I have always been self conscious of my pigmented lips. When I booked my appointment for lip blushing with Emily I didn't expect the results to have such a huge effect on my self esteem. Emily made sure my lips were properly numb before and during the procedure. She kept talking to me to keep me distracted. Surprisingly there was little to no discomfort. My lips were swollen for a day, the swelling kept going down after that. Kept my lips super hydrated like instructed and within the first 3 days my lips had peeled with no discomfort. I love the results even after the first session which is only supposed to cancel out the hyperpigmentation. Emily is extremely attentive and friendly. She made sure to explain the proper after care and then kept checking in with me via text. She is just as excited as me to see the final result after the second appointment. I contacted Emily on July 15 , 2024 regarding Eye Brow Tattoo & Eye Lash Extension, during discussion she requested I send pictures of my eye brows which I did & Emily text back the cost would be $150 for Eye Brows ; I made appointment for 2 PM July 18 after agreeing with quote. On July 18 after driving in traffic & looking for parking at 1:50 PM she texted me with a rude & threatening message " If u not coming I'll take in other client .Please confirm with me in 10 mins" . I was walking a couple blocks to her place since there is limited parking & would arrive on time ... I was not even late yet ! She completed her service & charged me $424 at the time I was exhausted & frustrated so I paid her & did not get receipt, she told me I would be getting a discount because I was referred by a friend .I realized after getting home her charge seemed Very high from what I was expecting . I requested a receipt & after reviewing it the Ombré Brow charged was $275 ... $125 More than she quoted & no discount at the time she gave No explanation & feel I was taken advantage of . I even checked her website & it quotes $150 for Ombré Brow . This is not a way to run a business & not professional . I sent her a Email on July 23 & text on July 25 requesting an explanation & have not heard back from her as of July 28 ... Not professional . Emily is an amazing artist!! I'm really glad I went to see her. I went to EZbrows for microblading. I have red hair and very fair skin, so I was worried that the brows would look too dark and unnatural (since I normally don't wear much makeup other than brows). They turned out great!! Emily completely customizes the color of your brows to whatever you want. She really took the time to figure out exactly what I wanted and what would look good on my face. Her studio is very relaxing and there was no rush (which is what you want when getting something longterm done to your face!). The space is comfortable, very clean, well decorated and quiet. I walked there from BART (~10 min walk), but there is also parking right outside the studio. I would highly recommend her. I looked at brow artists all over the bay area, and decided on Emily, both because her before and after pictures looked great, but also because she has online booking, fair prices, and basically no wait time. She is careful to explain the entire process before the procedure, and also give all the detail about how to care for your brows afterwards. Plus, she sent me home with all the stuff to care for them (didn't cost anything extra). She is also really helpful and communicative before and afterwards by text/email/phone. If you are interested in microblading (or her other permanent/semipermanent makeup looks beautiful too), and would like something very tailored to your face, or if you have a particular look you would like to create in mind, I cant imagine a better artist to go to than Emily! The prices are good - commensurate with Emily's high level of skill, yet still very reasonable for microblading in this area. In case you're wondering, microblading doesn't hurt (at least not when Emily does it) - your face is totally numb because she uses a topical anaesthetic. Basically all it is is tiny tiny handmade cuts that are infused with dye and then allowed to heal. It's like a 'surface-level' tattoo (which means it lasts a long time but is not permanent - that made me less nervous to try it!). The cuts are less than a papercut even - more gentle than I thought it was going to be. I was really surprised that this procedure didn't irritate my skin much at all. I actually went out to dinner that night, since my brows didn't have much soreness/inflammation going on at all. This would be an amazing gift for new mothers, or other overwhelmingly busy people, since it lets you go through the day feeling great about how you look and like you've cared for yourself, but it takes zero time to get ready in the morning! read more

Though small, the salon has such a classy ambience - from the white rug and chair to dainty decors. The music playing is not too loud and just enough to put one in a happy and calm mood (it was a jazzy Christmas station). Service: I opted for eyelash extension. Emily is so friendly and very easy to talk to. She listened to (and knew) what I needed even before I said it. I am 9 month pregnant and when I told her that on the phone, she automatically responded that I shouldn't be lying on my back and that she will make arrangements for me. During the session, I had to lie on my left side which made it actually harder for her posture to work on my lashes. But not once I heard her complain or mention that it was a hardship for her. She was more concerned about my comfort - asking me from time to time if I was okay. Despite the awkward positioning on her part, Emily just plowed through... until work is done. How awesome is that? She is very meticulous and she did not mind spending a considerable amount of time with me so long as the work was done the way I wanted it to be. Result: The end product is gorgeous - natural full looking and curly lashes. It has been about four days and still look great as if they were just applied today. This review is long overdue. I gave 2 stars due to my previous visit. I came in to have my eye liner done by Emily. I kept trying to ask to have the eye liner drawn out larger and longer but she kept insisting that it doesn't look good and kept drawing it really small and barely noticeable. The entire point of having my eye liner drawn out larger is to give the impression that I am wearing makeup, not look exactly how I looked walking into the office. Then she made a silly comment saying if there was anything that needed to be fixed, that it should be my eyebrows. Like, is that supposed to be professional? After browsing the Yelp reviews for microblading, i was initially drawn to the very popular establishment down in San Jose. But after looking at the pictures, I have to say I wasn't impressed. So, I looked at shops closer to me and found Ezbrows. While she didn't have as many reviews, I really liked the pictures she had posted...the style of eyebrows were what I was looking for. And I was curious about the "ombre" eyebrows as I had never heard of that before. After my free consultation, I felt good about going with Emily and I ended up getting the ombre eyebrows after she explained the difference between microblading and ombre. On top of that, I got the lash enhancement eyeliner. Yes, having a tattoo machine right on the edge of my eye is not something I would've considered before but after talking to Emily and seeing the results in the pictures, I decided to go for it. To say that I love my eyebrows and eyeliner is an understatement! I can throw away my eyebrow makeup as these are so perfect that all I need to do is just clean up the edges as the hairs grow out. And my eyes look awake and defined with the eyeliner. No more raccoon eyes from smudged eyeliner and oily lids! I wish I had done this sooner. I went with my mom, she has no eyebrow at all, and Emily did an excellent job with the "look so real" hair aka microbladding that makes her eyebrow look natural with hair. Emily is also very knowledgeable that she would tell you all the facts about eyebrow tattoo and your skin.
