I discovered this place at their Foster City location and came to this one when I moved back to the San Jose area. I have been to this location many times now and will say that I have never found another place in this price point with as many consistently good massage therapists. Of course, experiences change based on your body and the approach of the massage therapist working with you, but I have yet to leave disappointed. read more

Have been an enthusiastic customer for a while now because you honestly cannot beat this place; it is the whole deal: good prices, relaxing atmosphere, friendly and skilled staff, wide range of appointments available to suit any schedule, great parking - I LOVE the new location, so much easier and less chaotic for parking. They moved from the Almaden Plaza location and parking was always so stressful there. I prefer the new, more intimate location, it is much more cozy and quiet than the previous one. The facility is clean, quiet and relaxing. If you prefer a specific masseuse, when booking online you can view each one's schedule to see what days and times they are available, which is very helpful. We had a wonderful experience with Oceanic Foot Spa! The location and layout of the spa is great. We did the one-hour foot massage, and everyone was super happy with the experience. Our masseuses were Rita, Alex, Steven, Coco, and Cindy. From sharing our massage experiences after our sessions, we know they tailor to what the client needs or knots /tension they feel, which is nice to know that it is not cookie-cutter in any way. It didn't feel rushed, and they checked in to see if you needed more or less pressure. Since we did the food massages, we were in the group room vs. single, and it was well spaced out, giving a sense of privacy. It is the most spaced-out room, based on my experiences at other places where you sometimes feel pretty cramped or like you can hear others breathing/whispering/snoring...not here! I had not been to a foot massage place since moving to the south bay from Redwood City in 2018. I am getting older and have various health issues, and my back frequently hurts. I knew it was time to get back to having massages and was eyeing Oceanic at its old location, but put things off. They moved, and then Covid happened. I bided my time and kept checking the website, and then in January 2021 their website had an announcement that they would be opening up again! My first massage was with Jack. In case you are not familiar with foot spas, a foot massage does not always consist only of a massage on the feet. For example, my favorite service is the 30/30 for $50. This is 30 minutes on the feet and 30 minutes on the rest of the body, full clothed throughout, in the communal room. I have also had the 40/40 for $65, which consists of 40 minutes on the feet and 40 minutes nude massage in a private room. There are other options as well. With the 30/30, first my feet get put into a tub of hot water. Then my face and head are massaged (it is heavenly) followed by my arms and hands. Then the tub is removed and my feet and legs are massaged. After this, I turn over on my stomach and my back, neck, and head are massaged. It's an invigorating experience. I always tell my husband that I feel "noodly" afterward. The place was spotless, with air purifiers, plentiful hand sanitizer, and wipe downs of all stations between customers. Also, masks were required of everyone. I loved my massage so much that I started booking massages for every week, and I've been doing that ever since. After the first couple of weeks I did switch to Michael as my massage therapist, as I have found him to be a better fit for me, but I do have appointments with Jack when Michael is not available. Combined with aquatic PT, the massages I get at Oceanic have eliminated the back pain I had been having, as well as the muscle cramps I had been having. For these reasons alone I would recommend Oceanic, but as you can see from my review, there are so many other reasons why! A note about Covid: There have been a few times when there were Covid exposures, and every time the management is very quick to notify customers and have the affected therapists stay home. Until recently, everyone was required to wear masks and the face part of the massage has been suspended. With things being a little better now, we customers are able to get the face massages again. Also, the owner/manager has contacted me a couple of times to check in about how the service was. He's very attentive and concerned about doing the right thing during Covid. Finally, tips: Yes, we are expected to tip more than 20% if we have a good experience. I have always tipped massage therapists more than 20% and for what they do, I feel that is more than deserved. I love the online booking which is very convenient and when I can't get exactly what I'm looking for I've called in and the front desk staff is very helpful. I read reviews that this place was one of the fancier foot spas and I was not disappointed. First, it was extremely easy to communicate with their receptionist and make an appointment. Every time I spoke to someone on the phone they were completely fluent in english. Super helpful because I was booking massages for a large party and I didn't want a language barrier to cause confusion. Second, the ambiance is perfection! I'm so accustomed to a foot spa's lobby being directly attached to the massage room and having to deal with noisy customers ending/beginning their massage. NOT HERE :) Oceanic has a lobby completely separate from their massage room and it's entirely closed off. The setup is more similar to a high-end massage parlor than a foot spa. Thirdly, the massage was AHHHHHH-MAZING! Cindy was my massage therapist and it was the perfect pressure. (She put in work!) I came with a party of 5 people and everyone was completely happy with their massage. A few people even said, "This was the best massage I've ever had!" Last but not least, you can't beat the price. Hands down my fave massage place. Foot massages for first timers are 25 dollars and for any returning clients 30 still pretty sweet deal for 60 mins. I love how fully quiet the masseuse's were, unlike the past massage spa places i've been to. no one is burping on top of my face or talking too loud OR taking a million years to get the warm water for my feet. Lovin the white sheer curtain around hanging, even though i dont really see them for my eyes were closed the whole time with a towel on it still implemented with the whole vibe of the room, even though its a shared space with others it didnt feel like that because of the soothing music and soft, right temp of air flowing through those sheer curtains it felt as if i am in my own private room. The massage itself was just great. the first time i came my lady just finished her smoke break im guessing because she still smelled like cigarettes which distracted me at first but then her quality of massaging made up for that. and then the second time around, she was just great! i wish i asked for her name i want to get her again next time i come. I booked a 90min massage with Coco and it was great! I didn't know who to choose since everyone seems to have great reviews so I chose the first available female and Coco did not disappoint! There's a diagram at the front desk where you can circle your pain points before your appt and I circled my back. Coco knew exactly where to work on just by feeling where my knots were, I didn't have to tell her anything. She spent a good amount of time on my back which felt great! As she was working on my back, she was asking me if I'm ok along the way. The front lobby, private massage room, and bathroom were all kept very clean and made it a relaxing environment. I've been to a few massage places and this one so far is one of the top ones in the area. If I could, I would go every week, next time I do go, I'll be sure to book with Coco again. read more

