Warning: never ever use these guys to move your stuff. It should be called "Cluster."They messed up left and right. First was the pick-up. After two hours of loading their truck, the guy tells me, "we should be done in about 30 minutes." They ended up being there an additional 3 hours, which made it way more expensive and I was led to believe (also forcing me to arrive late to pick up my daughter from school). Okay, so I book a return for today and they don't show up. Instead, they go to my old place expecting to do a move from my old place to my new house. Apparently they booked it as a "move" rather than a "return" of my items, and fault me for booking it wrong. Customer service was not particularly helpful. Pissed off. read more

OK these guys are great! They are professional, polite, helpful & caring. They care about their work, they do everything thoroughly and I'm really happy with the service! I think this is one of the greatest ideas ever known to modern man, for my husband and I not to have to load all the stuff ourselves and rent a truck and drive it somewhere and unload it again- it was worth every penny. I was also able to downsize to a smaller space which saved me quite a bit of money and it's very very reasonable on a monthly basis I don't think you can find anything for the same price anywhere. After realizing that moving was really hard to manage along with starting a new job, I found out an Clutter and saw great reviews. While I was at work the movers packed all our stuff while my boyfriend managed. He said they provided lots of packing supplies including boxes. Packed things nicely, and moved the stuff to our new place in a timely manner. It was crazy how quick they worked but took things delicately. Worst company! I booked our move 5 days in advance they confirmed my move 48 hours in advance and took $100 deposit out of my account after the confirmation. They were suppose to be at my house between 7am and 9am today. I pulled as much of our belongings onto the porch as possible to make the move easier and brought all our beds and box springs into the living room. I got a call at 7:45am that there was a scheduling error and they would have to move us to another day. Obviously I got my money back and will never use this company again. THEY LOST MY STUFF THEN DENIED ME MY REFERRAL DISCOUNT. The worst experience I've had. First off, I went to use my friend's coupon code. My friend sent me his coupon code in the generic text message that Clutter prefabricates. I called and applied the coupon, and all seemed well. I was excited! When the team of two people comes to my apartment, they say they cannot take any of my belongings. Their truck was full already and asked me "what I wanted to prioritize." I was literally flying out the next day at 9am, so I responded everything. HOW is management (I do not blame the two team members at this point) so incompetent that they book two deliveries AFTER scheduling two pickups (I was the second pick up). Time passes, they get another truck and pack everything. I should mention one of the new people literally let go of a box and it slammed on the concrete floor--of course it was my dishes. I was assured that while my belongings were split between two trucks, it would all be logged and stored in the same space. But like, when I went to request delivery of my bed, it wasn't in my account????? Nor was at least one other box???? I called about this and they still have not gotten back to me yet. I also asked about the coupon code which was not applied when I was charged. Apparently, the code never existed???? If you are ever on hold, you will hear the message say "Just have them mention your name, and you will both get $100 off." Well, when I tried to ask if they could just look up my friends name, they said flat out no. Do not use Clutter. After storing our entire house for 9 months we made extenasive plans to have our furniture returned to ounewly remodeled house. Once again they canceled while we were waiting for our furniture return on Aug 2-3, 2019. We had been in a rental and got out of it to move home. They had terrible reasons why they couldn't bring out stored furniture back. They stated they couldn't get up the driveway but they sure picked it up just fine. This was actually the 3 th cancellation from them. They refused to bring my daughters furniture back as well. We scheduled a big party with 150 people for Aug 9. They sent us a email, because they can't pick up the phone, telling us we were " shit out of luck!!!! They can bring it back Aug 10 -11. Our party is Aug 9. This is an update to my initial review. I had had some serious problems with being charged much more than I was quoted by phone during the hiring process. I received a Customer Service call today to apologize for the troubles I encountered. I also received a reasonable refund. The company is a fairly new one, and at the time things were not under control which they are now. As mentioned in my earlier review the worker bees were terrific, extremely polite and efficient. I hired Clutter to store my home furniture for a few months while I was traveling and between permanent residences. The packing was a bit of overkill with shrink wrap, bubble wrap and boxing of every little thing. I appreciated that they were taking good