Tried this place out and was pleasantly surprised. I had the grilled hot chicken sandwich and my son had the original hot chicken sandwich. Both were delicious. Son also had the waffles and vanilla shake. Waffles were light, tasty and fluffy. Only thing I would criticize is the grilled chicken was very thin not much meat. This chicken spot is good. I've heard that people don't really like their fried or bread . I came for Chicken not bread or sauce. And I was not disappointed. This chickens flavor is really good and has a hint of sweetness like brown sugar ? I've never been inside so I don't know what that's like. The drive thru does take some time but nothing to get upset over. I've had Dave's hot chicken and although their spiciest is hotter than Clyde's, Clyde's hottest spice has better flavor (while still holding a nice kick) Dave's still tasted like chicken (gamey) while Clyde's was all flavor and seasoning. I read amazing reviews and saw that the owners also stated that everything is made fresh so be ready to wait which I had no problem doing. I went back inside and apologized after requesting fresh fries so that I can have a good experience here... after I was responded with extreme attitude... I've been here twice, and both times, I was amazed with the quality of the chicken. The first time I was here, I was in the drive through line and it was a bit of a wait but worth the food. They offer a selection of x brewery ipas/beer and you can enjoy A cold one with your chicken. I know it's been a tough year but the chicken was really over cooked to the point of being stringy and flavorless. Like no seasoning at all. The coleslaw was stale and limp. One of my favorite spots to go to for hot chicken sandwiches! FYI you have to eat the chicken fresh or it won't taste good. It tastes heavenly when you eat the food right after you get it. But if you to-go and bring it home, it's not the same at all. We got two chicken sandwiches, crinkle cut fries, chicken tenders and sweet tea. If you like spicy then I recommend to get the hot as cluck spice level (its not super spicy). That level tastes the best to me, it's most flavorful. Love the seasoning they use for their chicken sandwiches and tenders here, it's really good, and so is the dipping sauce. It said my order would be ready 1:07, its 1:15 and still not ready. Their chicken sandwich is sooo good, I would even say better than most! BUT...every time we come here, the fries are basically raw. Almost completely paper white. The palest fries ever. But the kicker for me was last night. Get ready for a disappointing experance. I can only explain this to be a soggy chicken with seasoning shaken on bland chicken. It is all the same chicken strips untill someone shakes hot or hotter seasoning onto your food . The chicken strips come with a sauce that I could not pinpoint the flavors it was not ranch or mayo and was again just offsetting to the some lightly and heavy seasoned chicken spice that came from a shaker making the chicken extreamy spicy hot in some places and bland in others .. It was strange to have a slice of chewy bread served under the strips that was never going to be eatabul because it was just so dry .. if I can say one good thing it was that the french fries were good and other then catsup there was nothing to eat them with . I just started my quest for Hot Chicken sandwiches and the one from Clyde's was delicious. I got the original sandwich combo which came with the sandwich and choice of side which was Cole slaw in my case with some lemonade to wash it all down, The sandwich had a perfect crunch and just the right amount of heat for my liking, and the mix of Cole slaw topped on the chicken was perfection. The house pickles added a nice tang and crunch to round out the entire bite. I inhaled the sandwich in under 5 minutes and was stuffed. The lemonade had that perfect tartness and a good balance of sweetness. Just to test my tastebuds I'll get the 1930 heat level next time which is listed as their hottest. Really wanted to love this place but honestly, it was just alright. My husband and I went through the drive through and ordered two sandwich combos (one with a waffle and the other with macaroni) as well as an order of wings. I got hot as cluck and my husband got naked as he can not tolerate heat at all. The food was not spicy at all. I begged him to try my "hot as cluck" wings and he was able to tolerate them without any issues. He even said he thought I got the wrong order because he was able to eat them whereas this dude can't even tolerate mild sauce at Taco Bell ‍. This place is horrible. Went to drive tru and ordered 1 item, there was only 1 customer already waiting in drive thru and only 1 customer eating inside. We waited over 15, and it didn't look like they ordered much. We pull up to the window and almost 10 minutes go by and no one is asking me for a payment or anything. We ended up just driving off and not getting our food. How does it take them over 25 min when they have barely 2 customers? Thought I would try it out but apparently there struggling to serve the very few customers they have there, what a joke read more

I have been to Nashville and had some great Hot chicken there. So I was really excited to try this place out for a while now. But the lines seem to move very slow specially in the drive through every time I was in the area. Not big on waiting in long lines for something if I'm not sure if I will even like it. By this time I still have not known anyone that has tried this place out. We ordered a little bit of everything, the food did take a while but I guess it is cooked to order on the wings, guess that's a good thing. The staff was helpful and friendly. The food was good but nothing screaming out amazing. The hot was good but not overly hot. The dry rub 1930 had a great hot kick to it. If they could make the hot as good as the dry rub, ya buddy! My son wanted me to try this chicken sandwich place near his work so we gave it a go today. It was A-Okay. We ordered a Clyde's orginal, some strips at 1930 level, mac salad, and fries. The sandwich was decent, not great, I like Popey's better, and it wasn't even in the same ballpark as my favorite SoCal chicken sandwich from Howling Ray's. Mac salad was a little dry though the flavor was good. Fries were seaoned nicely. The strips had some heat on them, nothing requiring milk, but a nice level of heat.
