Food was average. Fajitas were seasoned nicely, enchiladas had a nice sauce and tacos were decent. Menu selection was pretty standard for Mexican food. Service was alright. Food came out quickly.

We were in Napa to see a show at the Blue Note, and she wanted some lunch. After parking, we strolled around, looking at the nearby possibilities. She decided on Mexican food, so we went to Don Perico. We were offered indoor or outdoor seating, and we chose outdoor. It was a nice day but there was a table in the shade and that's where we parked ourselves. The one downside though, were the flies. I kept 1/2 my napkin covering my Horchata and it was a constant vigil to keep the pests from landing on our plates. I'm not sure how they could resolve that short of mesh screens or fans that would blow the napkins all over. Service was very good and our server came by and checked on us frequently. The food was decent, pedestrian American-Mexican. I had asked for my order with Whole Black Beans but the kitchen had put Refried Pinto Beans on my plate. Instead of replating, they simply served a small bowl of Whole Black Beans on the side. I didn't waste all of the Refried though. I used them as a accompaniment on the complimentary Tortilla Chips. She really enjoyed her Taco and the Chile Rellenos were all right as well. Would we come here again? Maybe. But there are many other restaurants to try in the area as well.

Service was great -- servers were very attentive and food came out super fast. This review focuses on the food.. it was mediocre at best. Ordered some carne asada street tacos and the meat was very bland and dry. Honestly, my favorite part about the plate was the rice and beans.. and the chips are definitely store bought. Maybe we got the wrong thing because they have such an extensive menu.

Don Pericos was one of my go to spots years ago but I have not been back in a while. My brother and I stopped in on Cinco de Mayo and while they did have a limited menu on this day, they still had their Wet Burritos which are amazing! The wet burritos are served with the beans and rice on the side which means that you get a large tortilla filled with a plentiful amount of whatever protein you choose, I got carne asada. I ordered my favorite drink here, the coronita which is a margarita with a small corona in it, super fun! The service was fast and all staff are very attentive. I asked for a spicier salsa and beware, they do not mess around with the habanero salsa, so good!

Nice restaurant with indoor, outdoor and bar seating. The wait time has been little to no wait every time I have visited. The food is decent and not my first pick when it comes to Mexican food but personally me and my fiancé come for the drinks. The bar streams sports games that are playing. Staff is very welcoming and attentive. First round of chips and salsa is on the house. Great place to stop by if you are walking around down town area.

When you don't have a reservation anywhere else in town, you end up at a place like this. Very mediocre/average Americanized Mexican food. The massive menu has something for everyone but it's anything but authentic. They charge extra for extra chips/salsa, which is comical. The service wasn't great and one of the orders showed up incorrect.

Great location in the middle of town. Friendly staff. Very much dated decor. Menu had a great variety of Mexican dishes. The price point was affordable. The food was very flavorful just wish it had a better temperature it was a bit cold. Overall a good experience and I loved how close it was to my hotel.

Very good service. We were seated very fast and served with our chips and salsa immediately. We waited a bit to get our order in, but we greeted with a welcome. We ordered our drinks and our entree all at once. We received our drinks first. My Patron Margarita was superb. The mango margarita was a bit bland for me, but my wife liked it. We shared a Chili Verde Burrito as we weren't very hungry after a great happy hour. The Burrito was very tasty. However, the sauce was very salty. I avoided dropping the food into the sauce, and it was great. Overall, it is a very good restaurant and a go-to for Mexican food.

Good food , delicious drinks , price range $$ . Location is very pretty, tight on parking though . That's why I'm going with 4 starts instead of five . In all the services was fantastic

Good food. Great service. Albóndigas were good. Shrimp Cocktail was real good. My husband has the carnitas plate which was also really good . Family oriented type of place . I recommend it !

It was our first night in Napa (this time) and we hadn't made plans/reservations for dinner, so we were at the mercy of restaurants we could walk to from Inn on First, that were open and had room. We looked around a bit and landed at Don Perico Mexican Restaurant. It was warm, but outside seating was well protected by umbrellas and there was a nice breeze. It was a comfortable setting for dinner. Our server was kind and made sure we had everything we needed. We started with Jalapeño Margaritas, which were beautifully presented. I ordered Enchiladas del Mar and Mark had Steak Fajitas. Both were tasty. We were hungry. I'd say Don Perico is a great place to stop if you've not made other plans. It's good food, but it pales a bit in comparison to other dining options available in the area. Next time we come to Napa I'll make sure we have plans for our first day rather than leaving things to chance.

The location was perfect in downtown Napa! When we walked in we were given the option to sit indoors or outdoors. It was a very beautiful day but we decided to dine indoors. The waitress was patient as we looked over the menu due to this being our first time visiting g this location AND trying to find queso on the menu which they did not have (we were truly diners from Texas LOL). The food turned out very delicious. I had a "wet shredded chicken burrito". I would love to come back and visit this restaurant again if are ever in the Napa area.

We were in Napa on the night of their major concert with a fewer restaurants open at dinner time, so the choices weren't great and we settled for Don Perico. We were seated outside as we had our two dogs with us. Let me just skip to the punch line, really didn't stand out as authentic memorable Mexican dinner. It was just something to curb your hunger and that is it. Being in California, and having tried fantastic food at restaurants and even trucks, you are spoiled with great Mexican food. The service was OK as well. Been there, tried it and don't need to go back.

The presentation was minimalistic but still managed to stand out. The carne asada tacos were a generous portion, and the fresh tortillas made all the difference. Everything our table ordered was delicious, cooked perfectly, and well-presented. The kitchen definitely knows what they are doing. The Service Unfortunately, the dining experience was really let down by how rushed we felt. Throughout the night, it felt like the front-of-house staff was on a mission to flip our table as fast as possible. Servers were constantly hovering and picking up plates while half of our group was still actively eating. It reached a point where one of my friends was practically interrogated about whether she was finished. They kept coming back to check on her plate so many times that she eventually just gave up, got annoyed, and told them to just take it away before she was even done. It's hard to enjoy great food when you feel like an inconvenience or a timer is ticking down. I'd love to come back for the flavors, but the staff needs to let guests actually breathe and enjoy their meals.

Food: Chips and Salsa - large variety of salsas so decided to add an order of chips to try the variety, verde was my personal favorite here bright, refreshing tomotillo with a little bit of jalapeno kick, the other salsas were okay Al pastor taco - solid, meat had decent seasoning but was hoping for more char but a solid Al pastor fresh pineapple was a nice touch Mushroom taco - not good, had an almost sour flavor, appreciated the cheese crust but the tart note from the mushrooms really put us off for this one Carne asada taco - fine, lightly seasoned, beef portion felt generous, salsa doing the heavy lifting for flavor but a solid choice Chicharrones taco - a bit disappointed, chicharrones wasn't super hot or crispy, was hoping this would be fresher but felt like the meat had been sitting for a while Service was fine, fast casual order at the counter and pick up your order from the pass when ready, everything else is self serve. Overall pretty disappointed by Mother's Tacos. Tried a variety pack of tacos and most under delivered given the rave reviews was expecting more.
