We ate here and the drinks were very good, loved the selection. Our bartender, Ben, introduced himself right away and we had a great time. The only complaints I had were all about the food, which was very mediocre and had no flavor. It was a good experience, however it all went downhill when we were done! My friend offered to pay for the meal so we let her and left. Less than two minutes down the road, I noticed my phone had disappeared. We went back and asked for it, noticing the bar had been already cleaned. I know I had it out on the bar as I was showing everyone pictures and whatnot and now it was gone. I thoroughly checked my car again and went back in to give him another chance, telling him it HAD to be there and that the bar was cleaned right after we left. He denied ever seeing it. I did an iPhone search and it showed in the restaurant and I reported it as lost. It was reported found after closing at the restaurant. So in other words he stole my phone and wanted to play games with me because he was ticked about my friend's tip or something. I didn't appreciate it considering I lived 45 mins away and had to drive back the next day when I got a call that it was miraculously found even though I had stayed 30 mins asking for it the night before. Found out later from another friend their credit card had vanished on one of their visits, though the server had the card for the bill. When he came back to ask for it, he was told it must have "mistakenly" been given to another customer. Needless to say, I will never be back to this place unless serious improvements are made with the staff that they select. Can't trust anyone there! read more

HORRIBLE service. I give this place 0 stars. Sat at our table 20 minutes. Table had other people's dirty dishes and garbage. Waitress ignored us. Terrible at best This location is a disgrace to the original location We've been here 4 times since they opened this location. The only time we received good service we sat in the bar. No one checks back to make sure your food is correct My date sent her sandwich back BURNT turkey when our waitress brought it back the new one was cold. We went to this location Saturday evening for drinks and karaoke. We were very disappointed in the whole experience with the exception of our waiter who did a great job. The rest of the staff, from the DJ to what appeared to be the manager, were very unprofessional. I have never seen this type of behavior even in a bar. We will not be returning. read more

Don't waste your time or money! We have eaten there three times since they opened. None of our experiences were great, but we decided to give it another chance. We were seated quickly, which was nice. We asked our server a question about the beer specials (it is a draft house), and she replied "I don't know...I don't even like beer" and just stood there staring at us. She made no attempt to find out the answer. Even though she doesn't like beer, as a server at a draft house she should be more knowledgeable or at least attempt to find out the answer. The food was lukewarm and tasteless. Service was so slow, that getting an appetizer and eating dinner (when it eventually came) took over 2 hours. The atmosphere is lacking...just an overcrowded room. Never again! read more

Love the Cleveland location so was excited about one opening in Clayton. Everything looks exactly the same which is great, however the service is terrible. Went on a Wednesday night and sat at a high top table. Sat there for 10 minutes and no one ever came to take our order. Tried several times getting the wait staff's attention with no success. They are professionals at not making eye contact. It's not like they were that busy. About half the tables and booths were filled. Finally got up and walked out and went to Mckinleys. I'm sure I'll end up there again. Hopefully they'll have it together by then. read more

One of our favorite places for Friday evening to grab a drink and dinner and listen to a band after work if we don't have other plans. We've been there several times and we enjoy the food and the staff. They do tend to get a bit overwhelmed on the bar side sometimes but it hasn't affected us going back. read more

Where should I begin! Me and my family went to karaoke on a Saturday night to try a new place. Well, we get there and it is pretty good atmosphere, at first, and our waiter for the night was pretty good. I'd tell you his name, but I do not remember. He was a guy with a long ponytail, but anyways. My step-father wanted to sing a song and he did, once. We then put his name in again one last time, two hours before we left. After about an hour a guy walked out pissed off that his name was not being called, so we started to notice that my step-father was not being called on as well. After noticing a bunch of women were going up to sing multiple times and one man sang multiple times, was where the line had been crossed. Basically, the DJ sucks! He does not have any kind of system and just passes over people and thinks that it is okay. People come here to sing and then they cannot show their talent because the DJ wants to let these women sing over and over and let his buddies sing whenever they please. Even the wait staff and bartenders sing multiple times when there was plenty of people who had not sang in awhile and specifically came there to sing. There was also a situation where an individual said "It has been years since I put my song in" and the DJ said "It's going to be years before you sing too!" That is extremely rude and obviously shows that we were not the only people unsatisfied with how this establishment was being run and especially the DJ. read more

i was struck in my back by a vehicle backing out of parking place. when i and person went inside to call and report it the only thing staff was interested in was witnesses. i was also told they don't have security cameras. they do have a security guard but no cameras. young lady who hit me called her boyfriend who was in another vehicle on lot told me outside he saw what happened but denied it to staff. at that point i pretty much gave up. pretty shady business to say the least. i was also told by staff they don't get involved. even if food is okay, if you want to be in secure location i don't reccomend it. if someone breaks into your vehicle or hits it while you are there don't count on them to be any help. read more

Showed up at 6PM on a Monday and sat at the bar. The restaurant was surprisingly empty with only a few tables/booth occupied. I sat at the bar and tried to take in the row of taps behind bar. The bartender (Chris) handed me a draft menu and gave the the specials. After a few minutes he noticed I was having trouble picking a local beer (many NC breweries were represented) and asked me what I usually drank. A short conversation later and I took his suggestion of the Mother Earth Weeping Wit; a great choice. That was a very tasty beer. I asked for a menu and Chris was equally helpful there. He pointed me to the rib eye special instead of the burger saying "you might as well get the whole steak". That was also an excellent suggestion. Too often "steak houses" over-cook and over-season a decent piece of meat. This steak was excellently and simply prepared. I had it cooked medium and it was spot on: warm, red center. That's the succinct summary of this review; the restaurant was spot on: the service was excellent, friendly and genuine just like the food. I would greatly recommend this location. read more

Once the novelty of Cleveland Draft House (Clayton) wears off, customers will realize how bad it is. I want to preface this review with this statement. It could be a better experience but until the manager makes some adjustments, we won't be back. First, the service was terrible. My husband and I were seated quickly for lunch (Thursday-12:45) which was great, but once seated everything went down hill. The waitress didn't bring our drinks until after the food was served. We had to ask for them......twice. Second, all the waitresses wore their hair down. Hair was actually touching plates if the staff carried or leaned over to put the plates on the tables. Waitresses were cleaning the tables off, touching trash, used napkins, etc., THEN fixing drinks. It was disgusting. So staff training NEEDS to happen. We had the fried mushrooms, derby salad and steak sandwich, drinks. Nothing stood out as OUTSTANDING. It was plain, bar food with very little flavor. Again, this could be fixed with adjustments made by the chef. We never saw a manager. The most ridiculous thing that we saw was the menu saying NO SPLITTING. Why does it matter if we're drinking beer, ordering apps, if we split an entree? RIDICULOUS. Seriously, that alone upset us because we were spending the $$$$. NO SPLITTING, seriously? read more
