If I could get this place, no stars I would and now I see why their ratings are so terrible. I normally go to the UPS store off Poinsettia next to my gym, but I was trying to get my stuff sent so I can get my Amazon refund and re-purchased something and what a mistake that was they couldn't have been more unpleasant or more rude and one of the packages. I forgot to print the label so I asked if they could print it for me to which they responded that it was a three dollar charge to watch my jaw hit the floor I said are you serious? He said I'm not kidding and I said I'm not paying that. He said you can take your shit and go literally that's what was said to me and I said oh don't worry I will and I will not be back avoid the store at all cost. It's honestly worth making the trip up to CARLSBAD. They're an absolute joy to deal with. read more

Not surprised to see horrible reviews on yelp for this UPS location because the owner is extremely rude. Wanted to charge me $2 to put a piece of tape on the top of the box! And I told him I didn't bring money on me bc I had a prepaid shipping label already and didn't know I had to pay for anything extra. Instead of just letting me have a piece of tape after driving all the way there he told me to go to another location!!!! Wow! I've never been treated like this by UPS before. Going back to the Del Mar ups where they are beyond kind, helpful, and will gladly tape up any box for me. I visited a UPS location that I had never been to before. I was shipping a concrete pot, and the representative charged me an additional $33 for packaging, over and above the shipping cost. My customer received the pot today, and it was shattered. I do not recommend this store. The Del Mar location is much more friendly and knowledgeable. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The Asian guy who I presume is the owner is an absolute ass-hat. Completely rude and dismissive when I came in with a prepaid UPS label to ship an item. I have utilized this store a lot over the years and since he came onboard the service has really suffered. The teens that work there are all really nice and helpful so this review in no way a reflection on them. This guy and his salty attitude has forced me to take my business elsewhere. Came here for notary with an appointment online, the owner Jay heard about my mistyping on my paper, tried to help me fix it on his computer since the store only has printing service but not editing. Knowing that I have to head home for editing, he patiently waited for us to come back and helped me and another customer for notary that day. Highly recommend this location for service, sometimes the waiting line could be long but he allows people who only drop off the package and ask for no receipt to jump the line and leave the package. When it's our turn, he asked us if it's okay to take care the lady who's behind us first since the notary is slow and she's only drop off something. I saw many other reviews and I don't relate that to the man we met. Thanks to Jay for his help on our notary service, will definitely be back in the future. read more

This store is below the 1 star mark if that is even possible. We have taken several items including Amazon returns in and have received terrible service by the owner that is inconsistent with other UPS locations. Several straightforward Amazon returns were turned away. Most recently I brought in an Amazon return with code in the original box and the owner charged me $2 for one strip of packing tape. Given there are so many other close UPS stores I will recommend staying away from this one and seeking another location with some care for their customers. read more

Maybe I've just been lucky in the past, but the box with my return has always been sealed as a courtesy for me at the UPS Store. This trip, I needed about 24 inches of sealing tape instead of the usual 12 inches. I was told that the extra 12 inches of tape was too much tape to seal my box as a courtesy this time. So, I could pay to have the person at the counter put the tape on the box for $3.00, or I could buy a tiny roll of tape for $6.15. I bought the tiny roll of tape. And, I realized I would never be using this UPS Store again. There are plenty to choose from. read more

