The standout dish for me was the shrimp fried rice--each shrimp was cooked to perfection, plump and flavorful, complementing the well-seasoned rice beautifully. My second favorite was the spicy tuna crispy rice, which was so good I'll be ordering multiple plates next time. Beyond the food, the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between modern and inviting--elevated without feeling stuffy. It's that rare sweet spot between upscale and casual, making it ideal for a variety of occasions, whether a date night, dinner with friends, or even a celebratory meal. I hesitate to mention this because I don't want it to be an expectation but feel it needs mentioned just to show how fantastic our service was. Our waitress (who I think may have been the owner) asked if we were celebrating anything special. We mentioned it was our anniversary dinner. She struck up good conversation with us immediately and then surprised us with two complimentary glasses of champagne. What a nice classy unexpected touch that made our evening so memorable!

We have not been here since before Covid although we ordered delivery from there. The staff is super friendly ambience is decent. However, the quality of the food was not what we expected. The octopus was foul. We sent it back and the sashimi wasn't a melt in your mouth experience less than average at best.

I celebrated my birthday here and it was so good and it was amazing and it made my day! Crushed lobster rolls, black ink squid pasta, Sushi, walnut shrimp, and green beans here. This is hands down the best seafood spot in this area and possibly all of LA. Only The Blue Oeyster cafe in Malibu has a lobstah roll that can hang with this. Thanks COD!

Penny! Can I say any more words than that? If you come here ask for her. She gives the best service I've ever received and this restaurant gives you the best food for the best price point and it's vast. I love c.o.d and it's the best seafood restaurant in Beverly Hills. And that's coming from a person that worked at multiple seafood restaurants. The flavors and the seafood is fresh af and the ambiance is popping. They stay open late and the kitchen doesn't close early.

I am so happy that COD made it through the pandemic, and it was so nice to have another DineLA visit here. The quality has not slipped, portions are good, pricing is reasonable, and the ambiance is casual and quiet. I feel like the interior area was redesigned to be less... cluttered? Or perhaps it just seems like a different place because I haven't seen a crowd during dinner time as of late? Make a reservation to be safe, but you can also get away with a walk-in. There's inside and outside seating, plus upstairs for special parties. I've noticed that they've been pretty understaffed when I've been here. One time, there was one server for the upstairs and downstairs! Will be back for more - especially that uni pasta.

Wow I usually come here for Halloween party and since I had a group coming we decided to try out the restaurant and we were surprised. Entrance is a nice quaint glass entrance door and parking we got lucky with street parking a couple blocks away by the liquor store. So not that hard to find. The food choices we had were the uni pasta, XLB dumplings, sausage fried rice, and sea bass. I was a little disappointed that the xlb were dried out when all the skin were punctured. Still taste good but dried. The host did offer to replace but we didn't want to waste time and appreciate the consideration. Sea bass was done perfectly and delicious as was the fried rice. Uni pasta was decent but I think it needs more of the uni flavor than the creamy flavor. Overall delicious meal. Afterwards went upstairs to do the Halloween celebration and it was a blast ! Great venue and happy to spend time with friends there

We went to the COD the other day and had a great experience. The restaurant is cute and the service was wonderful. We went for DineLA and sat at the bar, we also looked at the menu to order and extra snack bc we are foodies and wanted to try everything lol. We sat at the bar and Katyrina took care of us, and she was super nice, friendly and attentive, and had great recommendations . My friend had the smoking gun, to drink, which she really liked. For appetizers we had the xiao long bao which were pretty good (wish they were just a touch soupier but that's just me) and a salmon roll and split a clam chowder, which was delicious. As part of the Dine LA we had the oysters. We also had the grilled octopus which was tasty except idk if it needed the kidney beans, maybe on a mix of spring greens would've been better but idk. We also ordered the pan fried shrimp and veggie dumplings which were really tasty. For the entrees on dine la we had the Lamb chops and the uni pasta and which were both soooo delicious! I would definitely order them again. As for dessert for the dinela we had the yuzu cheesecake which was a lil small but super good. I'm assuming for the regular menu it's probably a little bigger but not sure. All in all I would definitely eat here again and I strongly recommend it!

Delicious oysters! Soooo fresh and clean shucks. No shell in the slurp

They have a great variety of food options. Dim sum and Chinese food as well as a large raw bar. Service was great and fast! Beautiful open kitchen too. Family vibes. Only thing is they should add food to the happy hour menu!

