Family run Chinese restaurant that opened in 1965 with mom & son cooking. Daughter & daughter in law are at the counter and serving. I had the string beans and loved my dish. With their homemade chili sauce it was excellent. Probably one of the best things I've had in a while at a restaurant. The beef was cooked perfectly and also very tasty. The egg foo young was also very good. Gravy is yellow and didn't add much flavor but also didn't distract from how good the egg foo young is. Leaned they don't use bean sprouts which creates a crunchy patty. The sweet-and-sour pork was super crunchy to the point that you really couldn't taste the pork and the pork fried rice was on the dry side. We got there just before closing which may have been the reason. The Hubbs & I enjoyed the pork chow mein but my brother thought the crunchy salad type noodles odd. I'm thinking he just didn't care for the bean sprouts. Was staying at a hotel and still took my left over string beans dish to go and ate my leftovers the next day! Even microwaved it was delicious. Portions are HUGE, prices low and very tasty, Bonus they make their sauces and chili sauce. I loved the hot mustard which had an in your face horse radish and elevated the fried foods. As usual the food was wonderful. They use fresh vegetables, not frozen. They also make their own chili sauce, in huges batches. If you are the type that loves the burn, be brave and go for hot. But I warn you their hot is about double the heat of almost everywhere else. (Even Mexican food). read more

I really wanted to like this place as it was highly recommended . I ordered takeout and got bbq pork, potstickers , broccoli in oyster sauce, moo shoo chicken and black pepper shrimp. Where do I begin .. The bbq pork was by far the worst thing. It was so dry and flavorless I took two bites and gave the rest to my dog. Potstickers were just OK- nothing special. I liked the flavor of the shrimp but they were pretty rubbery in texture . The moo shoo chicken looked thrown together - tasted OK. And finally the broccoli was drowned in so much sauce it seemed like frozen broccoli. I had high hopes for this place but I'll never be coming back. When I asked her about delivery she was like well we don't do delivery we never have. And I told her well then you might want to take that off your website. Delicious authentic Chinese cuisine. Hole in the wall with a huge parking area alongside other businesses in an L shape strip mall type vibe. Small restaurant with about 9 tables of 4 seats each. Tiny front entrance with a couple chairs for waiting in. The workers are quick and knowledgeable as they are all family / close friends I believe. If you don't know what to get they will gladly tell you what would be good and they didnt disappoint. I wanted a noodle dish so I thought I'd get the lo mein but she told me I would probably like the Chinese noodles more and explained what was in it and how it was cooked. I got my plate (and it was large- she gave me tongs so I could share with my family & group if needed). It was so good and exactly what I had hoped to eat. They were pan fried noodles with chicken (protein of choice) some cabbage, broccoli, peas, mushrooms, and onions. It was so delicious, filling, and plenty to share & take home as well. We also got the lemon chicken with rice. My husband really enjoyed that. The egg flour soup was just okay. Lacked much flavor for me. We got lots of chicken & chive potstickers for the table. They are handmade daily and FULL of filling. They are filling & tasty. It comes with a special sauce and there's also soy sauce on the tables. We also got some sweet and sour sauce for dipping. They are very friendly, kind, and helpful for us & the kids in the group. Despite the small building and close tables it was a good time. It does get quite loud in there with all the people. So keep that in mind. Bringing young kids may not be people's first choice there as they don't have kid menus, crayons etc type things, nor did we see high chairs (they may have them in back?) We didn't ask- but all tables are just standard chairs so can be a little tippy for younger kids. They also didn't have straws for the water and just the glass / hard plastic cups which was also a little tricky for the young kids. They have some cool chopstick adapters that are reusable we got to take home for our kids and they loved being able to use those at dinner. They also brought them out some cute divided kids plates to use. Our picky eater ate and tried everything and loved it all as well. We loved how kind the staff was and they really do treat you like family. We haven't been here in YEARS, but I was craving their potstickers and trying new things off the menu as well didnt disappoint. We will be back much sooner this time. We've lived in the River Road area for many years & dined at Twin Dragon frequently in the past. Thought I'd try it again and was extremely disappointed. I ordered the Chicken Moo Shu & Shrimp Chow Don. Both were over-cooked. The shrimp in the Chow Don was dry and the Moo Shu was burnt to the point where that's the only flavor I could taste. The chicken was completely shredded and had no flavor except burnt. Once I got home and tried a few bites, I called the restaurant back & told them the Moo Shu was burned. The staff tried to tell me that having burned flakes in the food was the Cantonese style of wok cooking. Not going back to Twin Dragon. read more