Beyond shocked at the way I was treated . I have been coming to this location for years and on occasion I have needed my boxes to be taped . I have never had a problem so I assumed it wasn't a requirement , until today .. I don't know if this man is the owner but I assume he was because he was having his nice son help him in the store but he was so incredibly rude for no reason . I walked in asked very nice that I just need my 2 small boxes with pre paid labels to be taped and sent off and he rudely looks at me and tells me I need to tape them with this rude smirk and attitude. My response " oh I didn't know , you guys usually tape them and from now on I'll do so " Once again , looks at my .. picks up my packages and says are these your packages .. then I'm telling you , you need to tape them " I was so shocked this was happening over TAPE !!!! I ended grabbing my boxes and will from now take them to a different location . Let's not mention this location takes forever & the line is always out the door . Carrie charged me 3$ to print one black and white shipping label , I reluctantly paid it because I didn't want to drive home to print it myself but they should be ashamed of themselves for overcharging customers. I rarely write reviews but I immediately got in my car and wrote yours in your parking lot. I came in with a smile and a friendly hello. No one else was in the store. Woman there just looked at with an annoyed look, like I was bothering her. I put the box I was returning down and said "let me find my QR code, I had it pulled up but it went away" and I sort of chuckled. I was already feeling extremely uncomfortable because it was obvious she did not want me there. The tension was thick. When I handed her the phone with the QR code, that's when she finally decided to acknowledge me with words and made the snide remark about I should know the box should be taped. That is also when 2-3 more people came in and were waiting behind me. She said very rudely as though I was an idiot, and I quote " you know when it says return needs to be packaged that includes tape" and kept rolling her eyes and huffing about how she can not put tape on the box for people and we should all know this. Not having any tape on me, I asked  "can you not put a piece of tape on it since I don't have any with me?" she huffed again, rolled her eyes and proceeded to berate me about it and told me that "the owner wants her to charge five dollars for a piece of tape". By this time I was boiling mad at just how blatantly rude she was being for absolutely no reason. I did nothing to her but be friendly. But I was done being friendly. I said fine I'll go get you five dollars and Came back with the $50 bill as it's all I had. She literally had the nerve to roll her eyes when I handed it to her and give me an exasperated "SERIOUSLY??".  Then she refused to take it (because I assume she was pissed she couldn't break it) and dismissively told me to "JUST FORGET IT BUT NEXT TIME TAPE UP YOUR BOX" By this time I couldn't even speak for fear if I opened my mouth I would completely go off on her. So I snatched my return receipt from her hand and walked out as quick as I could. If you want to charge people who don't know that they have to have tape five dollars for one piece of tape, I think that's bad business, but that's entirely up to you. That alone would not have stopped me from using your store, I'd just be sure to tape the box first. The issue for my anger is I came in with a smile on my face and treated her with human kindness and decency. And I was met with total disdain and disrespect simply because I made the unforgivable mistake of showing up and then God forbid not knowing that the top of the box had to be taped. This woman has absolutely no business working with the public ... and I know she's done this before because I saw it on your reviews. I'm not one to complain about employees, but this woman absolutely deserves to be called out and I for one will not be returning to your store as long as she's working there. there's plenty of places to go where my smile will be met with a smile and my kindness will be met with kindness. I'm too grown to give my business to someone who acts as though they're doing ME a favor by taking my business. It was Saturday so I had started my day late and that was my first stop. She literally ruined the entire rest of my day by being so mean for absolutely no reason. I realize employees are hard to find, but in my opinion, you'd better off closing on Saturday rather then having somebody be the face of the store who is literally chasing your customers away with her horrible attitude. And for the record I have used your services many times, my daughter is in school in Europe. I have shipped there many times from your store. Not anymore. Side note: A few months back I went to the UPS store in Encinitas, completely unaware that the return I had required packing, I was met with a smile and friendly hello, and was even complimented on my outfit. When she realized it needed to be packed she offered me an empty box another customer had just left. She taped it for me and even let me email her my return label so she could print it for me. All not necessary but she did it anyway because she's a good person and provides good service. I think I'll be driving a few extra miles to that store from now on, not only for my returns (which from here on out will always be tape) but also for my expensive shipments to Europe. read more

From printing needs to shipping needs to Notary Public needs to mailbox needs and more, they can help you with any questions you might have. They take the time to explain effectively and find the solution that works best for you. Seriously great customer service at this location. I have been coming here for over a year now and they strive to know each customer by name or at least by face. Parking is a little rough. There is a parking lot in the back if you go down the little driveway between the UPS Store and the nail salon next door. There are other diagonal parking spots along Hwy 101, but if backing up into traffic and potential cyclists makes you nervous, you may not want to park in these spots. read more

Jay who works here is extremely rude and unhelpful. I was the only person in the store and he proceeded to ignore me while he struggled to put a shipping label in an envelope and on a package before acknowledging me. Once I told him I was there to pick up a package, he asked for my ID, barely looked in the corner at some boxes and simply said "I don't have it." I proceeded to tell him the tracking number which confirmed delivery to this location 3 days prior and his response was the same, "I don't have it." He then told me to call the 800 number to file a claim and provided no other support or made any effort to try and locate my package. Avoid having anything shipped here at all costs. read more

I called to inquire how much it was to scan black & white. The price was $1 per page. I had 36 pages which would've been $36. The UPS store in Del Mar charges .25 cents per scanned page for $9 which is the exact same service. I'd rather save the $27 and go to the UPS store in Del Mar. read more

As i see everyones recent reviews I guess im not the only one. Older female lady was the rudest . My package that i dropped off is no where to be found and she said theres nothing they can do about it. I had called 2 days prior to walking in there and was told I could go in and they would help me. So either the person who answered the phone was just trying to be nice but knew they werent going to help me or the lady just didnt want to help. She gave me an attitude the whole time i was trying to explain to her and seemed to not care. I told her the person on the phone said "his boss" would be able to help me when i came in . Which i let the lady know and she pointed at the guy next to her and said hes the boss and hes going to tell you the samething that i just told you. Will never go there again. I will never be going back to this UPS store ever again. Went in today with an Amazon return. Two big and heavy boxes. Waited in line and when I got the front of the line, the owner said I needed to tape the box closed. Amazon advised me to leave the top open because sometimes they need to see inside to make sure it's the item on the return. He wouldn't take the box unless it was taped. He also said he would tape it for $2 each box. I still can't believe he didn't take the boxes. Out if principal I left and will be driving further now to another UPS Store. Customer service is horrible here. It would have taken two pieces of tape for each box. read more
