Came back again for lunch after water skiing. We wanted to get shrimp tacos and fish tacos but they were out of shrimp. That was ok because the fish tacos were absolutely amazing. It was not busy when we got there with only a few other customers that walked in while we were there. We were pleasantly surprised with how great this place was! The frozen drinks were hand made and delicious, which was a nice change from other local places. The food was also delicious! We ordered a few appetizers to share, nachos, tater tot kegs, and ceviche. All of them were AMAZING! The cheese sauce on the nachos was not your average gas station cheese sauce, it was delicious! The waitress was friendly and efficient. The ambience was great, considering it's an outdoor restaurant with fun music and a view of the bay. It was a little too warm, but when is it not hot on SPI? I ordered the shrimp basket because the fried fish basket was whitefish instead of cod. That's good info to ask. The shrimp was very tasty and not overcooked. The cocktail sauce tasted alright, but the best description I can offer is it didn't have any ketchup in it. The fries sucked. The lady who said they tasted like they traveled hours in a closed bag had the description right. My husband ordered the jerk bacon wrapped shrimp. He said he tasted no jerk flavor and the bacon was grossly undercooked. It still had that slimy texture of raw bacon. I ordered the drink called Pink Lady and it was tasty. It's not sweet, and I don't like sweet drinks, just fruity. And it helped up to my taste. We'd definitely come back but maybe try a burger and something other than the fries. read more

I really like this place for lunch! I like sitting outside overlooking the bay. Sometimes we bring our boat and tie-up at the dock (there is only room for a couple of boats). You order at the bar and they bring your food & drink. Service is quick and polite. I usually get the Macho Nachos, which are the best nachos I've had anywhere. They have just about everything you can think of on them including avacado, choice of meat, jalapenos, queso-style cheese, lettuce, tomato, etc. (no olives), and plenty of it. My brother-in-law said that the shrimp were the best he had ever had, but they were out during my next visit. I've never been here for dinner or nighttime entertainment, so I can't comment on that. read more

We stopped by for lunch at this restaurant were highly disappointed in both the food and the drinks. The food was not tasty at all and the margaritas just plain sucked. They're right by the beach and people stop by to get a drink before hitting the beach, so we thought the drinks would be better. Definitely will not ever return to this restaurant. read more

This place gets 3 stars only for the service, location + ambiance, and drinks. We ordered fish and shrimp tacos and they were bad. The corn tortillas weren't even toasted and fell apart. The slaw on them was just barely shredded lettuce with a boring remoulade type sauce. Hardly any seasoning on the shrimp or fish made for the worst tacos I've had. My brother ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp and that was the most disappointing of all. Already cooked shrimp wrapped in crappy bacon had no effort and tasted gritty. Definitely not fresh. I would not come back here and that's not easy to say. We love eating local when we travel and enjoy sharing great experiences but this was not it. read more

Everything we had was amazing. I mean truly the best food I've had in a while. The ONLY complaint I have is the sauce that came with the coconut shrimp (it was molasses). Typically, it is served with some sort of marmalade so the sweetness aspect was there but did not go well with the coconut shrimp. We stopped in for a drink, coconut shrimp, and ceviche. It was so fresh, cooked great, and very flavorful. The service was good and the gentleman working the bar was great. The views were beautiful and seemed like a fun place to come and sit on top deck (or bottom) and enjoy the beautiful views with some very fresh and delicious food. Seriously, the best ceviche I've ever had, also the best coconut shrimp I've ever had (without the sauce). Fresh cut french fries cooked to perfection with salt and ketchup. I've been coming here for over 10 years now. As a local on the island I'd say hands down Coconut Jacks is on the top my list for great food and water sports like parasailing and JetSki's. Great drinks and one one of the best views of the bay and sunset in town. Ceviche is always fresh and full of flavor. Fried fish and coconut fired shrimp is heaven. And after a long long night of enjoying what the island offers: the chipotle patty melt is just what the Dr. Ordered. A must try is their signature drink: The Coconut Jack. Full bar with a diverse selection. Get soaked on the jet skis and enjoy a burger and cocktail after. One of the best places on the island to do just that! read more

