Vanilla Latte & Brown Sugar Latte
Hannah F.

Tried this place on a whim while shopping Main Street Grapevine. While the staff was friendly and the ambiance was cute the coffee was a huge let down. The vanilla latte and the brown sugar latte had little to no flavor and the coffee wasn't that great. Don't know if it was just watered down due to the ice or what but I didn't finish my drink which is very rare for me. We won't be back.

Main seating area, super cozy and spacious.

Oooooh, Brew & Batter. You pulled me in with your gluten free waffle options and kept me because the waffles were SO good. Truly. I came in on a random weekday around 11:30am -- there were only a few other folks in attendance so I didn't have a line to wait in. I ordered a latte with vanilla and caramel, plus the gluten free/vegan seasonal berry waffle. Honestly when I got my waffle it wasn't hot, it was barely warm. No one else was being served food so I found this a little strange, but I decided to try my waffle before asking for it to be reheated. Lucky me, even being lukewarm/cold my waffle was sooooo good. The texture was perfect, so crunchy yet soft and chewy. And the flavor was insanely good! I could have eaten 10 of these cold waffles! Plus, the space itself is super cute and cool and breezy and bright. There's plenty of space for plugging in your laptop and working. You can hang out for awhile or just stop by. Very casual and friendly all around. Delicious coffee and wonderful waffles.

Underrated light breakfast, I like how they serve starship bagels here too but with egg!! Even the original starship bagel store doesn't do that which is a shame. Ambiance is great, the baristas are very friendly and have good service. They also sell pretty nice mech here as well as roasted beans.

This is a quaint little coffee shop right off Main Street in Grapevine. Prices are reasonable for coffee shop coffee. It's a cute little old house that's been converted into a coffee shop there's a quiet room for working on laptops with free Wi-Fi and a few small tables and a cozy couch They have lots of good options as well as unique waffles made with various toppings today I tried the fig and brie waffle which was delicious the size is not huge but considering today's economy a pretty good value. I actually ordered the peppermint mocha although my coffee was tasty I did not taste any peppermint or mocha? I didn't complain because I still enjoyed the drink but if it were a peppermint mocha they need to add more peppermint and more mocha in the future in my personal coffee opinion

Such a cute coffee shop! I'll admit I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place- it's so cozy and open and I loved that it wasn't crowded, but I also want them stay in business and that means having customers. My first time here and I'm sure I'll be back at least on a monthly basis as a way to start the day and relax with a friend. Also, the chai tea is absolute amazing and they have vegan waffles!

Someone converted a house into a breakfast shop. Literally. There was live music from a lovely girl. Random lawn seating over pebble where the lawn use to be. It's almost like someone invited a bunch of random people over to sit in the front yard. Plenty of shade depending on the time of day. They have crafted coffee which was nice. Their charcoal lemonade really hit the spot! The waffles aren't super huge either. Sizing seems to vary on complexity. They have indoor seating but it wouldn't be ideal for private conversations.

Came here for a quick bite and some coffee. Got a couple waffles and coffee options. Very cute shop! Love the hip feel and comfort walking in. It's like being at home, a local home. I wanted to try their coffee and it was refreshing to find a place that goes against the "norm" by using oat milk in the drinks. A first and I'll have a second. I do have to say however the waffle was disappointing. Very dense, not what I expected more than anything. I wish mine would have had more Nutella and banana to help moisten the dense bite. My husbands (the churro) was great and a wonderful flavor. I think it's a bit more of an appropriate option for a dense snack.

I like the vibe of this little coffee shop. In my opinion, it has a ton of potential, it just hasn't been unlocked! The cornbread waffle could have been better. I would have liked the flavors to blend a bit more than it did. The cheese was not melted, the waffle itself was good, it just needed a bit more attention. The staff was very attentive and kept the place clean. The barista made me a great latte. I wish the place was a bit more cozy.

Perfectly cooked egg on the Breakfast Waffle.

Nice little coffee shop, just a half block east of Main St. Tasty White Rock drip coffee and their breakfast waffle is really good. I prefer my waffles with a crisp on the outside, but these are soft, however that said, the egg is perfectly cooked and the flavors are delicious. Friendly staff behind the counter and a overall good atmosphere. Always enjoy trying new unique coffee shops.

Love the indoor decor and seating area. Very cute place to catch up with a friend over coffee. Ordered the chai tea latte and it was tasty. However, the gingerbread waffle we took home was not very good to my daughter or myself. I wondered if it may had alcohol flavoring? Something in it gave it a bitter odd taste. I would come back here for drinks not for a waffle. Enjoy!

Cute little place. Not a ton of seating inside, but if the weather is decent, there's more outside. The food was good and so was the coffee.

Super cute shop with the troubled tummy girlies (and boys) in mind. Oat milk is the default milk (at no charge) which is AWESOME for those of us who are shelling out extra dollars everywhere to protect our pathetic digestive tracts. They also have gluten free waffles - I went for the fresh fruit waffle. The strawberries were tasty but I wished it had the banana that I've seen in other pics. Still a smackin' waffle for being gluten free though!! My oat cappuccino was okay. I wouldn't come here for a stellar espresso but I would come here for a cute brunch date. Their merch designs are also super rad.

