Loved the setup here: order at the counter, grab a seat, and wait for your buzzer to go off. Simple and efficient. Our food took about ten minutes or so to arrive, which felt right for freshly made tacos. I got corn tortillas and my friend got flour. We both had steak and loved them. Street parking.

One of my favorite places to go when I visit Richmond. The food is absolutely delicious. This Mexican restaurant is Jalisco style serving up an incredible diverse offering of food and drinks. Some of my favorites include the Cochi Loco Taco, the Birria Quesadilla, Carne Asada Fries, and I love their chips and queso. They also serve different flavors of agua fresca, and an amazing assortment of fresh fruity cocktails. Everything is aesthetically pleasing, and the looks match the food. I also love that they have a salsa bar where I can serve myself different type of salsa and peppers and onions, etc. The atmosphere is fast paced, but kind of exciting. It's really packed in there pretty much any time you go so keep that in mind It's not a place that you could really bring a bag or relax and work or have a solo date. It's really a place to hang out with friends and have a good time

Stop here for tacos with my son and though it Was not what I expected the food was great. I was looking for a sit down and someone takes my order but you order your food pay and you get it when it's done. Inside and patio seating. Very busy with consistent traffic. We sat at the wrong area cause ppl were moving all around. I would try this place again but it the summer and sit in a corner and not the middle of the restaurant. The tacos were really good and full with flavor

So good! They are almost always packed but the food still comes out quick and located in such a good spot, plenty of indoor and outdoor dining.

Cochiloco is probably the BEST Mexican that I've had in Richmond. This casual eatery offers a vibrant bustling ambiance and they have some of the most flavorful tacos I've ever had. Located in Scotts Addition, this bustling spot has outdoor seating, tons of indoor. I tried the carne asada tacos and those were okay. The star of the show is definitely their Cochiloco tacos. They are a little expensive for one taco but they are bursting with flavor. Their Margs are also really good. Definitely recommend

Every single time I step into Cochiloco, I begin to levitate and a beer magically appears in my hand with two chicken tacos and some chips. I am mesmerized by the grip this restaurant has on my life. Every time I step foot in Scott's addition, I need to eat some tacos. The food comes so quick and the crowd is great. I love their big beers

To make a long story short -- Cochiloco is a really fun vibe. I have to say I really appreciate their branding and overall aesthetic. The space has great energy, and the patio area adds a nice touch. It can get pretty busy in there, so just keep that in mind when you go it can get a little packed depending on the time. But honestly, it's worth it. Me and my girlfriend ordered the carne asada tacos, and they were solid and hit the mark. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu. This was a pretty good first experience as a whole .

Talk about teleporting to Miami. Came here for a late night taco and it was a true vibe in there. From their drink combos (the horchata cocktail had CORN liquor). It was absolutely amazing. The food was also PHENOMENAL. I WILL CERTAINLY BE BACK. People were in there just having a good time off their own vibe and the culture was VIBRANT. They definitely have gotten it figured out. They also have an outside bar.

TLDR; delicious authentic tacos with a fun vibe! Vibes - coming here with a toddler on a Saturday night, the crowds and loud music were VERY over stimulating! That said, this fast casual restaurant is lively, the vibe is fun and the patio is great. Food - we ordered the Carne Asado Tacos, Chips and Salsa and Chociloco Tacos. Everything was delicious. Excited to come back and try more!

The food is incredible, great service, lots of energy and yummy horchata. The food itself and service is 5 stars but the only thing making my review 4 stars is the struggle for parking and it can get really crowded inside and outside. I 100% recommend checking this place out and if you're unsure what to get try out the cali fries with carne asada and horchata (total should be around $20)

Wow! We were looking for Mexican and decided to give Cochiloco a try. So glad we did. Had a quesadilla, the Cohiloco burrito, the birria tacos and an elote. Everything was delicious and food came out pretty quickly. The burrito was excellent and very filling. The tacos were very tasty too. I didn't try the quesadilla, but was told it was really good. The elote was messy, but totally worth it. We'll definitely be back. You order at the counter, but they have a full bar, plenty of soft drink choices, and a huge television screen. Parking can be tough, but that's true for everywhere in Scott's Addition. We'll definitely be back.

