I dropped my iPhone and cracked the screen in a parking garage. ClickAway allows walk ins so I took in my phone to have the screen repaired. Edward was the technician that fixed my phone. He was able to replace the screen and explained everything he did and answered all questions. The repair took about an hour and cost about $250. I think that is a fair price. I left my phone and picked it up a few hours later. The cost included a backup as I had not prior to taking it to be repaired. Edward is highly recommended! The store location is near the Campbell Technology Park and had a number of customers during my visit. They give you a good estimate on when the work will be completed and a fair price estimate. STAY AWAY. This place is as bad as it gets when it comes to laptop repair. The technicians are worse than old-time car mechanics trying to sell un-needed services. I can't speak to their technical competence because they accomplished *nothing* during the 36 hours that my laptop was there. Their primary concern is summarized by the question "Do you want to spend the money to get this fixed?" To make matter worse, I had to call at day's end - twice - because they couldn't be bothered to inform me that they didn't know what they were doing. This should have been a simple recovery of data from an undamaged disk, visible from the command line shell when windows failed to boot after a bad firmware upgrade (thanks Dell!) These clowns tried to take it as an opportunity to sell me: 1) $199 linux re-install 2) $199 windows re-install 3) $199 data recovery to external HDD 4) $99 HDD That's $700 worth of repairs to a laptop that might be worth $200, and that I'm going to now do for about $10 (the cost of a case for an external ESATA/USB case off one of my other computers). I will be complaining to Diamond, BBB, Angie's list and anyone else who will listen what opportunistic parasites they are. read more

Typically if I had to repair my computer I would do it myself if it was a desktop. However, in this instance, I was dealing with a 5-year-old HP Laptop where the case had split at the corner near the hinge. Every time I booted up I got an error 90B message before allowing me to boot up. Turns out the fan on the CPU was going bad and needed to be replaced. With sausage fingers like mine, I didn't feel like screwing up my laptop any more than it was. I decided to find a local business that had the expertise to repair it. The button on my iphone 8plus was not working consistantly. Walked in and talked to a technician who informed me the button on this model is a sensor not a real button and the phone needs to be shut all the way off regularly so the software reboots. I went to ClickAway in Campbell because my existing Lenovo laptop had a crack on the keyboard that made the unit turn off when moved. I was told it could not be fixed appropriately. I asked if they sold laptops new or used. The manager (Eddy) pointed out a used Lenovo that he recommended as the best-used one he had. The cost was $399 with $150 added to import my info from my damaged Lenovo. I agreed to this after negotiating a $50 discount- for a $500 total. I left the unit to import the info, the tech called me to say they would install the SD drive from my damaged Lenovo which would effectively import my information. I agreed. I then picked up the laptop the next day, but my son noted that there was no camera and that the unit was at least 8 years old, and the mouse pad was glitching. I informed ClickAway and the next day I returned the laptop to exchange for a new one. I landed on a newer HP that was not cheap considering the specs, with a total take home cost of over $1100. When I checked out the unit at home, I realized the info / data transfer did not include my prior Outlook info and contacts - which included 14years of diary notes, I returned to Clickaway several times - ultimately being told they could not transfer my prior Outlook info because it was an earlier version and also because my original SD drive was not compatible with the new HP. They said they would have to charge me north of $100 to import. I asked if I could simply take my original laptop so I could have all the info. I was told that they already recycled it. When I asked for my original SD drive, I was told that I could have it for $200. UNBELIEVABLE. Then, I called a few minutes after leaving to suggest that I simply screenshot the info I needed. I was told that they may be already scrubbing the drive and he would call me back. No call ever came. read more