The Salmon with Yuzu Soy carpaccio was so good... it was gone before I could take a picture

Finally got to try out C.O.D.! I would always pass by it on my way to Bacari, but since I had foodie family members visiting town, I figured it would be a good time to try out a new spot. Boy was I right. We hit the jackpot going on the right night. We received amazing service by Dillian, especially since he was the ONLY server taking care of 9 tables and a party upstairs! I don't know how he did it but he made sure our experience was not impacted! He hooked us up and made sure we stayed happy! Our orders were put right in and each of the dishes came out at a good speed! We enjoyed the Crispy orange shrimp the most, but everything we had was yummy. There wasn't one dish we didn't like. We also ordered the Brussels, garlic noodles with chicken, shrimp fried dumplings, and the salmon carpaccio. We also ordered the lychee martinis and a mezcal margarita. Drinks were delicious as well. I would certainly come back to try other dishes and hopefully I will get Dillian again.

Excellent service and food in a trendy, late-night atmosphere. Came here late night after a concert with a seafood craving, and left immensely satisfied by the truffle uni pasta, among other things. Hokkaido scallop carpaccio (3/5): Good yuzu kosho and sauce, but the scallop itself was a little chewy. Bluefin toro handroll (4/5): Great quality fish, but the rice was freezing. I had this issue with a few of the assorted nigiri I ordered too. Truffle uni pasta (5/5): THIS was glorious. Creamy, decadent, and super filling. I loved it, and there was a fair amount of fragrant, fresh truffle on my pasta. The best thing about this spot is the unique menu, late night environment, and rockin' service. Hope to come try some of the more Asian-fusion dishes next.

Very disappointed in my dining experience. We were very disappointed with the quality of the food we received. We ordered from the DineLA menu. Service was on the slow side. It was our first time dining at C.O.D and unfortunately we will not be returning. $200 (including tip) was wasted. Ambiance was ok. We were seated inside. There is apparently an upstairs dining area that we were not able to check out. Food: Beyond mediocre. Perhaps because we ordered from the DineLA menu. I feel like our food was not treated the same way as the regular menu. Such a shame. Reviews about the ling wait during service is accurate. We will definitely not be going back. I had high hopes for this restaurant. Good luck!

    Oysters!

My husband and I had a great date night at COD! I'm a gluten free vegetarian who sometimes eats oysters (cue the LA eye roll) and this place is perfect! For regular pescatarians, there are so many options. We got half a dozen oysters and they were fresh and delicious! Could have eaten 50. All their veggie dishes are cooked in tamari not soy sauce so that made the gf issue a breeze. Our server was so friendly and nice and made the whole thing a wonderful night. Will definitely be back!

    Our rude server, Melanie.

Do they still offer happy hour?

What items can be made gluten free?

What's the parking situation? If there is valet, how much is valet?

There is street parking available depending on the day and time. There is also a parking garage nearby.

Is the menu the same for breakfast lunch and dinner?

Do they still doing Happy Hour?

Nope. We just asked. No. Bummer

Did they reopen with outdoor dining?

Yes! You can make reservations on our website http://www.codrestaurant.com/reservations which is recommended but walk-ins are also accepted as well.

Do we need to be seated at the bar to take advantage of happy hour?

No you can sit anywhere in the restaurant to take advantage of Happy Hour !!!

    Are there any Vegetarian options?

I'm sorry I don't know-not being a vegetarian!! but I would look at their menu on their website. Garlic noodles did not have any meat or fish in it. Uni truffle pasta could probably be made without the uni.

He was informative about our selections giving honest feedback and attentive to the needs of our group. I will say the food not inexpensive but what food really is these days. We ordered a plethora of dishes. Starting with the tuna neck tin. While I'm new to the tin game, I couldn't imagine what a $90 tin tasted like, now I know and I'm not sure I can eat anything less. Appetizers we started with the baked scallop special with chorizo, the caviar fries and the caviar dip. The baked scallop was delicious and the cause dip with the salt vinegar chips was fantastic. I could still dip more chips in that dish. I chose between the mussels and the fried fish sandwich. Alex recommended the fish not because it was better than the mussels. But because you just can't get a fried fish sandwich like theirs. I agree. The fry breading they have is top notch and the size of the sandwich literally has me full still 7 hours later. I substituted the fries for a lightly dressed side salad and loved it all. Besides, other folks had chips and fries to share. Other dishes were the fried and cold lobster rolls. The bagel breakfast plate and fish and chips. We even got dessert which was the pistachios tiramisu and the strawberry cake. Both good but the tiramisu was next level. All washed down with a winter sangria Maybe that's why I am still full. See you again, saltie girl.

