I wanted to try Coco's as something new and vegan. I was very hungry but being my first time it took me quite awhile to figure out the system of ordering and to get a clear description of what each food item was. First of all you are greeted by a sign only (although staff are visible at the counter). The sign instructs you to take the menu to your seat and scan the barcode to order. I sat down and it literally took me 30 mins to understand the menu and try to decide what to have. Again no one observes and notices or seems to care that perhaps you are new and may need a little help with the menu. Then when I finally went to the counter to attempt to order since the app wasn't opening on my phone, I was given very vague answers; nothing that would truly assist me in my decision making. I should have just left then without ordering, but I had already driven a few hours to get there and I was so hungry that I selected something just to eat. The burger I had definitely was not good and the fries sufficed to fill the hungry. I spent over $30 for a burger, fries and a cup of mint cold brewed tea and was very disappointed and still hungry. Needless to say I will never return. The two stars is for the fries alone. read more

We love Coco! The food is always delicious, and the service impeccable. It's a beautiful setting with gorgeous decor, a collapsible glass wall with screen that they open when the weather permits, and the music is always really good. We have personal favorites on the menu: classic breakfast sandwich, chipotle bacon sandwich, and the Buddha bowl are delicious. We've been for dinner a few times as well, and it's a totally different vibe, which we love. We aren't vegan, but love the option for more plant-based foods. Also, I have to eat gluten-free, and the menu is easy to navigate, and their gluten free bread options are very good. read more

Coco's is a hidden gem! Omnivores and vegans alike will enjoy the fair. I had dinner with a mixed patty and EVERYONE enjoyed the caprese mini toasts with cheese that tasted just like real mozzarella. The burgers were phenomenal, and the Mediterranean bowl was divine with feta that tastes like the dairy version as well. We didn't miss the dairy or meat at all. And don't forget the cocktails!! Try the lavender lemonade for a refreshing treat. Lastly, we were celebrating a birthday, and they gave us our pick of the delicious desserts for free for our birthday guest. The food here is EXCELLENT. I am dairy free and finding tasty options is difficult, however, the menu has some unique and delicious options. The falafel bites were fresh and the pesto linguine was perfectly cooked. I also liked the generous amount of pesto which you don't usually get with those kinds of fresh ingredients. Had a No-milk latte. Was good, not so sweet as the lattes at Starbucks. I wish them well. They are close enough for me to walk to. But if popular I don't see anywhere near enough parking. Maybe there is a parking deck? Anybody know about this? Their plan is to offer an all plant based dining menu. I asked to see a menu but it is still not finalized. I wish them luck. read more

Love that this place is all vegan and that proceeds are purportedly supporting the owners' animal sanctuary. The staff are all very friendly and professional, and the space is bright/airy (though the fake plants are an unnecessary touch IMO). Sometimes the music is too loud and inescapable. However my main gripe is that the menu is pretty overpriced, especially vs the food quality/effort. Kept fighting the urge to go to Trader Joe's to get similar food items at a fraction of the price. For example - this snack "chicken"-popper item, including a minimal tip, set me back $14+. Perhaps I don't know what goes on in the back end to justify the markup, but I do wish it were more accessible for more people. read more

Space is solid - beautiful, plenty of tables to work from, lots of natural light and greens. It's located right by the new glen lennox apartments and there's parking lot + deck next to it. Sadly I didn't love my coffee from here. Plant based milk (I got the "not milk", which is supposed to be the closest type to normal cow milk) was way too strong and I could not taste the espresso anywhere. There was a lot of foam and the drink was very thick - not my cup of tea, but now I know what to expect! I can see myself coming back here to try some baked goods or food when they open up the bistro end of it and working on my laptop. read more

Beautiful setting. If your not into a plant based menu might not be for you. I got the falafels they were good but dry. They were served with hummus. In my opinion falafels should always be served with tzatziki sauce not just hummus. Probably would not order again. I would give setting 5 stars, menu 3 stars. read more

There are many positives here. The space is large sunny and inviting. While there isn't power at every seat it's not too hard to find one if you want to work and need the juice. The staff are super friendly and well organized. You order by QR code and they bring food to your table. There is plenty of seating inside and out. I had the avocado toast and a coffee. The toast was excellent, just the right amount of avocado and with some mild seasoning. The restaurant is vegan and this is clearly advertised. I feel that providing some dairy cream / milk for coffee would significantly improve the dining experience for folks like me who just don't like any of the plant based milks, but happy with vegan items otherwise. read more

OK, so an update to a previous review. 1) I was wrong and the food is actually damn good. I have been back multiple times this week because their breakfast sandwich and avocado toast are so so good. 2) they still aren't fast, but the wait times have improved. I wouldn't suggest it if you are in a hurry. However, if you order online and they suggest a time when it will be ready, they usually make that time period, which is fine. I think considering these were the biggest draw backs and in my previous review its only fair to update. I would highly suggest trying their breakfast sandwich or avocado toast. While the atmosphere is nice, it's a little loud. The service was non-existent. As a first timer, I always have extra grace (hence the three stars) because I might be missing some information/protocols that would make my next visit simpler and better. Why the missing stars? I stood waiting for the two behind the counter with their backs to me to quit talking about their social life and acknowledge me AFTER my friend had just placed her order. I actually had to interrupt them. They were very smirky with me and continued to be that way in other encounters such as asking where to get water. I don't recall them even pretending to smile. Then, when my friend's food came to our table, she had to go get plastic fork and knife and napkin. Then MY food arrived and it was in a to-go bag. ??? The "server" said, did you order this to-go? "No", I said and she asked if I wanted it plated and I said "yes, please". So here's the kicker: on a proper plate, it came with actual silverware and a cloth napkin. So my friend's order was missing that experience. The food? It was good. okay. fine. I had something that had fake chicken, but honestly, I can't judge it for its comparison to chicken as I haven't had chicken since 1972. But it tasted okay. Let start by saying this spot is so cute and has it all! Decor is on point, music set a good vibe, staff was nice, and the coffee and food were delicious. But....as a friend and I sat, ate, and drank for almost two hours we noticed empty coffee cups left sitting around, spills on the floor not cleaned up, tables not wiped off, crumbs and garbage under the tables, over all no attention to cleaning up as people came and went. The rush was over and there was plenty of time for upkeep. There were also noticeable cobwebs and a need for a new coat of paint along the wall. I've visited Coco twice since they opened their new locations and both times were so pleasant! The shop itself is SO NICE and peaceful! They have a good range of coffee and tea. Their seasonal drink selection is great! I hope that they offer online ordering soon! They have oat milk and macadamia nut milk (which I very much appreciate multiple options). Their peppermint mocha could use a smidge more peppermint but other than that no complaints! Highly recommend! read more

I used to love visiting Coco Bean Coffee Shop and was excited to hear that they were moving and becoming a plant-based restaurant and coffee shop. I stopped by shortly before they opened and loved the wide-open look and all that glass. I returned on the third or fourth day that they were open and enjoyed having a nice variety of hot drinks and desserts to order; my daughter sure enjoyed it as did my whole family! It's a great location near Whole Foods in a classy new building "The Gwendolyn". The staff are friendly and helpful and it's a great place to relax and hang out. They even have electric car charging spots. I can't wait till they open for evening dinner service and look forward to trying their wonderful food! read more
