In addition to having great technicians for installation and repair, they have very knowledgeable staff in the office who have many years of experience, and who are always available to quickly answer detailed product, quotation and scheduling questions. I started looking for a new HVAC system last year, but several R-410A systems I was interested in were out of stock (due to Trane's protracted transition to R-454B) and I was concerned about purchasing a first of its kind R-454B system. During this process, Climate Air Masters was patient and very helpful at looking into several options for me. After I decided to delay for one year, my existing unit failed and Climate aided me in investigating options for getting it working again. When Climate recently installed my new Trane system, their team of three arrived on time, worked efficiently, and finished the installation in just a few hours. My A/C broke down a few days ago; the outside unit didn't work when the thermostat tried to start it. I called Climate Air Masters for the 4th time in 20 years (the first two times for my previous house) because they never tried to upsell me or BS me. Dan showed up right on time, identified the problem - bad startup capacitor - had a new one on his truck, installed it and inspected the entire outside and inside units, and charged around $200 and change (cheap for a service call PLUS parts AND labor!). It is so refreshing to come across a business that takes customer service to heart and doesn't put profit as their number one priority. I'll be moving soon and making my current place a rental. I had a major issue with my current Trane HVAC system that was causing me much worry, but in a profit sense it's a complete waste of time for an HVAC company. Also the company that installed my system went out of business. My issue is I have an electronic air cleaner(EAC). It's a total pain in the arse to take care of since it involves crawling into my attic, pulling out the pre-filters and heavy clunky metal cells and washing them every few months. It then has to dry and put back in the proper way. For an owner I went thru the hassle but I knew there's no way a tenant would bother and I didn't want my system to fail due to negligence. The next issue was my EAC was an older model not manufactured anymore. When it was current it was advertised as "swappable" with a regular filter if one chooses. I called Climate Air Masters and worked with Darlene. She was very friendly and sympathetic to my story. Since my model numbers don't show up in the system anymore she sent out a technician free of charge to measure the cabinet and take down all the info. The tech Dan was very professional and didn't make me feel like I was wasting his time over a filter. Within 24 hours they found my solution. A 5" media filter for my system that only needs to be changed every 12 to 18 months, the perfect solution to my rental headache. She ordered me the filter and told me to take it home and make sure if it fits, if it does then she'll bill me. If it doesn't just return it. Sure enough it fit like a glove and since "I was a nice guy" she gave me the filter for their cost. Even got some free coffee out of the deal :-D These guys made no profit off of this deal but what they did make is a new customer and now thanks to yelp word of mouth. I'll use them for my HVAC needs at both my rental and my house. The customer service was excellent and they were able to resolve my issue giving me piece of mind! Now I'll just have to swap out a filter every year or so instead of wondering if my tenants are cleaning the filters each month. They are Trane authorized dealers but work on all brands. My air conditioning and heating unit at my office went down. I had multiple places come out and give me an estimate on a new unit and some additional duct work. Not only did Climate Air Masters give me the best pricing, even my own friend was more expensive. But they made the most sense on the reduct. I really liked them, as they were super professional, and did a great job installing a 4 ton unit at my office on the roof. I cannot mention enough how good of a job they did. They were always on time and did an excellent job. They also had the longest warranty on their work. Most companies only offer a one year warranty but Climate Air Masters warrantied their work for 2 years. I don't know if it's because I got a whole new unit but they were the only ones to offer a 2 year warranty from the companies I called. The workers here are super professional, the prices are hard to beat, and I couldn't say enough good things about this company. Outstanding and honest business. We were thinking of replacing and increasing the sizing of some of our A/C ducting in the attic due to low-flow in several of our upstairs bedroom. Technician showed up, went in the attic and made a few adjustments. Stated that we didn't need new ducting just yet and to try the A/C while he was there to see if his work helped. I received a visit from a Home Depot contractor when I inquired about replacing my central air and heating last June. This is for my large condo, 1700 square feet. Rightime was the company. My place was inspected, and the price was very high. To get a unit with an efficiency rating of 16 seer (high enough to get a rebate from my city of Anaheim), the price was $18,751, parts and labor. In addition, I was told that I needed duct work to pass inspection for the permits. TGrand total: $23,449! This was at the tail end