We had a really lovely dinner at Coast on a chilly Friday night during season. We lucked out with a last minute reservation (which are highly recommended) and were seated outside on the porch just before the sun set. It's a small porch/balcony area, so it's very intimate and there are only a few tables out there. We weren't really bothered by any neighboring tables which was really nice. It almost felt like a private room. There was also a larger indoor area with lots of tables and views of the water. It was a little cold out, especially after the beautiful sunset, so having some of those outdoor heaters would have made the night even better. Our server was really friendly and helpful when we had questions. Service was outstanding. And the food portions were so large, especially for the entrees. I started with the lobster bisque...it was definitely a soup night. It was delicious with large chunks of lobster ($14). And then I had the lobster and shrimp ravioli ($48) and I honestly expected 5 little raviolis with lobster and shrimp filling, but I was SO impressed by the dish. It was a very large portion and the oversize raviolis were topped with huge pieces of lobster meat, baby shrimp, sauce and shaved cheese. I loved it! read more

My friends parents are members here so anytime I visit we come to the beach! The men who set up our chairs and take our food/drink orders are excellent. Staff is always super friendly, clean beach, and the beach chairs are comfortable. For the food I got: Ahi Tuna Poke and Veggie In The Raw and both were delicious for lunch. Ambiance: upon arrival the overall ambiance was nice, the lobby was clean, the seating was spaced out and had comfortable and spacious tables. Food: the food was typical while dining in Naples. I have not found a good place in Naples and truly believe that good food simply doesn't exist within Naples. We placed my 4 year old nephews order first so that it would be out and distract him from creating mass destruction. The food came out after a long 30 minutes, his was nowhere to be found. About 15 minutes later he finally received his Mac and cheese which was literally...ICE cold. It was gross, we asked for them to take it back which they did and then proceeded to hand him a nuclear hot bowl of Mac and cheese that he could not touch. He waited, and then took his first bite which then resulted to him screaming bloody murder and burning his mouth. I ordered the burger - medium. It was one of the most over cooked dry burgers I have eaten. It tasted as if I was biting into a salt patty as well. Absolutely one of the worst $28 burgers I have had (which I can't say I've had many). My girlfriend's salmon was undercooked, and overall for the ridiculous price points - we expected a lot more. Service: the service was simply lackluster. No check ins to see how everything was, no refills, nothing. I would've understood if it was busy but it was slow and we were one of the first tables seated during the dinner shift. From the experience with my nephews food, to us wanting drinks and never getting them, and the really bad food, I simply would not recommend this place. Then when we wanted to leave no valet was found anywhere. We asked someone in the hotel lobby who then retrieved our keys for us and I then proceeded to pick up my own vehicle. read more

Amazingly bad experience on all fronts. Sat for 20 minutes without being acknowledged and had to request a server to order drinks and our meal. Informed that they were out if 3 of the main courses were not available and the server returned later to inform us one of our ordered meals was now not available. 45 minutes into our visit, no drinks had arrived and we had to request silverware and napkins. First course arrived before drinks came and we had to request to have them delivered. Main course took another 35 or 40 minutes to arrive. Filet ordered medium was well done and tough, Filet was sent back and returned tough and well done again. Scallops were not seared and mostly raw. Service was abominable, staff untrained and inattentive, management was no where to be found and their response to our concerns was lame. We had to get up and track someone down to pay the check. Strongly recommend dining anywhere else other than Coast. read more

We celebrated my wife's 70th birthday at the Coast restaurant last night. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The food and drinks were outstanding. My wife had the Day Boat Scallops that were delicious and cooked to perfection. I ordered the Shrimp & Lobster Ravioli and I was blown away by the entrée. I expected a plate of ravioli. But what I was served was not only a plate of delicious shrimp and lobster stuffed ravioli, I also received 3 or 4 jumbo shrimp and two large pieces of lobster meat in a rich cream sauce. The dish was an absolute bargain at $46 and it was so large that I took half of it back home with me. We will definitely be coming back again soon! read more

Do not spend your money at this restaurant! The food is awful. We had the poke tuna bowl which was smelly and the avocado compote was rotten the muscles had to be sent back they were tough and overly salty. The salmon was not fresh and also overly salty The wait staff was overwhelmed even though the dining room was not full. We had to ask for water many times before we got it. Our waitress also made our drinks! Our bill was over $500! We will never come back to this restaurant again and will tell our friends the same The best thing about this place is the sunset view. read more

