After someone mentioned Dean's, everyone else nodded so this was the unanimous choice. We got two orders of pot roast. Mine was accompanied by collards and his sides were deviled eggs and mash potatoes. Absolutely no complaints. Food was fantastic. I do love Southern food! Since this was also a bakery, I had to try some of the desserts. At first I didn't know what apple fried pie was. Our server said it was just apple pie that is deep fried. I mean, is there anything bad that comes out of deep frying? The server did ask me if I wanted the pie warmed up and I said no. I suggest you say yes if asked. It really would have been much better warm but it certainly wasn't bad a little chilled. I loved the small bits of chopped apples. The pie was filled with so many applies and sprinkled with sugar. This was definitely a winner. Service: Extremely friendly. Tip: Bring cash or else pay the credit card fee. Parking: Plenty in the small shopping center.

Solid Dinner. 4 main items, 7 sides, 2 desserts and 2 free roles/cornbread…read more Almost every item was flavorful and worth ordering again. Pork Loin - juicy Meatloaf - flavorful, prefer more of a tomato top, but still good. Turkey Club - perfect toasted sandwich, well stacked with ingredients. Large, made for two meals. Pot Roast - solid seasoning, gravy on point. Free bread - corn bread is unique. Crust, crumbly. Full of flavor. Yeast role has a nostalgic feel. Don't fill up on them :). Potatoes au gratin - yes. Great beans - Yes! Mash potatoes - yes Colored Greens - and entire reason to try this place! Corn pudding YES, sweet and almost custard texture. Corn stuffing - pass Gravy - it's a food group. We ended our meal with a fried apple pie, coconut cream pie, strawberry cake, and Chocolate layer cake. Pies were solid. Makes sense that the chocolate fried pie was out. Both cakes were moist, icing light and not too sweet. Have had better strawberry cake, but I'm not mad at it. Service was top notch. Hostess seemed to be on auto pilot. We showed up at the height of the lunch rush. Bit loud, very local and amazing time capsule interior. A must visit if you are anywhere in the area.

Lots of tables , booths and bar tables. Big TVs in the bar with the games on. The food was amazing. Had grilled salmon tacos and I was there was more. My friend had a pizza and it was great as well. The chips were so good too! I will be coming back to try more of the menu .

Aubrey's is almost always packed, which makes it seem like a standout spot in our small town. After…read morevisiting a few times, though, I've found it to be... pretty average. They do offer outdoor seating, which is nice, although I'm not sure yet if it's dog-friendly--something I'll have to check out next time. We usually sit at the bar, and one thing I've learned is that you need to be very specific with your drink order if you have preferences. For example, if you order a dirty martini without clarification, be prepared for a glass that tastes almost entirely like olive brine. Asking for "light" on the olive juice is a must. Even a standard vodka martini doesn't automatically come with a lemon twist, which feels like a small but noticeable miss. Service has consistently been solid--friendly and attentive, about what you'd expect. The food, however, has been hit or miss. I tried the FGTs twice, hoping the first experience was just an off night, but they still weren't memorable enough to order again. The steak tips appetizer has been the one standout for us--really flavorful--but if you're planning on ordering a steak entrée, doubling up on steak feels a bit redundant. The salads that come with the meals are reliably good, and the steaks themselves are decent, especially with the loaded baked potato on the side. That said, I ordered a fish dish on one visit that was forgettable enough that I can't even recall exactly what it was--just that I wouldn't order it again. Overall, Aubrey's is perfectly fine, but it hasn't wowed me. At this price point, I think there are better options around town. We might stop back in from time to time if we're in the mood for something different.
