I had a very bad experience. I ordered a whole chicken. When the girl told me the price it was for a 1/2 chicken. She corrected this and informed me it would be about 10 mins. One minute later an order appeared I didn't think it was mine. The girl I placed the order with was not to be found. Another employee told me this was my order. We enjoyed our dinner here. The portion is quite big. Ordered 2 plates of wings and curly fries side for 3 people, and still left with a few wings after we were all full. The tikkudak is flavorful, it has the distinct "burnt/ grill" smell from the charcoal baking. How have I not been to this place before now? My husband and I stopped by for lunch last weekend. I hadn't been feeling well and didn't have much of an appetite but we we t ahead and ordered fries, an order of the Garlic Soy Wings and an order of the Lemon Spring Onion Wings. They were so good. The chicken was so amazingly crispy and perfectly fried and the sauces were like nothing I had ever eaten before. Both were amazing but the Garlic Soy was my favorite. I am a big whimp when it comes to spice but this was delicious. It definitely had a little heat that built to a nice level but never became overpowering. I got the snow onion drums for pickup since I had some extra Uber Eats credit from my American Express card and decided to use it to try this place out. Big juicy pieces of chicken. They gave a generous portion of snow onion sauce and onions, each in their own container to ensure the chicken stays crispy. I decided to try the chicken without dipping it in the sauce first. Thank heavens for CM Chicken finally opening in Columbus! I went during soft opening and it was sooo full, i was thinking i can never eat at the store.. but i recommend it. It also helps when you go hungry. A group of six went and we ordered a whole Snow Onion Chicken, half of the spicy garlic and half of the soy garlic. We also asked for a lot of the cubed white radishes as it complements the chicken if the sauce can get kind of too much. (Like an American version of celery and ranch) i ordered curly fries last time i ordered to go and it was delicious so i got it again. My friend ordered extra sauce for the snow onion chicken which i thought was interesting since i didnt think of doing that but it was such a smart move. They will give you another plate with just whole bunch if sliced onion and the snow sauce. The chicken that was on the bottom of the pile doesnt get much sauce and the onion disappear so fast but with the extra sauce you have plenty!!!! The spicy garlic was tasty too but spicy for me lol i had a lot of cubed radishes to help balance out the spiciness. In Korea, people get half of the plain fried chicken and half of the spicy garlic chicken and call it BanBan (half and half). Its the safest bet if you dont want to explore new flavors. Their menu is mostly fried chicken but they have a great variety of sauces and styles. You can get most dishes either as tenders, wings, or even a half/whole chicken. The portions are massive. Never having had the snow onion before, that's a very interesting flavor. The hot sauce is unique and perfectly hot. The garlic soy was my favorite and would absolutely get it - and the huge box of curly fries - again! It had great slightly sweet-spicy flavor that is my jam. The pieces of chicken were huge and crispy, even having driven it home. The curly fries got a little cold/limp on the drive home but the taste is so good! Love it. So glad to have KFC in Columbus again. Despite all the bad reviews Ive heard I enjoyed this spot. They had 1 cashier. 1 server and maybe 2 cooks. The entire dining room was packed. Plus they were doing call in and take out orders. Only 1 server for about 35 people. Her hustle was crazy. I enjoyed the food. It's pricey but worth it. This is the only KFC place in town. I will be back when they have the full menu. Currently only about half the menu is in stock. If you decide to go, I recommend dining in. That's when it tastes best. I've tried CM Chicken in other cities and was so excited to hear they were opening in Columbus. Out of all the KFCs I've tried, and I've tried them all (e.g. BonChon, bb.q Chicken, Pelicana, etc.), CM is by far my favorite. I tried going there for dinner on a Tuesday night and they were packed with the wait time being over an hour so went there on a Wednesday afternoon thinking it would be easier to get seated. Shockingly, they were equally busy, and every table was packed, but I decided to wait and so glad I did. Since it's still a soft opening, they didn't have everything on the menu. I got the snow onion chicken and the garlic soy and OMG, thought I had died and gone to heaven. Each bite was packed with flavor and so crispy! Mmmm...I am getting hungry just thinking of it as I'm writing this review. The phone was ringing nonstop the entire time I was there. Every time they put it down, it immediately rang again. It was this way the whole time I was there - crazy. Like I said, it was packed on a Wednesday afternoon at 3pm. I really was excited for this place. We don't live on that end of town so when I had the chance to try it I was stoked. The sauces we've tried are solid, and the fried then grilled chicken is super crispy and flavorful. Sadly they're clearly either having major supply issues causing them to make questionable choices or their pricing is just completely out of line with what they are offering. We've gone twice, because in really wanted to see if the first time was a fluke. Sadly it wasn't. The first time we got wings. As I said they tasted pretty good, but they were some of the smallest and saddest wings I've ever seen. Many were more like winglets. It appeared they had lined up wings on a cutting board and taken a cleaver to them to turn one wing into multiple. At nearly $2 per wing they should at least be normal size if not big and meaty--not pieces of wings. The second time we got a half chicken. Same story-- the only clearly recognizable piece of the chicken was the drumstick and it was barely larger than a wing drumette you'd get at other places. The rest of the pieces had been hacked up into chunks before breading. This made for sharp boney edges and difficult to eat pieces of chicken. The prices ranging from $16-24 for chicken alone would be fine if they came with portions to match the price or even just a side with the current underwhelming portions, but even when considering the price when splitting the meal it felt like a rip off. There is a recipe for a great place here. Early reviews seem to indicate our two experiences aren't what they set out to do, but they definitely need to adapt to the supply constraints better. read more

I am so excited that an authentic Korean fried chicken brand just opened in Columbus. Currently they are still in the soft opening phase, so they only offer a limited items from the menu (snow onion and original flavors in half or full orders). The store was very busy so the service was a little slow. We ordered fried calamari and four different flavors of fried chicken. I don't suggest to order the calamari. They gave you so little for the price they charged, and the calamari didn't have much seasoning so it tasted very plain. However, the fried chicken was delicious! It was crispy outside, and the meat was juicy~ out of four flavors, snow onion one was my favorite. I really liked the snow sauce with some very thin sliced raw onion pieces to add a little refreshing flavor. I wish the garlic soy one had more garlic flavor instead of sweet soy because it tasted a little light. But overall the fried chicken was pretty good, and I can't wait to try more flavors once they officially open next month! read more

PHENOMENAL FOOD. We LOVED all our meals - garlic soy drumsticks, curry tenders, and the Red Pepper Snow - all were pretty much everything you could hope for from fried chicken. My chicken was very juicy and tender on the inside, crispy and tons of flavor in the breading on the outside. The fries that came with my son's meal were also legit awesome. We will 100% be back...and SOON! The atmosphere was very casual, but still a sit down restaurant, I think it would be no problem to bring kids and they have some less spicy options available. On the adult side of things, I also ordered a drink - the text was in Korean, and I don't know the name but the poster also said "Happy Water." I got the grapefruit flavor - it was 13% alcohol in a beer size bottle, which was a lot, but would be great to share or sip on over a longer meal (we came for lunch). If I could find it I think I'd buy that drink instead of seltzers - could barely taste the liquor and had a nice flavor but not overly sugary. If you are looking for Korean style fried chicken, I haven't had better in central Ohio. The default spiciest chicken is a nice escalating heat. By the time you are full, you don't want it any hotter. Plus, there's a bunch of more esoteric food choices that I'm way too basic to try when that delicious fried chicken is right there. If you are looking for a quick in and out. This place is not it. I was a little disappointed that not all the Menu items were available. I wanted the fried gizzards, but not available. The bottom half of the menu they couldn't do which was the grilled version of the chicken. So hopefully they get that up and running. Food is really GOOD here BUT the service is terrible. They don't have enough servers to help everyone. No one checks on you or how your food is once it's brought out. They'll forget sides like the free radish if you don't ask for it. We have been here a few times since they opened. We get way more chicken wings now with a single order. Before they served about half the size. Also they have never ever had rice.. what Asian restaurant doesn't have rice??? and half the menu is blocked off with paper taped on top... hopefully they get their act together because the food is very tasty. read more
