My coworker introduced bagels and brew to me and I am soooo grateful. I had been craving a good bagel and this deff hit the spot. I get the might mission viejo - beware it is MESSY! But so so worth it. I don't recommend getting it if you're on a lunch break or with coworkers cause when I say it's messy, it's messy. I've been back a few times on my own and with family and it's my fav order. We've tried their other bagels and cream cheeses and they're really good as well. I've only ordered online but so far, I haven't had any issues. My order has been right and on time every time.

Consistently good bagels! Have been coming here since 2017 and love it every time i come. It is such a neighborhood staple and it is such a good spot to get good quality bagels. I love their lox bagel because it comes with a lot of toppings and sides. The food came out quick and they deliver right to your table. The shop has the same look it always has and it feels so nostalgic coming here.

I used to visit the Mission Viejo location a lot before I moved closer to Lake Forest. I actually like this location a little better due to its corner location and its prettier outdoor seating. Although it's always busy, the line moves quick and the servers are so nice and welcoming. I love that they aren't just a bagel shop and you can get full meals. I do mostly get bagels, but I like having the option when I want a bigger meal for breakfast or lunch.

I love this place! My friends take me here everytime we leave for our cruises. This place is always busy but there's plenty of seating. They have a huge menu and their breakfast bagels are amazing!!

Place is clean and tables were cleaned immediately. inside is well maintained and air conditioned which is nice when it's 80 degrees hot. Staff are very helpful and takes time to answer your questions. Omelet is flavorful but I should have asked to change the cheese topping to cheddar instead of feta. Asked for bagels to be toasted but both came out not toasted. Not sure if it was missed due to being a busy Saturday. Bagels could have used more cream cheese too. Will come back again and ask for bagels to be toasted and see what happens.

After going to Calf and Chick, we noticed Bagel and Brew across the street and a few of our friends wanted to check it out for more of a brunch vibe. Most people got bagels with eggs and drinks like coffee and matcha. Overall, everyone said their coffees and lattes were pretty good and exactly what they were looking for. I decided to get the Strawberry Matcha and my wife did too since it was recommended, but this was honestly a miss. As soon as we got it, the color was super pale green which was already a red flag, and after the first sip it just tasted like straight Strawberry Milk. No real matcha flavor at all, very milky, very sweet, and just not it. Definitely not a place I would ever order matcha from again. That being said, the bagels were actually really good. We tried a few different ones like a Sourdough, Wheat, and a more classic rainbow style bagel, and all of them were light, airy, and still had that fluffy but slightly chewy texture you want. The cream cheese was also very good. It seems like this place leans way more into their bagels than anything else, which makes sense. If you are coming here for bagels and coffee, you will probably be happy. Just skip the matcha.

Wonderful start to the day, getting my jalapeño bagel with garlic, herb, cream cheese! Family members are with me, the employees here such as Emiliano, and Luke, add an extra Ray of sunshine to the day. It's always a positive vibe here, everybody from the community really appreciates Bagels & Brew.

Their bagels are the best in town!! I have been going here for years! And even after moving to SD i have yet to find anything close to this. Their prices are also unbeatable!! I got their french toast bagel with apricot cream cheese and blueberry bagel with maple walnut cream cheese. Neither were extremely sweet. On the other hand, if you are looking for a good cup of coffee then you might want to go somewhere else. Their coffee is not very good. Also, it's usually very busy and takes a while to get your order so might want to prepare yourself for at least a 15 mins wait time. Which is why, i have this place a 4/5

Came here this past Sunday with a friend around 8:30am and I guess we got there at a good time because it got packed as soon as we sat down and got our food! They have an extensive menu with a lot to choose from and while we were deciding a sweet lady came over mentioning how anything and everything that she's ordered here has been great and they haven't done her wrong since the past 8 years she's been coming. Even the waiter knew her and called her by name which gave me a lot of confidence when I placed my order! I got the Sun-dried Tomato & Basil Sunrise sandwich on an onion bagel, and my friend got a vegetable omelette with a side of sourdough toast. We sat down after ordering but didn't realize that they had extra seating further in the back right of the restaurant which may have been a quieter spot. The food came out pretty quickly and it was all still very warm and fresh from them making it in the back. I liked my bagel and appreciated the fresh, ripe tomato and onions with a fried egg on top, but my only wish was that I could have tasted the sun-dried tomatoes a bit better since I felt that pop of flavor was lacking (or maybe even entirely missing?). My friend shared with me her toast and omelette as well! The toast was great even despite my liking more of a crispy crunch (you can never really mess up toast), but similarly to my bagel, I felt the omelette was lacking a bit in a pop of flavor. Perhaps more salt and maybe using shredded cheese instead of laying a slice on top would have helped with that. Overall it was a decent breakfast and a filling way to start the day, but nothing to write home about. It does make me happy to see a place that's still around after such a long time and with that I can tell you will at least get consistent food and service.

