What an amazing place. Had blackened shrimp tacos and sliders both were delicious. The staff and owner Tia were very friendly and welcoming. Do yourself a favor and stop by this local treat!

We were in town for the MDW holiday and were looking for a close and walkable restaurant from our hotel and we found a winner! We also totally lucked out without having a reservation and got two seats at the bar. The hostess was super nice and gave us plenty of time before a reservation was due at 7pm. Shout out to the two, super-awesome bartenders who made our dinner even more enjoyable. For a small restaurant, it seemed like they made 1000 drinks while we had dinner! I wish my phone didn't die and I would have had more pictures. But I'll tell you that the food here is amazing and you can see they really put a lot of work and care into every single ingredient. My husband even noticed the micro cilantro in the carrot tahini hummus! The ingredients are all busting with flavors. I had the swordfish, which was brown butter basted and very tasty and prepared with caramelized baby turnips & fennel- so good! My husband even noticed enjoyed his caesar and steak salad and we both ate every last drop. While we were kinda in the heat of everything.. busy bar and right next to the kitchen, the energy in the restaurant was amazing and you could tell the whole restaurant was working hard for the busy holiday crowd. I'm grateful we got those two seats at the bar. 14 Global is a wonderful restaurant with a scrumptious and ecletic coastal cuisine. Next time I will definitely make a reservation!

A trip to the beach isn't complete without a visit to our favorite spot! There are some new menu items but the quality is still the same. Delicious!!!! Excellent service as always and great spot for family dining. Love the kids menu...the chef definitely out a lot of thoughts into accommodating the little diners. Can't wait until next time!

Hit up 14 Global for tapas and drinks with some friends and boy, it did not disappoint!!!! I was shocked to find such quality fine dining tapas on the beach! The flavors were amazing and the vibes of the place were so fun. The service was fast and the waitress's knowledge was extensive. We appreciated being accommodated as a big group!

Best meal of our week stay in the Rehobeth area. We will absolutely be back to 14 global and highly recommend this restaurant. Everything from the service, to the food presentations, the beverage selections and preparation, and to the ingredients, flavor profiles. WOW!!!!. This was the World Series home run of food for us. Out of all the places we've been and this is our second trip down to the Rehoboth area. This clearly is the number one on our list. So you're probably wondering what we had, I'll keep it light, just realize you need to go to experience it first yourself. For our drinks, I had the dragon- and squeezed lime, agave nectar, global habanero infused, El Velo tequila, orange cordial, red alla, salted rim and habanero on top and my wife enjoyed her glass of rosé wine. We started off with the beats and blue salad - roasted red and yellow beets, pickled berries, arugula, watermelon, radish, shallot, whipped, herb, goat cheese, supersede, crunch, basil, mint vinaigrette, it was outstanding, and what a beautiful presentation. Next, we ordered the Mexican Street corn gnocchi - ahi Amarillo and sweetcorn cream fire, roasted poblanos, baby tomatoes, charred, corn, relish, cotija, and micro cilantro, again outstanding and a beautiful presentation. Next, we ordered the harissa lamb chops, cooked medium rare - ras el hanout rubbed lamb, fennel, purée, lemony, mint cabbage, apricot and white raisin chutney and micro cilantro, this dish blew us away. The flavor profile was incredible, and then meat was so tender. And to wrap up our incredible dining experience, we ordered the Togarashi Hamachi Tataki- buttery, seared fish citrus, Ponzo vinaigrette, ginger, horseradish, aïoli, green papaya, watermelon, radish and fennel salad, green onion, toasted, sesame, and micro wasabi again this was outstanding. Don't blame me if you start drooling upon looking at my food photos This is a must experience place

