    Firecracker roll

The roll and drink were both very delicious! The only suggestion I would have is some background music for ambiance. I went on a Saturday afternoon, but there were still a few people in there and just having the extra layer would have made it a truly nice atmosphere. But overall, very good quality and i would love to come back to try more!

Was able to get a reservation here on Sunday for 4, which was a nice surprise. I think the kitchen was just getting started for the evening because it took a little bit to get our food, but we did have drinks to enjoy and our server was attentive. I delighted in my hibachi and my partner relished the udon noodles. As we were finishing dinner, our server heard me mention it was my birthday and he so very kindly brought me a cheesecake. Such a wonderful experience, especially because we decided to grab a bite here last minute.

absolutely delicious and fabulous!! we ordered the gyoza, cosmopolitans, and masa ramen and it couldn't have been better. the service was fantastic and the owner came over to ask us about our experience and was super friendly and welcoming. i could not recommend this place more! :)

I've tried eating here twice in the last two weeks and left both times without ever getting food. The first visit, my coworkers and I came for their BOGO sushi. We were seated, ordered drinks, and then were told their freezer had broken the night before and they could only serve soup. Disappointing, but we left understanding. Still, a heads-up before seating would've been appreciated. We decided to try again the following week. Again, seated quickly, drinks came out, and we placed our orders. After 40 minutes, we had no food and barely saw our server. The restaurant wasn't even busy. One of us had to go into the kitchen to get an update, and we were finally told they were severely short-staffed and it would be another 30 minutes. We waited it out, but by 90 minutes, still nothing. Meanwhile, a large party that came after us got their food -- pretty sure they were given our orders. We ended up canceling everything and walking out -- again. Grabbed sushi from Harris Teeter just to eat something. We had planned around this lunch and missed work meetings. Also worth noting: a few of our plates were dirty. I've worked in food service and understand being short-staffed, but the lack of transparency, updates, or basic service is unacceptable. We should've been told the situation up front so we could make a choice. After two failed visits, dirty plates, no food, and a complete waste of time, they honestly owe us money for having to go to Harris Teeter twice for lunch. Won't be back, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Stopped by for a quick bite during happy hour. Pretty empty. Waiter took my order quickly. Did not enjoy the beef and kimchi dumplings. Tuna tataki was okay and salmon carpaccio was so-so. Not pressed to return.

    Yellowtail was perfectly balanced.

Great food, ingredients were fresh, service at the bar was quick and friendly. Very reasonable pricing and happy hour specials to boot. Would definitely dine again.

I wanted to like this place but the food just wasn't for me. The atmosphere was nice. The service was good. But the food was not to my liking. I ordered the Kids pho and omg the broth was terrible. We ordered the Papaya salad with shrimp and that was basically a cabbage salad. What green papaya?! Flavor was good a bit too sweet. It was not spicy at all were not offered to choose a spice level.

Really nice place. Not a huge menu which for me, that's fine. Had the pork and ginger dumplings as an appetizer. They were good. Ordered the Firecracker sushi roll and the Ahi Poke Stack. They were both excellent. Both the server and the hostess were friendly and very helpful. I will definitely go back.

Green papaya salad. More like coleslaw. We couldn't even select a spicy level

Not impressed. We tried the green papaya salad, the Bun Xao, the Tofu buns and the spicy tuna poke bowl. The bowl felt more like a burrito bowl, they had full slices of bell peppers in there. The flavors of the fish and rice were good, but the peppers were overpowering. The papaya salad was a let down. Most papaya salads are loaded with papaya with a little filler. This is basically coleslaw with a hint of papaya. Flavors were OK, but only comes mild, you don't get the select a spice level. I had a black every bourbon fizz cocktail. That was delicious . Sounded like a great cocktail menu, so it's worth a try. The service was not great either.

Always super good ! My favorite Bang Bang Shrimp (32) crab Rangoons !

Always super good love the food and fast service. In middle of north hills, super chill.