care of my items, but felt like it was unnecessarily extending the time (charge by the hours). Upon moving back in, I was told that their policy was to not dispose of any of the packing materials that were used. I ended up with a whole truckload of bubble wrap, tape and boxes. Despite their cautiousness, many of my boxes were crushed and mutilated upon delivery and several glass items were broken inside. The more frustrating point is that they broke the legs off my couch while moving out and could not replace them when moving back in. The movers told me the legs were useless and to file a claim. The claims department claimed that the legs could be re-attached even though their own people disagreed and could not re-attach. Now I have a useless couch and have to go spend more than the move-out, move-in and 2 months of storage combined just to get a couch that I can sit on. Completely frustrating experience. Clutter movers USED TO BE RELIABLE! I have used them in the past, both moving and storage. Unfortunately their current service has deteriorated. Very confusing. First, they rescheduled my move with just about 2 days warning, I accepted it because unexpected things do happen. I got rescheduled for another week which I had to pay my apartment daily now for my extended stay. Had my Zoom meet with their representative so I could virtually show her the stuff to be moved. So it was all set. 48 hours before the move, Clutter charged my credit card the deposit for the scheduled move. I was feeling secure this move is going to happen. Then a couple of hours later, Clutter called and informed me I have to be rescheduled again for 2 more weeks!!! A "personnel problem in the Northwest Region"! CLUTTER Management TOTALLY SUCKS! I booked a curb side pick-up about two weeks ahead of the scheduled date. They called me at the very last minute (the day before the scheduled pick-up date) and told me there's no space available anymore. I'm shocked at what kind of business this is. I am having a hard time scheduling the return of my items from Clutter.com - this is for a very small storage unit 4x4 that fits in an SUV. So I moved (as I assume many customers are in that process) out of their service area, and so the only options to remove items are: 1. Wait from 8am-4pm at a location where they deliver about an hour away from my home. 2. Hire a moving company (they don't let you pick up from them directly at all. Pick-ups are only M-F 8-5 pm and if you hire a moving company the window is even less Monday to Thursday. It's not very customer-friendly to schedule pickup, and its an incredibly stressful experience. I explained to them that I moved outside the service area and live about an hour away from where they deliver and asked them to shorten the window at least so I am not waiting like from 8am-4pm in a parking lot. They told me that is the only option or I need to hire a 3rd party moving company. So most moving companies will not take such a small job as this for a 4x4 unit, and will probably be greater than the cost of the items to hire a mover. I am still awaiting a resultion to this problem, but its been about 3 emails back and forth and they won't escalate the matter to another person on the team to see if they can resolve a different way. It's incredibly frustrating, and after recommending them (Their moving crew is what warranted the positive review, and still I stick by that as they were a pleasure to deal with), yet now I am actually here doing the opposite as it's incredibly stressful to schedule the return and warning people that if you move outside their service area this what they propose, and honestly I wish I had never used them in the first place as this was never communicated on the webpage - it says they will work with you, but this is a terrible solution. If you are going to move outside the service area, I would not recommend using clutter. I honestly dislike companies that don't make exceptions to policies when the results of them have really unreasonable demands on customers. I still don't have my items scheduled for return at this time. This policy: 1. wastes customer time 2. makes it impossible to deal with getting your items. You can coordinate better windows if you organize the times, and not make unreasonable demands on customers. Clutter ruined several items due to inconsistent and shoddy packing. Some fragile items were packed with bubble wrap and others wrapped with paper. They broke an antique table and chair, a coffee table and end table, as well as our TV, a cabinet, several dishes and glasses and a framed $200 picture. They offered us $350 for the claim, when the coffee table alone is worth that amount. They pay $1 per pound, probably so they can ruin people's goods and pay pennies on the dollar. They have a bunch of young guys working for them and they only care about getting the job done, not protecting our valuables. The guys were very nice, but nice won't replace my property. This is a horrible company and they are so reasonably priced because you get what you pay for. We have learned our lesson, I would never recommend them and if you want to keep your valuables, I suggest you stay away from them. If I could give zero stars I WOULD, because now I have to pay for my items that were destroyed by CLUTTER!! read more