Super cute coffee place next to downtown grapevine. The coffee was delicious and they have a super quiet atmosphere inside. Staff was very welcoming.

Ask the Community - Clieu Coffee

I've read about 30 reviews so far and none talk about the actual waffles except a couple and they aren't helpful at all. How are the waffles? Are they crispy, soft, soggy?

I love the corn meal waffle with honey! I haven't tried the other batter tho.

Our waitress was very fast and helpful with picking out our foods based on our likes. Once the food came out, everyone seemed to really enjoy their meals, including myself. We started the table off with the biscuits and fried green tomatoes (demolished!). I kept it simple with the chicken and waffles (delicioius and crispy), which was a HUGE helping (yum!). Others at my table enjoyed the the shrimp and grits and WB chicken sandwich. No complaints heard from them! Overall, I really enjoyed the ambiance, the food, the service, and the experience I had for my first time there. Would come back again for dinner to see if there is a difference.

Moving to Texas a while back, a friend said "never underestimate a restaurant in a strip mall"…read more Craftway Kitchen in Southlake isn't exactly in a strip mall, but in the outlot of a few big box retailers. We've driven past Craftway Kitchen more than a few times, always intrigued with a 'we have to try that place sometime'. Saturday night was sometime. Taking our chances as a party of three walk in's, the restaurant was full inside, and there were a few tables open on the patio. I generally don't like to eat on patios, because flies show up, etc. Not at Craftway... not sure what they were doing, but there wasn't a fly or other flying bug around. The patio wasn't just clean, it was meticulous. Welcoming too - It felt very much like an extension of the restaurant. Alex, our waiter was quick to bring water and menus. Returning to take drink orders, a margarita was ordered as was a glass of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc. Drinks were quickly served. Water was never allowed to become empty. Alex asked if we had ever been to Craftway, we informed him this was our first visit. His ask "any allergies?" to which we said no. He disappeared, returning with an appetizer sampling plate with three items - the Reuben egg rolls, crab stuffed mushrooms, and blue cheese chips. All were fantastic! Three entrees ordered, the Chicken & Fig sandwich, Chicken Milanese and the Cajun pasta with Chicken. Food arrived; each entree was fantastic. Cooked to perfection, flavors were amazing. Dessert, shared, was a bread pudding with ice cream, a perfect finish. Alex never let beverages become empty, delivered superb service. The Chef circulated the room checking on satisfaction and chatting with patrons. Giving Craftway Kitchen a very well deserved 5-star rating. The staff did everything right! Departing, we talked about what we will order next time. We will be back to Craftway Kitchen!

Most of the starers are mouthwatering, even the unexpected Ruben Eggrolls are a delight. Less daring items like the coconut shrimp are equally good. Without a doubt my go to entree is the Beef Wellington. I remember La Madeleine had an affordable one on their menu in the late nineties, this is reminiscent. I do usually swap out the mashed potatoes for the chopped wedge as side, just seems like the classical steakhouse side for the task. The only thing I would say that is lacking is the wine list, despite being very fairly priced. Their most bespoke bottle of red is the Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon (2021), which while amazing for the $99.99 they charged, it was fairly flat, lacking the traditional vanilla perfume you'd expect from a pricey California Cabernet Sauvignon. Also took a bottle of GH Mumm Grand Cordon, which also did not taste as anticipated. I think the most plausible explanation might be heat damage, as both wines are usually well regarded but came up short.

The portions are also huge Our server was wonderful from start to finish. He was friendly, attentive, and checked on us often without being overbearing. The service was honestly the best part of the experience. We started with the Sichuan calamari, and this was easily the highlight of the meal. It was perfectly crispy, the glaze had just the right amount of sweetness and heat, and the seasoning gave it a nice kick without overpowering the calamari. It was one of the best calamari dishes I've had and definitely raised my expectations for everything that followed. Next was the tenderloin bruschetta, and unfortunately this one just didn't work for me. The flavors didn't come together, and it was much saltier than it needed to be. It felt like there were too many things happening on the plate without much balance. I wouldn't order it again. For the entrées, the Chilean Sea Bass was very good. The fish was flaky and cooked well, the risotto was creamy, and the sauce brought everything together without being too heavy. It was one of the stronger dishes we ordered. The lobster stuffed ravioli was another solid choice. The filling was generous, there was plenty of lobster on top, and the vodka sauce complemented everything nicely without taking over. It was rich but still well balanced. We also tried the New Zealand rack of lamb. This one had mixed reviews at our table. It wasn't as tender as I was hoping, but I didn't dislike it and again I didn't love it! The blackened exterior and the wine reduction gave it good flavor, but it just wasn't particularly memorable. My favorite entrée ended up being the tomahawk pork chop. The pork itself was juicy, flavorful, and cooked really well. I wasn't a huge fan of the pineapple bourbon glaze since I didn't think it added much to the dish, but the quality of the meat made up for it. We also had the strawberry spinach salad, which was fresh and a nice lighter option alongside all the richer dishes. Then there was also a side dish with green beans and almond and again no complains there. Overall, I left feeling a little conflicted. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was great, and the portions were very generous. The food itself was a mix of really good dishes and others that completely missed the mark. After such an incredible start with the calamari, I expected the rest of the meal to be on the same level, but it just never got there. I'm glad we tried it, but I don't think it's a place I'd rush back to.
