Our family of four opted to eat inside, as it was a little quieter than on the deck. But the deck also looked like a great choice. The music was just a little louder. The hostess was very supportive when we ask her for a low top table rather than a high top table. Our server was Ava. She did a fantastic job of taking care of us. We ordered two appetizers, the coconut shrimp, and the conch fritters. Both were delicious. You get six of each. However, if you only had space for one, I pick the coconut shrimp. I ordered the salad with salmon, and Ava very graciously said that they could substitute grilled shrimp for the salmon. It was delicious. Our daughters got the coconut shrimp, dinner, and the wonton tuna. It did have raw tuna, but our daughter loved it. I would highly recommend Coconuts on the beach. Coconuts is a staple in Cocoa Beach. It's one of the places you definitely have to go to just to say you went to at Cocoa. I would definitely recommend drinking here over eating. I have never eaten here but have been here many times to drink and it is always a good time. It is very family friendly and they always have a good band on stage to keep the time moving while enjoying drinks by the beach. Bartenders move their ass for sure. They look like midgets back there but they are in a lower space then the customers. They specialize in the frozen drinks so make sure that is what you get and the prices are great. Not crazy expensive but it is for sure the same prices you would get any frozen drinks at. Great location and great service with great drinks. We tried Coconuts On The Beach New Year's Day 2025. We had a decent experience but were not wowed at all. We were underwhelmed. It was mainly the staff as a whole. The food was delicious. We waited a while, which we knew. Got seated 45 minutes later but was not acknowledged for 15 minutes. I later went to a server and asked if we could get someone to take our order. He said he'd find someone. Well he came back a couple of minutes later and said he'd be taking care of us. I'm pretty sure he had over half the tables inside. Too many! He did a decent job but was a little overwhelmed with a party of 10 and all of the other tables he served. He forgot a lot of little things. He memorized our food order which is somewhat impressive. At this point we were very hungry and I forgot to snap pictures. I had the Mahi Reuben which was absolutely amazing! My son had a Jammin Bacon Burger, which he loved. My wife had the French Onion Soup...loved it. My granddaughter had the BBQ Chicken Wings. They were so meaty and juicy. There were kids shrimp plate and chicken tenders ordered. While visiting my aunt, we went back to Coconuts on the Beach. I like this restaurant as it is right along Cocoa Beach and as you wait for a table, you can enjoy the ocean. You can continue to enjoy it if you are seated outside. Upon arrival, it was busy with nowhere to park in their small lot. But fortunately, I was able to find street parking. When we reached the hostess stand, a table wasn't available so they input my phone number into their system to add me to the waitlist. The wait was just enough for us to walk down to the ocean and walk back. Once seated, our waiter Jason took good care of us. We had delicious food and Jason even recommended to me a different dip (honey) for my sweet potato fries and he was wrong. Delicious! Plus, there was live entertainment. In cocoa beach to board a cruise and I wanted to eat at a local spot. I googled best places and Coconuts popped up first. It lived up to the hype for me. I got the mahi jerk Reuben sandwich and it was absolutely delish! Never thought that combo would be good but it was was. And for dessert the pineapple creme brûlée is a must try. They have live music often out on the patio and if you're lucky enough you can catch a space launch from the patio as well. It's only about 15 minutes from the port and right in the heart of cocoa beach. We got a table outside and were seated right away with no reservation. The service was great! I had their beachcomber frozen drink to start. This was just ok. The menu described it as a frozen spicy margarita, but there was zero spice. It was a good frozen margarita, but not as described. Now, on the other hand the food was delicious! We shared the conch fritters and tuna poke nachos. They were both SO delicious! There is truly nothing like fresh seafood in a beach town. The music they have is fun soft rock tunes that reminded me of my childhood. My server was Chaisson and what a breath of fresh air! When searching "things to do in Cocoa Beach", Coconuts On The Beach was recommended by several sites as a top spot to eat. We arrived at a weird time between lunch and dinner so it was a ghost town inside. The weird part was that upon arrival the hostess said the wait time was 15 for both inside and out - so we gave her our number and strolled around for 15 min until they texted us that our table was ready. When we entered and saw that no one was inside, we were so confused why they had us wait 15 min for a table. Still a mystery. The patio was more packed. It's right on the beach, and while I first felt sad that I didn't choose outside seating because the inside was kind of lackluster, I was glad in the end that we opted for inside since there was a lot of cigarette smoke on the patio. Our server was nice but it took a long time for her to take our order and get water for the table. While waiting on the food, a random guy approached us asking if we wanted our photo taken. We found this to be odd. He didn't have a Coconuts on the Beach staff shirt or anything so we weren't sure who he worked for. He did this for every table, and he wouldn't tell anyone why. Then he would come back and show them the prints so they could buy them. Most families inside said yes to this but we found it to be distracting and odd. Now to the food... Mango Mahi Mahi: This was ok. I got it blackened and the flavor of the fish was good and it was a generous portion. The beans were beans, and the rice was a very sweet coconut rice which when combined with the mango "salsa" (salsa in quotes because it was mostly just mango) the dish almost tasted like dessert. My friends got the fish and chips and the mahi sandwich. They said the sandwich was good but the fish and chips were lackluster, and just one big piece of fish that left you wanting more. Prices were high but not as high as other tourist spots we've visited on our trip. It was about $80 for a group of 4 (with just water for drinks). I would hope Coconuts on the Beach is better at more peak hours because when we visited it was an odd vibe. I don't really regret trying it but I wouldn't go back. read more

My last trip here was for a friend's going away party before he headed back to England and we all had a great time and my friend got to say goodbye to a favorite place and we got to say "see you later" to him. Coconuts on the Beach is a great spot to spend a bit of time if you are in the area and as I said, Coconuts on the Beach is a place you must stop at if you are in the area. I read the reviews prior to us stopping in. We used to live in the area almost 40 years ago and had fond memories of this establishment; although even back then we only visited a handful of times. We decided to just share an alcoholic beverage and a snack. We went with a frozen Rum Runner, it was pretty good (small size for price) although I did not taste much liquor in it. We also ordered the fish dip. We live on the west coast now so we have fish dip occasionally and it usually is pretty tasty. This fish dip was very bland...it needed something to give it some taste or pep. We satisfied our nostalgia visit and do not have any plans to return. Very touristy and as others have said pricey for the quality of food but that goes for most touristy places, unfortunately. Also ambiance is terrible right now because they are pumping sand onto the beach in front of it. Definitely took away any charm for its location. read more

The really terrific thing about the Airbnb in which we stayed during our Cocoa Beach trip is that it was within eyesight of Coconuts on the Beach. We were really excited to check it out, because it was mere feet away and also because it just looked like a fun time. We actually wound up stopping by twice over the course of a week, and it was a terrific experience both times. On both occasions, we were lucky enough to score a table right by the water, where we were also able to catch a glimpse of the local cats who frequent the establishment. I tried a few different things: Bangin' Shrimp ("lightly fried shrimp tossed in our bangin' sauce dressed with scallions"), which was a huge portion and very tasty, Corn & Crawfish Chowder, which was zesty and flavorful, and the Costa Rican Wrap ("spring mix, cheddar-jack cheese, house-made corn salsa & Costa Rican sauce in a jalapeño cheddar wrap"), which I got with jerk chicken and which was decent but probably my least favorite of the menu items I tried (i.e. it was ultimately just a little too salty for me, which could likely be solved by not going with the "jerked" option). But really, the big attraction at Coconuts on the Beach is the laid-back vibe and for that it absolutely can't be beat. If I lived nearby, I'd be there at least once a week.