We had reservations for an early dinner at 14 global. We arrived with a 3 year old at 5:15 and were told our table was not ready. We waited for 15 minutes before our table was ready. There were other open tables in a quiet environment but the manager denied the suggestion from the host to rearrange guests for that evening. We ordered our food immediately after sitting down and the flavors and textures were good. From the look of it, we were unsure if the chicken was fully cooked my husband still ate it. My toddler had the pasta kids dish (with peas and corn) which she loved. The crispy cauliflower was a little bland but my 3 year old also liked it and I ended up dipping it in the street corn gnocchi sauce. There were some spicy peppers in the gnocchi dish but overall very good. I wished that there were roasted corn in there to make those flavors really pop. I did ask to omit the cilantro so maybe the flavors would be better for someone who is not cilantro-adverse. The coconut corn bread was gluten free and vegetarian and tasted more like a sweet cake. Everyone enjoyed it. We ended up taking chocolate tortes to go and enjoyed them on the playground across the street after my toddler became restless at her seat at the table. I really appreciated that their menu listed gluten free and vegetarian items and would likely give it another try if we were in town again (and probably follow the server's recommendations for what's the best menu items).

This place was a hidden gem in Bethany Beach! I can't believe I've run by it so many times without stopping in. We came in on a Saturday and were initially drawn to the extensive cocktail menu. The cocktails are all citrus-based, which is something I haven't ever seen before at a bar/restaurant. I ordered the Naked in the Desert cocktail, which was basically a spicy tequila sort of drink that was fruity and delicious. The kick was incredibly strong at first and then subsided. My husband ordered an old-fashioned style cocktail which he also loved. Both drinks were very strong! The food is tapas style and is meant to be shared. We loved the ahi tuna dip, the Brussels with pork belly and the pumpkin pone bread (which reminded us of French toast). The lamb chops were also super flavorful and tasty. Would have loved to get dessert but was so stuffed. Can't wait to return!

It's been many months since my husband and I had a date night out without little ones and we were fortunate enough to visit 14 Global while on summer vacation recently. The menu intrigued me and wasn't sure if my better half would be as eager to eat here as he is not as adventurous as I and he wanted to have a water view. Delighted to report that this was one of the best culinary experiences we've had in many years. We didn't at all miss a water view. The menu, ambiance, decor, service, music are all well orchestrated and executed to thoughtfully provide a superior experience. The service was well timed, kind and professional. The outdoor patio was casual yet intimate. Sadly, we could not try everything on the menu. Every *single *bite was brilliant. Balance of flavors, quality of ingredients and presentation was impeccable. Our top favorite sharables were the lamb chops and scallops. The Brazilian Caipirinha was to die for, both the passion fruit and açaí cocktails. Manager was exceptionally kind when we waited a little bit for the last plate. We really enjoyed our meal here and feel like it's part of our core date night memories... a new standard for us I suppose :) Thank you, 100% recommend and will most certainly return. A very special meal indeed.

Been trying to visit 14 Global for a few summers and for whatever reason we never had the opportunity. We were definitely missing out. We were welcomed in immediately and seated at a very nice table. Everyone ordered drinks. Of note, I had the Twisted Whiskers (a take on Old Hat Gin) and my son had the most amazing Shirley Temple I have ever seen. From there Riley took us on quite the ride through the menu. We enjoyed: The Ahi Tuna Tartare -- This is a special dish with a very hidden, yet welcoming bite The Fried Goat Cheese Balls -- Wow -- Just Wow!! The Lamb Chops -- Perfectly seasoned and cooked. They really melted in your mouth. Mexican Street Corn Gnocchi -- What a parade of flavors. This could be my new go to comfort food. 14 Global was a great experience and cannot wait to visit again.