I'm surprised by these reviews. We stayed at the edgewater and ordered from the restaurant 2-3 times for dinner (room service since we have a toddler and would eat after putting him down) and each time it was delicious. We tried the salmon, ny strip, panzanella salad and a cheese burger on different nights. And each time food was well prepared, well-garnished and seasoned and perfectly cooked. Not to mention, very fresh. I would definitely recommend eating here. It seems like these bad reviews are less about the food and more about other issues like setup or a waiter. read more

Had dinner here last night and the food, service and ambiance were amazing! I had the grilled grouper and asked for it blackened. It was wonderful and served with a lemon beurre blanc sauce I asked for to be in the side. The risotto and asparagus were also cooked perfectly. Arrived and had a great seat outside. It is inside a hotel just off the lobby so there is a lot of foot traffic thru the restaurant. We ordered drinks and it took forever to get them but once they arrived they were excellent! We had a caprese salad, lobster bisque and crab cake, it was all very good. For entrees we had lobster and shrimp ravioli, black grouper and salmon. I would say the it was all excellent but the risotto was very dry but had a good flavor. Our waitress seemed to more focused on her regulars than she was on us. Bottom line, food was 5 star and had 5 star prices, the service was less then average. Over the summer, I had breakfast at the Edgewater, but I thought the first time was a fluke. Now having had dinner here I am 100% positive, that this place takes hotel restaurants to a new low. Only if you like the Hungry Man Salisbury Steak, would I ever recommend this place. The filet had the texture of spam and the flavor of what I would only assume Alpo would taste like. The charcuterie board was replete club crackers, Kraft singles and a couple of grapes....it was the best thing on the menu. While the staff was extremely nice and professional , I can only assume they were embarrassed to be serving the second rate cafeteria food offered here. My recommendation would be to order a pizza and enjoy the view. read more

Sitting in the Edgewater hotel, this restaurant had real promise. I think it just fell short on 2 area's. First of all, I ordered the Lobster Benedict. Everything but the lobster was good., It seemed old and smelled quite fowl. The flavors for our meal were good, the portions were good the only super negative was the price. With Lobster Egg Benedict,, french toast, bacon and 2 bloody Mary's, the bill was well over $100. That's just crazy. read more

Perfectly prepared Surf & Turf. Started with complimentary lobster & crab cake (free with yelp checkin.....or could have chosen 1 glass of wine). The most amazing fresh hot bread (lightly sweetened with coconut) served with olive oil for dipping. The main entree was NY strip steak (prepared perfectly & oh so tender) and paired with Sea Bass topped with siracha sauce (pretty but too hot for me, so I scraped that off & gave to hubs). I dined here because depending on where you're located, you can walk on the beach to get there! I made a reservation and requested outdoor seating. When I got there, the staff said that outdoor seating was on a first-come-first-serve basis and that there was someone ahead of us. Thankfully it wasn't very crowded so we got a seat maybe 20 minutes later. I was just a little confused about the reservation versus first walk-in status. The service was very friendly but hadn't heard of the Yelp deal of the free glass of wine even though it's on the receipts at the restaurant too. I had the snapper with rice, which for me was a little too bland. Overall, a good restaurant in a great location in a nice hotel on the beach. read more

After we were seated it took a good 10-15 just for the waitress to show up. And another 45 minutes to get breakfast food. Kinda of ruined the atmosphere for sure. read more

For sure, a skip in Naples. Dined here on a Thursday evening, and the service was subpar as best. Food was okay, drinks were good, views were good, valet no where to be found, service was no where to be found our server stopped by our table maybe every 30 minutes, long wait times for food, did not offer another round of drinks or dessert. Had to flag down our server after 20 minutes of finishing our meal just for the bill. All in all there are way better places in Naples to catch a sunset and great meal with great service and not sit somewhere for 2 hours with no drinks or food. read more

My wife and I thought we'd try somewhere we'd not yet been so we chose Coast. The staff was very friendly and polite, and they seemed to do their best throughout the night. But, unfortunately the food was not very good. My wife ordered a salad with tomatoes that simply weren't ripe. We sent it back twice. Her third order of cauliflower cakes with quinoa was fine but lacked flavor. I had macadamia encrusted snapper which was dry and lacked flavor as well. Finally, the custard dessert was very odd, served in a big wine glass and lacked flavor. Our whole meal lacked flavor and seasoning. The restaurant itself is essentially in the lobby of the hotel. I suggest you avoid Coast. read more

