I had a cracked Lenovo laptop screen and I had called around at different places to get it fixed. I called around many places and most of them said they cannot fix it because their distributors didn't have the screen. Some said my screen has a higher resolution than usual where Lenovo no longer have the replacement screen. I'm so glad that I I found ClickAway. After they looked at it, they said they have the right parts and knowledge on how to fix the screen. After a few days, the laptop screen is replaced and it's as good as news! I didn't know what to expect really from click away I was looking to get a storage unit repaired which they couldn't repair nor could anybody else so I'm not faulting them for that but I am faulting them for saying that the unit was in a different condition than I brought it in I didn't want you argue the point because the unit was unrepairable anyways however the temp was made to restore the unit somewhat to the condition it was in when I brought it in and then when the employee that was helping me when I went to retrieve the unit refused my assistance in placing the storage rate back in my car went to fling it in my backseat and broke off the part that they tried to repair that they said wasn't broken so that's why I have such a low review for click away but there was a work of their name Tristan he was very informative and he did give me some help information so there's that but all in all stay away from quick away read more

Should have read the reviews before going for hard drive repair. They WILL NOT give you a quote up front, baiting you in with "free diagnostic" that never explains the process. By the time I got them to tell me the price $300ish for data recovery I was so pissed that they wasted my time and theirs". Advise to Click Away: Be honest and upfront about costs Post fee schedule and time schedule so there are NO surprises! This will ensure happy repeat costumers. I will never use them again. read more

Beware. I went in to get a quote on a broken screen repair. Everything else on the phone worked fine. It was still being used. It just had a cracked screen. They told me that they needed the device for 4-5 hours in order to give an estimate. There is absolutely no reason why they would need the phone for more than 2 minutes. I went to another vendor that gave me a quote, and ordered the parts all without looking at the phone for more than 10 seconds. read more

Slow, costly, and bad at communicating with customers. After I left my laptop with a store associate, they didn't properly communicate what they are doing with my laptop and that another technician is running a diagnostic on it. What's worse is that they avoided several phone calls (another one of their coworkers claimed they were "in a meeting") until I finally got a hold of them a day later. Unless if you want to pay lots of money for this kind of poor service, I strongly suggest that you stay as far away from this place as possible. read more

UPDATE 12/27 I had some family over who knows a lot about computers and they noticed two of the three front fans are blowing air in the wrong direction. Given that I had CPU overheating issues, this doesn't make sense and is almost suspicious. Two fans were installed backwards. read more

ClickAway repaired a broken iPhone screen for me back in 2017, and did a very nice job, but it was my second time using their services that left me really impressed. My 5 year-old MacBook Air is finally starting to show its age after a full year of distance teaching, and the battery life was getting dire. I couldn't walk away from the charger for more than 2 minutes without it dying on me. I rushed into ClickAway at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon with a strict Monday morning deadline - class starts at 9AM! Tim was incredibly helpful. He updated me every step of the way, and was able to get my battery replaced, run a diagnostic on the rest of my computer (which is working great after all these years), and get it back to me by Saturday afternoon. All said and done, the entire repair process took less than 16 hours. I was so pleased with how communicative and helpful Tim and the ClickAway team were - they knew I had a time crunch, and they got the job done. These guys are the best. I have been using them for years and appreciate their excellence and diligence. I love everything Apple but I think their support isn't what it once was. For instance, I use Office for Mac and most Apple techs pass you off to Microsoft; good luck there! If you go up the management ladder at Apple Support you might get your problem solved but it's just not worth the fight. That's why I dumped Microsoft products ten years ago. These guys are a rip off! I bought my MacBook Pro from ClickAway Campbell, and was charged $2906.01, plus $599.97 on 8/31/2017. They said to come in anytime so that they could explain how to operate it. When I came back in they told me they would not take their time to teach me. He kept my Mac and said he would look at it, but on 10/21/2019, wanted $408.24 and would not return it till I paid. All he did was remove some files. I was not able to use the Mac because disc was full, as I told the store when I brought it back in. Due to Covid-19, I was not able to use my Mac or get it repaired. Finally, I was able to have a qualified Mac expert repair my Mac this month. I waited to post on Yelp, until in was sure. I learned from my new computer repair expert now that I had a "disc full" problem that Clickaway should have noticed, and repaired. That the $3,505.98 I was charged was excessive for the bad machine Clickaway sold me. Clickaway then continued it's misrepresentations by responding to my first post on YELP, claiming I overstated what they charged, and that it was a year ago! I have then receipts for everyone to see. That it was last year does not matter, especially during the Covid 19 conditions. I am offended that they responded on YELP to my review with more misrepresentations to try and discredit my sincere YELP review, and cover up their unethical business practices. read more

