    Summer Teriyaki Lunch

Service is excellent. Ambiance feels like you're right at home. The food was great. I went for lunch and I ordered the Pollo Francesca. It was delicious and creamy! They have a nice patio out front and live music Wednesday-Saturday. Lovely place--I will be back.

Gone are the days when you walk into a place and smell the food greatness you're about to indulge as you expect great breakfast and brunch at a regular price. These guys have got you covered! Let me also mention that each and every server in the place is as hospitable as all servers used to be back in my day! haha Always wanted to say that....no, I'm not old - i just play a geezer in real life. Give them a try guys - because the breakfast platter is amazing, and don't forget the pancakes!!!

    Cool street scenery.

The main entrees were really good here. The salad was tiny and had the weird lettuce that looks like tree leaves that I don't like. Lol But that's just my preference. The garlic bread was good but it was just a few tiny pieces. The decor was really cool. It's like you're on a city street. Ambiance was different.. There seemed to be a group of regulars performing karaoke so I felt a little out of place. I would definitely go back for the entrees though. My daughter had a bacon burger and it was really good and I loved my chicken parmigiana and spaghetti. They both had a lot of food and really good flavor.

Crab cakes Benedict - very good. Family liked scrambled eggs and waffles. Good service - coffee was maybe disappointing for a predominately Italian themed place.

    Chicken and sausage gumbo

I had dinner here last week for the first time in several years. My memory of that visit was an ok meal but obviously it didn't prompt me to return any sooner. It's easy to miss this place as it's tucked away far from FM 1960 in a large strip center but it does at least have a sign on that road. When I arrived, I discovered quickly that it was Karaoke night which would begin soon. After being seated and presented the menu, I decided to order the Pollo Piccata ($13.95) that came with a choice of soup or salad and I chose the seafood gumbo and the gumbo arrived about 5 minutes later. The small bowl had sausage, chicken and shrimp in it along with a good tasting roux and I graded it at a 3.5. Later the entree arrived consisting of 2 boneless breasts with mushrooms and capers in a lemon butter sauce along with some fried potatoes on the side. Everything on the plate was acceptable in taste but probably not a dish that I would reorder instead of trying something else on the menu (3). Kind of what I remembered from my visit years ago. Table service was good. I realize that Clementine's has been here for many years and therefore must have a clientele that supports it. However, my experience doesn't make me want to beat a path here to return anytime soon because there are other similar type of restaurants that do. So I will give a 3 overall but doubt of a timely revisit.

    Club Sandwich....
    Prentiss M.

Ok, I've tried this spot multiple times, it actually always turned out DECENT, only because I had to doctor up whatever I ordered, but TODAY I couldn't do that. I ordered the club, took over 25 mins to receive a sandwich and I was the only person in the seating area. So I stayed, and once my food arrived the sandwich was beautiful in presentation but the taste was horrible!!! The cheese wasn't even melted and the bread was previously frozen and you can taste that. The servers were nice, and friendly but I guess due to Covid the food has went down a peg or two.

First time trying Chef's Table, a South African inspired ambient new American restaurant! The…read moreinterior is dark and moody, and features a lot of the chef's South African memoirs. You can choose to sit either inside or outside. We went with the Houston Restaurant week menu which features some of their most popular dishes. For the appetizer, we tried the sautéed calamari and gumbo. The calamari had a nice creamy garlic sauce which paired well the sautéed bell pepper, onions, and tender calamari. Their gumbo is solid, not too spicy and had nicely cooked rice and a mix of toppings. The rice had a good bite and absorbed the flavor from the gumbo well. I would recommend the sautéed calamari. For entrees, we ordered the wild caught king clip and steak Diane. The very buttery king clip comes with sautéed spinach and is basted in a creamy, slightly lemony sauce which compliments both elements of the dish. The kingclip is garnished with micro greens and comes with an extra lemon for additional acidity, but I felt that it wasn't needed. The steak Diane had a medium cook and was soooo tender to the bite. I would recommend both, but partial towards the king clip if you want to try something unique! Lastly for dessert, I ordered the passion fruit crème brûlée which had such a unique flavor profile! The tartness of the passion fruit goes surprisingly well with the warm vanilla custard. The texture of the creme brûlée toasted sugar top was perfect as well and added a really nice crunch to every bite. My friend ordered their sticky toffee pudding, which was arguably the best one I've had yet. The toffee syrup is incredibly rich and adds a nice caramelized flavor to the ice cream and moist cake base. It's garnished with bits of sugary crumble and fruit. You really can't go wrong with either, but if I had to pick, their sticky toffee pudding is a must try. All in all, such a fun and intimate dining experience!

We were seated in a booth that felt quite cramped for a business meeting. Next time, we'd likely request a more open, well-lit table. We ordered several dishes, but the Chilean sea bass was disappointing. It was dry, lacked the buttery texture it's known for, and was quite bland. We also requested a side of hot sauce, but that request was overlooked. To end the meal, we planned to order coffee and toffee instead of dessert. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, we were told the coffee machine had broken. Unfortunately, by then the server seemed eager to wrap things up and didn't really give us the opportunity to consider any other after-meal options. Overall, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and we can see why it's popular, but the food execution and service fell short of our expectations, especially for a business lunch. We hope these issues were just an off day, as we'd like to give it another chance.

The menu is a QR code on the table. They have a large outside covered patio. Lots of TV's inside & outside. The salmon salad was very good. The salmon was cooked just right & very well seasoned. Nice size, generous amount of toppings (eggs, tomatoes, onions) such that I had toppings in every bite with my lettuce. The entire salad, dusted with a cajun seasoning, was a nice touch. Food was served in a metal plate with plasticware & plastic cups. (I'm sure the 'plastic' is helpful for managing the outside dining.) Chef Dee came out to check on us. She saw me taking a picture of my food & playfully said 'hey you gotta take a pic of the chef who created it'. Of course I took her pic!! Based on my salmon salad, I would definitely try other items on the menu if ever in the area again. Try them out. If you don't prefer a crowd, pop in for lunch.

The self-service fountain drink area smelled strongly of mildew or old sponges, and the counter was very sticky and wet. I understand a mess during a lunch rush, but the lingering odor was a big turn off. I ordered a White Chicken Parm, and the chicken was unpleasantly rubbery in some areas- I regretfully had to spit out a piece, which I genuinely try not to do out of respect. Pasta was also too salty for my taste. The menu description also lists broccolini, but the reality was more of regular broccoli that was also soft to the point of being slightly mushy. I'm hoping the best for this restaurant, and also hope that this may have been an off day since there are recent good reviews; but in the meantime, I'll be exploring other Vintage Park options for lunch. - Ambiance: 2/5 - Food: 2/5 - Service: 4/5

The menu was not very big so it made me think that they would be really good at what they made. That logic proved right. I started with an appetizer of humus and my son ordered the cheese pizza. At first, I wasn't impressed with his pizza based on looks -- then I tasted it. The pizza was really good. The humus was also really solid. For my main, I ordered a burger. I think I was so hungry that I forgot to snap a pic of it. Regardless, it also was a really good burger. The restaurant is an order from the counter concept and then take a seat. You're on the hook for your refills / condiments / dinnerware. I like that. Only drawback is the parking situation. The front lot is pretty small and there were no spaces. Otherwise, I really like the place! Thank you to the Yelpers who went before me and left the good reviews and enticing pictures.
