We dined in at Clucker's. We sat inside by the open doors and it seemed like a storm was going to crack open at any moment. We stayed nice and dry and I enjoyed a Chicken Lasagna (special) that was filled with shredded chicken and layers of melty cheese. It took a little longer for my dish to come out vs my companion's salad, but it was worth waiting for. It also came with two slices of very tasty garlic bread.

This has beeb on my list to try for awhile and we finally did! On a cold Saturday afternoon the place was empty. You place your order at the count4er ,find a table and your order is brought to you. The restauraunt was a bit cold and each time the door opened a burst of cold air filled the place, making it uncomfortable. My husband had the chicken tacos. Three generous tacos, filled with chicken and topped with pico de gallo, cheese and salsa. He would have liked cilantro sprinkled on top. It came with beans and rice. I had the Half a Clucker, chicken with cornbread, sweet potato and cole slow, The chicken was charred which added to the flavor and it was moist and tender . The chicken was excellent. The food was very good but the rest of the experience was ok. The restaurant was a bit worn and gave the impression of not being overly clean, service was ok and the experience was underwhelming.

First off, heads up that you order directly at the counter when you walk in, and then you can pick any spot you like it's a pretty spacious joint with plenty of seating. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout, which is always a plus. A small note on the drinks I was a bit bummed they were out of a few things I was looking forward to, especially the pineapple, Jamaica, and even the peach tea. I had my heart set on that pineapple drink. But let's get to the good stuff the food. You absolutely have to try the BBQ brisket sandwich. Seriously, it's out of this world, way better than anything I've tasted at other local BBQ spots. I'd definitely recommend it over the chicken sandwiches, though those are decent too. And don't even think about leaving without getting some mac and cheese it's deliciously creamy and a total winner. I also tried the Cajun chicken sandwich with a spicy kick. It was good, but the spicy was just okay not as fiery as I'd hoped and the taste was not to good. Next time, I think I'll just stick to the original version. The roasted beet apple salad was delicious and highly recommend with grill chicken. Overall, despite a couple of minor drink disappointments, the food was genuinely fantastic and I had a really great meal. Definitely worth checking out.

The food was good and fresh. The chicken was cooked with perfection. The potato chips are made on site and crunchy as can be. We were greeted and seated promptly with our food in hand within six minutes This restaurant offers outdoor or indoor. It's a very nicely decorated place, which is very fresh and clean.

    1/2 Rotisserie Chicken

Clucker's rotisserie chicken is delicious, juicy and tender. The brick chicken is more spicy - there's a little heat in the seasoning - but not too hot, just enough to keep things exciting. And once I dipped it in some pesto sauce, the sweet-savory tango began and before I knew it I had eaten more than I planned and was tempted to drink the rest of the sauce. Y-UM. I had a sweet potato for my side and it was the best sweet potato I ever had! I don't know how they prepare them (maybe steamed?) but I didn't need to put anything on it and it was perfectly tender. So full I didn't eat the cornbread muffin or much slaw. Good snacks to take home. Casual, warm, welcoming vibe, with touches of rooster whimsy. High ceilings and airy with the large front doors open. It's open seating with 2 outdoor seating areas. You walk up to a counter to place your order and they give you a number to take to your table and they deliver your food when it's ready. They also bus the tables. Hard working and attentive service. Looking forward to our next visit.

This was a Yelp recommend stop for lunch and didn't disappoint. We were greeted promptly and had the menu explained. I asked about the Cluckers sauce and was promptly brought a sample with homemade chips to try. It's a honey mango sauce with the slightest spice on the finish. A little too sweet for me but delicious and unique. The portions are huge so either go really hungry, plan to share, or plan on at least one if not two meals of leftovers. The half a chicken ain't no skinny little thing! We have enough chicken to make some chicken salad with the leftovers the hubs and I brought home. The Mac and cheese and rosemary red potato sides were equally hearty. The brick chicken I got was super crispy and fall off the bone tender. My hubs got a side of bbq sauce which had some kick but we loved it. However honestly the chicken didn't need anything. It was perfect by itself. It reminded me of chicken vesuvio with the lemony notes and seasoning.

