    Fried rice

A fairly quiet restaurant along Front street. We came when it opened on Sunday and we were the only ones in the restaurant for a while. The service and food came out pretty quickly and everything was good. We liked the fried rice in particular. It tasted like home food, was fluffy, and tasted clean.

This little understated, off the beaten path of a place is a surprise. The food is absolutely fantastic in so many ways. I loved their wontons in the very delicious wonton soup came with a huge WOW factor for me. SO GOOD! They taste like they are homemade!!! I loved everything we got - and they really do understand the subtle but important difference between a 3 spice and a 4 star spice level. My food (4 star) was perfectly spicy! I love the recipes here and we have lots of choices for Thai food in Issaquah --- and I would try this place again. It's worth the effort and the prices are not cheap, but resonble. I also think the portions are generous. The ONLY reason why I wouldn't give it 5 stars is I don't feel the ambiance is very cozy. I wish it had a warmer vibe -- it kinda lacks a "cool vibe". There is no romance to this place, not a great date night place... it feels more like a place for a family of 5 vibe and my hubby n I really like ambiance. However, the food is awesome.

Forgot how good this place is! Lunch today was Garden rolls (with peanut sauce), Thom Kha Soup with Chicken and mushrooms and Crispy Tofu with Garlic (fantastic!) Have previously had Penang curry, flute rolls, Phad Thai and they were all very good. There prices are more than fair for the portions you get. (Was $66 for 3 for lunch) Will be back sooner than later!

Quick and attentive service on this rainy day! Perfect lunch portion sizes too, offered 11:30-2:30pm. Cute and clean interior, with lots of natural light.

Quaint and lovely eatery with great food. The siracha shrimp is a must try and so is the green thai curry.

The red panang curry was tasty. Somehow it was too thin. The quantity was smaller that I would normally expect. The same goes for the rice. I needed more. The best part was mango and the sticky rice. Very very delicious. Expensive but worth the price.

pretty good! regular thai food I'd say. I think it's a small family owned business and the people were super kind and friendly. I got the super fried rice and it was really good, as was the pad thai.

They are very accommodating to vegetarians and dietary restrictions. Loved the food and service here!

Lu rou fan bento - "Braised Pork Belly" (4/4) The portion size is generous and includes all the elements you'd expect from authentic Taiwanese lu rou fan, or braised pork rice. The fresh vegetables, including pickled radish and cabbage, are tasty and pair nicely with half an egg, tofu, and corn. The dish lacks some of the bold Taiwanese flair I was hoping for, but it's still a solid meal. Popcorn Chicken (4/4) Freshly made and served piping hot, the popcorn chicken has a nearly perfect batter with a light, tender crust. However, the chicken itself is slightly dry. Traditionally, this dish is served with fried basil and optional chili powder for extra spice, but neither was included. Iron Buddha Milk Tea (5/5) I ordered this with 50% sweetness, and it tasted amazing! It was slightly creamy, with a well-balanced milk-to-tea ratio, a wonderful aroma, and a subtle tea aftertaste. Milk tea can be quite pricey these days, so it was refreshing to find such a delicious one for only $5.25.

I got it at 75% sweet because the last new place I visited had lower sweet, but this one I could've done 50% I think. It's really too bad this spot is so far from me (I live in Bellevue)... or maybe it's a good thing because I'd get it too much. Maybe better for my health and wallet. X_x This place also serves a lot of food, actually. I ended up getting a tea and chicken combo, and the chicken was fried but not overly oily and spiced flavorfully. The meat itself also isn't too fatty, which makes me feel like I'm not making the WORST choices by eating it........ You can get you own water at the counter, and if you order for here you need to put a table number, which I found out is already on the table, not a placard you grab near the ordering tableau.

There is nothing boastful about it, the owner can be a little militant and he might have intimidated me the first time I went in, but I'm sure he is a softie at heart. The rest of the staff is sweet. And one thing is for sure they work hard and really make delightful Asian fusion mostly Vietnamese inspired dishes. I love the matcha with boba milk tea. I find it so refreshing and almost a meal in itself. I am also partial to the Banh mi and pork belly bun sandwiches. The sandwiches are perfectly seasoned and their pickled ingredients give it the right tang. The bread on the Banh mi is light, crispy and fresh. I actually haven't tried anything else because I'm always needing something quick to go. Next time I may have to sit and enjoy a meal and boba. And I'll add photos next time.

The roast duck was very tender, and the rice and bok choy well cooked and seasoned. The Singapore noodles had a stronger curry flavor than I was used to, and was good. The true surprise was the salted fish chicken with eggplant. I've never had a dish like this before, and the fish smell was a little pungent. However, the taste wasn't fishy at all and had a great umami flavor. The eggplant was also tender and cooked beautifully. This is the type of food that is very comforting and makes me want to eat more even though I'm full! I wish the portions were bigger considering its price point. Of the three dishes, I can only find myself justifying the eggplant to be worth its price because it is so unique. The Singapore noodles and roast duck I believe I can find for a better value elsewhere. Though I won't be a regular customer, this was a nice find with good food!
