This restaurant was a bit difficult to find because it's on the second level of a medical building. BUT we still gave it a shot. You walk into a VAPE SHOP and the restaurant tables are in the same room. (Not at all what we expected to walk into). It's a very small restaurant (6 tables?) with a small menu. The coffee is good, served in nice tea cups but the food isn't anything special. My fiancé got the eggs and patty. I got the omelet. Portions were small. Omelet is steamed with hardly any cheese. This quiet little café is awesome because it's hidden upstairs for great privacy and it even has an elevator to get there! I really like that they have wifi so it's a great place to relax with your coffee, have food and bring your laptop. My favorite feature about this place is the Nespresso luxury coffee served to you in this gorgeous fine china, no joke. The owner Sada is really friendly and makes delicious goodies. I was pleasantly surprised when I came here. I was looking for a breakfast spot and saw this place on yelp. It's located in a rather odd location (el toro plaza medical center), but I figured odd places usually yield really good food. I was not disappointed at all. The location is rather small, but it provides an opportunity to talk to the people around you and you get a good view of the street. The food was fairly priced according to the portion that is served ( not too much and not too little) and it tastes really good as well. If you're looking for a great breakfast spot and are on a budget, I highly recommend this place. read more

I just went in for a cup of coffee and a bowl of fruit. I am on a strict vegan low carb diet and had just hiked near 20 mikes last two days and was back in town. Bowl of fruit is not standard menu item for cloud Cafe, side of fruit is. The owner graciously made me a bowl out of blueberries, watermelon, and orange slices, very balanced and healthful considering generous amount of blue berries in the bowl at a reasonable price. All I can say is WOW. A friend recommended this place, so we decided to try it I got the steamed omelette with hash brown and toast it was so so good. Others in my party got the Belgian waffle, eggs and meat with coffee. What a steak for $8. It's very quaint, and since everything is fresh made, takes about 10-15 min to get the food. I have lived in California for 4 years now and from San Clemente but had to drive up here for work on my car and randomly found this place. I have nothing but absolutely amazing things to say about this lovely family owner Cafe. Our waiter was so attentive and friendly and our food was delicious, I can't believe the prices with the quality of the food! I have never been to a place where you pay so little and have an amazing experience and food quality at the same time! I was full from breakfast so I didn't finish my eggs and after we got the check the owner came out and asked if I didn't like them. I thought that was so nice of her and it shows you she really cares about her customers. I would recommend this place to anyone. Me and my husband will be back even though it's 25 minutes away. Not sure where all the rave reviews came from but this place is just ok. The food is edible but not fantastic by any means. It's a storefront AND a restaurant. Not sure what they're trying to sell but I see christmas trees in the corner. (It's March) A painting, an empty 5 gallon jug on the floor and some empty aluminum cans in a waste basket next to my table. (Which if you don't know... will gather flies) On to the food. If you are the only customer in the restaurant...Shouldn't your food come out hot? I ordered the two eggs breakfast. The eggs came out hot, and the hash browns came out hot. The bacon was lukewarm (and that's being generous) My toast came out cold. I asked for an orange juice and they brought it out to me in a tea cup. An amount you might serve a child. (I'm a grown ass man). The hash browns they serve you can pick up at any Albertson's or Stater bros. That being said... I'm gonna have to assume that the salsa they served me was also store bought. For being a "mom and pop" shop... I expected more. This place lacks creativity in the food and the place is disorganized. Oh... and if you're gonna serve food... you should probably be clean-shaven. This is a interesting hidden breakfast place. It's a family own business, and the menu & food are very simple. Yet, they use unique China to serve coffee. Since I have two young kids, so seeing kids drawings on the wall as decoration is attractive to me. Service is great and friendly. read more

This morning my husband said let's go out to eat- I want pancakes. So I looked at Yelp to find a new place we have never gone to before and Cloud Cafe came up! When sorting the reviews starting at newest, the first review posted 17 minutes prior with five stars showed pictures of the pancakes saying they were great. Immediately sold. The location is easy to get to, good signage and good parking. There is a cute area for outdoor seating or you can eat at the inside tables. Upon walking up, every table had smiling people, good plates of food, and there was lots of happy laughs. Very good ambiance! We were seated immediately by a nice man, and he quickly came out with our coffee, leaving us our own pot. My husband got an adorable mug with a cloud on it, and I got the prettiest tea cup and coaster ever (seriously obsessed). He got the pancake special with eggs, I got the Denver omelet with potatoes and toast. Food came out in good time, and was divine. The pancakes were perfectly fluffy, sprinkled in powdered sugar, and came with Vermont maple syrup (yummm!). My omelet was incredible and so much I couldn't even finish, my husband could though and he also loved it. The food was served on adorable plates, the environment was very relaxed and very pleasant, with all the food we got, it was all under $25. Seriously incredible for South OC. This is a hidden gem! The food is home cooked and very healthy! Their hamburgers are extra lean and the sandwiches and salads are amazing. We had catered lunches from them and they brought over everything to the office which was very convenient and cleaned up afterwards. It so affordable! This place is the ultimate homey breakfast spot. The owner/server/chef is very attentive and nice. The omelets here are steamed, making them a healthy and fluffy alternative. We were served fresh coffee, fresh OJ, homemade jam, sliced fruit, and fresh salsa to go with our omelets. This place is tricky to find, however there is a sign in front of the medical building pointing you to the 2nd floor.
