First time at Cloud 9 and I took the advice from other reviewers to try the 40/40... 40 min foot massage + 40 min body massage- swedish. The spa is very clean and modern. The area where they do the foot massage part is relaxing and the bed was relaxing with a heated cloth for my back while my feet soaked-- so nice. Moved on to the body massage part in private room. I chose the Swedish massage because my goal was relaxation. I do not like deep tissue massage, my body is sensitive and I don't want to feel pain during massages.. maybe I am a wimp, but it's just my preference. Before it was started, I asked for very light pressure. However, the massage started and I felt like it was a deep tissue massage.. lots of pressure, and uncomfortable. She asked me several times if I was okay, which I appreciated. I did reply multiple times that it was too much/too hard, if it could be more gentle, my shoulder area is tight and sensitive. However, I don't feel even after saying it a few times that the pressure was changed. I just got through it. I think she noticed I was still not comfortable. The hot stones were nice but also very hot at first, I was able to adapt to it pretty quick but it can be surprising and catch you off guard. The woman who did my massage was very nice, and I bet she is GREAT at deep tissue massages-- but we were not a match. Overall, the type of service and length of service- for the experience, it was affordable and not overpriced... and for this reason, I would be willing to go back and try maybe a different person who can adjust to doing a lighter massage for relaxation. My shoulders are very sore and hurt, which I know can be normal after a massage but I was hoping to relieve some tension and not cause more discomfort. I will give it another shot soon. read more

Came by for a foot massage the other day and it was a decent experience! Parking is available either in their private lot or on the street. Made an appointment via their website and my therapist was ready upon arrival. As the waiting room/receptionist counter is physically separated from the communal foot massage room and individual body massage rooms, this results in a much quieter experience! Foot massage starts off with a warm foot bath while lying down on an ottoman face up. The therapist does an arm and shoulder massage before moving on to the foot massage portion while wearing gloves. There is a towel covering the eyes so that a nap is possible. After the foot massage using oil and lotion, a warm towel is used to wipe off the lotion/oil before moving on to a back, shoulder, and leg massage over a towel without oil. The bathroom is pretty clean too! Pricing is cheaper if a set of 5 or 10 massage are purchased in advance! read more

My sister and I went to Oceanic Foot Spa for hour-long foot massages. While we were waiting, there was complementary water and hot tea available. We were brought into a communal room where multiple people were also getting massages. Although there were many people in the room, it was still very calm and quit. The room was dimly lit and there was some soft music in the background. The foot massages were fantastic. The upper body, arms, legs, head/face, and neck were also massaged. The massage felt deeper than the deep tissue massage I got the other day at another spa! However, the half of the massage was a very painful, which is why I am docking one star. I'm not sure if a massage is supposed to be painful, but I do know I have a lot of tension due to stress, which could be a contributing factor. read more

My mom and I LOVE coming here. :) we've been going here for YEARS. Everyone is so nice and they work so hard. I work a desk job and my posture is always horrible, so I always find myself with back and neck pain. I always get body massages with Michael cuz he is my absolute favorite masseuse. The 40/40 includes a 40 minute foot and upper body massage in a communal room, then for the next 40 minutes, they move you to a private room for a full body massage (which also includes hot stones, if you choose)! I always leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated! I've had massages from Winnie, Cindy, and Nancy - and they have all been great. My partner always goes with Rita -- who he says gave him the best massage he's ever had after we had a long flight back from a trip last year. Arrived here on a Sunday morning to drop off my mom for her massage appointment. This business was located at the Almaden Expressway plaza pre-Covid then descaled to a more intimate location in between San Jose and Campbell. Her appointment was during their first hour- sharp at 10 am! The receptionist checked my mom in and it's entirely different than before. Before, the client would fill out a body chart to indicate areas that needed more pressure versus areas that should be avoided. Now, it's more of communicating with the masseuse. The waiting area is small with cute decorations inside. After an hour, my mom was feeling more relaxed and loose. Her masseuse, Cindy, was great. The facilities are well managed, clean, and the masseuses wear masks throughout the massage. My mom loved her Swedish massage and is committed to coming back once a month. I booked a 60 minute Swedish massage with Winnie at Oceanic Foot Spa. I was massaged through the blanket, which was definitely a first for me... I'm more of a fan of hands-on massages, but I wasn't sure what the protocol was at this spot since I'd never been before. It was comfortable, don't get me wrong, but there was not enough pressure applied in my opinion. I marked off areas that I wanted to have extra pressure on (shoulders and neck due to typing away at a computer all day), but I still left not feeling like anything had changed much. Which is a shame, considering how labor intensive and pricey massage places can be. If I came back again, I'd definitely ask which massages are skin-to-skin. read more

I can't rave enough about this place. Their 1-hour foot massage is actually a full body massage with just the right amount of time spent in the places where I'm aching the most (entire foot but mainly my heels, lower back, and love the hand massage) I started coming here when I was pregnant and my feet were killing me. They would just have me lay on my back the entire time slightly elevated and that was fine. I've seen a number of different masseuses, mainly ladies (think I've had appts with just about all of them), and they're all exceptional. I've been seeing Jack recently and he is also phenomenal. Highly recommend him and Coco! If you sign up for their email newsletter, they have lots of midweek promos and special offers. Price wise, I think the base price for the foot massages and the recommended tip is reasonable. Scheduling appts is super easy--just create an account and book online. When you arrive, you can choose to pay up front or after the appt. I've arrived a little later for some appts and they ensure the entire hour is spent, even going over to make up the time. My therapist checked in with me multiple times to ensure I wasn't in pain and was mindful of me telling her of my injury and taking the necessary precautions. I had booked one of the last slots of the night and they did not rush me at all. I opted for the 1 hour foot massage and it was amazing. They start you with a brief head massage, followed by a very quick facial massage, moving to arms, shoulders, and hands prior to feet and legs. This is an example of "you get what you pay for". $25 for first time users (60 min foot massage) and then it's $30 after that. They also have a 30 and 90 minute option as well. If you get the "foot massage" you're in an open room with several people. The person next to me fell asleep and was snoring the whole time, so I didn't have a relaxing experience. I also asked my masseuse not to touch my knee cap or the surrounding area since it's currently swollen/bruised all over from an accident. She ended up touching it and putting pressure on it several times. You can also get a Swedish or deep tissue massage. Those are in private rooms where you undress. This is the nicest "foot massage" place I've been to. They put effort into making the lounge nice. It shares the parking lot with Costco, so parking might be difficult at times. They're going to ask you to pay the tip in cash, but they do have the option of running all of it on your credit card. read more

My poor foot was hurtin' so bad amputation seemed like a viable option. But instead I opted to go for my very first foot massage. I had assumed (wrongly) that you'd be sitting in one of those pedicure chairs. Instead I was led into a very large room with 10 beds. Who knew that foot massages were a group activity. There were a number of clients, all laying down on faux leather beds with towels over their eyes. Sort of a morgue with wind chimes vibe .. I opted for the 30 minute massage for $30. Was it everything I'd hoped for and more? Well my foot feels better. The MT was pleasant enough. It was clean. I guess I'm more accustomed to establishing a connection with the MT. But since we were all getting massaged together it's important that we remained quiet. As I learned when the MT removed the towel from over my eyes and I yelled, "PEEK A BOO!" read more
