This review is late in the making but I wanted to make sure I gave my positive review to be considered when one is looking for air conditioning work. After evaluating glowing online reviews, we called Climatic about a slowly declining A.C. system. A tech came out but could not take a certain pertinent measurement because our coils were encased in a frozen block of ice. He asked us to turn off the system overnight to let it thaw out and he arranged to have a tech come out the next day to get the required measurements. The following day, a different tech (expected) came out and gave us the news we had a leak in the system. He gave us our options and arranged for one of their sales people to come out to estimate our options. He gave us our options in separate, but combinable sections of the proposal and we made a decision to replace both the outside unit and the coils. ( the coils were included anyway) The techs who came out to install the system were quiet, efficient and quick. All in all, our A.C. downtime was short over four visits from this company, and we are very happy with the work, equipment and people we dealt with. Climatic was responsive, patient and informative, professional and friendly. Every single person we dealt with. They arrived when they said they would. The techs cleaned up after themselves, and were very careful to not track anything into our home on their shoes. We are so very pleased to have made the decision to call and follow up with them. I have been working with Climatic over the past 5 or so years in maintaining and upgrading the now older systems installed over the past 20 years in my house. The 5+ systems are all based on propane boiler hot water for heat and electric for air and were installed by a company that did not believe in multiple zones services by fewer units and have been ridiculously expensive to operate. Sonny was referenced to me by a friend and agreed to come out and look over the situation since we now needed repairs and upgrades etc. In a few words - Sonny and Climatic were great and talked me out of blowing the whole house up. They looked at each system and expertly evaluated the life expectancy vs replacement cost of each unit including the overbuild propane boilers. We came up with a plan which has resulted in replacing three units and installing a new mini-split in an outbuilding. The result has been a dramatic reduction in operating costs. The work has been without exception outstanding, repairs have been minimal and their response to any needed maintenance is effectively supported under their annual agreement. I recently had Climatic service an older rental unit in Winchester, they responded promptly, calmed the tenant down and diagnosed the issue as a minor switch replacement which they repaired on the spot. Sonny is man that loves his business, is very current with the newer technology and has a sound, truthful approach to the dilemmas of ever-changing technology and your pocketbook. Efficient and friendly mechanics that took the time to explain what they did during and after the AC inspection. We purchased their Preferred Service plan which gave us priority when the thermostat stopped working. it also includes 10% of future service and parts. My previous HVAC contractor didn't register my new house HVAC for 10 years warranty, after 7 years I've to pay $1480.96 to replace variable speed draft inducer, (a blower), my builder suggests me to use Climatic, when the service technician came to inspect, told me the drainage need reroute to avoid rust through eventually. I followed his advice and made the drainage trap correction, adding another $390 that was Nov 15, 2022. 6-25-2022 weather was beautiful but my 8 year old Bryant Heat Pump stopped. I called Climatic, this time the technician found it caught on fire and burned on the inside panel with a charred smell, cause unknown, unfortunately no warranty due to not being registered under my name 8 years ago. Climatic changed the 2 ton 2 stage Bryant to a 2 ton 5 stage Carrier Heat Pump, promised in 2 days to complete the job with 10 years warranty certificate. Total $8621. Climatic finished the job in 2 days as promised, and on the same day I received a registered 10 years warranty in my email. I spent many uncomfortable days without HVAC and $10491.96 to correct the previous HVAC contractor who failed to register me with a 10 years warranty. I'm satisfied and happy with Climatic. Climatic came out to check my HVAC since we had no cold air coming from the A/C. They recharged the system with 6 lbs. of refrigerant. The system was the builder grade and had not been performing well for a few years and now with the major leak, we decided to replace the cooling and heating units. As the weather got warmer our new HVAC, installed by Climatic, died. Immediately called them to check out. Long story short, they figured out that the new system wasn't wired to trip over - single thermostat can switch on AC and heater depending upon temp - no need to switch modes. Unfortunately, the wiring wasn't changed to accommodate this better functionality. The came when they said they would, guy recognized that they had installed the heater a few months prior. Made a bunch of changes and diagnosed the wiring issue and fixed, no charge. I'm OK that they had to fix it. I like how they feel responsible to make it right. Called Climatic after another HVAC company cancelled the appointment I made with them and a very plant lady answered the phone. She answered my initial question and was able to book a same day appointment with a tech to come out and diagnose why my gas furnace was no longer heating my home. AJ (tech) called as was promised a few hours later and arrived when he said he would. He was very nice to work with. He took about the next 35-40 minutes to diagnose the issue and make an order for the control board that was needed. In the meantime, he got the furnace working again, which was nice so we did not go through another night without heat. He will be back later this week to install the control board to finish the repair. read more
