    Chorizo pizzeta
    Teresa B.

We discovered this place today and we're glad we did. My husband got the chorizo pizzeta and a beef empanada. I got the mushroom empanada and the fugazzeta empanada. Both were soooooo good. I had the good sense of getting a couple of apple empanadas for dessert. They had a crispy coating of caramelized sugar and sugar crystals. The Granny Smith apple filling tasted fresh without being too sweet. We'd love to come back and try more flavors. Highly recommend.

Cuernito con Dulce de Leche - this reminded me of an Argentinian"Factura" he made it fresh, a must have for a sweet tooth.

I got so excited seeing an Argentinian empanadas place! When we got there, we saw that it is Argentinian AND Colombian. We were told the two owners/partners, one is Argentinian and the other Colombian. Is a nice food combo. We ordered the Beef, Chicken, Ham n Cheese, & Chorizo empanadas. Husband liked the Beef, was actually very good w the traditional filling (raisins Baby!) The chicken empanada was MY fave, it just hit the spot - very Argentinian filling - I wanna say is a must try! Chorizo, we thought it tasted like pizza w sausage Ham n Cheese was OK - in my defense I was never a fan of this one as a kid. Their dough is excellent! Super delicious and perfectly baked! Yes, their empanadas are all baked. They also sell unbaked empanadas to take home, easy to do. Bathroom was clean, a lil off putting having to go thru part of the kitchen but at least the whole place looked very clean, huge points in my book for that. For any Argentinians out there or peeps in the know... they also had Mate cups w Mafalda! And yerba mate to go. We will DEFINITELY be coming back!

When visiting the Martinez Farmers Market we head directly to their booth! It's the first thing we do before any shopping. I highly recommend the Mushroom and Breakfast as a starter. All their empanadas are delicious so there's no going wrong. They have specials during the week so this week it was the Caprese, fantastic. The staff is always friendly and it's so great, the line is around the corner if you get there later in the day...also, they sell out so get there early.

Visiting Napa and was craving something savory. Found Cocina Milonga with great reviews. They were closed that day due to staffing issues. We went back the next day and glad we did. Cute storefront with what appears to be seating outside in good weather (nothing setup outside when we arrived early am) One table and some counter seating inside. Nice cozy restaurant for a snack. Huge selection of savory and sweet empanadas. We ordered a dozen mixed savory empanadas. They also serve coffee drinks. Empanadas come in their own little paper envelopes which are individually labeled with the type so we can easily figure out which one we wanted to try. Nice touch! Favorites were Chorizo, Spinach, Mushroom and Fugazetta. $5.50 each which is not bad considering there is another Empanada vendor in the area that charges $7.

I had a late lunch (around 3 pm). Someone was there ready to help me. The decor is festive and modern. The branding is on point. I ordered the beef and chicken empanadas. At $5.50 each, it's cheaper than the ones found in Oxbow Market (although I haven't compared the sizes). They were good and they satisfied my late afternoon cravings. I also had a cold brew to go with the food and it made every other bite go down well. Empanadas and coffee -- what a great combo!

"Breakfast" empanada from Cocina Milonga, Napa

We caught up with Milonga's fabulous empanadas at the Napa Farmer's Market where they had a nice large display. Beef, chicken, pork, sweet potato, spinach and yes, vegan options (roasted veggies, potato and apple) all available this morning. I opted for the "Breakfast" empanada which included eggs, cheddar cheese and bacon. Absolutely delicious and a great first bite. Not bad at all for $5. First time wine tasting with friends and we were in a rush before our 2nd of 3 locations. We first visited a restaurant but there was a lengthy wait so we decided to drive in the direction of our 2nd wine tasting area to look for something quick to eat. Great decision! Walking in, it was small but very welcoming. Very vibrant colors for the decor. I ordered the Chorizo empanada. MAN it was good. I wish I had ordered a few more to go. It was filling, very good and affordable! I don't visit Napa often but I will definitely be back here when I'm in the area.