Was it a sign that we should get some mothercluckin' chicken after seeing the brightly colored catering truck drive by us 3-4 times as we enjoyed the Highwood carnival prior to dinner? LOL. Clucker's is kid friendly, as they have kid menus and crayons for entertainment. I'd say there's about 4-5 kid meal options, like chicken tenders, Mac and cheese, and sandwiches. It also comes with a drink. Note to my future self: just get the kiddos water next time vs Sierra Mist bc they were preeettty hyped up after consuming more than enough of it. Think the vibes of little kids dramatizing late night drunkies in the backseat of an Uber: excessive giggling, talking 2-3x the necessary volume, and goofy shenanigans and nonsensical gibberish. Onto the food! I was underwhelmed by the Cajun chicken sandwich, mostly bc it was quite under seasoned and was overall just bland and one note. The cheese and sauce didn't contribute much to it. Me trying to be healthy that night opted for the side of grilled veggies, comprised of bell peppers and squash. The runaway highlight is the side of homemade chips! Yum! It's the stuff dreams are made of... crisp, perfectly salty, and thinly cut! Staff is friendly. Interior is open. Glad to have tried it, but this chicken will cross the road for another dining establishment next go around.

Stopped here during a visit to the Nashwood Fest. Ordered the plant based Cajun Chicken Crisp sandwich. Is was absolutely delicious with the peanut cole slaw. I would highly recommend this place. Excellent food and service. UPDATE: I called and found out that this is made with soy protein. So sad because I really loved it but can't have soy due to previous health issues. If you can eat soy protein then I'd highly recommend it.

This small but clean restaurant offers a wary traveler a fine selection of food. I was a first-time visitor. The potato chips were freshly fried and arranged in a flower bouquet shape. The two-piece chicken with bean soup looked mighty tasty. I had the chicken pot pie with side salad. There were generous chunks of chicken with simple seasonings. At the ordering station, the rotisserie chickens were slowly roasting or heated. I generally do not order juice, but I am pleasantly surprised that the pineapple juice was tasty. The staff were not wearing masks and were friendly.

Call this a Cluckers chicken?!! Looks awful.

Not only did the deliver take way longer than the hour they quoted but the breast they sent was awful looking like a piece of boiled chicken.

Even if we don't consider its rarity, Da Local Boy is a winner in every category. The prices are very fair for the enormous portion sizes, the decor is fun and appropriate, the service is friendly, and food is phenomenal both in flavors and textures. The only possible criticisms are that the space is a bit small for how popular this spot gets, and the parking in the area can be a bit limited around popular meal times. The food here shines, making it worth a special trip -- both again for the rarity but also the quality. For me, the poke nachos are a must order item, just the perfect mix of large chunks of tuna with super crispy wontons, fresh avocado, and a good helping of sauce. Amongst friends, we've agreed that this is a must order item. The huli huli chicken is also unreal in flavor and texture. Besides being marinated and sauced well, the chicken is melt in your mouth tender while simultaneously having a delicious crisp skin. Think brick chicken, but with more flavor and a much better price. The rice and macaroni salad that accompany this are also well done -- and feel more like a core part of the meal rather than an afterthought. The grilled pork is pretty good as well, though I kind of wish it wasn't sliced as thin, as certain pieces felt a bit dry. The spam musubi with a light touch of furikake also provided a flavorful, fun dish to accompany the other delicious items I tried. Overall, delicious and consistently surprises me with the quality of the execution and bold flavor combinations. This is on my top places to visit in the area and has never disappointed.

Best wishes for great success to the new owner of this business…read more There are many aspects to this business. All of them seem to indicate an establishment worthy of our patronage. There is an additional special element that is important. This business characterizes itself as "kosher". To some people that is irrelevant but for others it is primary. The previous owner had an attitude that was very antagonistic towards the national and international kosher certification entities. For a lack of more or better information, it seemed like there was something "ideological" that took preference over business and community interests. All of us know that there are many choices for excellent restaurants in our area. That is in general. It is not true for Jews strictly observing the dietary rules. The non-Kosher observers, Jews and Non-Jews, were happy to learn Shaevitz UPtown Bbq was sold to a young and ambitious individual with a good Jewish education. North Shore was going to have a place where everyone observing the dietary law could feel comfortable. For non-Kosher observant, it was going to be a place to entertain kosher friends, business associate and family. At this time the established has a kosher certification from an induvial but, not from any of the many known kosher certification organizations. It sadly prevents many people from patronizing this business. This is an opinion. It is intended to be helpful for customers and for the owners. It is not intended to imply anything negative about the individuals or to question his character or intentions. Summary - It is simply easier and more functional for people that are Kosher observant, no matter where they are from, to enter an establishment with confidence that the word Kosher is applied in a context validated by a known entity. I hope that certification is on the way, and we can enjoy the excellent food that has been noted in many other reviews.

These ribs are easily ranked among the top ribs I've ever eaten. They have a beautiful dry rub, and are so juicy and tender, you don't need any sauce. The smoke line is perfect. I usually prefer my ribs with a sauce, but these honestly don't need a drop. The staff is warm and friendly, and there's a tremendous sense of pride they put into their food.
