This was my second time ever getting my nails done after a horrible experience with the first, and CoCo nails has made this experience amazing. Really upset. This has been a second time I've been there and the ladies who work on our nails never give us the full on attention and care a client should. They were having conversations through the whole service and really messed up on my girl's nails. She slightly cut her toe with the nail file and slanted one of her nails badly after she stated she'd like them square. Toward the end of our service my girl made it known that her nail was crooked and asked if she could fix it, but the lady said "what do you want me to do?". A professional would not have such a dead end answer and should always find a slight solution. Although, it might not be much to people, it is the little things that clients should pay attention to and consistency is key to a loyal client. So i hope this business recognizes this feedback and make some good improvements with their staff training. read more

After reading the positive reviews, I decided to betray my usual nail spot in Manhattan and give this place a try before my vacation. Big mistake. I booked a powder gel and pedicure on a busy Saturday. Because I was a new customer, I was relegated to a less experienced manicurist. The finished result was 10 completely different shaped nails and chipped polish after three days. I'm on vacation, so I can't return for them to correct the poor job. The pedicure was OK, but I picked a color, the powder gel was a completely different color than what I picked (and the pedicure), so to fix it they painted over the original pedicure color (since I wasn't going to go through a color change for the powder gel). So now the original color is showing through. Anyway, careless job, inexperienced manicurists and zero concern for customer satisfaction. Sadly, never again. read more

This place has a great staff, June did an amazing manicure very kind and thorough. Unfortunately it also has an owner straight out of some monster movie. I was charged over $90 for a mani/pedi with gel polish. The prices are posted and you can see them in the photo gallery but the owner said "I never got around to changing the prices" and said to her client (in front of me), "I guess she can't afford it!?" Nice try, satan. No, I can afford it but setting a price for a service isn't something that you change at whim, and this is not how you run a business here. I filed a complaint with my credit card to insure I paid the price posted. Complete letdown. read more

June does beautiful work on ny nails (gel manicure) and my pedicures done by Grace are always very well done and last several weeks! The salon is clean and they have a nice array if colors. I can only go by what I saw yesterday, when I went to get my wife a gift certificate for Mother's Day! Parking is very sketchy only a few spots available. They share the space with a convenient store and a dry cleaners. It's located off a heavily traveled road so traffic is a forgone conclusion, your hitting it!! First time I ever set foot inside, it's a small space probably can accommodate 12 people at a time. It was crowded with moms getting ready for today! The woman at the front desk was awesome, very helpful!! I have no clue what anything costs, so she informed me of all the prices. I was in and out in about 5 mins if not less, and got my wife her gift. Now she can get pampered if just for a little while, cause as a Mom she deserves it!! Both my daughter and I had an appointment for gel manicures. Even then, I was moved 3 times to different tables while they tried to accommodate other people coming in. My daughter's nails were done in the pedicure chair, not even at a table. 1 weel later both our gel Manis are chipped and look like they are weeks old. Will never set foot there again. Ohh and they charge you not only $7 more if you pay by credit card BUT also charge you almost $3 tax on top of that!! read more

I Came here for the 1st time after a recommendation and it was a horrible experience from start to finish. To begin with they gave me a 5:30pm apt for pedicure and they closed at 6pm (I called at 10am). When I got there IT WAS EMPTY, they said they could ONLY paint my nails because there was no time so that meant my feet did not touch water AT ALL!!! They then proceeded to charge me "extra $10" to remove polish off 1 foot which is 5toes, THEN an "extra $10" to do french, "extra $10" to acrylic 1 toe nail. AT THAT POINT IT WAS OVER $70+ and my feet did NOT touch water,scrub, filed or anything JUST to be painted. WITH ALL THAT SHE WAS RUSHING!!! At this point I stopped her and called MY reg salon where I got full service pedicure with french for half of what they were trying to charge me. They still had the nerve to charge me $20 but I was fed up with them and just wanted to leave. ILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THERE AGAIN!! read more

This is the only nail salon in the area that I'm 100% satisfied with. They are reasonably priced and there is a reason they have 5 star ratings. I see Jackie and she has never disappointed me. I'm so happy that I found them as I really thought I would never be able to find a good nail salon, and I've tried many in Cliffside, Edgewater and Fort Lee with mediocre results. Possibly one of the BEST nail salons in the neighborhood. They have a variety of colors to choose from, and a variety of great services! From my experience, the salon tends to get busy towards the end of the week, so I would try to book an appointment at the beginning of the week. It's just so much less stressful (at least to me anyway) staying at the salon when it's less busy. I always get my manicures done by Mariela and my pedicures done by Grace since I'm so used to their style, but I see other customers get their's done by other technicians and MY GOD their nails are drop-dead gorgeous. I even talked to one of their customers to ask what kind of color and service she chose (spoiler alert: she did a nude color gel manicure). The prices did increase a bit due to the pandemic, but is that surprising? You're still getting great service! Nail salon items are bound to increase, so obviously the price of nail salon services will go up too! Anyone who complains about that just doesn't understand how economics work. ‍ Also, foot fungus? Seriously? If you think you got foot fungus from a salon, why aren't there more people speaking about their infections? Foot fungus in itself is highly contagious so if you actually get it from a small area (like a salon), other people should be infected too. Probably got their infection at home lol. I've been hesitant to write this review for a while now because I LOVE THIS PLACE TOO MUCH and have been trying to keep it my own secret. But the girls here make my experience every single time. They are sweet, personable and hard working. Plus the place is ALWAYS clean. They don't usually use those drill machines that other places use but instead soak your gel off every time. Also, there are little touches that make the place extra special. Ie: tokens/gifts for xmas like a lotion, aloe gel on your legs before your pedicure in the summer and hot oil for your heels during your pedicure in the winter. About 10 months ago I bought an apartment in the Fairview area and have always used to do my manicure and pedicure every 2 weeks, I was very happy to know that in front of my building is coconail, the first time I went I was attended by a young girl in the pedicure, I do not know her name, she is the youngest of all, while she polished my feet she got distracted and broke the skin of my ankle with the palette, I thought at that moment that it was something I could let go and so I did , several months have passed and my skin has the mark. That has been something that I decided to ignore but I mention it because I started to fear with whom I could do the services and with whom I did not. That same day Mariela made me the manicure, I loved it, the color lasted for a long time and her service was very professional. Then I decided to only make appointments with Mariela, but a month ago I went again, Mariela did not have time to do both services, so she offered me the pedicure with Grace and that she would do the manicure, I agreed and I gave her confidence to Grace. I was satisfied with the work and took a new appointment the next two weeks, it was Tuesday and Mariela had the day off, so I asked for the appointment with Grace. When I arrived she made me wait a few minutes, I understand and I waited, she began to do the manicure with calm and professionalism, until the moment her next appointment arrived, she started to run with me and left me sitting at the table, She said that her boss was going to finish the job because she had another client, I waited but I was already limited, the boss came to put the color on me and it was not the color that I had chosen, I felt uncomfortable and annoyed, I paid for my service and decided not to apply the color because time was no longer enough for me, I was there for 80min for a manicure and I did not even have color. The most serious part is now, I went to my house and I removed the color that Grace had put on my feet 15 days ago, I discovered something terrible, never in my life I had a fungus and my nail is now damaged I have infected by a fongus ...
