My Mom lives in Raleigh and comes often. She was so excited to have us try her favorite Pho spot. The outside and inside are not very fancy, but it gets the job done. We were seated right away, the server was super fun and friendly. There are for sure regulars that come here. The server knew a lot of people by name, for pick up orders and sitting inside. The Pho is for sure the best thing on the menu. If I would have only had the Pho it would have been a five star experience. I however had the combination and bbq chicken Banh mi Sandwiches and the shrimp spring rolls. The spring roll was crispy on the outside but still frozen on the inside. They remade it and the outside tasted like burnt oil and the inside was still cold. The Banh mi Sandwiches were full of super fresh veggies, I loved that! The downside is the combination one had no Mayo so I had to ask for some. The other downside was that the bbq chicken one had no sauce at all and very little chicken. Again, the veggies were really crunchy and fresh which I loved. Overall I would for sure go back for the Pho, it was delicious. One of the best broths I've had at a Pho spot. read more

This is truly a hole in the wall joint. Do not come looking for anything fancy or that 5 star treatment you might expect at the Ruth Chris. Now, that we have that out the way. The service was friendly. I was greeted as soon as I walked into the store. It's a small space, so there isn't to much to it. They were cleaning (rather sweeping the floor) and stopped to greet me and take my order. Everyone had on masks that I could see in front. In the back, I did see after ordering a few without their masks on (if that's something you need to take in consideration, then take as needed). They woman that took my order, washed her hands and gave me a menu. She wanted to know if there was anything in particular I was looking for and if I would be dinning in or take out (if you do take-out, they ask that you make your order and then return to your car to await for the food). I explained I just wanted something to go and from there I looked over the menu. When I asked about how some of the items were prepared, she quickly explained and never gave any attitude or anything about my many questions. From my questions, she gathered that I wanted something along the lines of vegetarian and suggested about four different dishes that I might like. Since I wasn't tooooo hungry, I went with the Nem Chay Cuốn Bbq Vegi Spring Rolls (2): Soft rice paper wrapped around bbq Vegi, & lettuce, served with house special sauce. Total: $5.41 What a treat! These were so fresh and tasty! Great mixture of herbs, noodles, and tofu. Nothing was too overwhelming - all just right! The dipping sauce!!?! I could drink it (well, maybe just use it on MORE rolls!). From what I gathered from my visit, it was a good spot for something simple. I do have friend that comes here every time they come to town to order their shrimp fried rice - they state it is amazing. A lunch here at about 1:30 p.m. on a Wednesday. It wasn't very crowded. The waitress sat us down with menus and never came back to take our order. Turned out she forgot about us, but she did apologize. We ordered crispy egg rolls appetizer, pho with eye round steak, BBQ pork rice plate, Lychee smoothie, and Cafe Sua Da drink. The crispy egg rolls were on point- they were crispy and the finely ground meat filling was delicious. The pho, on the other hand, was just okay. It lacked flavor. At least some of the meat was still raw (This is normal for those unfamiliar). They served it with a small amount of Thai basil, a large amount of bean sprouts, fresh jalapeno slices, and a small lime wedge. The BBQ pork meat was great. It was tender and had a lot of flavor. The meat was already sliced up into pieces for you, hence, probably why they didn't serve it with a knife. Personally, I prefer to cut my meat up myself. It was served with regular white rice, julienned carrots and cucumbers. The plate was not served with a fish sauce dip, which I'm accustomed to. Lychee smoothie was good-you'll have to mix it occasionally because it separates. Too bad they didn't have boba available. Cafe Sua Da wasn't that great. Too much sweetened condensed milk and didn't have much of a coffee flavor. read more

We used to love this place. We haven't been here in over five years. We stopped by for a late dinner and they were packed. We tried the chicken ban mi, vermicelli tofu, chicken and rice and shrimp spring roll. The chicken ban mi was the best. The bread was fresh and crusty. There wasn't a lot of meat. We were long time customers of the old owner and so glad they sold it to someone who is spending the time and resources to improve it. We dined there tonight for the first time since they took over. And we're pleased to see they have fixed things up. We ordered the Pho and also the grilled chicken vermicelli with vegetables. The pho had a nice flavor and was well cooked. The vermicelli dish featured fresh crisp vegetables and the grilled chicken had a very nice marinade which I had never seen at any other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. The staff were very friendly and our order was taken quickly and accurately. Our food also arrive quickly and tasted good. We're glad to say the new owners have improved most every aspect of the restaurant and we will be coming back as regular customers. Recommend you give them a try. read more

