This place is amazing!! Their pancakes are the best I've ever had! Golden, buttery and light crisp on the outside. We were looking for a local brunch spot and this was just it. The service was super friendly and it seemed to be the neighborhood spot. Everyone was greeted by a first name basis. They had everything from crab cake Benedicts to steak and eggs. I tried clementines 10:00am on a Saturday for the first time and I have to say my first and last impression of them were poor at best. I had eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast, coffee, and orange-juice. Ask for over medium and receive over easy eggs. Bacon was burnt to a crisp. Potatoes were good. I asked for wheat toast and received white. Coffee was old. Orange juice was... well... orange juice. The food was awful and I will never go back and I will never recommend this place, in fact I will definitely warn all I know to stay away. The hostess was very friendly and there was a guy refilling our coffee who did a much better job than our waitress. The interior decor is fun, but very awkward without any background music. All we heard was clanking of others utensils against their plates and other tables conversations. The food was just okay the bacon and toast weren't hot, maybe mildly warm. We had to send gooey/raw (in the middle) blueberry pancakes back but they re-made them and they were pretty good once fully cooked. The eggy white omelet was good. The kitchen must've missed the request for no tomatoes. The server was very sweet and noticed and offered to have it remade as well but I declined. The main plates came out together but the side of bacon came later, and the toast (which comes with the omelet) came even later. So not sure why it was not hot. Will not return. read more

I came here for the first time during lunch today! It wasn't busy so I was seated right away. I order the Santa Fe chicken with steak fries. The chicken was juicy and very good! Delicious! Simply delicious! We were ignored by most of the staff as soon as we walked in, giving us a very ugly negative vibe, not sure if it was because of a racial thing? Yes, I said it. We are Hispanic, the place was full of Caucasian people. Never seen a mexican before? That even one of the chefs had to come out and sit beside us to take a what I'm guessing a closer better look to see that a Hispanic family is trying to have brunch there in peace?? But there was this gentleman, with a heavy accent(German/Russian couldn't tell) with medium long hair. So attentive and ready to help us whenever we needed something. I promise you, if it wasn't for this man changing the uncomfortable situation to a great experience, this review would've been a bad one. I'm amazed at all the 5 star reviews of this place. We went twice and won't go again. The service is excellent and rates 5 stars but the food rates 1. For a restaurant that purports to be Italian, their food is extremely bland. It's like they left their spice rack back in Italy. French onion soup: cold, extremely salty, and the cheese wouldn't melt. Lobster cannelloni was also cold and had almost no lobster. It was pureed and mostly red bell pepper. Green beans undercooked and hard. Seafood gumbo had a lot of seafood but way too much rice and once again, no spices. Everything tasted like it came out of a microwave. And the crowning glory was the live "music." The singers were the most off key vocalists I had ever heard. I haven't been to Clementine's in a few years. I don't have any desire to go back. This restaurant is definitely forgetable, sorry to be so harsh. Even though it's pleasantly decorated on the inside (definitely NOT the outside...it's located in a very unattractive strip-center), I just can't get over how bland the mood of the restaurant is, the menu choices, and the flavor of the food is. I've only tried a few things at Clementine's because like I said, there isn't much to choose from. And they don't have much of a lunch menu which is another negative aspect. I remember their chicken fried chicken being huge and suprisingly somewhat tasty but since the restaurant doesn't offer many side choices, I either ate a boring salad before the chicken came and then ate the chicken by itself or had some sort of bland mashed potatoes with it. I also remember there hardly ever anyone being in the restaurant. I don't know how they stay in business! And I think smoking is still allowed in the front of the place. That's a way to welcome your patrons! "Hi! Get the biscuits!!!! I've been driving past for years...stopped in on a whim. We came for breakfast.my husband ordered an omelette, cooked soft. He said it was excellent. I had scrambled eggs and bacon. The eggs were typical, the bacon was too thin for my liking but it was ok. The coffee was good, I liked the atmosphere, and I heard that there is a piano player on Wednesdays and weekends. There is a bar here too, and outside seating, along with a banquet room. The waitress was phenomenal. She was beyond capable, friendly, and truly had a server's heart. I bought a Groupon a few years ago to this restaurant and thought "Why Not?" That was two years ago and I am definitely a fan. At first when I went, I was hesitant because I am accustomed to excessive fine dining. However, the Sunday Mimosas, and nutty waffles were excellent. My friend and I were't ready to leave so we paid our bill and sat out on the patio and enjoy more mimosas. I have fallen in love with this place and frequent quite often for the atmosphere. While looking for a place to host a Christmas party for our company. We decided to try this place for dinner to get a feel for the atmosphere. We were seated in the back where the staff wraps their silverwares, completely excluded and isolated . While and the other side of the restaurant was the live music and our server dancing. I love this place. I have been going there for years. First things first, I am not a fan of buffets. One of my dear friends calls it "eating out of a trough". But Clementine's Saturday night buffet is the exception. Lobster cannelloni, Prime Rib. It's usually a futile effort on my part, but try to save room for desert. Lots of fun people, you can get your food served there, live music, it's just a very comfortable place. Leaving the bar, you go into the restaurant area. with tables and booths. The food is outstanding. I have eaten most of everything on the menu, and have yet to get anything I didn't like. Stand outs are French Onion soup, Chicken fried chicken, Lobster cannelloni, Pork chops and eggs breakfast and the Scandinavian Sampler breakfast. Finally the thing I like most about this place is the wait staff. Not a lot of turn over here. After a while you know their names and they know yours. The key to the all the things I like about this place is it's owner Elias. There is only one Elias. Great smile, infectious laugh, warm greeting, and personal care for his customers. Plus, he's a lot of fun, himself. Clientele are for the most part not millennials. I hate to admit to being an old guy, so let's just say many of his regulars are upper middle age. About 4 years ago I was doing the "Our time dating" thing and met a lady for lunch at Clementine's. Next week we are getting married at the table where we first met. Omg I HATE giving this review but only go there if Covid isn't an issue for you. This place has always been like taking a step back in time which I always thought was part of the charm. But they are ignoring every Covid rule. We sat at a high top table because the next table had a sign saying every other table. But a few minutes later a couple of regulars came in & they ripped the sign off and said "sit here". Our paper menus had stains on them so were clearly previously used. When The bartender/server had his mask on it was under his nose. Some people came in without a mask and were shown to a table! This is probably one of the best places to eat that you have never heard of. Saturday evening from 6:00PM they have a wonderful buffet for under $25.00. This is a true epicurean's delight. Everything is prepared from scratch in the kitchen ands it shows with the quality of food offered. The buffet had main courses including, prime rib au jus, baked salmon, talapia, stuffed pork loin, lobster ravioli and chicken marsala. Add to any of these potato au gratin and french beans. Multiple fresh made desserts included red velvet cake, suicide by chocolate cake, peach or blackBerry cobbler. This chef loves what he does and you can be the recipient of that.