I have been going to ClickAway in Campbell for several years. They are amazing. My computer stopped working yesterday afternoon. It was late in the day but I called to see if they could help me. Usually Tim helps me but I was told his schedule was pretty full for the next day. I took my Samsung cell phone into the Campbell ClickAway today, along with a new battery I had purchased for $20 from an internet company. ClickAway staff informed me that they would not install the battery I had provided, using the excuse that it would "jeopardize their relationship with Samsung". I really needed my phone back, so I told them to install a battery that would be more to Samsung's liking. The Samsung "approved" battery cost $60, and was probably made in the same factory where my much cheaper one was produced. I found it strange that ClickAway did not want to jeopardize its relationship with Samsung, but seemed they have no problem jeopardizing its relationship with me. I initially gave them a one-star rating with the above post. Less than half an hour later, I got a call from Eddy at ClickAway, who offered to refund the full $60 price of the Samsung battery as well as knock the labor costs down to $50. I visited ClickAway today and got everything sorted out, so I upped my review start count. read more

Was planning on taking my iPhone 6 to Apple to get the battery replaced. They had a deal for $29. When I drove by the store, The line was out the door 10 deep. I went to Clickaway and they replaced my battery in less than 15 minutes and sent me on my way, and honored an apparently expired special price. only charged me $28 for it. Never again. I took my laptop to Click-Away in 2015, when my hard drive failed. At that time, I was impressed with the service and very happy. So last October, when my laptop began making strange beeping sounds, and wouldn't boot. I brought it in again. I was told I needed another new hard drive. I questioned this, but was assured that was the problem. I was dealing with my mother being hospitalized, and didn't have the energy or time to research this myself, so I gave the go ahead. Guess what, I still have the beeping/not booting up issue. Now that I've been able to check it out, it has nothing to do with the hard drive. $300, and nothing done to fix the problem. Correction - finally found the receipt from this. Although the person I spoke with said it was a hard drive issue, it appears that a memory module was replaced. Nevertheless, it did not solve the problem. read more

He was very courteous and professional explaining their procedures and pricing for the installation of a new hard drive, loading the Windows XP software, and doing a diagnostic and attempted data recovery from the failed disk. This was my first experience with Click Away. It was great! I work for a large web development agency and I've maintained my own server for 8 years. Recently the motherboard went out on my .NET 2003 Server. It's a server I use for personal files. If I lost everything I would have been devastated 10 years of family images, video, and countless documents from many web projects. Needless to say, I had a great experience. These guys know what they're doing. And when there was a problem, they communicated it with me and used their resources to figure it out... I will be coming back in the next few months to figure out how I can incorporate redundant backups so this never happens again. Their pricing is not cheap, but for what they did it's the right price. I took my laptop to ClickAway on Monday because the AC jack was broken. Mike ordered the part that day and he called me on Friday to let me know that the part had arrived. I brought my laptop after 4pm on Saturday not knowing they close at 5pm. After I realized they close soon, I told Mike that I'll bring the laptop back on Monday again because I needed my laptop and didn't want to leave it there. But Mike was super nice and told me he can do it right there that day. What a life saver!!!! If I ever had a problem with my laptop again, I would go back to Mike for sure! Just let me say this, I'm not tech savvy. My Macbook started misbehaving. Spinning, freezing up, slow, and just wonky. The language from me to my computer got the best of my husband who said that's it, I'm taking it to ClickAway. I didn't want to let it go because I have all my data on it. Even though I have an Iphone and Ipad, all my data is on my Laptop. My husband dropped off my computer and by the end of the day when I got home it was all set up. Everything was working great. Went in for an iPad repair w/ my boyfriends dad. They wanted to charge me $50 less to replace my screen than it would have been to replace my whole iPad at the Apple Store. Seriously? I'm very happy with the service! My labtop battery had difficulty charging due to the loose connection on my AC adaptor. I found ClickAway based on a quick internet search and decided to take my chance and I'm glad I did! Milan, the lab tech assigned to fix my problem was very very helpful in telling me about the loose connections due to the plug wearing out etc. He quickly figured out the problem and explained the problem in great detail to me using layman's terms. The repair took about 4-5 days due to the inavailability of the part that was needed. Milan also figured out that my AC adaptor had short circuited and even helped replaced the adaptor with $20 extra. I absolutely recommend this place. Milan is very helpful and a great tech.