We had reservations last night 14 global with our good friends for dinner and it was delicious! The restaurant has some unique menu offerings with something to please everyone. They offer a variety of options including apps, entrees and shareable items. They have a bunch of cocktails and beers to choose from too. So we started out with a couple of cocktails, both of which were delicious. I had their Pineapple Pico, which had a pineapple and strawberry pico on top and served in a fun pineapple glass. For our meal we went with the fried goat cheese balls, Mexican street corn gnocchi, and grilled steak mini beach tacos. Everything we had was pretty good and kept us coming back for more. The goat cheese balls were very creamy and came with some drizzled honey to give them some sweetness. The gnocchi was definitely unique but tasted great in the corn cream sauce. And you can never go wrong with a taco, so these were delicious and would be an easy item to order again on our next visit. Our friends also had some duck wings, crab dip, and yellow fin tuna. I sampled everything but the wings, and can attest those dishes were good as well. The service was quick and the dining experience was great. We just can't wait to make it back to sample more items. Make a reservation and you will be treated to a great meal!

There are several items that are or can be made vegetarian. I would ask them to leave out some ingredients. They're always accommodating.

Review for Heidaway - Bethany Beach, DE…read more It was the weekend after Memorial Day 2025--when the beach is still buzzing, but you can actually find parking and order a drink without elbowing someone in a straw hat. We rolled into Bethany Beach to kick off our summer, minus the chaos, and Heidaway was the first place that pulled us in with a wink and a steel drum beat. Right on the edge of the boardwalk, this place has big tropical energy. Think Key West meets Delaware--palm fronds, sea breeze, and the gentle background hum of fun. The outdoor seating is shaded but still breezy, like Mother Nature knows you want SPF without sweating through your shirt. And the music? Bright, beachy, and setting the scene for "yes, we are on vacation, thank you." Service? On point. From the friendly hostess to our magical waitress who somehow knew when we needed napkins, another round, or just a smile--everyone brought their A-game. No tourist trap vibes here. Just good, solid hospitality. Cocktails: We kicked off with a Moscow Mule, chilled in a classic copper mug and strong enough to make you forget your group chat's been blowing up since Tuesday. Spicy, refreshing, and just boozy enough to remind you you're off the clock. And the second drink? Let's call it the Mystery Mai Tai of Joy. We don't remember what was in it. We just know it was tropical, delicious, and made us say "we should move here" at least twice. The Food: Oysters Rockefeller - Baked to perfection, smothered in a creamy, herby sauce and topped with crispy breadcrumbs. The kind of dish that makes you lean back in your chair and toss your plate at a fireplace (if they had one) Lobster Roll & Fries - A buttery masterpiece. Generous chunks of lobster, golden toasted roll, and fries that nailed the crispy-soft ratio. They didn't hold back with the portions, and we didn't hold back either. Beet Salad - A beachy surprise hit. Sweet roasted beets, creamy goat cheese spread, and peppery arugula doing a power pose on the plate. It made us feel like we were balancing out the rest of the meal... even if dessert was already a foregone conclusion. If you're heading to Bethany and want to dodge the madness while still soaking up summer magic, Heidaway is a great spot. Come for the drinks, stay for the oysters, and let the ocean breeze convince you that everything is right in the world--even if only until Monday.

