I went in to ask for the sauce and was told it was no longer being provided. I asked when that was and why I was asked for my heat level, and was given a sauce container as an exception. The lid was not on securely and most of it spilled on my car interior. Then come to find the cole saw, which was my side, had no dressing. And the sauce was not the level of heat I had ordered. Son also had the waffles and vanilla shake. Waffles were light, tasty and fluffy. Only thing I would criticize is the grilled chicken was very thin not much meat. I read amazing reviews and saw that the owners also stated that everything is made fresh so be ready to wait which I had no problem doing. I went inside prepared to wait at least 30 minutes, my food took about 20 and when I left and got to my car ... my fries were literally COLD... I went back inside and apologized after requesting fresh fries so that I can have a good experience here... after I was responded with extreme attitude... Had the Clyde's Original Chicken sandwich. Was really tasty but I'd probably go up on the heat level to the next one up from original. Staff was friendly but we almost drove by the place. They have a black sign against a black wall and we couldn't read it at all. By the time we were done with our dinner, it was dark outside but the sign still wasn't lighted. Dear Clydes what happened? I returned last week to get my favorite chicken sandwich and coleslaw. I was really disappointed. I know it's been a tough year but the chicken was really over cooked to the point of being stringy and flavorless. Like no seasoning at all. The coleslaw was stale and limp. I'll pay for a good sandwich. But honey your prices now? Wow! I was really bummed out! You don't know how much I thought about your chicken sandwich. But if you to-go and bring it home, it's not the same at all. We got two chicken sandwiches, crinkle cut fries, chicken tenders and sweet tea. If you like spicy then I recommend to get the hot as cluck spice level (its not super spicy). That level tastes the best to me, it's most flavorful. Love the seasoning they use for their chicken sandwiches and tenders here, it's really good, and so is the dipping sauce. It said my order would be ready 1:07, its 1:15 and still not ready. Get ready for a disappointing experance. I can only explain this to be a soggy chicken with seasoning shaken on bland chicken. But the kicker for me was last night. I got the original sandwich combo which came with the sandwich and choice of side which was Cole slaw in my case with some lemonade to wash it all down, The sandwich had a perfect crunch and just the right amount of heat for my liking, and the mix of Cole slaw topped on the chicken was perfection. The house pickles added a nice tang and crunch to round out the entire bite. I inhaled the sandwich in under 5 minutes and was stuffed. The lemonade had that perfect tartness and a good balance of sweetness. Just to test my tastebuds I'll get the 1930 heat level next time which is listed as their hottest. Really wanted to love this place but honestly, it was just alright. My husband and I went through the drive through and ordered two sandwich combos (one with a waffle and the other with macaroni) as well as an order of wings. I got hot as cluck and my husband got naked as he can not tolerate heat at all. The food was not spicy at all. I begged him to try my "hot as cluck" wings and he was able to tolerate them without any issues. He even said he thought I got the wrong order because he was able to eat them whereas this dude can't even tolerate mild sauce at Taco Bell ‍. I have been to Nashville and had some great Hot chicken there. So I was really excited to try this place out for a while now. But the lines seem to move very slow specially in the drive through every time I was in the area. Not big on waiting in long lines for something if I'm not sure if I will even like it. By this time I still have not known anyone that has tried this place out. We recently had a birthday party for my 10 year son 9/24 and we used Clydes to Cater our event. Enjoying the food in the past is one thing but having an Amazing experience with their Catering service is a 10Star!!!! I have to say it was super easy , the food held its quality and packaging was nice and Clean. All of guests loved it and enjoyed the Chicken Strips, Fries, Mac Salad and condiments.
