I first heard about Cloveberry from a co-worker of mine who had gone and loved it. It's kind of hard to spot nestled in the Victorian houses of Main St. Sparta. Nonetheless, I have eaten here four times. Three times take-out, once in. I have to say compared to Cafe Pierrot down the street, this place has phenomenal customer service as well as food, pastries, and yummy beverages. I have tasted antioxidant salad, tuna salad, chicken salad, and turkey avocado panini! Everything was fresh and made to order. Only thing I must say which was a small downfall was the wait when I went to pick up. (10-15 mins.). Understandable for a start-up cafe though! This place is always packed during lunch hours, but that just goes to show how great the food is and how exceptional customer service is! I didn't have a fork back at my office and they went as far as to offer me their silverware when they didn't have plastic! So so nice. Concerned about price? It looks razzy jazzy on the outside as well as in, but it's pretty affordable. ($8- 12). Most of their sandwiches come with a small side salad and some chips. I have yet to try their desserts but hear they are great as well! If you are a coffee or tea fanatic like me, this is also the place for you! So many different teas and coffee drinks/flavors. This is a super cute shop. I chilled here for a couple hours doing work while on the road. I hope I get a chance to stop by again. I had tea and a quiche. They have a great assortment of loose leaf tea and a pretty decent sized menu for being a coffee shop. I like the very casual seating around what seems to be an old house. Run by a brother and sister and mother who do EVERYTHING, Cloveberry is spotlessly clean and comfortable and very welcoming. Every coffee drink I've had there is awesome. My husband and I are obsessed with our local coffee shop, Cloveberry! We are coffee snobs and once we moved to Byram, we were thrilled that we had such an amazing coffee house with a welcoming environment. The food is also so fresh and made from local farms! We truly look forward to our mornings there. David and his wife, along with staff, are nothing but great and friendly people. David remembers our names every time! We have been here a few times and always have the same experience. Great coffee and great food, but the staff is so snotty! It's almost a joke when we go because we expect the eye-rolling teenager vibe from the staff. Awesome vibe from this little cafe, have yet to try the brunch menu however lunch offerings + smoothies are incredible.

Bad service. They never mentioned that I had to place the order at the counter because there is no waitress. I wasted almost 10 minutes waiting for a waitress before I went to the counter. I asked the young lady at the counter if we had to place our order with her. She said I could. I waited another 3 -4 minutes standing right in front of her to take my order. She never looked up because she was counting money. I finally asked the other counter person if she could help me? They eventually took my order after another almost 5 minute wait with no one else at the counter. When my supposedly "tuna melt" came to our table the cheese was just thrown on the sandwich without melting it. Needless to say it was not good. The sandwich was tasteless. Absolutely love this place. I ordered a lavender latte and the avocado caprese and I can't say enough good things about this place! I've gone back several times and had the salmon Omega, Jersey breakfast and classic twist. So far the open face sandwiches are my favorite. I look forward to eating everything on this menu! This is my second time eating here after about 2 years or so. This time I went in with a few friends, they each ordered a sandwich. I wasn't that hungry but I was extremely thirsty on this hot day, so I ordered the Frozen Oreo Drink and unfortunately I was extremely disappointed with it. It tasted like a Frozen chocolate milk, (it honestly tasted like they used Nesquik chocolate powder) rather then anything remotely close to Oreo flavored. I sent it back hoping they could make it better. They were nice about it, but it still didn't work for me. So I just sat there with my tap water, and had to get up and go to the front and ask for more because they never came back to check on us. If i go again, I just won't order their frozen drinks. Also the place is extremely small, cute, but again very close quarters. Almost walked right into the kitchen instead of the bathroom. I'm crazy about this place. I grew up in the area but moved to NYC last year, and only make it back once in a blue moon with old friends. The owners recognize me and feel like a valued customer every time. Their pumpkin chai in the fall is the best thing ever, and their lattes are delicious. This is an updated review. Recently had lunch at Cloveberry with my wife sitting on their back porch. The service was surprisingly fast, and the food was really tasty! I ordered a curry chicken wrap. Enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere. I had previously written that Cloveberry is quite small inside and a bit crowded (which still holds true), but this is a nice little spot. I really loved this place for brunch. I had the Avacado Caprese Toast and, even though the cheese wasn't melted (which is pretty picky) the toast was delicious. I also had the probiotic berry smoothie which was delicious! The only problem is the chia seeds kept getting stuck in my teeth which is less than glamorous but that's a small detail. I've always loved Cloveberry! The inside is super cute, staff is always friendly (please tip them well, they deserve it!) and I never have any complaints about the food!