of the hottest spell of the summer, and he informed that I could have the work done in a few days. Tempting during those hot days, but I decided to get a second opinion. I then called Climate Masters. They did not feel that I needed the duct work, but I did have to wait around ten days for them to do the install. It was well worth the wait. They charged $7,625 for the unit and installation. It passed inspection with just a minor fix needed, which was done by Climate Air Master at no additional cost. It's hot out there- Good time for a HVAC company review!! My brother and I have a few rental houses in addition to our own places; I'm responsible for my mom's house as well. It's vital that I have trustworthy, quality service contractors' ready when situations arise - might be too late for research! When Chris D. puts a place on his "Genuine Customer Service" list - you can be sure they'll deliver a good experience - I mentioned him when I called - Darlene remembered taking care of his issue - a sign showing they value their customers! Climate Air Masters came out to service my mom's system, which was performing poorly - running constantly and not cooling efficiently. Part of the reason was that I had been remiss in my filter cleaning duties - she has an electronic air cleaner also, which I had cleaned, but had questions about. Service call went great - on time and professional in all ways. The tech showed me how the electronic filter goes together (tricky on this model - even for him) and answered my questions about it. He worked pretty hard trying to clean the regular filters, but they were too clogged to keep (oops, my bad! - I know better) The freon (or whatever they call coolant these days) was checked and topped off as it was a bit low. System was checked for air flow at every register - all were blowing strong and cold!! I needed to order some new filters - paid with a CC over the phone - would be available in a couple of days. The tech lets me know - my mom's place is on his way home - the office will let me know when they come in - I can pick them up, or they can be shipped to me - but if would like - he'll drop by and install - no problem, no charge! They did call, he did go by there as promised - this service call saved a bunch of money in operating costs. Everyone I had contact with displayed "genuine customer service"! Do yourself a favor and bookmark - gonna be hot for a while - then it's gonna be cold - either way they can help you to be the Master of your Climate! read more

We had several people quote this job. We ended up choosing Climate Air Masters because they seemed very professional and their numbers were competitive and solid. (Beware of contractors that will offer an amazing price and then hammer you on the back end.) We live in a 1920's house with very limited attic space. They needed to get creative with the duct work and they did an amazing job. My wife was 9 months pregnant and at home at the time trying to keep cool and rest. These guys were fast, efficient and professional. Never did we feel inconvenienced or the need to leave the house. They were in and out in less than 2 days (an accomplishment given what they had to work with). Furthermore, the work they did was quality. I would recommend them. read more

Excellent Customer Service, Top-Notch and Professional install crew! Read the other reviews and was sold before I even called for an estimate. Kevin came out for a quote (right on time), and listened to our concerns and desires for what we wanted to achieve with a complete HVAC remodel. I had done some online research myself and because of good marketing was convinced of what I needed (although I have no experience in heating and air). Kevin was very honest and transparent, explaining what type of system we would need to meet our goals of zoning the home and keeping the front, upstairs office cool during the summer months. He said we didn't need all the bigger fancy stuff I had convinced myself I wanted, but would provide us a quote for both if we really wanted. He got back to us very quickly, with a quote for a system that would do exactly what we wanted. It was clear he had listened to ALL of our concerns, and that he knew HVAC systems and how they would perform in our home. He provided both quotes as promised, and tried diligently to talk me out of the more expensive equipment, like an uncle trying to talk sense into you when you want to buy a sports car you don't need. He literally tried to talk me out of spending an extra $4000 for the bigger equipment, but because of my own stubborness, and desire for technology, he acquiesced and agreed to put it in. I knew right then we were in good hands with Kevin and Climate Air Masters, how do you not trust a company who tries to talk you out of spending more money? The day of installation started with a friendly introduction of all the crew to be working in the home, a review of the installation and our expectations of the system, then covering the house with tarps to protect our floors and keep everything clean. Four guys got to work right away in different corners of the house and although they said it would take three days, they were complete with the install in two, only needed to come back on the third day to program the technology I had requested they install. Everyone on the install crew was polite, friendly and professional, even after hours in a small attic with temps over 106 degrees! The system works exactly as expected and desired, we