Came down for husband's Company's annual fishing tournament. Chris and his crew hosted the Captain's Party at Coconut Jacks and let me tell you...They killed it!!! Chris hired a great band, his chef turned out delicious burgers and homemade fries that I could have just eaten as a meal themselves and his bartenders (Fran & Anabel) were seasoned and kept up with the demand. If you are looking for a place to have a private event this is a great option! On the water with great views and a staff that is going to make sure you are well taken care of! Chris let us know that the owner will be upgrading and remodeling very soon to bring an even better experience to SPI! Cannot wait to go back! read more

I have a mixed feeling about coconut jacks. The staff are super friendly and we had a great time with them but later found out our bartender entered a pretty big tip for herself on top of the generous tip my boyfriend had already given her which says a lot. Your customers should TRUST you with information like that, and to smile in our faces before you steal from us is gross. Now that does not take away from the great food and drinks we had. I had a jerk burger with fries that were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. It was my very first time having anything jerk flavored so I was hesitant but wasn't disappointed. I have a growing love for frozen mixed drinks and the ones here are honestly a 10/10 - they taste great and definitely get the job done. Overall it really was a good experience while we were there, I would advise management to have a talk with the employees about their integrity. Having employees that steal from customers is a sure fire way to lose a lot of business. read more

This was a new venue to myself, though others in my party had previously visited. Glad I stopped in--food was delicious and service was friendly. One note is table service isn't offered--you order everything at the bar. That's the only reason for the star deduction. As an appetizer, I ordered the Mexican style shrimp cocktail. Nicely spicy and a decent amount of shrimp within the dish. You also get a small amount of tortilla chips with the dish. As my entree, I ordered the jerk shrimp wrapped in bacon. This dish did not disappoint. The shrimp were not overseasoned; yet had enough seasoning for a very slight kick. Fries were hand-cut and were the shoestring variety. These were also seasoned well and had a nice balance of being crispy yet soft. Unfortunately I don't recall the name of the bartender, but she poured a good drink with copious amounts of alcohol. She recalled your name when you walked back to the bar as well. Great little spot and definitely worth a shot. read more

I had a party of 12 arrive at 4:30 pm today, bartender was Clare and she is Amazing and to be totally honest 100 times better then this who ever she was relaxed by. We placed three orders separately in consecutive order. At 5:30 pm two of the three orders arrived. All fajita meet on the nachos and tacos were super salty. Other customers were also retuning nachos due to the same complaint. Bacon burgers and coconut shrimp were perfect. It is 7:05 pm and the third order hasn't showed up, no this issue is being taking care of by a different bartender who could care less how long we have need waiting for our food. I would not recommend this place based off of customer service and poor food quality. Definitely not worth the $275. read more

The food was ok. I had a beautiful scenery from the upstairs dining area. But it looked as of it wasn't cleaned from the previous day. The birds kept harboring over, making it hard to to enjoy your food. If you order jamaican jerk fries don't expect anything fancy except fries with seasoning on them, no jerk taste nowhere at all. This is an amazing place to take in a sunset. The place is almost entirely open with wonderful views of the bay and the bridge. You can often see dolphins right off the back deck. The drinks are good, the food is even better and the staff are downright amazing! The apps are amazing. I definitely recommend the Ceviche and the Tater Kegs. The burgers are big and juicy and served up with perfect cooked fries. The jerk chicken is also sublime. Don't miss the live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, as well as Sunday afternoons. Coconuts is located right on the bay side. Perfect venue for a drink and or quick bite to eat. The staff is always friendly. They have both covered areas to sit as well as open areas to sit depending on your preference. I personally enjoy coming here as sometimes it is not quite as overcrowded as some of the larger venues and that is my personal preference. I prefer the one on one attention vs the largest crowd possible. Just remember to stop by the bar to place your order and don't forget to try their Coconut shrimp :-) read more