We had reservations for 6 at 7 PM last eve; two of us arrived early and enjoyed a drink at the outside patio bar which was getting ready to close-post sunset. Gary the bartender is the only redeemable employee who understands customer service....At 6:45 PM we sat had a drink with all guests presents and ordered apps, entrees and wine. at 8:30 PM the food arrived - cold. Apologies were forthcoming from all sectors including the 'Manager-In-Training' who must've been all of 22?! Some of us had the food immediately boxed to go and we asked for the check - more apologies ensued. We received the bill to be split 3 ways evenly and were aghast to find a 20% gratuity included! Are you f'ing kidding me?!?! Sent the bill back and demanded they remove the gratuity and asked for a real manager who was evidently hiding in the back. Mackenzie appeared and was no more helpful than junior perhaps more brusque. Too bad as they have a nice location and Gary the outside pool bartender is awesome! Never again. read more

The food was just average. I don't appreciate it when they add the gratuity to the bill and don't advise you when presenting it. Feels like they want you to not notice that and double tip them. Service was really not worth the 20% charged, but regardless, I would have paid that on my own without being prodded. I could understand for groups of six or more but there was only three of us. We saw good reviews on Yelp so decided to try Coast. We were a party of nine including two children. We were seated promptly on the outside veranda overlooking the pools and gulf beyond. There were only about two other tables with dinning guests, the rest of the place was empty. We ordered drinks and were provided bread with dipping oil. The bread seemed stale. The children's menu was very affordable and one pizza was enough for the two children. I ordered PEI mussel app which was good and scallop dinner which arrived cold. I sent the scallops back and the second dish was fine. They were out of salmon which we did not learn about until a order was placed. Two guests ordered the hanger steak. One steak was ordered med rare but was cooked more on the rare side and arrived cold. The other steak was ordered med well and was fine. The pork was very good, chicken was adequate, prime rib was fine. We did not attempt desserts. Not likely to return any time soon. read more

You are sitting above the pool area but can also see the gulf; don't worry about noise from people swimming. The staff and management were very attentive. Went here for dinner and was seated early. Atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was very busy. We ordered an appetizer and two meals. Appetizer never arrived . The waiter told us he would take it off the bill and when we received the bill it was not taken off. We waited 10 minutes for him to pick up our credit card and bill and when he did not show we went to the hostess who apologized . She offered to give us 50 percent off our bill and took my credit card to make the adjustment. When she showed me a copy of the updated bill 50 percent had not been taken off and she had to re run it again. Overall good we got was good, but the service needs to be ready to handle a busy night. read more

We decided to try this restaurant while staying at the Edgewater Hotel. Very nice restaurant and judging by the prices on the menu, we thought we were in for a great meal at a high-end restaurant. We were mistaken. The grouper dinner for $38 was not fresh, smelled like fish and was tasteless. The appetizer meze platter was ridiculous with barely any of the hummus or feta the menu proclaimed it to have. Instead it was more of a veggie platter. Even a diner has better food. Went here for dinner. Got a free glass of wine with each entree due to Yelp check in. 2 of us had the scallops, 1 had salmon, both were excellent. Unfortunately it was raining so we couldn't sit outside but the view looked incredible. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the menu on Yelp is not the actually menu. It was changed last month and is no longer a prix fixe menu. Most plates are around the $30 mark with salads in the $12-14 range and dessert around $12 as well. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT! The appetizers were OK and the drinks were fine (we were drinking wine). After waiting an hour and a half for the entrees, the food was served to us at best, luke warm! One of the orders was wrong - a salad no less! After several apologies from the "manager in training - maybe 20 yrs old, we asked for our check to be split 3 ways! We got 3 checks with a 20% gratuity added in! It took another 20 minutes for them to re-run the checks without the gratuity, and we got 3 checks - all different amounts, without them doing anything to correct the situation! The "real" manager was hiding in the back, and when she came out, did nothing to rectify the situation except take another 10 minutes to process the credit cards. We have been to several restaurants in Naples and by far this one is the absolute worst! One star is over rating this place! read more
