I came here on a Friday afternoon looking for a cafe to get some studying done. I drove over from Mountain View since a lot of the cafes downtown Mountain View are really busy and there's not enough seating. When I arrived there were many tables open which surprised me because it was a Friday afternoon. I ordered a Green Tea Latte and a bag of the Cocohodo pastries to snack on while I worked. When I was served my pastries they were piping hot. The pastry itself was delicious the dough is the perfect texture, in addition, the red bean paste is not too sweet and the walnut inside gives sit the perfect crunch. The green tea Latte was delicious, one of the top latte's I've had. It was the perfect temperature when served and just the right sweetness. I've had matcha lattes other places and they were all far too sweet, the matcha latte here you can actually taste the matcha powder. In regards to the cafe space, it was very clean and well lit. The workers were very nice, one of the workers brought around samples of a new pastry to each table to try. There were many other patrons studying as well. There was music playing (piano renditions of BTS songs) but it was not too loud at all. Additionally, there is very fast wifi at this cafe. The password is located on a sign by the register. I think I found my new study space! I look forward to trying the sweet potato latte or the milk tea! read more

The walnut pastries are tasty and unique, I recommend giving them a try - especially if you like red bean. The red bean filling was the best I've had - very smooth and not gritty at all. I'd buy jars of it if I could. The walnut shape is so cute they would be a great gift. I got this delivered, and they arrived warm and very fresh. Impressive, considering I don't live in Sunnyvale. Proves they are making them to-order. Coffee, however, was much too weak. We got the coco lattes with almond milk, and they were very watery. This is my 2nd time here. I remember coming here years ago and tried their cocohodo latte and I thought it was average tasting. I recently came back and on this day I didn't feel like getting coffee and I didn't want to get my typical matcha latte so I opted for a black bean latte. It was honestly so hard to drink. The taste was WILD, i cannot describe it. The only thing I can think of is that it tastes like something old people would drink?? Their walnut red bean is pretty good and popular here, but it can get sickening after awhile. I noticed they now have nutella and cream cheese flavor now for those that do not like red bean. Absolutely love the setting. I have been here twice and the walnut pastries are great if you love some crunch and red bean. Drinks are a little on the pricey side. I've ordered the hot chocolate ( $3.00) and the cocohodo latte. My friend got a green tea latte and that was pretty good. The staff speaks korean and is near the Hankook supermarket. I have never seen any other shop that specializes in these walnut pastries before, but Cocohodo makes them so delicious!! 《Customer Service》 The lady helping me out was super nice and patient, as it was my first time ordering and not knowing about walnut pastries. 《Food》 It's walnut and red bean paste inside a batter exterior. It's not too sweet with the red bean, so it's absolutely perfect. You can choose sizes of bags and (gift) boxes of the walnuts from Small to EXTRA large!! I myself can't really eat too much, so I got a medium size and it was my plenty. I also got a beverage of an iced matcha latte, and it was really good and creamy. I noticed they had bingsu too! I love coming here whenever we shop at the nearby Korean supermarket. This is a specialty shop that sells walnut pastries. If you have not tasted a walnut pastry this is the place that you need to go. Walnut pastry is a sweet kind of pastry that is shaped like a walnut and has chopped nuts inside.The location is next to a Korean bookstore, right side facing Hankook supermarket. They make their pastries fresh and you can buy them by the bags or gift box. They also sell specialized drinks such as lattes and Italian sodas / virgin (non alcoholic) mojitos but do no boba drinks. FYI, the strawberry mojito is a bust for me. They also sell discounted pastries for the ones that they did not sell the day before and these are still delightful. read more

