Okay ... had been to this place in 7-8 years when they were at their old location up the street. They have a much larger new space. The decorations were odd and all over the place. It was a pretty good atmosphere and there was live music outside at 6pm or so. We were inside and could still hear it some. The food is all over the place and more sports bar than Mexican restaurant. I ordered fajitas triple (steak, chicken, and shrimp. The platter was on a sizzling dish. The portion of meat was acceptable but as the old lady from the old Wendy's commercial said "Where's the Veggies". Im not sure if they were running low or what but honestly it was hard to find the onion or peppers. And astonishing but no rice and beans. So for the $25 or so price it was too small for all the wrong reasons. The wife wanted chicken casadilla. But it had buffalo sauce. We had a nice waiter from Romania but not sure why he didn't recommend no sauce but she wound up with shrimp & crab. Honestly I tried them and it was just weird. They were topped by some kind of yum yum type sauce.

After living in the area over six years, we decided it was time to try The Salted Rim, despite the so-so reviews. I'm so glad we did! We had a very nice experience: it's adorable inside, with a very inviting interior and strings of lights all around. We ordered margaritas and were told it was happy hour pricing, so they were $7 instead of $9. Tasty! The server brought complimentary chips and salsa - you could tell everything was fresh/homemade. For a Mexican restaurant, there are a surprising number of non-Mexican items on the menu. We both had items labeled "new" on the menu: tuna nachos and a Cajun grilled chicken sandwich served with homemade potato chips. Everything was delicious! The nachos were made with fried wontons versus corn chips - a clever decision. I forget all the toppings on my chicken sandwich, but it was all delicious. Service was quick and efficient too - we'll definitely return!

This hot day called for cold margs and chips and salsa. Great food! Great service! Arissa was super welcoming and took great care of us. The perfect place for a midday break when you don't want to deal with traffic. We are so happy we stumbled upon this spot. Highly recommend.

Great parking. Clean restaurant with lots seating (inside and out) and TVs to watch the Sunday games. The food was very good and the margaritas were amazing.

"Can we go to The Salted Rim!?" "Can we go to The Salted Rim!?" "Can we go..." Finally we did. And... well not great, but not terrible. You should know it was a Sunday and a note posted on the bathroom door way way way back in the back of the restaurant a sign said the Rim was short staffed and to be patient. So yeah service was minimal to nonexistent which is too bad because she seemed like a fine person. C'est la vie. We had the Veggie quesadilla (me) and hamburger sliders (her); we started with some Queso. One of us liked the Queso. It was too thin, too soupy and decidedly not velvety. Plus a general complaint I have: why do most restaurants serve drippy Queso or salsa and chips without providing side plates? Need we have to ask? The sliders were good. The quesadilla better than expected and were quite substantial but lacked taste, so yeah me! Our drinks were not refilled and a horrifically dirty condiments bottle did not go with much of a mea culpa. "Can we go to The Salted Rim!?" Maybe not.

This remains one of my top five spots for happy hour at the bar or dining with family, thanks to…read moremore than ten past visits showing how great it is inside or out. Here is a breakdown of my two most recent experiences. During a solo outing with a friend, we arrived just before 4 PM to grab two coveted bar stools right as happy hour began, which now starts at 4 PM instead of 3 PM. I went with my usual two happy hour pepper creek punches and paired them with the happy hour fried chicken sandwich, adding a side of very good hand-cut fries for an extra $2. The portion was large enough that I brought half of the sandwich home for lunch. Bartender Trevor offered a sample of their malty nitro center of gravity english mild draft beer (4.5% ABV), and I loved the notes of toffee, chocolate, and toasted bread so much that I ended my dinner with two full glasses. Thanks to excellent service from bartenders Bill and Trevor, my solo total came out to a reasonable $36 before tip. On my next visit, I brought my family of four on a Wednesday around 6 PM. We were instantly accommodated at booth table 53 on the right side of the restaurant. They had recently updated their regular menu, and I decided to try the Korean beef bowl for $24, which features soy marinated sliced steak, vegetables, greens, an umami glaze, a fried egg, and spicy mayo served over basmati rice. Our server, Cate J., took wonderful care of us, and the total bill for the family was $152 excluding gratuity. Whether for happy hour or dinner, we will absolutely keep coming back.

With a bright bold colors and stunning architecture, the restaurant stands out on the corner. A huge mural of Delaware beckons the local purity. Inside you are greeted by huge brewing equipment in a two story grand dining room, filled with happy families and bustling servers! We always order takeout and they graciously save close parking spots for carryout orders. The online ordering allows for easy modifications and simple ordering. We grabbed a smorgasbord of flavors and made the entire family happy. The Fried Chicken meal comes with famous Delaware chicken and some fun twists of Gochuchang sauce and honey butter rolls. The fried food traveled well and is expertly packaged. On their website, they advertise Beer Battered Shrimp - and by simply calling in, the manager was able to add an order to our meal! Simple entrees. Bold flavors. Definitely a place worth frequenting on your Bethany Beach vacations.

Beware of bugs in the food and horrible service!!!…read more We had been huge fans of the Summer Salts/Flip Flops restaurant brand for years. We had been long time customers. Not any longer. Tonight we were there to celebrate the end of summer and my son's upcoming birthday. My daughter ordered the children's pasta. To our absolute horror, there was a beetle/roach in her food. When we informed the owner of the situation, rather than apologize or try to make it right, he was very confrontational. He informed me it was just a fly (it certainly was not!), and was incredibly rude. Having spent time in the restaurant industry, I could not believe the treatment we received. Regardless of the kind of bug, berating a customer whose child just received tainted food, is really bad form. A simple apology and trying to make things right would have solved things. Instead, I received a lecture on how it couldn't possibly be anything other than a fly, and that they can't do anything about that. There was zero concern for the situation or their customers at all. I am so disappointed