This is an example of "you get what you pay for". $25 for first time users (60 min foot massage) and then it's $30 after that. They also have a 30 and 90 minute option as well. If you get the "foot massage" you're in an open room with several people. The person next to me fell asleep and was snoring the whole time, so I didn't have a relaxing experience. I also asked my masseuse not to touch my knee cap or the surrounding area since it's currently swollen/bruised all over from an accident. She ended up touching it and putting pressure on it several times. You can also get a Swedish or deep tissue massage. Those are in private rooms where you undress. This is the nicest "foot massage" place I've been to. They put effort into making the lounge nice. It shares the parking lot with Costco, so parking might be difficult at times. They're going to ask you to pay the tip in cash, but they do have the option of running all of it on your credit card. read more

I just had a massage today with my sister. My sister had Rita and normally, my go to person is Michael but since Michael wasn't working, I had Jack and just wow. If you want an AMAZING back massage he is your guy to go to especially if you've been having alot of tension. I love how Jack starts his massages. Massaging a bit with the light sheet for your body to adjust to the pressure. For me, I enjoy the deep pressure but he definitely asks if the pressure is okay and you can also ask to adjust if it's not to your liking. I do have have a small critique and for him to go slower when massaging hands and lighter pressure on the head but hey maybe that's part of his magic because I came in with a headache and I left feeling like I could fly lol. I really want to like this place, but after giving it a couple tries, I think there are better places in the area. Pro's: VERY clean, following the CDC guidelines, beautiful interior, easy booking system, and very friendly front desk staff. Every time I've been in they have been on time. Con's: I was booked this evening with Rita and she was very nice, but didn't listen to me. I booked a 90 minute foot massage. During the massage she stepped away a few times; the first time for a few minutes to get the tub of water (normal) and then two additional times she stepped away for 10 minutes, both times it was so long I looked at the clock because I was legitimately confused at what was going on, brining my 90 minute massage to 70 minutes at best. She spent 55 minutes solely on my feet and it was extremely uncomfortable. The balls of my feet are extremely sensitive and I asked her not to focus on that area, and if she was going to massage there to be very gentle and she was constantly pressing extremely hard, even with me flinching and asking her to avoid the area- it is actually very sore now. Not even considering the money because it is very affordable at $50 for 90 minutes, I felt like it was a waste of an hour and a half of my time, plus now my feet hurt. read more
