Hey I give them five plus stars why u may ask I woke up with my fridge on but not work the whole thing was not getting cold no power to the front panel did some you tubbing and found out what was wrong called and talk I think her name was Yvonne gave her the model number circuit board that I needed or what I needed she looked it up left for about 5 seconds came back said we got it went down there about an hour later picked up the thing and installed it started very easy save me a whole bunch of money definitely will use them again if I have problems with my fridge and I definitely recommend them to anybody if you need parts for a fridge and I got a whole bunch of other stuff that you might need for all your household appliances read more

Five star customer service, and friendly staff!! My dryer gave out on me and I needed a simple little part. I called in hoping Coast might have what I needed. I was pleasantly surprised that they knew what the part I needed and had plenty in stock. If it's not an emergency, don't visit this place. Order online or somewhere else. If you do go, be prepared for poor customer service. Additionally, If you try to return a part, you may get sarcasm. One of the employees that helped me yelled out "I'm excited" after telling her I was there to return a part. I visited this location three times and the service was consistently poor and if you order online through their website, it says they will contact you when it's ready. They will not. We have several older appliances that infrequently need some minor repairs. This store so far has had the parts we need. The people at the counter, and on the phone are courteous and knowledgeable. Sur, you order this stuff online, and sometimes it is necessary, but they have many parts here in Bakersfield with no wait. Sometimes the shipping costs more than the part when ordering. Last part I bought here was a thermal fuse for an older clothes dryer. Online it was $6.95, with another $6.95 in shipping WTF? This part was about an inch long and weighed like four grams. Coastal had it behind the counter for $12.40 plus taxes, almost the same price. And I had it in 20 minutes. Try them out if you are a do it yourselfer. read more

I went in looking for a part for my dishwasher and these guys wouldn't help, At All. I had basic questions and they acted like they knew nothing but prices and offered No customer service. I purchased the part just in case my repair man needed it when he was available after 5 o'clock ( which is when this location closed) because he said I could return it if it's unopened and I don't install it, I NEVER OPENED IT, and so I returned it a few days later because it wasn't needed. They hassled me about the return un-opened box and told me I already installed it. It was Very obvious I never opened it, They ripped it open when I took it back and proceeded to continued to ask Every person in the store if it "looked like it was installed" basically telling me I was lying because it had a finger print on it, so while I sat there watching them trying to make me look bad, I already knew I would write this review. I'm pretty sure the owner is the heavy set Caucasian man with a long beard that was rude the first time and his employees were rude as well. Wow! Thanks for crappy customer service. My grandfather has been going here for years and they just lost loyal customers for good. I'd rather wait on Amazon or ANY online order then go into this business again. read more

Was excited to see an appliance store within 5 minutes of my house since my dryer door switch went out last night. I looked online to price out the little switch on my Kenmore 600 dryer and was relieved to find out the cost was anywhere between $5 and $12 dollars. So off to Coast Appliances I went. I have to say, I was happy they had what I needed as the guy at the counter went directly to the back and brought the OEM part to the counter in about 3p seconds. All that was fantastic. However, when the guy told me the price, $26.17, I was shocked!!! More than twice the price of what I had found online. I'm talking Sears, other appliance distributors etc. $26.17!!?? I'll buy online next time for sure. Can't see this place booming in business for lung with that kind of gouging. First and last experience with Coast. read more

I went to this place in Bakersfield to get parts for my ice dispenser (Grandson broke it). I brought them the broken parts and the refrigerator model number. It took them 3 weeks to get the parts and when they arrived one part was missing (ice funnel) and the other one (ice paddle) was the wrong color and there were two of them. When I politely pointed out that a part was missing and that I couldn't use two ice paddles anyway, the employee (Mike, the thinner guy) got an attitude and told me if I didn't like it, I could go to another appliance parts place down the road. I took his advice and ordered the parts online through AppliancePartsPros. The parts will be here in a few days instead of three weeks. I always try to use local businesses instead of the internet because I want to keep my money in Bakersfield to support local jobs. In the future I will not be using Coast to get my appliance part, they are just too slow and a rude to boot. read more

I dont want to give a bad review of the whole company due to one person. I called yesterday about coils for my dryer. The woman on the phone was very pleasant and helpful. She told me to bring the coils in and they would test them for me. I was excited because that would mean I didnt have to waste money on the part if they werent bad. I get to the store today and the woman at the counter was rude as hell. She saw us holding the coils and just took off to the back and grabbed some. I asked if they could test ours and she said no. I told her the woman on the phone said she would test them. She responded with "we DONT test coils." Not even said nicely. And she was rude to the customer in front of us too. He went to tell her the part he needed and she snatched it off the counter and said "I know what it is! " Its sad that one person can leave such a poor custumer opinion. I hope this review makes it to management so they can have Rhonda work on her customer service skills. read more
