This is a tough one. The food was good: served fresh and hot. However, there were some missed opportunities such as adding a nice marinara sauce to the eggplant, and swapping out a quality dinner roll for the bland, doughy bread stick. The help was very friendly, the pace of the serving was way slow. We waited over 45 minutes for the bill after we ate. There was no sign of our server. What really bugged me was the blaring television in the dinning room. Totally distracted from family conversation. Maybe we'll give them another shot. read more

We went there with friends. It was our 1st time. The food was okay. I ordered a steak quesdia but did not get the steak. My husband ordered shrimp which was supposed to come with bread, Cole slaw and sauce. He did not get any of that as well as someone at our table didn't get. 3 of the 5 meals ordered came out but the other 2 were not served until after another table was served, which by the way they sat down at least 15 minutes after us. The reason for the 2 stars is because the young lady that brought out our 1st 3 dinners literally threw them at us as though she was angry at us. Went there on a Sunday evening and almost no one there. Walked in the back door to sit on their covered porch and went in. The girl acting as hostess immediately turned her back on us and went to the the back of the bar to grab her phone and start scrolling away forcing me to say "excuse me". Food was mediocre as was her service. It seems all of the older waitresses and manager they had are gone and once again we are stuck with teens that don't give a d@mn. I was forced to pick 1 star as they do not have a zero. Do the owners eat this food??? Great surprise! We had been to this facility in its previous life and were really disappointed so we were hesitant to go back even with the newest owners. We were REALLY PLEASANTLY surprised! Baked cod and the beer battered cod were both great. Love the drawn butter but I tried the other dill type sauce and that was really great! Never had that before! Chris the Bartender is old school and really awesome. Loved his recommendations and he was very personable and professional. We would return just based on our experience with Chris at the bar! Just returned from a fish fry at Coach's. Service was very good, but was given a cajun clam chowder in error instead of NE clam chowder. It was quite spicy and needed a whole glass of water while eating it. The waitress taking the order did not serve the food as they have food servers. I ordered poorman's lobster. The fish was very dried out, the cole slaw was tasteless, and the bread was like hard tack. My husband's breaded fish fry was ok, but his slaw and bread were as bad as mine. We won't be returning, which is too bad as it's quite close to our home. We've eaten there several times before with varying results, but this was the worst. read more