It is really really sad that they don't deliver. It may be that they don't need the extra business possibly? The potstickers are chicken, so they are always full and plump. I have hated Chinese food for as long as I can remember. Think about something you hate because your parents made you eat it all the damn time as a kid. For me that was pork and Chinese food. Now I don't exactly go out of my way to eat either one. My husband enjoys Chinese food though, and is always trying to get me to eat more of it. Well, after about three years of flat refusing, I decided to give it a try again. Three years is enough time to cancel out all the bad memories, right? Maybe, but I figured I would give it a try. We discovered this place in the middle of the plague when everything was shut down and we were looking for more local businesses to discover, support, and enjoy. That's when we found this little gem. I've driven by this place about a million times and never even thought to stop in, but always knew it was there. I'm glad we finally decided to give it a try! It is the standard stereotypical Americanized Chinese food, and it works. If you want authentic, this isn't the place for you. If you want the standard American version, this has been my favorite so far. Due to the plague and shutdowns, I've never actually eaten inside the restaurant, only done to-to orders that we pick up and bring home. So I have no opinion on the restaurant itself. The food is good though. Like I said, Americanized Chinese food, but they do it well, and are pretty consistent. Portion size is good. I usually have leftovers, and I appreciate that. My favorite thing here is the barbecued pork. With some spicy mustard and sesame seeds, I'm a happy little fat kid! My standard go-to meal is a combination plate with sweet and sour chicken, chow mien, and fried rice. Usually we get the barbecue pork as an appetizer, and then the egg drop soup. Customer service has always been good, and they are very friendly, even in the middle of everything being shut down, they were still kind and friendly, and I know that constantly changing rules was really challenging for a lot of small local businesses. Would I return? Yep. I rediscovered I don't mind Chinese food nearly as much as I once did, thanks to Twin Dragon. I appreciate that it is a small local business we could support when they needed it the most. I do wish it was a bit closer to home, but that hasn't stopped me from going here yet. read more

The outside is very deceiving and made me a bit unsure what it would be like, but once we walked inside, it was very tastefully decorated and quaint. This place is quint essential when it comes to Chinese American flair, it's also one of the longest standing restaurants in Eugene. Ive been driving past this place for years, and I'm really bummed out I didn't try it sooner. I would have to say it's one of the hidden gems or River Road. It looks unsuspecting and a total dive, holy shit man. You can feel the love inside this place. I don't think I have a need to go any where else to get my Chinese fix. If you are looking for Eugene's hidden gem look no further, this is the spot for Chinese food. It is family owned, and they make their food with love, and passion. I had forgot about how much I liked their food until recently. I used to go here years ago with family. I'm not sure why we stopped. I think I lived on the other side of town. Fast forward to now....we started ordering a few different dishes. General Tsao's, black pepper beef, chicken lo mien noodles, and crispy egg foo young. The general tsao's is definitely one of the best in town, so full of flavor, and you can tell fresh chicken. The black peppered beef we get medium spice, it is really delicious. The lo mien noodles are not your average lo mien. They are better. Just a little crisp on them, which makes them perfect before adding the protein with sauce....the noodles come separate from the veggies, and protein with sauce to add on top of the lo mien. It's perfect that way you don't get a soggy noodle. The egg foo young are also phenomenal, and epic size. Very crunchy as well. Not your average "egg roll" it is more like a veggie hot pocket. Service was great and so was the food. 1st time here. We enjoyed everything ordered. Black Pepper Shrimp was a little messy but worth it. Take your time peeling the shrimp. It forces you to slow down and enjoy the meal. Twin Dragon Appetizer was pretty good. The Egg Roll and Mar Far Chicken we my favorites. We also ordered the Twin Dragon Special Fried Rice. Everything here is SO homemade, it's wonderful. It has a personal, real kitchen touch to all the food. We've tried so many menu items, and ALL of them have been good. Haven't had a stinker yet. Special recommendations: CHINESE STYLE CHOW MEIN (vegetable) is some of the best noodles and veggies you'll ever have. Great grill flavor. As a couple, my husband and I love to eat Chinese food. We just moved to Eugene a couple of weeks ago so we are on the hunt for our new "go-to" place for Chinese. Unfortunately I don't think this will be it, unless nothing else turns out to be better. It wasn't that bad but it just wasn't wowing. Just your typical American-Chinese food. I called in an order for pick-up and my husband went to get it. He said it was right next to a dog groomers. I liked the egg rolls but my husband did not. The pork fried rice was fine just not a ton of flavor. And I wasn't crazy about the sweet & sour chicken or the fried shrimp (I have had way better). The prices are pretty good, for $25 we both at until we were full and have enough for us both to eat again. Bottom line is I will keep hunting for better Chinese food but I won't count this place out just yet. read more