A cute restaurant in Scott's Addition. A little confusion as you enter because I wasn't aware that you had to order at the counter and find a seat. The staff were nice and helpful. QR codes for the menus which was nice because we found our seat in the side patio and were able to review the menu. Some of us ordered online and some went inside to order. We had margaritas, nachos and a variety of tacos. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. Ordering online was really easy and I would definitely visit again!

Really great Mexican addition to Scot's. The tacos were some of the best I've had in the city.

Amazing food. Al pastor tacos were ridiculous. Try the hot salsa - major kick but amazing taste.

I noticed the ice cream/yogurt spot nearby was hopping. There was a person asking for change outside the front door. We were greeted by an enthusiastic host and seated immediately at a booth up front. The server came by within seconds and brought us water and place settings. We decided to get the chips and salsa for an appetizer and a pair of melting chimichangas for entrees. I can't resist some chorizo and steak. My partner got the chimichanga without chorizo and with chicken. The ambiance was colorful with beautifully painted murals on each wall, and the atmosphere was undeniably loud. There were lots of patrons. The place was packed, even at the bar, so your mileage may vary. We received our orders within minutes of each other, so there wasn't much of a wait time. The chips and salsa were homemade, fresh, warm, and delicious (muy rico). Same for the entrees; exactly what I want in a Mexican food restaurant. The chorizo and steak were well-cooked, seasoned, and chopped finely, but not ground. I was in heaven with that chimichanga. We had to take home leftovers. The next night, heated in the oven at 325 for 30 minutes, they were similarly excellent. The night ended without dessert, sadly (too full). However, the server was quick and efficient, and he was always around to fill water and bring anything we needed throughout the meal. Great experience overall. We will definitely return here whenever we have a hankering for some good Mexican food at reasonable prices. I can recommend this place to anyone who appreciates hearty and filling Mexican food.

We arrived on a Thursday night around 8 o'clock at the ever daunting and strange Brown Box Plaza…read moreparking lot. There are usually spaces available, but it is a confusing parking situation. We were seated in moments of arriving after a brief walk to the door from the parking lot. The atmosphere is authentically Mexican with no shortage of bottle-related wall furnishings or decor. The stairway in the front entrance, the chandelier, and the rafter hangings are among my favorites. Our server was Don (that may be wrong, I didn't get the printed reciept before leaving), who reminded me of a professional linebacker, was soft spoken and attentive. He was there when we needed him, and out of sight when we didn't. I ordered the Empanadas and Sweet Plantains for my entree and my partner opted for the Baja Crunch Burrito. We had been here before, so knew about what to expect from the kitchen. My empanadas were light and fluffy with some delightful flavors and added peppers, compared to other Sysco-style empanadas I have had. With only two small pouches for 10 bucks, I was disappointed. The sweet plantains were cooked to perfection, a little crisp and a little smooth and creamy. Suggestion: the empanadas and plantains would make a great entree for $12-14. The crispy chicken burrito was passable. My partner said, "The rice was slightly crunchy and the burrito was not as hot and tasty as last time." We decidedly went with the churros for dessert. I cannot tell you what they put in them, but I can tell you that every bite was as exquisite as the last. Absolute legend. Our server Ben, Don, whatever your name was, you were excellent. Thank you for providing fantastic service, my fellow sour beer enthusiast. May your tips ever increase. Casa Del Barco has a curated menu, plenty of drink options, and a half-full bar on a Thursday around 9 o'clock. It seems like a great place to go to meet a few people. I know the kitchen probably just had a rough night, and the restaurant will continue to strive for the highest quality food possible; therefore, I continue to recommend Case Del Barco if you enjoy Mexican food.