We tried the red bean paste and cream cheese pastries and quite liked them. The mango shaved ice had flavorless mangoes which could be due to the season. I loved these walnut breads when I was in Korea, so imagine my excitement when I saw Cocohodo in San Jose! Not only are the breads piping hot, fresh and delicious, their drinks are fantastic too. I ordered a Grain Latte while studying here and it was delicious! They were also able to make it soy for me. I also accidentally dropped and broke the mug they served the latte in and they were so nice and accommodating. I felt absolutely awful, but they didn't even bat an eye. I'm a sucker for trendy things but.... This place is AWESOME. Cocohodo, presumably, is Korean for "walnut wrapped in red bean in a walnut shaped pastry individually wrapped for maximum cuteness." They come in bags for snacking or boxes for gifting, but either way they're individually wrapped so they don't smooch each other. Other than that, they're just a normal cafe. Coffee, lattes, and a decent assortment of organic teas. It is kinda neat that they display how those cute little cocohodos are made, though. sweet: cute, trendy red bean snacks that actually taste good, nice atmosphere. bitter: can't think of any! One evening after dinner my friend and I really wanted tea so we came here. For starters, I love that this place is so modern yet cozy on the inside. Wooden walls, silk screened tables... yeah, I dig that. As for the drinks, there are some really lovely tea options such as: pomegranate oolong, jasmine, and chamomile ($1.95). There is also milk tea and coffee. Then we had to try the walnut pastries which are raaaved about on here. It was nice to receive free samples and they are quite good, but I didn't love it to want to buy it (the minimum is the pack of 9 at $4.25). NOTE: They do have a $5 minimum for card charges. Although I liked this place's walnut pastry, I am unable to give a decent rating to this establishment because of the shaved ice. I ordered the Original Coco. Not only is the shaved ice very expensive (10 dollars for a very little cup), there is no redeeming qualities whatsoever. The main problem with the shaved ice is that the ice is not fluffy at all. The ice was wet and hard so it was unpleasant to consume. There was little toppings on the rice so there wasn't much flavor. It was like eating flavorless slushie. Yuck! A cute little cafe/bakery serving up korean treats. The service here was fast and friendly and there is ample seating and good wifi to hang out for a bit and maybe even get some work done. The cocohodos are made on location and was tasty as I remember as a little kid, its a waffle/cake like baked good filled with walnut and sweet red bean paste. Not you typical american baked good but still delicious. Its not too sweet and its the perfect bite size that you can have a few and not feel guilty. Happy ladies finding this little treat! At first look it seems like a boba place, but don't be thrown off, this is some good coffee. My friend ordered a hot vanilla latte and described it like this: a soft flavor, with a smoothness, and not too sweet or bitter. In fact it was one of the best, if not the best vanilla latte she's ever had. My other friend ordered a hot chocolate: just the right amount of chocolate, not too chocolatey, but with a slight hint of cinnamon. I ordered an iced sea salt latte: let me just tell you... it was delicious. Very smooth espresso, nice creamy-ness, and the sea salt gave it such a splendid taste. The atmosphere of the shop is super fun and hip. Loved the modern tables and chairs. The designs of their cups (cups seen in pictures) are so cute... especially the tree!!! Came here on a Wednesday night and it was pretty much almost empty, which was good for us since there was no wait. The girl who took our order seemed to be a little rude (or maybe just having a bad day?), but she just kind of rolled her eyes every time we asked a question like "how big are the sizes?" or "how many pieces are in a small bag?". We the got the green tea shaved ice and some of the walnut pastries to try out. Shaved ice: the ice was a little bit chunky and the flavor tasted almost syrupy sweet in combination with the red beans. There was also really little mochi sprinkled on top that left us wanting some more. Walnut pastries: these were also just ok. They tasted like cake balls with red bean inside with a walnut in the center. It kind of reminded me of a red bean taiyaki but in ball form. Overall, a pretty quiet place to chill and grab dessert but I would probably choose other options if there was something else available. read more

I was looking for a coffee shop when this place popped up on my screen. The interiors are nice and neat. The presence of walnut along with Nutella is what makes this place great for me. Their little walnut pastry/bomb is great. I have tried the Nutella and cream cheese flavors. I would give 5/5 for Nutella but the cream cheese one did not hit the spot. The filling for cream cheese is pretty low which made it miss the flavor that it should have had(it tasted bland). These little walnut things are so good! They come in three flavors--red bean, Nutella, and cream cheese. My favorite is the Nutella. They're so easy to eat that you'll want to get a whole bag of nine for yourself. The red bean is subtle but it's good. The cream cheese is ok but not my favorite. Customer service sucks. Hours posted that they close at 9pm but the workers want to CLOSE AT 9 PM. Meaning they start cleaning everything 30-40 minutes before. The only thing they're willing to sell are drinks. No shave ice, no walnuts. I get it, I used to work at a coffee shop. Best believe we would get in trouble if the owner found out we turned away customers by refusing to sell our main product. Closing for us meant having to stay an hour past, in order to clean and set up for the opening shift. Either the staff has bad time management or business must be doing well since they are willing to close early. read more

The coffee is decent too but the main attraction are the walnut balls. The cafe itself is comfy and friendly. People are there studying and on their laptops. My family and I used to live in the area and frequently visited this location. The offerings and service is always spot on. I recently planned a trip to the area and placed a large order to enjoy during my trip and for friends and family in the area. My flight got cancelled several days in a row and I never made it to the location to pick up my order and the management went above and beyond to help any way that they could without me even asking. They were truly the best and only good part of my disaster of a trip. Its very hard to find anyone let alone a place of business go out of their way to brighten your day. I am a customer forever!
