It was a cold and very lightly drizzly night when I came here with friends, but the line was out the door. It kept moving, though, so the wait was actually not bad at all. There were so many flavors to choose from. I wanted a coffee ice cream, but sadly, they were out, so I settled for a chocolate salted caramel. I didn't expect how much I would be getting - a single scoop on a double was a LOT of ice cream. It was delicious, though. It was also pretty easy to find a place for the four of us to sit down and enjoy our ice cream, so that was nice. I'd love to come back the next time we're visiting to try other flavors.

The ice cream here was amazing! The line was long but it wasn't too bad of a wait at all! We really wanted to try the caramelized banana but it was out for the day but all the other flavors were really great! The employees are very nice too!

My favorite and most underrated ice cream shop in Portland. I mean underrated here more in that less people in town seem to know about it - those of us that have been know it's legit! It's a lesser known gem for all of us living in deep southeast. All the flavors are solid and I always have hard time choosing which one I want. They have quite a few gluten free and vegan options as well Line can get long, but they are always well staffed and I think the line moves pretty fast. Never had a problem with parking, and it's a great central location along Woodstocks main drive which makes it a great "add-on" stop when I am doing any errand in the neighborhood.

We were in the area craving some ice cream and randomly stumbled upon Cloud City Ice Cream, and it was definitely worth the stop! They have many special and unique flavors and I ended up picking the sasquatch one and the gold digger as they had a perfect blend of ice cream and toppings! And considering I only got the regular size, it was so much! The service was fine and we were able to get through quickly, the only thing is that the store is rather small so be prepared to line up outside.

Got the brown butter ice cream with cornbread with blueberry sauce. Yup All the scoops were good. Fun spot, great flavors.

In January, I wrote a review discussing the racism I experienced at this establishment. I was contacted by the owner via email after my review. The owner asked how I would like things resolved. I went ahead and informed him of what I recommended such as: 1. Writing said employee up. 2. Learning how to create an inclusive space with the example of Rose City Coffee Co. as a starting point, as I have always felt safe there. 3. Contacting me back for follow-up, so that I know some form of accountability was done. I informed him that it is up to him to decide what to do, but sadly, he never bothered to follow up with me, and informed me of whether or not steps had been taken to address the racism at his establishment. I am extremely disappointed that I never received an email back. If he would have followed up, I would have considered returning to his establishment, but I am afraid I cannot say this. There was a major rupture as a result of the lack of accountability without the repair via accountability that is necessary. I believe, as a matter of respect, I deserved a follow up. I have attached the original post.

Better Than Therapy - regular scoop on a complimentary sugar cone

Wow, this was truly the best icecream I've ever had, and you get SO MUCH for a reasonable price. The basic cone comes free but my friend got the waffle cone which was worth the extra $2 - you immediately smell the deliciousness of the fresh waffle cones when you step inside. I got the "Better Than Therapy" flavor which was almost like a lemon pie, with plenty of amazing "crust" - this place does NOT skimp on their toppings! The inside was very clean and cute. The workers were friendly and let you sample as much as your heart desires. I can't wait to come back!

This is a really good ice cream spot. Definitely above average. If you like mix ins this is the place for you. The cookie dough flavor is almost 50% dough to ice cream ratio. I got the circus friends which was really good. I feel like there were almost too many cookies mixed in but that's just my preference. It was 5.50$ for a regular size which in my opinion is a good price for ice cream these days. Employees are friendly and let you try samples. Some indoor and outdoor seating. Would recommend!

Visited Cloud City Ice Cream on a warm evening and tried the strawberry and Magic Sparkle flavors. Both were fun in different ways. The strawberry had that classic, creamy texture with a flavor that actually tasted like ripe fruit rather than something artificial. The Magic Sparkle was more playful, with a swirl of colors and subtle hints of vanilla and candy and it definitely made for people who enjoy something whimsical without being cloying. The staff behind the counter were upbeat and patient, offering samples and giving honest input when I asked about flavor pairings. Even with a small line, the service felt personal and not rushed. The shop itself has a quirky, neighborhood feel. It's colorful without being overdone, with just enough seating to sit and enjoy your scoop. You can tell it's a local favorite, with families, couples, and solo visitors all stopping in. It's the kind of place that doesn't try too hard but gets the details right. Worth a stop if you're nearby and looking for small-batch ice cream with personality.