If something changes, I will alter my review but otherwise it will stand. I have been a customer of Clutter since August 2019 when I was referred by a trusted friend. I have 200+ items in storage and have been putting more in and calling existing back out without problems since then. I have referred additional customers to them as well. We're in the final phases of packing up our home to move out of state and I went yesterday to call the entire order back. I was shown a date of December 7th on their website just to get 50 boxes of the 200 that are currently there. I called them to find out what could be done because I need to move out of state and had movers set up for the 5th. Their date wasn't going to work. I was told that what I saw online is precisely what they see in customer service and then I was read a script about being transparent; there would likely be no way to get a delivery earlier than the 7th. And then it got worse... I now have 3 appointments: 2 with 50 boxes and a final with the remainder. With $65 per mover per hour labor charges to be applied. YAY After nearly 30 minutes total of talking, escalating to yelling on my part (not my finest moment) and offering to at my own expense send a moving truck with 2-3 guys that would bring everything back in time to meet our moving timeline I was summarily read another script: our policy is that no customer can be on the premises at any time. Great. So a "reasonable" amount of time for a delivery is apparently a month. Clutter was represented to me as a great alternative to regular storage places BUT I can get my stuff out of those at any time. With Clutter, I pay just about the same price and now my items are being held hostage and I'm basically being told to sit down and shut up, that this is their policy and that they will not change a damn thing. I'm not happy. I now have to reschedule everything and will incur thousands of dollars of hotel charges on our destination end because our items will not even be ready to put onto a moving van until 2 weeks after we are supposed to be out of here. I will have to hire someone to manage the removal of the rest of our belongings from the house by the moving company. while I get my disabled, bed-bound husband at least to the new home with rental hospital bed and other necessaries like oxygen and hepa filtration. I will be sleeping on the floor on an air mattress and paying for two homes' upkeep. My home here cannot be on the market while it is in disarray like it is and now I can't move this stuff out because the Clutter stuff won't be ready. For weeks. Unacceptable. Take your chances if you want. If you're doing straightforward storage and don't have a move involved, maybe you'll be fine. Maybe you won't. I wouldn't recommend these people to my worst enemy at this point. I really don't care about their policy. I have paid my bill automatically and on time every month. I have referred friends to Clutter. I have found their moving staff to be very good and care has been taken with my belongings at least on the way out of my home. But for them to now hold my items and keep me from moving and costing me a ton of money including additional storage time at their facility -- well, that's just not acceptable in any way, shape or form. I will be getting in touch with the BBB & consumer reporting arms of local television stations around the Seattle area and I will expose these unacceptable practices for what they are really: extortion of my hard earned money, piling on of stress at a time when nobody needs it -- during a long distance move, and a callous disregard for the situations of their clients. Perhaps owner Ari Mir would like to respond to my review and discuss why it's OK for his company to hold my household goods hostage when I've offered a perfectly viable solution to the problem. I could have everything out of the Clutter facility within 2 hours using 2-3 guys and a rental box truck. But you won't allow it and instead insist on making my life a stressful ball of re-work and back-pedaling with all of the moving arrangements I've made -- all while I'm the sole caregiver for my bed-bound/wheelchair bound spouse. Perhaps you'd like to pay for my hotel bills on the destination end, or maybe the rental medical equipment that we'd need to avoid hotel charges while being forceably prohibited from moving the household belongings due to Clutter's policies. I'm sure I won't hear a word that isn't scripted from anyone at Clutter as I'm certain I'm now viewed as a problem and no one probably wants to be the lucky one to try to talk to me. To all Clutter employees and Ari: try putting yourself in your customers' shoes. How would you like to be denied access to your own belongings for a month when you've held up your end of the bargain and many thousands of dollars and the comfort or distress of your disabled loved one hang in the balance? Wally gave me a quote over the phone and told me everything I needed to know. I called Friday and they arrived by the next day in the am! They send you texts to let you know arrival. Troy and Aaron arrived and were friendly and professional. They got right down to business and efficiently and thoroughly packed our belongings. Excellent service. My girlfriend found this company after we found out that there would be a two week delay on moving into our next apartment. The clutter representative was informative and professional and provided an accurate quote. We signed on. When it was time to move, they (Troy and Sean I believe) got straight to work. First the pickup: Good strong crew. However, I had everything packed and boxed for the most part. They should have been able to load everything in less than 4 hours. They spent over 8 hours. Most of that time is taking pictures of everything and affixing labels to all containers. Towards the end, they slowed down dramatically incurring more billable hours. After Pickup: Several items went missing. The online photo catalogue is neat, but when you can't see items you know were there it is a problem. Plus the crew left behind several items they forgot to pack so had to come back. They spent weeks trying to find 4 missing items and found 2 of them had been packed in their own boxes without pictures. 2 weeks later they could still not find the other two items. I will have to wait to unpack everything to determine if things are missing. Not a good feeling. Particularly when one of the items the mover specifically asked if I wanted those as he was in the market for the exact same thing and couldn't find them elsewhere. Delivery: Wanted to schedule one box to be returned. They advertise "as low as $9". When I went through the motions to order the return, the price came up as $84/hour with a 1 hour minimum! Ibooked the largest storage space for my 2 bedroom apt just to be on the safe side, when the called the sales rep thought it was too big and down sized. When they showed up they send a small truck that couldnt fit my stuff. The first crew only moved some of the large furniture and packed half of my sons room, 2 days later when the second crew was scheduled they bumped my morning apt to the afternoon the did not have time to pack my stuff again. Note I PACKED 95% of my own stuff, so again they had to send another tream,, even after their own crew talked to the dispatcher regarding my stuff , I had a back feeling took time off work and packed up the rest of the apt , again when the THIRD crew came , all they had to do was load the truck and still did not complete the job. Remember, ITS ONLY A 2 BEDROOM APT!!!! I'm not a hoarder or anything and after three attempts still couldnt finish the job, I had to load the remaining items and store it in a friends garage. When I called to have them deliver the items to the address I originally gave them when I set it up, I was told that the address was out of their delivery range!!! The customer service dept basically took no responsibility for any of the issues, I had to arrange a truck to truck transfer, so now I have to rent another truck and movers for delivery which was 10 miles away. Seriously??? FINALLY got my stuff then looked at my bank account since they could not deliver by the first of the month but the 3rd, they charged me for an additional month of storage. Moving furniture sucks. Typically though it involves living somewhere new, which is at least excited/a good spot to move said furniture too. That was not the case for me. My building was being renovated and I couldn't afford to take anytime off work to handle it. Luckily, Clutter exists. They were quick and great care of my things while I hammed it up in a hotel. It was extremely convenient to have the company back and store my stuff. The pick up and return were easy to facilitate and the movers were chill dudes. Have and will continue to recommend to others. I loved the guys who came and did the work at my house. Eric, Robert, Jacoby and Carden were helpful, informative, professional and friendly. They did the work I asked for quickly and competently. My experience with the administrative side of this company was not at all the same. Everything is booked online, so when I thought I was getting a quote, I actually booked an appointment. Aside from a Covid waiver, I got no confirmation in form of email or phone call, so the workers showed up to an empty house. Luckily, I was able to meet them later to begin the work I was only looking for a quote on. Later in the day, someone from the office called me to recommend a second day of work that I agreed to at first. An hour later, when I changed my mind, I was informed that I would be charged a $100 cancellation fee since I was giving less than 48 hours notice. I was able to get the fee waived by raising a fuss about it, but was informed that it was a "one time only" favor to waive that fee. This is after being put in a "brief" hold several times. All together, I waited on hold for around 40 minutes. Very dissatisfied with the administrative side of the business, but the movers are gems! read more

