    Rosemary Fries and Falafel Skewer
    Kevino C.

Spacious interior in a great location. Staff were friendly. Got the rosemary fries and falafel skewer plate. Fries were salted well but they get cold fast so eat that first. The cabbage was great. The hummus was flavorful and a little zippy. Definitely a good lunch spot.

This place hits the mark for price, time, quantity and quality of food. The hardest part of your experience is selecting your food because everything looks amazing. The flavors in my selection were incredible. The staff members were super friendly and genuine. The restaurant itself has great seating options and the atmosphere is bright and cheery. This place is officially a go to for me.

Very unhappy with the (lack of) service this morning. The 1 crew member working was obviously overwhelmed by the 2 people in the restaurant at 7:10. He had to remake the eggs which were not cooked through, "7 or 8 minutes" he said and put another pan of water on the cooktop. 20 minutes later the other customer said to just hand him an egg and he would cook it. I took my Impossible sausage and cheese (still no egg) and coffee and headed to my office (late for work). There is a definite need for experienced people, and more than one, to be at work in the morning. I understand training, but the trainee should not be left alone to run the restaurant.

"Impossible meat" sausage with soft boiled egg and cheese on a pita at Clover

Breakfast and laptop this morning at Clover's location in the Financial District. I was impressed from the time I walked in and was greeted by a friendly and helpful staff member. I had no idea what I wanted, but the shirt the young lady was wearing advertised a sausage and egg and cheese sandwich, so I had one of those. Great choice. The egg was soft boiled and served on top a spicy sausage patty and some sharp cheddar cheese on a cute fluffy pita bread. And here's the kicker, the sausage is "impossible meat" made from plants. It tasted just like sausage to me! And the soft boiled egg? An awesome alternative to a fried egg. With it, a cup of their cafe au lait which was delicious even if it was extremely hot. Which was fine - I sat for a good two hours with my laptop and no one minded. I love this concept.

I love the concept of Clover (local! sustainable! seasonal! experimental!), but I really wasn't blown away by the food. It isn't bad by any means, but it just isn't anything outstanding. I got the egg and eggplant platter, and I thought the components were all ok but not very memorable - my favorite part was probably the fried eggplant, though it was a little bland without the tahini sauce. My friend got the sandwich version of this and it completely fell apart due to the sheer amount of sauce. I also tried some of the chickpea fritters and they seemed just ok - not bad but not the best falafel I've had either. I'm not sure why some people view Clover as healthy just because it's vegetarian, as many items are fried and/or doused in sauce. I can definitely see myself coming back if I'm in the area and want a quick and not-too-filling meal though. Unsure whether I'm a fan or not of the item names on the menu (e.g. egg and eggplant instead of sabich and chickpea fritter instead of falafel) - I can't decide if it's avoiding "sounding foreign" to make the food seem more palatable to a certain demographic or if it's avoiding the pitfall of false authenticity. I really appreciate the up-to-date menus online though, and again I really love the philosophy behind this place and how experimental and receptive to feedback they are.

    Chick pea fritter sammich

If you're vegan or vegetarian, try this place! Lots to offer. My fav is the chick pea fritter sammich - this thing is jam packed with falafel, pickled veggies, and hummus stuffed into a whole wheat pita . NOM. I also like their breakfast sammich, and muffins. Breakfast sammich is simple: soft boiled egg, cheddar cheese, tomato slices and a dash of black pepper in a whole wheat pita. This protein filled thing will get you going all morning. I have not tried their coffees yet, but I will soon. If you're in the Financial District and need a good bite, pop in here. There's no meat, but you won't be disappointed, I promise.

An uber cool vegan friendly chain with an interesting, continuously evolving menu and awesome service. This is my goto place when in mood for a vegetarian lunch. Most of the ingredients they use are on the healthy side which makes this place all the more preferable. They initially started with a food truck near financial district and an year ago(2016) opened this awesomely set store. The staff members at the entrance are more than happy to answer all our questions regarding the menu and even suggest something to your liking. Clover, all-in-all has great food with excellent customer service that sets this place apart from the rest.My favorite items are the chickpea sandwich and egg and eggplant.

    Hearty Vegetable Soup

I love clover. I've loved clover since the food truck only days! So when there was one next to my office, I was stoked. Like most, I started with the chickpea fritter and rosemary fries. An amazingly flavorful and crunchy sandwich. Then I started venturing to the egg and eggplant. Then I started signing up for their app and emails and now I am always trying their latest experiment. The Hearty Vegetable Soup is, by far my favorite. The Panella sandwich, I can't wait for it to come back. This location is very accessible. Bathrooms are gender neutral and the place is clean with a ton of seating. The staff is nice and the people in front of the counter are always willing to answer your questions.

I got the mezze platter. The falafel is crispy and tasty. It comes with a homemade and yummy hummus. It also comes with fermented cabbage and veggies ! This would be a great place for lunch. So many vegan and vegetarian options. Really healthy food with all the calories on the menu.

First time here and um, comme si, comme ça.... PROS: Speedy ordering process even at busy lunch hour by friendly employee; cool how next to each menu item it says how long it takes to prepare it! Also, knowing they have no refrigerators, everything is made fresh THAT day. CONS: I realized how LOUD it was when I had to yell my name for my order over the music. Watermelon soup came in a coffee (?) cup--lid was a coffee cup lid--and the infamous chickpea fritter sandwich. I hoped the watermelon soup would be refreshingly tangy, but it was overpowered by too many scallions, salt with no discernible watermelon flavor. Sent it back. Sandwich was a monstrosity; great if you're a typical guy or you just came from a workout and you're starving, otherwise it's essentially half a container of hummus on a delicious pita with 4/5? smallish falafels, red cabbage/carrot slaw. Unfinishable in one sitting, I wrapped it up and stuck it in the fridge at work. Will I feel like eating the rest of a inevitably soggy sandwich later? Note to self: maybe the fritter plate next time. Due to the horrendous soundsystem--they might've been playing awesome music, but who could tell?---sheer amount of glass (although striking), concrete and other hard surfaces it is uncomfortably loud. Loud enough that it could've drowned out a screaming baby. Loud like Faneuil Hall food court loud. Add that to the most uncomfortable, tiny padded stools that were almost too high off the ground (I feel sorry for those with short legs), it was quite possibly the least relaxing lunch I've had in a while. Lastly, would it be too much to ask for condiment containers for the sriracha & ketchup?

Blueberries with my oatmeal and Guatemalan pour over coffee. Yes.
