We came here back in August 2020. Food 4/5 Hubby and I had Vegan Burgers. The sweet potato fries were a bit soggy and not a ton of flavor. However, the regular fries were crispy. We put malt vinegar on the fries and that amped them up. Service 3/5 Our server forgot about us on a couple occasions. This was my second time eating here and it was much better than the first. My server was Melissa and she was so bubbly it was hard not to smile the entire time. As it's very hot out and I wasn't too hungry she gave me several recommendations and we settled on the sesame tuna. She did NOT lead me astray. The decoration was cute and they even have someone to photograph your moment there. Go to spot for Cocoa Beach fun in the sun...or shade since they have a deck that's almost fully covered. There is plenty of parking across the street of Orlando ave and the food is delicious. The servers are cool and very responsive. I got the hot garlic wings but they were the perfect balance of butter and hot with tons of minced garlic. I got a side salad with house made ranch. My friend got the shrimp wrap w fries and the conch fritter appetizer. All very tasty!!! Definitely check them out. Then walk over to Fat Donkey for ice cream treats for dessert! read more

Excellent experience at this location today. Waited until after the Labor Day holiday due to the crowds. I had the bangin shrimp and fish and chips and my wife had a mango fish grilled with beans and rice. All were excellent. Mine was a five star and my wife was a four-star. The atmosphere was excellent and the service was awesome. Perry was awesome in his personality and excellence in service and hospitality. The ambiance was really nice. They had an outside bar area and an inside bar area.. I had the best shrimp and grits ever and the pineapple creme brûlèe was everything!! So delicious! It was so good I had it two nights in a row! I also tried the coconut shrimp and it did not disappoint! The last day on my way home I stopped by thinking I wanted to take some more shrimp and grits back to Georgia but I decided to taste the Mahi Mahi sandwich and it was so delightful my boyfriend ordered the cheeseburger..we will definitely come back when we visit Cocoa Beach. This is a fantastic spot if you are craving tropical drinks and a good time. I enjoyed an evening out and tried several frozen cocktails at the bar. I had the poke nachos which were dynamite. Sat outside and literally a bird pooped on me our waiter was absolutely awesome and brought me a whole set up for cleaning my shirt. The location is superb on the beach. What could be an EXCELLENT experience was marred by a rowdy crowd smoking on the outdoor patio (where I was seated), inattentive service, and lackluster food. Our server was a rad guy - total surfer vibes - but he was clearly on island time. We could never find him for help with all the issues we were having. I started flagging down any server I could find.... But no one followed through so I entered the location myself and went to the counter and was told "you can't come to the kitchen for anything you have to go through your server." I told them I couldn't find him and they basically shrugged and said oh well. The food was not great. I get the sense this is more of a bar on the beach than a restaurant - the focus seems to be on drinks not food. As I don't drink, this was of no help to me. Coconuts has a fun funky beach vibe to it. They have a HUGE outdoor patio and a decently large indoor area for eating. We opted for indoor as the patio was crowded and the only seating left was in direct sunlight, which we had been out in all day. The drink menu was nice, and they even had options for souvenir cups that come with discounted refills. The menu itself was large and I almost felt like there was too much to choose from. I ended up trying their "award winning" corn and Crawfish Chowder and they let me order the kids grilled cheese alongside. The chowder was really good, however, no one ever mentioned that it was SPICY. Don't get me wrong, I both like and can handle spicy foods, it just wasn't what I was expecting. The kids grilled cheese was ok. There was definitely too much bread for the sparse amount of cheese used. Their fries are close to a steak cut, which I love, and well seasoned. All in all it was good, but I think there are other places in Cocoa Beach that are overall better. read more

Wonderful! I forgot to take photos of our food and drink but everything was great! We tried the Conch Fritters, Mahi Sandwich and my husband had the Mahi Reuben. Everything was great but I favored the Reuben, Mmmm SO GOOD!! Being from the Midwest, I also need to mention they have perfect ranch. Our server, Perry, was also very helpful and attentive. Piña coladas are nice and creamy, Kentucky Lemonde was refreshing and a good beer selection on tap. If you like Kona Big Wave, I'd recommend trying the Beach Bum! I'll admit, I was getting a bit discouraged by the food scene in Cocoa Beach. We had been there for a week, and while we had some decent meals, nothing stood out. It took until the end of our trip to find a real winner. You should know I'm not easy - with 5 star ratings that is. I don't hand them out often, but Coconuts checked all the boxes - great atmosphere, good service, excellent food across the board. We started with the poke appetizer. Beautifully presented, a generous portion and delicious on top of that. All of our entrees were great- the mahi mahi sandwich, shrimp tacos, shrimp and grits. Maybe the best was the fish and chips. The beer battered fish was moist and succulent on the inside, crispy crunchy on the outside. The portion size was very generous. The food is too expensive for the quality and portion sizes. A pasta dish costs $30, while the burgers are $16.90, and they don't even come with anything else. The steaks and fries are good, but the rice and beans are terrible; they taste like they came from a can and are served in a small dish. Considering the prices, I don't think the value is there. I visited Melbourne and came from Miami, and I found that it definitely doesn't match the quality or taste for the price. read more