The highlights (and lowlights): The service was awful: We arrived at 5:17 and were seated at 5:22. Drinks took 26 minutes to deliver and the order was wrong. My FiL clearly asked for a Pinot Grigio, but a Sangria was delivered. Cody, the server*, politely repeated that he ordered the Sangria, but that did not happen (my FiL drinks only dry wines). We waited to toast my in-laws anniversary, but had to wait another 7-8 minutes for the correct glass of wine to be delivered. There is no attention to detail in the dining room. The staff are on island time. The first appetizer arrived at 6:08--46 minutes after we sat down! At 6:20, I bussed our table. (After dinner, I bussed our table a second time). Even trying to pay the check Cody was MIA. He came by the table perhaps six times from 5:22-6:45. *There seems to be a lot of summer hires here--folks that want to hang out at the beach, but need to work to pay the rent. The training has be to incredibly minimal. I would guess no family meal, no 5-minute daily wine pairing rundown...basically no front of the house training. When the customer has to stack dirty plates and get a busboy's attention to grab them TWICE...not good, especially for the prices at Off the Hook. The food was quite hit or miss. The good: the crab bisque was excellent...really amazing! The scallop appetizer was also delicious with a base of grits and bacon underneath. However... The bad: we wanted to share the scallop appetizer and asked Cody how many scallops came with that. He said "three". The app was delivered with TWO scallops (Yes...TWO scallops for $19). They were not huge scallops...so 16/20 count. Wholesale, $18 a pound, less than a dollar each. To charge $19 for an appetizer with TWO scallops? Wow! The dish cost perhaps $3.25. A bottle of wine that retails for $15 is $30 in a restaurant. I get it, but marking up TWO scallops with some grits to $19 is insane. I asked the manager about the missing scallop. He advised that the entree came with three scallops--the app two. The entree was $39!! $39 for three scallops! If these were U/8 or U/15 scallops, I maybe could see it, but two 16/20 scallops for $19 and three for $39 is nuts. The pappardelle (appetizer portion) was completely flavorless. It was not cooked with any salt and pepper. It tasted like buttered noodles you find on a kid's menu. Adding salt and pepper (at the table) did little to fix it. My wife's pappardelle entree was equally bland. She tried mine; I tried hers. She looked right at me and said "There is no seasoning on this!". My thought exactly. My FiL had the salmon. He reported that it was tasty. While it was cooked well, $35 for an approximately 5 oz portion is again nuts. As a local, I really wanted to enjoy this meal. It was an anniversary dinner for my in-laws. $260 for four people with bad service and hit-or-miss food and the portions described is not good. I'm not a tourist. Lastly, I cannot forget to mention the FLIES. This is an INSIDE, white tablecloth dining establishment with $30-40 entrees, NOT a beachfront bar. 3-4 houseflies, accompanied by a gnat, joined us for dinner. Crazy. Bethany Beach, Delaware has limited options for dining and cars lined up 100 deep on the main road into town. This can be the only explanation for Off the Hook being so busy, so often. Tourists from NYC and Philadelphia don't bat an eye at paying $39 for three scallops. I don't know what other explanation makes sense.

Our first visit took place on Mother's Day around 4:00 PM. Because brunch was still being served and dinner didn't begin until 4:15 PM, I booked a table for two, and we passed the time at the bar. We caught some live music while I enjoyed a $16 Maker's Mark Manhattan before settling the bar tab. Once dinner service opened at 4:15 PM, we were seated inside at table 45 to escape a breezy outdoor deck. It turned out to be the debut day for their new menu. I ordered another $16 Maker's Mark Manhattan and the $36 seafood stew--a rich combination of fish, clams, shrimp, fennel, pepper, onion, Spanish chorizo, and tomato seafood broth accompanied by grilled bread. It was a generous portion, so I brought the remaining stew home to enjoy later that evening. To conclude the meal, I tried the Lucky 7 porter from Evolution Craft Brewing Company ($7), which featured dark dried fruit and sweet toffee tones balanced by notes of chocolate, coffee, and smoke. Our server, Brendan V., did an excellent job caring for us and demonstrated great knowledge of the new menu, even while managing a large outdoor table with five children. Our total bill for that evening came to $114, excluding gratuity. We returned on Memorial Day for a second dinner, this time in a group of five that included family and a friend visiting from Scottsdale, AZ. Since the outdoor fire tables were completely full, we secured a table on the left side of the restaurant. I began with a spicy mango margarita for $14, which featured tequila, mango, lime, agave, jalapeno, and a tajin rim, and opted for the $36 seafood stew once again. Unfortunately, the cocktails were inconsistent this time; I ordered a Maker's Mark Manhattan up, but it tasted like watered-down bourbon. When a second Manhattan tasted exactly the same, I decided to cancel the order. Nevertheless, our server Nadine K. provided excellent service throughout the evening, and our bill came out to $92 before gratuity. Ultimately, we all agreed that we would gladly visit again.