As a first timer - it was such a lovely experience and the food was delightful! I really like the fact that customers who were already eating made great recommendations - my cousin and I both got the [Spicy Beef Noodle Soup & Spring Rolls] - it was AHHH-mazing!!!!! The portions were fulfilling with more to take home to enjoy (which I love because you really get your money's worth). The owner was super pleasant and she spent time to talk with us one-on-one and shared the true authenticity of how the meal is made which I also loved! I enjoy establishments that are authentic and give you a true family vibe!! Overall - the experience and food were 10/10 but Yelp only allows 5 stars. Came here on a cold winter night, craving pho to warm us up. The restaurant was about 3/4 full, and we were seated right away. We were also promptly served water, but it took about five minutes to receive menus. We ordered the spicy chicken lemongrass with noodles, vegetarian spring rolls & egg rolls, and a large pho bo with tendon and eye round steak (among other pho dishes). The lemongrass was delicious--finished it right away. The vegetarian spring rolls and egg rolls were tasty, although we had asked to cut them in half but they forgot to do so for both orders. The broth for the pho bo was savory but there weren't a lot of noodles, so we ordered extra noodles. We ended up with leftover pho, and although they provided us a quart to pack up the noodles/broth, they didn't provide a bag.. Tbh their pho has gone down in quality a bit, and in store at least they've taken away the option to have a smaller bowl, you can only get large, and the ratio of broth/noodle is just too much. Along with cloudy broth, it's not my fave but it does hit the spot. With no other better option nearby it is the best thing going outside of making it yourself. I feel like I have much more success getting pho for delivery than going in to eat. Their grilled pork is awesome, great charred flavour, so their vermicelli bowls and banh mi are delicious. Wow!!!! Came here on a rainy Saturday in need of some good Vietnamese food after a road trip to back home. I've passed by this place a billion times and said, "I should try their food", but never stopped. From the outside this place looks a bit run down and though the structure is old, the interior and patio are immaculately kept. Everything is so clean you could eat off of the floors which is always a plus for me. The service was outstanding--friendly and fast. I was in a hurry so I didn't eat in, but rather took it to go. They have a high tech register that takes all payment methods including "tap to pay"! I ordered the Vietnamese Spring Rolls with Tofu and the Tofu Vermicelli (Bun Chay). In less than 10 mins my order as piping hot and ready to go. (During my wait I did utilize one of their gender-neutral lavatories which were also immaculately kept.) I ate the spring rolls as I was driving and they were perfectly filled. They use a delicious spicy lemongrass marinated tofu for their vegetarian/vegan dishes that is to die for! Crispy fried tofu with the right amount of spice and the freshness of the lemongrass...it's divine. When I got to my next destination (aka the parking lot of Target), I was so hungry that I had the vermicelli in the car. It was also out of this world and made with the same tofu. The portions are generous. This delightful meal set me back around $15 and was worth every penny. I will definitely be back soon as this is on my route can't wait to try something else!! read more

The customer service we received from beginning to end was pretty terrible. They would speak to us minimally and really acted like we were an inconvenience. I am giving the restaurant 2 stars because their food was decent. I had the Bun Bo Hue which was aromatic and flavorful. I felt it was seasoned well and had all of the flavors of the dish. But honestly I won't go back because of how the employees acted. For example, we needed an extra fork and had to go up to ask, and she said she'll bring it out when she has time. I think this is probably the best Vietnamese food you get around the Cary area. That being said the flavor is alright but it is definitely overpriced. I am from NJ/NY where the food is cheaper, bigger portions, and cheaper. The summer rolls were good but they didn't give you the traditional peanut sauce but instead housed sauce. The service is very minimal, they take your order and bring you your food but you pay upfront with a check they tape to the side of your table. I'd say come here only when you're really having a craving for Vietnamese food. read more