My friends and I were staying at the AC Hotel in North Hills and this restaurant is located conveniently downstairs just several steps away from the front door. The ambience is good but the food leaves you wanting more. Our party of 2 ordered: -Shrimp Curry ($12) - overly salty with tiny little frozen shrimp. Would not order again -Pad Thai ($19.50) - overpriced, noodles were good but didn't taste like your typical Thai lunch place. Overly wet and used more of a soy sauce dressing than your typical Pad Thai flavoring - firecracker roll ($16.50) - rice was stale, spicy aioli just tasted like sriracha sauce and overpowered all the other flavors of the roll. -blackberry lychee fizz ($7) - not as carbonated as I would like, tasted pretty flat but it did the job! I appreciated the variety of mocktails to choose from since I was pregnant. In summary, location 10/10, food 6/10, drinks 7/10, ambience 9/10

It photographs beautifully. Unfortunately, restaurants aren't judged on lighting. We ordered everything upfront: Banh Xeo (explicitly no shrimp due to a shellfish allergy), Cha Gio, Pho Tai, and the Chef Special. Somehow, not everything was entered correctly. The Banh Xeo arrived covered in shrimp. Allergy clearly stated. It was sent back immediately. We were told they could remake it, but it would "take a while because it takes a long time to make." Banh Xeo takes under 10 minutes in a properly run kitchen. We declined and assumed the rest of our meal would arrive promptly. It didn't. The egg rolls weren't just fried, they were fully baptized in oil. One bite and it felt like chewing on a sponge that lost a fight with the fryer. Then we watched tables seated at least 15 minutes after us receive their food before we did. When we asked about the remainder of our order, we were told it had "just been added" and would take a while. Pho taking 35+ minutes in a Vietnamese restaurant isn't high volume. It's disorganization. The Chef Special was decent. The pho, which should be the backbone of the menu, was underwhelming. Several tables around us had incorrect orders or long delays. The owner circulated, but instead of urgency or accountability, the energy felt inconvenienced. Here's the reality: great atmosphere can draw people in once. Food and leadership bring them back. If you're going because it looks trendy and buzzing, go in with eyes open. The aesthetic might be the star of the room, but the food should be.

I like Vietnamese food, but the options are limited where I live- and the options for vegetarians are even MORE limited at most Vietnamese spots. This spot is different- they have a whole page of vegan options on the back of the menu. My vegan pho with tofu was wonderful, and I loved the kick from the chili oil. I also liked adding the pho toppings, and they brought us extra bean sprouts since my husband and I both love them. I didn't have anything to drink, but all of the drinks were super reasonably priced. My husband had a beer. The bar has everything you could want to drink as well as mocktails. The portions are large, and when we got to-go containers, the employees even brought us plastic bags to pack each container in, so nothing leaked on our walk home. That was a nice touch and well appreciated. My husband got a bahn mi for later, and it was also packaged well for a to-go item. I however had the combination and bbq chicken Banh mi Sandwiches and the shrimp spring rolls. The spring roll was crispy on the outside but still frozen on the inside. They remade it and the outside tasted like burnt oil and the inside was still cold. The Banh mi Sandwiches were full of super fresh veggies, I loved that! The downside is the combination one had no Mayo so I had to ask for some. The other downside was that the bbq chicken one had no sauce at all and very little chicken. In the back, I did see after ordering a few without their masks on (if that's something you need to take in consideration, then take as needed). They woman that took my order, washed her hands and gave me a menu. She wanted to know if there was anything in particular I was looking for and if I would be dinning in or take out (if you do take-out, they ask that you make your order and then return to your car to await for the food). I explained I just wanted something to go and from there I looked over the menu. When I asked about how some of the items were prepared, she quickly explained and never gave any attitude or anything about my many questions. From my questions, she gathered that I wanted something along the lines of vegetarian and suggested about four different dishes that I might like. Since I wasn't tooooo hungry, I went with the Nem Chay Cuốn Bbq Vegi Spring Rolls (2): Soft rice paper wrapped around bbq Vegi, & lettuce, served with house special sauce. Total: $5.41 What a treat! These were so fresh and tasty! Great mixture of herbs, noodles, and tofu. Nothing was too overwhelming - all just right! The dipping sauce!!?! I could drink it (well, maybe just use it on MORE rolls!). From what I gathered from my visit, it was a good spot for something simple. I do have friend that comes here every time they come to town to order their shrimp fried rice - they state it is amazing.