Wow. Dare I say it?.... It is better than salt and straw. There. I said it. So many amazing flavors and a great selection of vegan options! It's a cute place with some fun decorations. But the real draw is the phenomenal ice cream! I highly suggest that you check it out!

    Unicorn is so good!

Always love the opportunity to drop by Cloud City. They have such an amazing range of flavors, and the staff are always friendly. I appreciate that they have wooden spoons instead of plastic and options for different dietary needs. I had the Unicorn today which was definitely moreish. It had a nice mix of textures with refreshing, hidden strawberry bites amidst the red velvet goodness.

I'm always excited to try new ice cream in Portland! I tried a couple flavors and they were all good, but I ordered a regular size scoop of the Circus friends, which is sweet cream ice cream with mother's frosted animal cookies. It was good but not amazing. There aren't enough cookies in it and the base doesn't have a ton of flavor. The serving was huge though! My husband couldn't even finish his. Cloud City is definitely worth a visit if you're in the Woodstock area.

If I was a billionaire, I'd invest in this shop to open a second location by me in Maine. Small batch and homemade, these ice creams are luscious and delicious. They are not sickly sweet, and they don't need to be. They really let the flavors shine on their own. The thai iced tea is my favorite flavor, though the fresh banana is up there too. This trip already I have visited once IRL and later I ordered a shake from them for delivery to my hotel, which was great! No drop in quality there and they drew a cute little note. The service has always been amazing throughout the years. Got to meet THE Miss Oz herself one visit too! Scoops or in shake form, it's a must visit when we find ourselves back in PDX!

The vibe appears to be one of modern appearances, with old-school "ice cream parlor" ambiance (50s and 60s music is what is played, and I appreciate this). Variety of flavors is wide, and there are fresh cookies available. Prices are on the high side (location, though), the interior is very clean, and staff is very friendly and helpful. The cookies were disappointing, but not bad. Ice cream was on the better side of average, but is nothing groundbreaking. I definitely recommend stopping in for a fun experience if you're in the neighborhood.

Ok.... disappointments in order of appearance with the disclosure, up front that we were visiting them in their last 30 minutes open.... having no intention whatsoever to eat our treats there but also figuring we'd have time to try stuff, get stuff and be ok. First disappointment - we both really were looking forward to trying, and assuming we would be eating the flavor they've been promoting - peanut butter butterscotch. Sounds so good right? Well we wouldn't know, because both the gals behind the counter almost mocked us for even thinking that they would have it available. It was a weird flex... truly they didn't even have a marker for it or language saying they were out of it - they just said it was not available in a weird way. I asked permission to try a few flavors... and gal number 1 give me an enthusiastic yes , which I appreciated. I'm sorry but I always want to try so many things, realizing that with each try, most flavors are too much - or would be too much if I got an order of it. I try to only taste 2-3 but almost always end up ordering the one I don't try which is vanilla (yep, that is how I roll). I tried the boysenberry which was incredible but, too much. I then tried the mint chocolate and confirmed I still don't like theirs (I had forgot it very punchy mint, more like mouthwash than fro yo) but I always try it because I keep hoping they will change the recipe. Soooo... gal 1 went away leaving gal 2. It genuinely felt like we just got handed to the bouncer... I honestly felt afraid to try anything else because she immediately was very aggressive... like "What else" isn't a question but an order to GTFO. This intensified as my friend had questions because she's vegan, so making sure things are vegan and she was curious about getting a shake - more going for a blizzard situation. Gal 2 started lecturing her about flavors saying she was interested in too many (because M&Ms & vegan butterfingers apparently ate a ridiculous ask?). She was also saying it would be chunky - isn't that the point? My friend asked if she had had a shake there and was given a very stern NO. It was just a bit insane... like, I appreciate you are maybe wanting to close early but WOW. I said , I just want vanilla thank you... and I figured I would just order Oreos on top - again, simple. She then lectured me that they don't have that and was trying to add cookie dough... ummm... have you had an Oreo? That is a completely different flavor, texture and thing .... and no... I started asking if there was any fresh fruit or something and she seemed confused at the question... I walked almost to the register and saw marion berry compote. Yes, that's all please angry person... my friend took her time ordering while I practically ran out. I was just super uncomfortable. She had perfect eyebrows I really wanted to compliment her on but it has been a bit since I felt such strong GTFO vibes. I assume maybe she had a spicy customer before us earlier but eek. It's so true about every encounter. I'll definitely remember this one as being pretty unpleasant. My friend joked that gee, her shake was delicious even though it was apparently made with pure hate.