are very pleased with not just the outcome, but the entire experience. Our HVAC system was malfunctioning causing rusty water to drip down the side of my cream-colored stucco house. We took 13 bids from highly-rated HVAC companies including Costco and Home Depot. Home Depot was the most expensive: "Right-time" quoted us close to $20k for the most basic equipment. Costco was right behind them via a "preferred" contractor at $18k for again, a very basic system. Home Depot and Costco offer financing - that is the trick. Not only are they getting interest for the financing, they are over-charging you by about $10-13k. We then took bids from many local companies who were highly rated on Yelp. Be advised that companies based in Irvine were the 3rd most expensive coming in around $13k for the basic system. For a 2000 square-foot house, 14 SEER with a 4-ton (Trane, Rheem, Carrier, etc.) without ductwork, it seemed the proper average cost was around $7-8k. We did our homework, researched these systems and their reliability. As it turns out, most of the major brands are reliable and in the end, there is little difference in reliability from the major names. We chose Trane after searching the cost to repair and availability/ease to obtain parts should it malfunction. We narrowed the field to 2 bidders: Kevin from Climate Air Masters was straight forward, knows exactly what he is talking about and offers a competitive price. He is creative in his thinking because out of all these bidders - he was the only one to suggest we should consider a zoned system (when the upstairs is on, we can turn the downstairs off) and vice versa, not only is this energy efficient - it's environmentally friendly. Why cool the entire downstairs when you are sleeping upstairs? Also, he included replacing the vents to higher-efficiency models. He gave a professional, written estimate detailing all of the options and equipment. His price was not the cheapest, but for what we got, it was by far the best. The other bidders did not come close to the value of Climate Air Master's bid. We had many questions, he tirelessly answered them all. The installation was seamless and on-time. His staff was competent, friendly and considerate. They did everything in a day. They showed up around 8AM (as scheduled) and were done by 2PM. They were careful with our house, carpet and belongings. As a side note, Kevin's employees spoke highly of him - indicating he's a "nice guy" and willing to help with ancillary issues. I like giving my money to good people. There are a couple of cosmetic concerns I have with a few of the new vents and they have been responsive even during the busyness of the heat-wave-season. To top it off, Kevin has provided help with ameliorating the rust stains on the side of the house via referral (I'm hoping this referral comes through). Finally, his office staff is friendly, efficient and responsive. Jenn is a gem. Climate Air Masters offers superior work and equipment at the most competitive price. Yesterday we had climate air masters come to install an air and heat unit. Sal and Abel did such an amazing job. They said the job would be done by 2 pm, but finished at 1:45. One of my daughters was taking a nap and they had to replace the new vent in her bedroom, however, instead of using an electric drill, he used a hand drill because they didn't want to wake her up. When my air conditioner decided to die during the hottest days of the summer, I was left scrambling to try and get cool again! So, I called the home service centers for Home Depot (whom I had a good experience with many years ago, but they now contract with an entirely different company) and Lowes, but both companies flashed enough red flags during conversations, that I was not comfortable. I am relatively new to Yelp, but I'm finding it helpful. So, I wanted to give this company that we used last September 2016 a shout our for GREAT customer Service. We had to replace our entire HVAC system. It was a stressful time, as we had just moved into our DREAM home in Tustin. The Home Warranty Inspection did not detect any issues with the HVAC system, but the first week we moved in, the HVAC system went out. And it was one of the HOTTEST weeks. We were able to negotiate a GREAT deal with Climate Air and within 5 days, our new HVAC system was installed. The Tech hauled away all the old equipment and cleaned up after himself. I contacted Climate Air Masters after contacting several other dealers listed on the Trane website to get a quote on replacing 2 heating & air conditioning systems. I wanted Trane systems for their brand reputation and quality not to mention the attractive financing program through Wells Fargo. The whole process from the bid to the installation went very smoothly. The technicians were polite and friendly and explained everything along the way. They were also careful and made sure to put down plastic and clean up completely after they were finished. One of the systems blew a fuse the first night and the technicians arrived promptly the next morning to diagnose and correct the issue. The systems needed to be HERS tested as required by California law. The 3rd party technician didn't know how to read his own gages which required the Climate Air Masters technicians to return to my home and again verify the refrigerant charges which were perfect by the way... As estimated, I am saving about 30% on my electric bills from last year. I would certainly recommend this HVAC contractor. read more
