For bar food the foods delicious. This time we made the mistake of going on trivia night...the trivia host is so loud the waitresses can't even hear your order. It tends to be a younger crowd so it can get a little loud and rowdy but the food and drinks are good. We had an error with our order due to the waitress not being able to hear us but it was handled very professionally. We will definitely be back.

Fun times and decent beers. This place had a cool atmosphere for the 3rd game of the Boston pacers Aries when the Boston won and it was cool to be a part of it and then me and my neighbors and her boyfriend went downstairs where it was a clubbby type vibe and we had a lot fun. THABKS!!!

We came here at 5pm. The place was pretty busy. Service was good. We got the Smokey Mango Mai Thai, Bee Stings wings, Hot Honey Roni Pizza, Wagyu Sliders, Buffalo Dip, Clery's Famous Steak Tips, and Southend Cheesesteak. All of the dishes were tasty. You can definitely tasty the quality in the ingredients. The Cheesesteak was made with a tasty shaved Ribeye in a toasted Panni. Steak Tips were cooked perfectly medium raw. Overall, one of the best bar food that I had so far

This is your archetypical college Irish bar. If you know what to expect, this is everything you could have expected. I enjoyed it. They have a line at the door of course, and it's packed inside, especially downstairs which requires a second line to get down to the basement where they have, a hot dark dance floor filled with bodies blasting early 2000s hits on a Saturday night. They even threw in some newer stuff and some Reggaeton and really captured the entire demographic, which seem to be mostly people under 25 and mostly white. The drinks are your typical bar drinks. They don't have anything special or signature cocktails at least from what I could see. I got the safety option, high noon. The bathroom is super small only two stalls, and one of them (of course the one I was in) didn't have toilet paper. There's a cute Photo Booth that takes three pictures of you, gives you your option for borders and lets you send it to as many phone numbers as you'd like. What an adorable way to remember the night. We made our own dance floor in the corner by the emergency exit, right where the security was stationed, and he was really nice and funny and let us have our space and kept guys from bothering us. Even at 30 i felt kind of old here lol but i had fun, it's always the people not the place. Would come back for sure.

My mom was hungry so we opted to get a bowl of chowder to go and we put our name down at the restaurant next door who was UBER dog friendly and even gave my girl a dog bone when we checked in, and lots of pets. Salty Pig Pizza: A pizza with the same name as the restaurant! Who was the genius who came up with the idea of salted pig and beer caramel? It's brilliant! The salted pork appears to include Prosciutto di Parma from Langirano, Prosciutto Cotto, and Salcissia. Baking rendered the prosciutto's fat, which blends with the caramel to create a beautiful golden syrup that flows across the pizza's surface. The prosciutto was savory, oily, and tender; the minced salcissia retains its coarse texture and rich meaty aroma; the caramel was sweet and mellow with a honey-like sweetness, forming the top, middle, and base notes respectively. The arugula was slightly warmed, losing its astringent and raw taste while maintaining its crisp texture, helped to cut through the richness together with the Parmesan cheese powder. The crust was crispy, while the inside the dough was soft and chewy. The cooking time and seasoning were all just right, and the restaurant's proud wooden oven added a charming smoky flavor. Affogato: I had high expectations, but it was just okay. The espresso was too sour, and the vanilla ice cream couldn't balance it out. The almond biscuits had an overpowering almond flavor, and the flavor of plant-based protein was terrible! (Oh, this should have been a plus...)

From the moment we arrived to the moment we walked out of the door, the attention to detail was exceptional. The food was absolutely excellent and worth every dollar. I had the steak frites and my husband ordered the halibut. Both were Fresh, flavorful, and well portioned. We also ordered a side of Brussels, crisp to perfection. The decor and ambiance are gorgeous. I had two cocktails: the lychee martini and the 1928, both were delicious and well portioned with spirits. The service was fantastic. We never had to ask for our glasses to be refilled, our waiter was attentive and professional. My husband had indicated on the online reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, and that was the only mention of our celebration. And yet when the dessert came out, it was a happy birthday, custom dessert. So without having to remind a soul, the team remembered and incorporated the celebration without having to be asked or reminded. Phenomenal attention to detail. We walked into a unique space with dim lighting, stylish décor, and an energetic vibe that makes it feel like a great place for dinner with friends or a date night. The interior has a polished, slightly moody energy that fits the style of the food, and the layout accommodates both small tables and larger groups comfortably. It can get busy, so making a reservation is a good idea if you are planning to visit during peak hours. The biscuits are easily the standout item and are a must-order. They come out warm, buttery, and incredibly soft, making them one of the most memorable dishes on the menu. The restaurant is designed around sharing, so ordering a variety of small plates is the best way to experience it. We tried several dishes and found the flavors well balanced, with the shrimp and grits delivering a rich, savory depth and the fried chicken offering a crispy exterior with a juicy interior. The mac and cheese was creamy without being too heavy, and the variety of flavors across the menu made it easy to sample several different dishes in one meal. The cocktails are also worth exploring, with creative combinations that complement the food without overpowering it. Service was attentive throughout our visit, and the food arrived at a steady pace despite the restaurant being busy. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and offered thoughtful recommendations, guiding us through the small plates format without pressure. The atmosphere stays lively without feeling overwhelming, though it is definitely on the louder side during dinner service. The energy of the room adds to the experience, and the pacing of the meal allowed us to enjoy each course without feeling rushed. Prices are a little higher than average, but that is expected for the Back Bay location and the quality of the food. Buttermilk & Bourbon is a great option if you are looking for creative Southern-inspired food in Boston. The combination of excellent biscuits, flavorful shareable plates, and a fun atmosphere makes it a destination for a meal that feels both polished and approachable. It is especially suited for dining with a group, where the format encourages exploration and sharing, and the lively setting adds to the sense of occasion.