Amazing pizza!!! Love the crust, love the toppings!! Friday fish fry is awesome. 3 pieces of fish, potato pancakes or fries, coleslaw and rye bread. Their burgers are also delish! Always take home food. We have been there a few times and each time the service is outstanding. They do take reservations which is great when we have a big group. Bar drinks are great especially the whiskey old fashions. They have young servers and they are all so polite. We can tell they train these kids with a strong work ethic! This place has potential but they really need to hire experienced help and update the tacky decor. We ordered appetizers at the bar but had to ask to do so. About 20 minutes later we had to get up and pour ourselves some water and retrieve our drinks from the bar ourselves. They were just not coming via our server for some reason. We were completely ignored for the next 1 1/2 hours. I finally asked to check on our meals and was told soon, it's very busy. Well by this time there was only 5 occupied tables! Our food finally arrived and was really delicious except for the pizza. Worth the wait? It could have been had there been some kind of attention/service during the long wait. It was just way too long plus no apologies, updates or any service of any kind was offered while we waited. From the time we were seated until we were able to pay our bill was over 2 1/2 hours. Far too long for chicken and burgers plus 1 small pizza. There was also a very sweet yellow lab hanging around the place, apparently he's a regular lol, making the rounds at the tables. As we were leaving I had to demand the server immediately remove the leftover chicken from our table before we could leave since the very large dog could reach the table and was very interested. Well, call me stupid as I figured I'd give this place another try as it's relatively close to us - BIG MISTAKE. Once again it wasn't very crowded so we put our order in and the wait started. It took 40 minutes for us to get our order (3 fish fries and a small pizza). While we were waiting, two other tables of 4 came in, sat down, and got their food. Meanwhile, we were still waiting. I finally tracked down our server to ask why it was taking so long. Apparently, the pizza was the hold up. Pro tip - if it's taking longer than anyone would think it should take for an order, let the customer know. So, now that I've been there two times, I think I've discovered at least once consistency - our server. I won't name her but it seems like both times we were there she was having trouble keeping up with her tables. She also doesn't seem to have that "internal clock" that most good servers have. The ability to know that things are taking a while is a required skill for a server - she doesn't seem to have it. She basically never checked in on us and I had to go find her to ask why our order was taking so long. Then the icing on the cake was when the bill came and it was incorrect, with an overcharge... As much as I want to like this place because it's close, I won't be going back. There just isn't a reason to go so let me save you the aggravation. Go ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE. After debating with the family on where to go, we decided on Coaches. The last time we were there, we had horrible service and food. However, we decided to give it another change since it is under new management. We will definitely never be going there again. We order the combo basket for an appetizer. Some of the centers of the fried mushrooms were frozen. Besides that, the basket was decent. Nothing too special. For dinner, we ordered 3 pizzas and a chicken salad. It took about 45 minutes for our food to come out. Keep in mind, there were about 3 tables in the entire restaurant. Food finally came out and the cheese pizza was black. Way over cooked. The pizza that looked the best was still extremely overcooked and very dry. The last pizza was hard as a rock. We could hit it with the metal pizza spatula and it sounded like you were hitting a rock. Not only that, but we couldn't even cut and get it off of the cardboard. The salad was average, however, some of the chicken was extremely soggy and had a gross texture. The manager came over and apologized, which is what should happen, but then went on and tried to come up with an explanation with why it went wrong. At that point, just apologize. Don't try to come up with an excuse. However, she was very nice and kind enough to comp our pizzas. The service itself was good. The server did nothing wrong, and it definitely wasn't her fault. She was very attentive and had a good attitude. Overall, the experience was not good, and we will not be going back any time soon, if at all. Ordered 2 pizzas & a sandwich, everything came out at different times (5+ minutes apart). Pepperoni was burnt on both pizzas and sandwich wasn't what we ordered. At that point said screw sandwich (didn't want to wait 1/2hr plus for it since rest of family was eating). Very disappointed as it took my husband and I 45 minuets to be seated and 45 minutes till we got our food. Understand that they were only open for a week and needed to adapt to their surroundings and adjust. Went there several times after, very slow service. Tonight was the worst by far. Stopped because we did not know it had changed ownership. Formally DeMarininis Denoon Saloon. We ordered a par-baked large thin crust pizza to go. The new host boldly stated their pizza was better than DeMarinis. Well.... A par bake should only take 10 or 15 minutes to prepare. Because we were at the bar having a beer they decided to hold our order. 35 or 40 minutes went by nursing a brew and we finally inquired about our order. BTW the bartender had to explain to the chef what a par bake was. Didn't help. Well, the pizza was readied miraculously in the next few minutes and we finished our last sip and headed home. Heated the oven to 450 Opened up the pizza bag to find a crust that was fully baked and far from thin. The edge was looked like a blackened twisted bread stick. All in all an average Milwaukee south side mass quantity pizza. Not awful, but not DeMarinis caliber. I usually give a restaurant a second chance. Will let you know. read more

I try not to make a big stink about things when I go out to eat, but I was beyond annoyed by how long our food took to get there and the quality of the food itself. The quality of the food absolutely does NOT warrant the prices they ask. Almost everything we ate was just a step above greasy-spoon diner quality. The $18 steak was compared to prison food. It was ordered medium rare and arrived looking like a hockey puck, with no pink in the middle whatsoever. The side was like three pieces of lettuce and two halves of a tomato. The "garlic bread" basically just bread soaked in butter. And I mean, dripping. Absolutely saturated. My mom squeezed the bread and it literally dripped butter. There must have been two tablespoons of butter on each of these pieces of bread. And no garlic to be tasted! There is no reason that any of this food should have warranted the amount of time that passed between ordering and eating. Cocktails were fab. Had the maple bourbon old fashioned, and at least that did not disappoint! We thought it was interesting that there was a snarky quip on the menu about negative reviews. Maybe instead of blaming your customers (even if veiled by attempted humor), improve your service and your food? Just a thought. read more

We stopped here for dinner for dinner the staff was very friendly and courteous the atmosphere was very inviting when we looked at the menu prices we thought oh my goodness this is going to be expensive but for the amount of food we got it was well Worth the price the food was fresh and very very delicious our waitress was very attentive to our needs I had the fried zucchini the French on Jan soup and a salad my husband had a hamburger and fries the zucchini that we got could've been shared with four people the French onion soup was the best I've ever had I also had a a brandy old-fashioned which was the most delicious drink I ever had I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone anyone if I could give it more than five stars I would read more
