, the bagels are thinner, not as soft (the top half of my onion bagel was so hard to chew), and they put much less cream cheese. I can deal with the small amount of cream cheese, but I miss those perfectly soft & round bagels. They were thick and delicious. Now they are thin and subpar. It is soooooooooooo disappointing. I hope they improve on the quality, because the new owners are actually nice people as well. read more

I haven't been her since they remodeled, and it's a vast improvement visually. They have made improvements and it shows with new seating area. A" rating shows in the pride and helpfulness of the staff. Very accommodating and lady who took my order directed me to a high top table on the other side to enjoy my breakfast. This is an outstanding establishment, you can tell they care about the customer. I don't mind if they raise there prices, I'll pay for quality. I can tell the difference, it's super clean. I have to agree their bagels are delicious! It's soft on the inside and made hot and toasty on the outside. Coupled with cream cheese or savory egg, bacon, ham, etc....it is mouth watering! I love their bagel flavors such as rosemary oil, cinnamon sugar, jalapeños, sun dry tomatoes! However the service here is awkward and less than satisfying. The guy that works here or possibly the owner really wants to get rid of you. He quickly ask what you want, delivers it and gives you a sense he wants you to leave asap! So weird! I tried to ask for something decaf and he literally sounded pissed off. Trying to enjoy breakfast here is not ideal. I recommend take out (ready to eat or cold)! read more

I went simple with an egg and cheese on a onion bagel. It was delicious!!! The woman who made it apologized because she put too much cheese. You never need to apologize for extra cheese...EVER!!! Was very disappointed with service. Have been coming here for years. Went in to purchase just 2 bagels, ended up spending almost $11.00 dollars for those bagels. When questioning why, was told they only sell them with cream cheese. That to get loose bagels they must be preordered. Came here on a random school day on my way to get some hw done. Needed a bite to eat. Drove into the plaza and just saw the sign outside that said bagels and I came in. The person helping me was very helpful. I ordered a cranberry sandwich and he suggested I try that with a cranberry bagel. He took my order, made my bagel and walked over to my table and served it to me. I enjoyed it a lot. It was a cranberry bagel with cream cheese, cranberry, spinach, onion, turkey, and some sort of oil or dressing on the spinach. It was very tasty. I like the vibe of this place. There were only 2 ppl working here. They might be the owners. It's very cozy and decor is cute. Good place to get good food and even study. I absolutely 100% believe this place to have the best bagels I've ever tried. They are always fresh, pretty big and just delicious. I don't know how the owner does it (several times he has been the only one at the store) but he just does, he prepares orders and attends to customers super well and is always helpful and just plain nice. So glad I did some research before coming across this gem. It's a must try and I love coming here, has a great ambience too if u want to just relax and enjoy your bagel right then and there. It's been many years since I visited Clearwater Bagel. I'm so glad I stopped back in. I ordered the Club Bagel . Everything about this bagel sandwich was amazing. When you bite into this bagel you feel the crunch of the bagel and the fresh softness of the inside. It was perfect. All sorts of flavors and textures were happening. You can taste the quality it , most important to me is the love that went into making it. Best bagel shop! My husband and son try to come every Thursday morning because not only do they love the bagels, but the owners make you feel right at home. The owners are the most wonderful people! We just love coming here. They have a variety of bagels with our favorites consisting of: honey, Hawaiian, chocolate chip, blueberry and the everything bagel. I really enjoy their bagel sandwiches with the veggie spread. They have both open-faced and bagel sandwiches. I also love that they have added smoothies to their menu.