Using Clutter turned my move into a stress riddled, astronomically expensive nightmare of a day that had me in tears by the time they left. The website told me I would have a professional team that would help pack and move my things. So easy, so great right? No! This is not what I got. I had things 85% packed and labeled. It would have taken professional mover at most 3-4 hours to get the job done with two mover, I know because I asked some movers that help me with other moves. With Clutter, I had three "professional" people (one was obviously a trainee) take 9 hours to move my things. They took so long that my Apartment manager started calling me and complaining about the Clutter truck occupying the loading dock. 9 hour!! I was horrified to see these people stuff my glass swivel top dining table into an ill fitting box that was bulging in every direction. As soon as they left my card was charged. No invoice for authorization, just charged! I was unable to get hold of anyone until the next day and after speaking with someone who agreed that there were a few things on their end that contributed to the excessive time it took I was offered $25 off my next months rent. I don't recommend this storage. I requested two returns before, the first one was three hours late and the second was an hour late. The most unreasonable thing is that even if they were three hours late and I was not able to wait anymore, they didn't cancel the returns unless I pay a $100 cancel fee... If you request a return, I recommend to vacate the whole day for them. They didn't even tell me that the mover would be late until I asked them. The movers I met were unprofessional. The website says that I don't need to do any moving regarding the safety of the customer. However, in order to save time (or labor), the mover asked me to carry wooden panels and mattress for them. I'm also uncomfortable with the charges. When I requested the final return, I was charged $145, I called the customer service and they told me it was the precharge of the final return. Then after the return, I was charged $83. The total was $33 more than the return fee. I emailed the company twice and they told me they had already COMPLETED a return for me. Then I emailed them the third time because the return didn't show on my account at all. This time they told me they were not able to return any money for me. So why did you guys told me twice you had made a return for me?? Then they explained that the $83 charge is a monthly charge of storage. However, I clearly said that I would only request 4-month storage when I called for the storage four month ago. So my account should have been closed after the 4-month period. But they charged me the fifth month without asking me if I need a auto renew or not. Why did you guys renew my storage after I requested a FINAL return... Some tips: 1. Keep in mind that the final return is mandatory three hours minimum per mover($195/person)even if the task doesn't need that much time. So if you don't have much stuff, or the value of the stuff is comparable to the storage and the return fee, I recommend you to buy a new one directly. 2. Remember to request your final return as early as possible or they might auto renew your storage that you don't need. 3. If your stuff can be safely moved by one person and a cart in three hours, remember to call and request only ONE mover so that you can save $195 for the final return. 4. Do not help the mover carry anything if you don't want, even if they ask for. You paid for the service that promises that the the movers will move everything for you. 5. The customer care email is an inefficient one way address. If you have some complex problems that cannot be addressed in a single email, I recommend you to call them directly because the person who reply your emails might be different persons. read more

