A little late review from our December visit on a Sunday around 1:40 PM. We came here after our visit to the La Brea Tar Pits and walk around the park. We were hungry and wanting some seafood and settle for sushi! We ordered a variety of rolls to try. It was 3 of us and we devoured it all. It's a very small space but it gives that intimate feeling. We sat at their bar section. Clean and very kind service. All the food was delicious. I'm still thinking of when I can go back to have more. We found parking on the street. I would advise that parking will vary by the day you go. It's a pretty busy area during business week hours. Overall we enjoyed our experience and can't wait to return.

We decided to give this place a try because we were craving sushi while visiting the area. Finding parking was challenging, so we ended up paying 12 dollars to park in the lot behind the restaurant. The interior of this restaurant is small without much seating. It wasn't too busy so we were seated immediately. We always start with some cold filtered sake and nigiri. It was good. Then it was time for the rolls. What the Hell, Yellow Dragon, Tornado, Titan and 2 others which I can't remember the names of. The Titan was my favorite, but they were all solid rolls. Very pretty presentation. The service was great even though there was a slight language barrier between us and our server. I would recommend this restaurant.

This place is super good and really good happy hour specials (weekday 5-7, weekend 4:30-9:30). Also it has an A health rating.

One of my office team's favorite lunch spot! They have great lunch deals and the combos are always great. For the lunch combos you need to call in as they're not on the website. I've had their chirashi bowl and their 3 handroll combos for lunch. It will come with a side salad and side miso soup. I think the best deals are their handroll/cut rolls! The fish tastes really fresh and super filling for lunch. The place is super small but they do have a sushi counter if you want to sit and see the chef make the sushi. We prefer to order takeout and walk back to our office to eat. Great spot and always satisfy my sushi cravings!

I went on a Saturday night and it was completely empty. They have amazing deals during happy hour and they have happy hour on the weekends. Everything was cheap and delicious. I would skip out on the spicy tuna roll, but the chutoro, salmon, crispy bite, Jumbo scallop, amberjack, were all amazing. Small but cute space

Lovely service, chef prepares fresh sushi in front of you (sitting at the bar), quality sushi. Had the tempura udon: broth was good, tempura was nicely crisp and fresh, only suggestion, noodles must be super fresh or fragile because it kept falling apart (not sure if that's its intention). Came for happy hour: had salmon and spicy tuna sushi (decent). Came with little side of fresh seaweed. Really enjoyed the spicy tuna crispy rice. The agedashi tofu was also tasty. Parking available to the side. Nice, chill indoor seating. Ambiance was nice. Competitive prices compared to other Japanese spots in LA area, definitely will be coming back!

If we were paying non-happy hour prices, this would be a three-star review. The restaurant is small, but cozy. The staff tries hard but they seem to be a bit overwhelmed. I think the way too extensive menu might be to blame. Frankly, the owners should cut the menu in half and focus on quality. There was only one server. The happy hour menu is decent, with great prices. The green tea was good. The items we ordered that were supposed to be warm, or a bit too undercooked for our taste. Definitely didn't come out hot as we expected. The flavors on the rolls were good, but they were a bit stingy on the avocado.

If you're looking for a casual sushi spot with delicious rolls and good service, this is the spot. I recommend the Snow White Roll, the Lemon Spring Roll, and the Shishito Peppers.

Taste good very cheap and also really helpful and the seating is nice, it's not tool full and the vibe is good.

    Pure happiness

Outstanding. The food was phenomenal, really fresh and delicious. We loved the yellowtail collar, the yellowtail sashimi prepared with serrano, salmon belly with truffle slices was amazing! So good that we had to get a second dish of each one. Really liked the What the Hell roll, Holly Shock roll, salmon roe was lovely, enjoyed the Japanese mackerel, and the green tea ice cream was ridiculous! This was as good a sushi meal as we have ever had. Can't wait to come back. Paul and the team were very gracious and welcoming, really friendly, which added to the experience.

Okay. This place is a game changer. We have been in search of a new sushi spot, and this place IS IT. Quality is great! Price is so reasonable!!! Nice staff, and private restroom. MUSTS: - Shishitos (they're tasty, and have a lovely char) - Salmon belly sushi - Baked crab hand roll (such a great portion! VERY rich and tasty) - Black Snapper sushi - Firecracker!!! (So much fish with this dish! Tastyyyy) **the rolls were both delicious and the pieces were sliced perfectly bite sized, which I appreciate! We will be working our way through all of them Only criticism is they brought the courses out backwards...with rolls first and apps last, but not worth docking a star. This place is our new hangout!

Chicken Teriyaki Plate This is a modified version of the chicken teriyaki plate. I order with less rice but more chicken and add veggies.

At 6pm, we were only 1 of 2 parties; by 7:30pm, all the inside & outdoor patio tables were filled except for a couple. A large party made the indoor atmosphere pretty loud, but after they left it was easy to have audible conversation. Several people came in to pick up to go orders while we were there. Service was really warm, food came out so fast & everything was DELISH: Beef bowl - marbled beef cooked w/onions on rice. So tender & flavorful! Spicy tuna bowl - spicy tuna over rice, with a wasabi ponzu sauce. Yum! Albacore hand roll - fresh & buttery Eel hand roll - melt in your mouth delicious We were there early so it was easy to find parking at a meter. Instead of the traditional nori typically used for handrolls, they served a salted, crispy version. While some diners may enjoy the added texture, it wasn't quite for me. It reminded me of the seasoned seaweed used in Korean kimbap--similar to what I buy at Costco and use at home--which took away from the experience I expect from a classic handroll. The fish itself was fresh and above average, especially considering the lunch special pricing. Overall, it was a solid meal, but if I order this again, I would definitely request traditional nori to better complement the quality of the fish.

Definitely a good spot for a date night. I was craving some yakitori, so we ordered a bunch of different ones including Negima, Gizzard, Tsukune, Wings, Chicken Thigh, Liver, Hearts, and Cartilage. All the yakitori was cooked to order and everything came out really good. We also had the Hokkaido Scallops & Sweet Shrimp Crudo, which was delicious. For sushi, I ordered some nigiri including Scallop, Salmon Belly, Bluefin Toro, and Kanpachi, plus the King Tuna Roll. I have to say everything tasted pretty good. The first round of The Chicken Oyster skewers: smokey but a bit pale, while the second round had the beautiful char we expected. Same goes for the shrimp toast - it felt there was a shift change. Other items we tried: Unagi (nice beautiful piece and great for the price), tuna with crispy rice (fine), yellowtail handroll (on the bland side), tempura brussels w/truffle salt (tasty, not at all greasy). The Lychee martini I had heard rave reviews about tasted off. I feel we caught them during an off moment, so we will definitely try it another time. The Happy Hour for 2-6pm really can't be beat.
