Thank you for having this specific part available due to a water valve failure.

I was in a situation where I needed a part to replace on my washing machine and was unable to order the part online without having to wait an entire weekend. I found the part at coast appliance and saw that they had 1 available stock in Long Beach. I ended up calling the facility, in such a female associate was able to help and confirm the part availability, and without asking she saved the part under my name and phone number to hold for me. Within a couple hours, I picked up the part, replaced the washing machine piece, and everything was in working order. Extremely helpful associates, fair pricing for a part that would've taken at least 3 days to deliver, and a useful and accurate website that made it easy to check for inventory.

I needed a #lintfilter for my stackable #washerdryer this was the first place I called. Elizabeth was so very nice and professional, she put the #lintfilter that I needed in will call. I love DIY stuff, I definitely recommend #coastapplianceparts...

Recently my old and über ancient Frigidaire dryer decided it wanted to fly south for the winter and take all the heat with it. My husband and I are novice handymen and frequently turn to YouTube to help fix stuff around the house. Doing so has saved us tons of money on repairs and unnecessary replacements. So the way I saw it was that I had one of two options to go with which were: 1. Buy & spend tons on a new dryer, and if we got a new dryer I would most certainly need the matching washer to go with it. I mean seriously in girl world you can't have a miss-matched washer/dryer that's a complete laundry room faux pas. or 2. Do it ourselves and save hundreds of dollars; dollars which can be better spent feeding my addiction at Sephora or Nordstrom's. The way I see it, or the way according to my husband I "rationalize" things are, I can't put a washer/dryer on my face, but I can with make-up. I can't carry a washer/dryer on my arm, but I can a new purse. I can't wear a washer/dryer on my feet, but a beautiful new pair of Louboutin's I can. So, spending money on a new dryer was clearly NOT an option I was even willing to entertain. Hence we decided to tackle the no heating issue ourselves. I quickly turned to the net and looked up all the issues it could be, and quickly found some quick and easy fixes. On the down side the parts we needed, if ordered online, would take forever to ship. We then turned to our local ACE Hardware who told us they didn't carry the part/s we were looking for but suggested we try Coast Appliance. Without wasting any time I called them and they informed that they had all the parts I was looking for and even offered some troubleshooting tips. Sal, one of the sales associates, was absolutely amazing, he was cordial, helpful and patient with my husband and I after several trips back and forth and non-stop questions. Alas, in the end our do it yourself prowess was not enough to fix the problem; we're guessing it's a more complicated electrical issues which is just beyond our pay grade. Nonetheless Coast Appliance made our attempts to fix the issue quick and easy, and we still only spent a fraction of a fraction of the cost it would take to buy a new dryer. I was pleased that they had all the parts and we did not have to wait on any special orders. They were relatively local, brownie point there, and as I mention very helpful. Should the need arise (hopefully not as I don't want anything else in my house to break down) we will certainly turn to Coast Appliance for any of our appliance parts needs. If you're a do it yourself kinda guy/gal give Coast Appliance a try.

I've been coming hear for a couple years now any time I need appliance parts. I go fairly often as appliance repair is a hobby of mine, I was just there today in fact. The nice thing about Coast is they have a good amount of stuff in stock and generally the prices are pretty good too. If they don't have what I need in stock, they can order it and usually have it in about 2 days. The staff has always been helpful and friendly. Although the one thing that really bothered me was phone calls took priority over any customer standing in the store, at the counter, right there in front of them! That is just wrong! Well this "the phone has top priority" mentality changed about 2 months ago when the entire management and counter staff changed. I'm not sure if this franchise or a company store, but something changed and now the customer in the store has priority over phone calls! Otherwise the parts, service and prices are the same, just as good as they were before!

CONS: - When Matt the service repairman came to my house I showed him the washer and explained that the washer wasn't draining the water. He immediately said, you need to replace the water pump, and then quoted me $350. I was a bit shocked because he didn't even open the washing machine in the back to see if it was really the pump that was the issue. The error code on the machine said there was a clog, and I asked him how did he know it wasn't a clogging issue and not the pump? Also $350 seemed very expensive given the price of the washing machine is $800, and so it just didn't make sense that I would pay $350 to replace a water pump. I told him we didn't need the water pump but still paid him $69 just for coming to see the washer even though he only saw the washer for less than 3 minutes and didn't even open the back of the machine to make sure that the water pump was actually at fault. Afterwards, I went to an appliance repair store and found out that a water pump only costs $50 and you could just replace it yourself if you watch some YouTube videos.

The latest was this weekend for my Viking refrigerator when it stopped working. I was able to get an appointment on Friday night for them to come out Saturday. Of course they didn't have the part but then again I don't expect them to have every single part for every fridge model on their truck or in their office. The part came in the day after the holiday and they installed it the same day. Hopefully, the fridge works for at least a few more years. No issues with the tech that came out nor any issues with their scheduling. I would use them again.

They did not have the part but would order it. I contacted them three times in the next few days. Each time the answered was "we will call GE to order the part and get back to you ASAP." We never heard from them again. They did not call or return to fix the fridge. I cannot recommend this business. The above is my original review. Following this, Sean called to apologize and explain. The fridge is a GE manufactured in Mexico. They attempted to find the part various ways including contacting the manufacturer in Mexico. They refunded our $95. We appreciate their follow up.

I looked around and came across Brian's number which was listed by a neighbor on NextDoor. I checked his Yelp page, not only did he have one but it was solid. I left a message for Brian and he called me back within the hour. I gave him the details and he said he would call me back later looking it up. An hour later he calls me back and said that the pedestal washer was actually not something that he's familiar with and therefore wouldn't feel comfortable working on it. What a stand up kind of guy! He did what he said he was going to do (called me back when he said he would) and he was up front and completely honest about not being familiar with this type of washer. In fairness, I couldn't give Brian 5 stars because I actually didn't use him, however I do want to still leave him a solid review for his customer service. I'm sure that had I been able to use him, he would have gotten 5 stars. I'll be keeping his number handy for when I(or someone I know in the area) need him in the future. Oh! And he's a veteran (from his website) - so that's always a plus in my book! Cheers!

I searched the internet and found A1 Speeds Appliance Repair. I called and talked to Brian (the owner?). Brian told me he could come out and look at it and that it would be a $95 dollar service charge that would apply to the repair, if it could be repaired. Brian showed up the next day, took the control panel off, unplugged the main board and shook some dead bugs out of it. He figured the circuit board was bad but I suggested he plug it back in and we look again just in case the bugs had been shorting it out. To my pleasant surprise it worked! Brian reassembled the front panel and tested the washer and all was good. The entire process took less then 45 minutes. Brian then proceeded to write up a work order and charged me $295 for the service call. I reminded him of the $95 service call he had quoted me and that he did not replace any parts or really 'fix' anything other than just unplugging about 4 connectors from the main circuit board and then plugging them back in. I told him I was not happy with the charge at all so he relented and discounted it by $45. I ended up paying $250 for a 45-minute service call after having originally being quoted $95. I WILL NEVER CALL A1 SPEEDY APPLIANCE AGAIN - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