The concept behind clutter.com is great. The execution is a disaster. My reservation clearly stated that four movers would be handling the packing & move, but they only sent two guys. These guys were nice, but worked incredibly slow. Clutter made a second reservation for the next day, just in case they needed a bit more time to finish up. Since they had only packed and moved one bedroom and an office in 7 hours, I was worried about getting the move done in time. I was relieved to see that they sent four movers on the second day, but two left after their lunch break. Which reminds me - both days they made a point of letting me know they would be taking a 30 minute lunch break and that I would not be paying for that time. BUT, both days they were gone for over an hour. Fine, I understand it's physically taxing work and they need time to eat and recharge. But there has been no clarity as to if I was charged for the additional time they took. They were incredibly slow the second day as well, so much so that they sent a supervisor to manage and assist with the move. After 12 hours, they just quit. They left A LOT of stuff behind and I had to scramble to find a way to get it out of the house and into a self-storage unit. The absolute worst moving experience I've ever had, and I've moved at least a dozen times. I would highly discourage anyone from hiring this company. The customer service has also been a nightmare. I'm still waiting for a call from management two weeks after I was told I would receive one. read more

They've destroyed thousands of dollars of furniture and left our bed in an unusable condition. While they admit fault for all the damage, they refuse to repair the bed and are offering only a fraction of the value of the damaged items back as compensation. They obviously weren't careful with our belongings. Please don't risk using them for anything you want to keep in good condition. read more

I left a review of the Clutter moving company about 12 days ago. I was not, and anyway, happy with the experience I had with clutter. I did call them and try and get things settled to no avail. But I have to give credit where credit is due. They read the review on Yelp and the company public relations person called me back. He wanted me to go over exactly what happened and what I felt went wrong. I did not hold back in my review of what happened with him. After telling him more in depth that I had to shoulder surgeries and that I had the boxes left out on the breezeway he was very apologetic and really seemed sincere. Since then I have got 500 of the seven back. I do thank the company for calling me back and doing all the things they could do to make it right. I hope this never happens to another client. Fair is fair. They could have ignored me but I am happy that they didn't. For me the resolution was good. read more

I was impressed with the pricing and the fact that they brought all the supplies I needed, packed everything, loaded it, and they'll drop it off too. I just wish they could deliver it same day which is the only reason I give it 4 stars. But that gives me a chance to assess my new place and get things situated with the new roommate first. I just had friends help move my bed, most of my clothes, and food for now to the new place. read more

Our moving out experience wasn't the greatest, but it completely made it for it with the team of guys that moved us in. They were so helpful and extremely polite, they hammered out our entire house in 3 hours! read more

I had interesting experience with Clutter. The first time I used them I was not very happy as their 3 hour window moved to 9 hours. However, when the second team came out, they were personable, professional and helpful. They helped assemble furniture, and made sure the job was done right. Don't use Clutter! They lost SO many of our boxes... even ones they held for ONLY 4 days. They lost so many items our family can't replace from furniture to large wardrobe boxes and expensive glass art. In addition to the nonchalant way they are handling this, they have no answers as to how or where many large boxes of ours could be and gave up looking for them. Their maximum protection is a joke if they are going to lose so many of your items. We lost money using them so hopefully this warns others. Don't trust them with your stuff, we never would again. read more