Great local hang out for breakfast and lunch. My wife and I met with a friend here recently and although I frequent the Mission Viejo location more often due to closer to my house, I used to live a block from this location. The food here is always good, there's so much more than just Bagels and Brew! They have very good breakfasts, and good sammiches too! This place can get busy, but it seems to always move quickly, and I've never had an issue finding a seat to eat. The bagels I've only had a few times and IMO they are bagels, nothing special, but still good. The service is always excellent and the workers are always super friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking!

I've been following Bagels & Brew on social media and finally went there to buy the colorful bagels. They are as pretty in person as they are in the pictures! A couple things to be aware of: 1. Apparently there is a restriction of 6 bagels per walkup order. Not sure if you can order more by calling in advance, but that was good to know from the sign near the cashier. 2. The bagels were a little more dry than regular bagels. The good news is that I smothered mine in cream cheese which hid that fact a little. I would like to go back and try their breakfast menu during my next visit. It was busy when I was there so I'm guessing that's a good sign.

Bagels and brew is a Lake Forest staple. Lake Forest is where I grew up and bagels and brew is always on the list of where I need to visit to make sure I've done everything that is home. While the quality of the bagel is not the best I've ever had, it is unique bagel flavors, great cream cheeses, and a plethora of sandwich options. They also have other foods like omelets, baked goods, and drink options other than coffee. With all of this, I must mention that their service and seating options are great. They have a ton of outdoor and indoor seating options. Ordering at the counter is also made easy when they bring the items to your table and grab you anything you might need. Bagels and brew is a great breakfast or lunch option certain to please everyone.

This place has a humongous menu, pretty much anything you could imagine. The bagel sandwiches that we got were both really good and the bagel itself was pretty OK as well. It gets pretty busy and seating can sometimes be a challenge but overall OK.

Do they offer gluten free bagels?

Yes, they have a separate menu that is all gluten free. You have to ask them for it.

I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and initially thought it was good. Their coffee and drinks are pretty simple and on the more plain side. Personally, I thought the coffee could have been stronger, especially since I usually drink coffee for the caffeine and expect it to give me a little more of a boost. Unfortunately, by the time I got home, I was only halfway through my coffee when my stomach started hurting pretty badly, and I ultimately ended up spending much longer in the bathroom than I would have liked. I drink coffee pretty frequently (probably five out of seven days a week) and I generally don't have this kind of reaction to the different coffees I drink. I also hadn't consumed anything besides water this morning, so I'm fairly confident the coffee was what upset my stomach. My biggest concern is that if I had gotten this coffee before heading to work and had the same reaction, I would have been cooked. Thankfully, today was my day off. Aside from that experience, the shop itself has plenty of seating, and the staff is very friendly. It's really unfortunate that I had such a bad reaction to the coffee because, otherwise, I didn't have any major complaints about the place.

It's just because I don't know what it means to practice financial discernment when it comes to fresh bread. And welllllll, look at who's back at Brio Brio Bakery & Cafe again...... I used to come here way more often back when I had recurring appointments in the area, but these days I rarely ever find myself in South OC. Tonight, however, I had a last minute opportunity fall into my lap when I was invited off the wait list to attend a Yelp Elite event at Onyx Golf. Naturally, I had to make an "unnecessary" bakery detour before moseying my way over to the actual main event. Listen -- you have your priorities and I have mine. We listen and we don't (critically) judge! Upon arriving to my old stomping grounds, I immediately went for my usual: the hojicha Basque cheesecake. Some things don't need to be reinvented. It's still rich and creamy as ever, and it's basically the reason I still come back to this place. Since I don't get down here as often anymore, I figured I'd live life a little more frivolously and grab some items I haven't tried before, such as their prime beef curry, kurobuta miso sausage, honey toast, and a GF brownie. My plan for a sweet treat quickly evolved into a larger commitment of carbohydrates, but honestly, I'd like to think of these items as a gift from past me to future me. Brio Brio is also running a promo right now where you get a free cookie with purchase during certain hours. I just want to be fully transparent that I don't remember what those hours are or how long the promo is running, just that it's a weekday ordeal. I know, incredibly insufferable Yelp Elite reporting on my part. You'll simply just have to go in and ask them about it or look for the signage near the register, and then purchase that item you need to qualify for the deal to begin with. Consider my review a very detailed advertisement about a potentially complimentary cookie that idk how to explain the sourcing means for. Lmao, my bad, y'all. Either way, it was refreshing to visit again after all these years. If you're stopping by Brio Brio, you really need to get the hojicha Basque cheesecake. That's singlehandedly the menu item I'll keep coming back for, even when it means I'll be suffering in rush hour traffic on the drive back home.