This was actually my second visit. The first time, my husband and I stopped in for lunch and had a couple of items that were good, but I left feeling like maybe we just didn't order the right things. Since so many people seem to love this place, we decided to give it another shot. This time we came with a group of four and ordered a variety of dishes. We started with the octopus, tartare, and burrata appetizers. For pizzas, we had the Mortadella Pista and the Prosciutto with Truffle Oil Pista. We also ordered the Cacio e Pepe, mushroom risotto, and the Nutella dessert. The appetizers were okay, but the burrata was definitely the highlight. The pizzas were good and enjoyable, but nothing particularly memorable that would have me planning a return visit just for them. The Cacio e Pepe was decent, but the mushroom risotto was honestly the worst mushroom risotto I've ever had. It tasted like Campbell's cream of mushroom soup had been used as the base. The ambiance was nice, the service was good, and the drinks were enjoyable, but again, nothing felt especially memorable or exceptional. On a positive note, the prices were fair for what you get. Overall, I personally don't feel the need to come back. It's a perfectly fine meal, but with so many great dining options around, this just didn't stand out to me.

FOOD: Chef's Dozen Oysters - 9.8 / 10 You know that you are at a legitimate seafood restaurant when they disclose the source of their seafood. In this case, 2 each of: Laguna, Baja; Phantom Creek, BC; Shigoku, WA, Schoodic, ME; East Cape, PEI; Olde Salt, VA. An an oyster-lover, this IS the dish. Each varying in size, with their own various & subtle degrees of brininess. The accompanying mignonette sauce, horse radish, lemon, & tabasco make this the quintessential oyster platter, if you were ever going to have one going to have just 1 in your life. Santa Barbara Live Sea Urchin - 9.7 / 10 As my first outing with sea urchin, I don't think that it could have gone any better. If you've never had it, this is the place to try it. Simply put: butter that tastes like the ocean. Spread it on the buttered crostini & you're as close to sea godliness as one could possibly be. Jonah Crab Cake - 8.0 / 10 It's a decent crab cake. You can tell that they use real, quality crab. I wouldn't necessarily get it again just because there are so many other options. But delicious nonetheless. The cole slaw was cool, not-too-creamy, crisp, refreshing, crunchy, & just the right balance of sweet & sour. Hot Lobster Roll (served warm with butter) - 9.4 / 10 Quite possibly the best lobster that I've ever had. They really don't skimp out on the lobster. Just to give you an idea, I split this with someone else & I still felt like I had a lot of lobster. Like big, real, identifiable pieces of tail & claw. The warm, brioche-like long-style bun was perfectly toasted & held-up well. The accompanying side of french fries was very generous. We split it between 2 people & a half portion felt like more than what I get as 1 single order at other places. They were piping hot, fresh, crispy & not oily at all. They were pretty impressive for an order of french fries. DESSERT Peach Sorbet - 9.0 / 10 As a peach dessert lover, this hit the spot. Talk about a perfect palette-cleanser. Not-too peachy. The consistency was just right - hard enough, but not-too cold to give you a brain freeze. The portion is very generous. A little goes a long way, so this is perfect for sharing. Sour Cherry Sorbet - 9.5 / 10 I absolutely love when places serve flavors that are not as common. Sour is such an underrated flavor for desserts. This gives you so many flavor profiles at once. The sour works very well with the sweet. This easily edges out the peach sorbet. I'd definitely get this again. Whoopie Pie - 8.6 / 10 I took this for to-go & chilled it in the fridge for the next day's dessert. Easily sharable. The chocolate cake exterior were moist, thick, & chocolatey. The crème was quite solid + thick, which I believe is due to the classic marshmallow fluff component. Huge, huge, huge, shoutout to our server, Lawrence. You can tell that he is beyond proud to be part of the family here. Personally, I really feel that I lucked-out with him. If "hospitality" was a person, it would be him. He didn't hesitate at meeting any accommodation, answering any question, checking-in more than what anyone would consider "adequate". As we had a later reservation (closer to closing time), he never once made us feel rushed, which I very much appreciated. Also, shoutout to Randi on the phone for being so flexible in accommodating my party with a last-minute adjustment. I'm going to miss this place once it's gone.
