While we were a tiny bit bummed that they are take out only, we took our food back to the treehouse hotel we were staying at and had a picnic spread on the floor. It was perfection. We got- Chicken pineapple fried rice. Amazing! Tons of onions, which was the only down. Wontons- so good! Steamed, not fried. Stickless chicken satay- SO good! Loved the curry flavor on the chicken, and the peanut sauce was amazing! Thai iced tea- They did it right! It wasn't watered down at all, which can sometimes be a problem. Our family has eaten at this restaurant around 4 times. This last time, we got takeaway as the restaurant has not yet opened up during phase 2 for dine in. I liked the environmentally sustainable packaging and how well packed our to go order was. We ordered 2x Pad See Ew - a family favorite dish at this restaurant- and mango sticky rice for dessert. We were very disappointed with the Pad See Ew this time. Usually the dish is authentic in taste , smoky and sweet. This time, it tasted like days old noodles covered in peanut butter. We were confused and upset :( The mango sticky rice was $7.50 and was worth it. Generous mango portions and a great amount of sticky rice. Oh boy does this break my heart. About a month or so ago Coconut Thai changed ownership. It has plummeted in quality since then. I've been there 3 times since the new owners took over and it's been hit or miss with today being the ultimate miss. Instead of no bell peppers like I ordered I was given extra bell peppers, I didn't get the rice I ordered, the chicken satay was rubbery and flavorless. It's a nice sit down and dine restaurant for thai food. the waitress and the waiter were both attentive to details, checked up on us, accommodated to lunch hours, and were super friendly. In terms of the food, the presentation is nice, but the taste of the food in my opinion is not there yet. I ordered the pad thai - satay chicken and the pad thai noodles were thin and not your traditional pad thai style noodles. The taste was a little overbearing and strong, so adding some lime/lemon juice might help balance it out. The satay chicken skewer was good thought. Seasoned and cooked well. Overall I'd give the food a 3/5, but since the servers were friendly and the restaurant had a nice setup, 4/5! read more

This place should be on your bucket list to start off with. Came here with boss on a beautiful afternoon, we were craving some Thai food and Coconut Thai had a good reputation in the area. They gave you vegetable baby bokchoi soup in the beginning to try out their soup broth. The taste of the soup reminds me of home (in Hong Kong). 11 tables total in this restaurant, it's a small restaurant. BUT, their food is really good. Try the 'Lord Noodle' (one of the chef specialties and one of the street food items you find in Thailand), the noodles are very fresh and it was very flavorful. I highly recommend it. I also tried the Tom Kha, it's one of the two famous soup in Thai restaurants. I personally didn't like it very much because the lemongrass flavor in the soup was way too strong for it, i was expecting the soup to be on the sweet side but it turns out that it was a bit sour. We also had the spring rolls for appetizer and they were very delicious. The warm cream cheese on the inside plus the sauce that comes with it, ohhhh I can order 10 of these at once lol. read more

Alright, so this is not my usual area to eat Thai. I was accompanied by a few of my friends who love the place!! The place was empty for Friday afternoon, and I started off with Thai iced coffee. The coffee was good and tasted like a frappe! Next we ordered Basil fried rice, Pad Kee Mao, and Rice shower. Out of the 3 dishes Basil Fried rice was the best. The rice shower was too peanutty for my pallete and I have had better versions of Pad Kee Mao. We were looking for a place to go eat so we drove around n was getting late n we stopped at this restaurant out of nowhere .Looked at the menu n we ordered oh my gosh the food portion looked so little my god the Penang curry for the price was disgusting small.And the chicken with vegetables we barely found 4 pieces of chicken it was all green beans n broccoli. Service was not that good at all. The place looked so dinghy. Ambiance was so poor. I would not look at that place at all. I came on a Friday evening with a friend and I ordered pad kee mao with tofu, spicy level 4 (highest one). We took it to a nearby park to enjoy, and it was pretty good. Noodles were chewy and everything had a great flavor, could've done with more vegetables though. Actually, could've done with more of everything; portions were pretty small for $12 pre-tax. Pad Thai dishes do not have enough veggies/garnish (no bean sprouts, cabbage, tomatoes, not even a quarter of a lime lol). Very lacking. The crispy garlic was very well cooked and has lots of flavors for a fried dish The lord noodle was a different dish than i have ever had at a thai restaurant before. They list it as street food. I loved this cute small thai place in the corner of a busy street in Issaquah. They had limited seating but they were very welcoming. Seems like most of people who visit here are their return customers. Ordered Panang thai chicken curry and Pad thai chicken. Both tasted amazing. The place is rather too small if you are thinking of going in a huge work gang. I am not sure if they take reservations. We ordered garlic chicken and red curry. They offered soup on the house. Soup was just ok - bland and almost like a placeholder. But then who has found any complimentary soup to be good anyways? The portion size was decent and I had leftovers remaining. Red curry was good and so was the garlic chicken but nothing out of extraordinary. I could have gone a bit spicier. A bit expensive for lunch - paid over $14 and I didn't even order anything to drink. While you only get 3, they come in these cute little dishes with a really tasty salad made of green apple, pineapple, onions and some other fresh ingredients mixed in a vinaigrette of some kind. I type this as we are coming out of this restaurant. The food was so bad that we are now heading to another place to eat. I ordered pad ke mao... it came burnt.. the tofu, egg and noodles in it were so burnt ro the extent that they tasted bitter. I wasn't looking for barbecued food, I wanted thai!!.... it's also supposed to have all these veggies.. I saw 1 small piece of tomato and rest of it was only brocolli and squash. Hubby ordered Eggplant basil beef... his was burnt too... beef tasted smoked. I think they were cooking and serving in a hurry to keep tables moving. It was busy but I dont see why.
