The ambiance had a clean organized feel. They had enough gluten free options. I decided to give it a try. Items with a "g" beside them were gluten free. Updating my review: I find Sweetgreen has improved continuously over the years by adding more options and finding more ways to be green (using less water, using compoastable everything). still find it ridiculous that half an avocado is $2, especially when the person making the salad usually scoops out half of that half and throws the rest away. The scoops for the chicken are super small. Like maybe teo tablespoons worth, so you really do need two scoops if you want a normal amount of meat. That'll cost more ofc. The seating for this location is decent and it's usually pretty clean. I'd recommend this more for a grab-n-go than sit down. read more

Wow this place really lives up the hype. Everything on the menu sounded delicious. We got there around noon on a Saturday. The line was long but it went by very quickly. I ordered the harvest bowl with a side of bread. It was all so yummy and I never wanted my food to end! The workers were friendly and efficient at getting everyone through the line. A downside was that the restaurant was small and didn't have a lot of space to eat. We were able to take our food around the block and eat in a park area. Delivery service via Uber. Hair in all 3 dishes of food. Called Uber to complain and they credited for one dish only although all three had hair in them. Called credit card company who credited the entire amount. Afterwards, Uber would not allow a ride unless we paid them again for the food and ride. So very disappointed and upset that sweet green has terrible food and there's no way to complain about it as sweetgreen has no Customer Service phone number. A great healthy spot with plenty of options for all diets. My order: kale Caesar and a special Fresca drink. Pros: delicious salad and the squeeze of lime sets it apart from other salads. The price was right for the food, and is very well located. Everything is compostable though, which is great for the planet Cons: the frescas were not good. They were about $3, and just had weak flavour. Definitely not worth the money for the drink. Another con is that the lids on the salad bowls are concave, so you don't actually get the full bowl of salad- see photo. My coworkers love sweet green so I decided to try it out! I am not a salad person but I do like grain bowls so I ordered the elote bowl. The salad came with lots of fresh ingredients and heirloom tomatoes. The tomatoes were delicious and the overall mix of the corn/quinoa & lime jalapeno dressing was very tasty. The one downside was that the salad didn't come with any protein. I checked out the menu and most of the standard salads do come with meat for under $12. I added chicken to mine and the total came to about $15.50 (with tax) which is a bit high for a quick lunch. Also, the amount of chicken I got was extremely small. It almost didn't matter that I added it in because it was like looking for waldo in the salad. Where is the chicken? I would eat here again but will stick to the salads that already come with protein. Also, service was terrible. The people working there seemed very unhappy. read more

Decided to try sweetgreen when I was looking for a healthy/quick option nearby. It was poppin' for a Sunday afternoon at around 4:30. I ordered the Mexican Corn Elote bowl (warm quinoa, organic arugula, roasted corn + peppers, tomatoes, shredded cabbage, local goat cheese, spicy sunflower seeds, lime cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette). I had chicken added because I didn't think I would be full without the protein, but I was actually struggling to finish by the end. I really enjoyed this bowl and I normally don't even like quinoa. The only thing I would switch out is the goat cheese, because I'm not a huge fan in general, but even this wasn't bad. It was fresh and creamy. In fact, I feel like all of their ingredients tasted pretty fresh. Plus I loved the lime cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette. It was light, yet packed a huge flavor. Now that I've discovered sweetgreen, and found out that they have various locations throughout NYC, I'll definitely be frequenting this place more. P.S.