There are many things worse than your computer going south on a Monday morning - but its still pretty frustrating, especially during this time of shelter and shutdown. My computer monitor decided to die just after I opened our office this week and Edward at ClickAway in Campbell made it bearable by getting us up and running. So, James and Eddie were the two people who helped me. I went to them during a time of extreme need due to health, Covid, unemployment, and bankruptcy. But, I needed a new computer to search for a job because mine just died. I had them assess my old computer for repair, but it was beyond saving so I asked them for recommendations. James loves Lenovo laptops because they are well built, have solid chassis, and the internal construction is superior, but I couldn't afford one due to my situation. So he recommended an HP laptop with an i7 processor and an SSD internal drive, so it was super fast. I was impressed with that laptops performance and really wanted it, but again because of my situation I simply could not afford it. That's when James engaged Eddie and they gave me a generous trade in value for my old laptop, and another generous discount on the new one to make it possible for me to purchase it. I am happy to report that with the new laptop I finally have one that works well, starts up quickly, and for the first time ever have a laptop than can keep up with me. Previously I was always waiting for the computer to catch up to my typing speed, or shortcut key commands, or to switch tabs and browsers, but this one handles everything I throw at it effortlessly. To say that I am satisfied is a huge understatement, and I cannot find the words to express my gratitude. James is a very honest, sympathetic, and extremely competent tech, and with Eddie's support they made a huge difference in the life of my Wife and myself. One last thing: I finally found a job using the new laptop instead of sitting in frustration constantly rebooting and waiting for the old one to try and keep up with me. I asked James how I could ever repay them for the help and generosity they showed me and he simply responded with, "just pay it forward someday." So, now that I have an income I went back to Clickaway and bought a brand new just released HP laptop for my Wife. It's the best way I could think of to begin to repay for what they did for my family. I give that shop my highest recommendation because they have honest, competent, and genuinely nice human beings working there, and all they want to do is the best they can for you. Neither Verizon or Samsung were able to help me get my text messages from my late husband (all 750 of them) off of my phone and into a file without doing 750 screenshots. I called ClickAway in Campbell to come to my boss's home to set up a home computer we had moved from his office. He's 85 and wants to work solely from home. Edward Lizardo was the tech who came out. He was fantastic! Had the computer up and running in minutes, linked it and another computer to a printer, which he also set up, and made some great suggestions to make the space more accessible for my boss, who uses a cane. I was given sub-par expertise on Apple RAM installation, no proactive troubleshooting/awareness on services rendered until after they got a full hour of billing, they have over-priced RAM installation costs for the area, and they persask the customer to make sure to provide a good review on Yelp. Seriously? That's not how Yelp works. There's a place on Stevens Creek, where I bought the RAM, that charges 1/3 of the cost to do the same installation. Upon return to that place, once I explained what the RAM was going in, they knew immediately the RAM wasn't going to be compatible with the 2018 Mac Mini; the research I did beforehand showed the RAM I bought was compatible, but regardless it wasn't. I thought I paid ClickAway $99 for some semblance of technical expertise. They demonstrate only reaction instead of proactivity in assessment/service. What was the actual technical service or expertise being provided for the price I paid? Ridiculous. The correct RAM install took 15 minutes at the Stevens Creek place. I'd not come back (offering 50% off of a future install adds insult to injury) and I'd not recommend their "services". * I was contacted by Jesse from ClickAway the day after I left this review. I was informed that I was inappropriately charged and that the customer service experience I had should have been better. As a result, they refunded the $99 I was charged and told me they would be training their staff so this would not happen again in the future. I updated my review stars to reflect their good-faith effort to make things right. read more

I noticed my CPU had bent pins when I looked at it one day. It was an AMD 3900X and I was worried about having to purchase another one, especially with the current markup being around 50% more than MSRP (~$800 on Amazon), so I tried repairing them myself, but I accidentally broke one of the pins off. When I looked around to see who might be able to fix it, I came across ClickAway and hoped they might be able to help me out. So I brought my CPU to them and they were able to evaluate the CPU for free to see what they can do. A couple of days later, I get a call from Ardalan saying that he's going to attempt to solder a new pin to the CPU. He said it wasn't a guarantee that it'd work but I figured, it's all or nothing with the CPU so he gave it a shot. Today, I went to pick it up and I brought my build to test it out, and to my surprise (and even ClickAway's), it actually managed to post again! I was so happy I even hugged one of the associates. If you ever have any pins break off, these guys will fix them for you. I can't thank them enough for helping me out. read more