This was my first time trying this joint and it didn't disappoint. The food was amazing and the service was amazing as well. As you can see from the pictures the Ambiance was chill with amazing smells the moment you walk in. We tried the Ham&Cheese, the Argentinian Chorizo, the mushroom and the Apple empanadas. All the ones we tried were filled with amazing flavors. The chimichurri was, as the owner says, magical sauce. It was all a perfect balance of amazing food, great service and a chill spot to come visit. If you're in the Napa area you must come to this spot, you will not be disappointed.

At 8:15 reservation time, our party was the lone group in the restaurant. I feared this place was no good and almost did not go in. We were greeted with semi semi bored, semi relieved staff... Over all food is ok and 10 glass of wine unbeatable. I do think that server training should be improved. We were asked for food orders before starting with drinks which I thought was interesting. We got our food with no utensils... those little things. Oh by the time we were done with dinner, a few more patrons came.... That's good for the restaurant.

The menu called to us (we were hungry and it also boasted $5 glasses of wine!). The hostess seated us right away even though we didn't have a reservation. We got an excellent spot outside on the promenade with a beautiful river view (on a Saturday night close to 8pm). We ordered the olives and lamb sausage to start. The lamb sausage was in a red sauce and was so tasty and well prepared. For my main I got the milanesa napolitano with a side salad (instead of fries). The cutlet was huge and I loved every bite of it! I'm only in Napa for a few days so was happy we stumbled across this one-- I recommend this spot if you like meat and you're pretty hungry!

The issue is that I was definitely pushing it on time if I planned on making my flight. As I was driving here, I had the thought that if there was an annoying parking situation or a line, I would just have to pivot and forego patronizing. But as it turns out, there was one spot available right next to the front door and no one inside. But then when I requested a nitro, the owner (I assume?) was extremely apologetic that their coffee machine broke. I asked for a few alternate types of coffee, but it turned out said machine controlled it all. So we shifted to the pastries. I read on the website that they had something with guava, so I asked for two of those: one for me, one for the wife. He even offered to heat mine up, which I will say yes to 100% of the time. I then jumped back in the car and was back into "don't' miss your flight mode." Of course, when you're in a hurry, you manage to hit every red light along the way, so I was doing a lot of yelling at electricity and God. But then I figured I might as well take the time to try the pastry that I'd originally planned on eating on the plane. As it turns out, it brought me into a nearly immersive experience of zen. The only bad thing is that I devoured it within seconds and then it was merely a thing of the past. My wife is fortunate that I have the amount of integrity that I do because I am sitting on the plane as I write this and I could easily inhale that 2nd pastry with her being none the wiser. If you're reading this, wife, remember that you hit the spousal lottery.

We were seated in the very cute outdoor patio, there was plenty of shade so even though it was pretty warm out we were pretty comfortable. We shared the BBQ platter which was perfect for 3 meat eaters and my partner had the vegetarian mushroom pasta. The platter was great, the beef especially was perfectly medium rare and was tender thru every bite. The roasted vegetables included in the platter included Brussel sprouts and cauliflower which were also beautifully caramelized. My partner enjoyed her mushroom pasta, the ridges on the pasta absorbed every bit of the delicious white sauce. Happy to come back, I think the patio space makes it perfect for families of all ages. The patio's a nice space, half-covered with fans, so it'll be great through summer. Service was attentive and fast, almost too fast. We ordered 2-3 apps and two entrees, and everything landed at once within 10-15 minutes. No real gap between courses, which meant no chance to actually finish the apps before the entrees showed up. But everything came out lukewarm, which was the main issue. The Brussels sprouts, meatball, and empanadas were all fairly tasty, but the meatball and empanada were room temp, which dulled the flavor. Same story with the entrees, chicken Milanesa and Lomo Saltado, both lukewarm. The Milanesa was thin, easy to eat, and the sauce worked well with it. The fries tasted frozen, not hand-cut, and on the Lomo Saltado the sauce made them soggy fast. Sauce itself ran a bit too salty. Steak in the Lomo Saltado was tender though, and generous on portion. Good space, good service energy, but the food execution needs work. Not somewhere I'd go out of my way to return to unless they fix the food temperature and the fries.
