While staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in Carlsbad I ate at their restaurant for breakfast and enjoyed the breakfast buffet for $24. I was very impressed with the service and quality of food. I travel a lot throughout the U.S. and around the world and have never had bacon perfectly cooked like I did here. In fact everything I had was perfect. Nothing undercooked or over cooked. The bacon wasn't cooked to where it was too crunchy and it didn't sit in a lot of grease. The mini waffles were delicious and the eggs weren't runny or sat in water. My only complaint was for dinner when I went to order a cheeseburger the server informed me that they were out of burgers. Since this is a popular hotel with a lot of guests with children seems like they should always have plenty of burgers. But other than that the food was delicious.

Tina is an amazing bartender and server!! I absolutely loved every drink and enjoyed our banter. the salad i got was SO good. 10/10. i got the ceasar, added chicken, bacon, an egg and feta cheese. the chef, patrick, quite literally made it perfectly! i was so satisfied and happy with everything. linda, the other server was also so sweet as well. i would definitely come here to chill, eat and drink again. it's a chill environment, i was able to get work done while enjoying my food and drink.

We came here for dinner and happy hour. I would say the food was great!!! We tried the short rib tacos, chicken wings, chips and salsa, quesadilla, hummus, chicken strips and the flourless cake!!! The crispness of the chicken was perfect complemented with the honey siracha sauce! Yummm!!!! The star that made our experience unforgettable though is Erica! She was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, she made us feel so welcome. She was warm, attentive, and checked in often without ever being overbearing. Her recommendations were spot-on and really elevated our dining experience. It's rare to find service that feels both professional and genuinely caring--she truly made our visit memorable. Thank you very much!!!!! We highly recommend! Came here on our last night and tried the sliders, wow! They're reallllllly good! And our server Tina rocks!!! Also the gentleman from the bar area. The food was delicious!!!!! Amazing vibe! Will definitely come back!!! Thank you!!! The flourless torte was really good too! Highly recommend! Thank you!!!!!!

The place gets too loud in the morning - as we had experienced it very much. It wasn't young crowd it was obnoxious grown people. I was expecting we will be the one going to be loud as we have kids in our party, but no. So, if you're not awake yet during the morning rush prepare to experience it. But again, it depends on the crowd in house. As we sat down, the server isn't too attentive to details - missing items here and there. We ordered minimal items as we had a la cart menu and its almost closing time - but that doesn't mean you wont go above and beyond right? The food was good and hot. Nothing too fancy, it's homey and delicious. Our server mistook our order wrong and not very apologetic as i may say. I don't normally take it seriously cause remember there was a loud crowd - but not be apologetic? Uhmm... it could be better. We still tip our server - no thank you or anything. We could have not too but bcos i believe in tipping we still did. I hope we could have a better experience. Next time, maybe.

Food is amazing, very big portion definitely get your moneys worth. The only thing is it's a small menu.

I stay at this Hilton regularly and love the breakfast. Quick and clean with beautiful full view of the ocean. They have a great happy hour and I've tried almost everything on the menu after staying here so many times. It's perfect for any meal but the breakfast and dinner menu are what I'm most familiar with. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone staying here.

Great Spot for Drinks, But Pricey…read more We didn't actually have a meal at 20|Twenty, so I can't really comment on the food, but we did stop in for drinks and enjoyed the atmosphere. It's a beautiful, comfortable place to sit, relax, and have a drink, and the service was good. The one disappointment was the coffee. For a restaurant at this level--and at these prices--I expected the coffee to be much better. Overall, everything is definitely on the expensive side, which is somewhat expected at a resort, but you definitely notice it. One funny thing we noticed: the sign above the door appears to be backwards and reads "Twenty|20" instead of "20|Twenty." It's a small detail, but once you notice it, you can't really unsee it! Overall, we enjoyed our time here and would give it four stars based on the atmosphere, drinks, and service. I'd come back for cocktails, but probably look elsewhere for my morning coffee.

You can enter it direct from the hotel lobby or via an exterior entrance close to the main hotel entrance. It features a large and beautiful dining room, stylish bar and ample seating outside to enjoy the outstanding Southern California weather. We had two breakfasts here. We ordered off the menu on day one and ate outside, and we ordered their Weekend buffet ($25) on day two and ate inside. Both breakfasts were made extra special by our wonderful server Digna. We were so lucky to enjoy her fun personality, engagement, and overall charm on both mornings. On Day One, I ordered something I had seen on menus for years, but never tried before. My Chilaquiles ($22) were" a savory bowl of Boraccho beans, queso fresco, avocado, eggs, red onion, bathed in a guajillo chile sauce". I thanked Digna who taught me how to pronounce it. I loved the taste- the sauce and the tortilla wedges, sliced avocado, and egg. What a feast. On Day Two I went with the buffet and went straight to the big pile of smoked salmon, red onion slices, chive cream cheese and mini bagels. The salmon was high quality thinly sliced, just the way we like it. The buffet also had everything you want in a buffet- hot dishes, pastries, yogurt, and fruit. The fruit was great-plenty of watermelon, assorted melons, and berries. I did find it odd that when I went to toast my bagel, I saw they only had one toaster with four slots. Unfortunately, the two left slots did not work, so restaurant patrons were lining up to toast their breads one at a time. I mentioned this to one of the staff, and his response was "Yeah, we know." Anyway, that indifferent reaction was more than counterbalanced by the fantastic food and Digna's 1,000-watt personality. And what's the origin of Digna's unique name? I asked her and she said her mother named her after a street in her home town.

Family-Friendly Escape Near Legoland…read more While staying at the nearby Legoland Hotel, a few of us moms decided to sneak away from our husbands and kids for a quick break, and this place was a fantastic find! It features a variety of food stalls serving fresh, high-quality dishes, which was a very welcome break from the typical fried hotel food. With options ranging from pizza and fried chicken to a great selection of Asian cuisines like Thai and Chinese, it is an easy way to accommodate different tastes within a family or across multiple families. I especially loved the fresh, piping-hot dishes (we got the pad see ew) from the Thai food stall paired with a delicious cocktail from the central bar. Before heading back, we also grabbed some mini donuts to bring to the kids. The space is incredibly accommodating, with plenty of indoor seating options including bar tables, cozy booths, and standard tables. On top of that, they have several arcade games on-site, making this a highly viable and fun dining option for families with kids. Would recommend as a viable option if you're in the area.

"And the world is like an apple whirling silently in space…read moreLike the circles that you find in the windmills of your mind" (Sting) If you've ever driven on Interstate 5 (or in the lingo of the locals...."the Five") in Carlsbad you've seen the giant Windmill spinning curiously on the side of the road. Well, if you're hungry but can't exactly decide how to satisfy that hunger, just follow the windmill to the Windmill Food Hall. That's what we did and were soon face-to-face with fourteen different food vendors, ranging the ethnic gamut from Thai to Chinese to Sushi to Burgers to Lobster to Pizza to Mexican and pretty much anything your hungry little heart craves. Our party of three scattered into three directions and reunited at a table for our eclectic lunch. My wife went with meatballs from Cacio because Craft Pizza didn't sell slices, just a 12" pizza. My brother-in-law went with a Honey Walnut Shrimp plate from Secret Sauce Wok, and I went with sushi and miso soup from Rolled Up Sushi. I loved my lunch, starting with a nice flavorful Miso Soup ($5) that was served in a coffee cup! My eight Spicy Tuna Rolls ($14) were most definitely spicy. Now, since I love spicy food I was thrilled because 98% of the spicy tuna rolls I've had over the years are ho-hum on the old spiciness meter. Not these. The food hall was packed, and we saw many families having lunch there. Kids were all over, including some uniformed sports teams. The kids were also at the many video and arcade games on the premises, while bigger kids were entertaining themselves at Windmill's big bar. What a fun place for a fun food experience.

Jacob was our server, and he was fantastic. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever making us feel rushed. Later, Kaitlyn brought out our butter cake, and what started as a quick interaction turned into one of those unexpected conversations that give you a different perspective and refresh that we all need every once in a while. The food was just as impressive. We started with the Spinach & Artichoke Dip, which was the perfect appetizer. For dinner, we ordered the Center Cut Filet, Cha Cha's Spicy Rigatoni, and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and something we'd happily order again. If you're thinking about dessert, do yourself a favor and order the butter cake. It absolutely lives up to the hype. What stood out most, though, was the people. Working in a restaurant can be overstimulating and exhausting. Everyone we interacted with was kind and welcoming. It's easy to enjoy a great meal, but it's the people who make you want to come back. From the service to the food to the atmosphere, the entire team is doing an incredible job. Thank you to Jacob, Kaitlyn, the manager, kitchen staff, and everyone else who made our evening so enjoyable. We'll definitely be back.
