Struggling to write a review for Cody pools. Sales team did their job and sold us the pool idea but then it all went downhill..... *Build was delayed by 3 months * Slow construction then when pool was near completion we had a nother few weeks to actually get the job finished ! *Pool light (which we were told lasted 10 years) blew within 3. Was replaced and blew again. The 2nd pool light blew 1 month ago and the final pool light blew this week. We have no working pool lights and the pool is not even 5 years old. *Waterfall feature tiles keep falling off! *Pool equipment pad was inadequate so the pool equipment fell onto our house wall. *Inferior stone work and cement work around pool. Just seems to be poor quality workmanship from USA No1 pool company - not sure how Cody pool can claim that from our experience read more

Began a $200k+ pool project 2 years ago. They added water and turned the pool on in July of 2022. Ever since we've experienced never ending leaks. Horrible. Stay away. Terrible communication. The only time we saw the foreman was when he came over to collect a check. Communication only existed if we initiated it. There were times during the build where a couple of months would go by and no communication from our Foreman (Miguel). We are on the 4th leak. Still not corrected. The pool has never stopped leaking since Cody Pools filled it with water and activated the system. They drag out fixing the leaks by performing bucket tests and then make excuses for delaying fixing the leaks by saying the company they outsource for the leak detections are too busy to come out. So, they schedule time for them to come out beyond a 2 week time frame. Meanwhile, my water bill is escalating as we monitor and fill the pool daily to sufficiently keep the pool circulation pump from burning out for lack of water. As a customer, I don't care that Cody Pools outsource the leak detection service. It's transparent to me. I didn't buy a pool from the leak detection service. What is most important to me is a new pool that doesn't leak water. Their payment structure is such that you are required to make your last payment before they fill the pool and activate the circulation system. Now they have all your money and have ZERO incentive to fix any problems. They do it this way because if they don't they won't receive final payment until they resolve all outstanding problems/issues which can drag on longer than they would like before receiving payment in full. Instead Cody Pools puts themselves first over their customers. They want their money before the job is done. There are mornings when I would wake up, look out at the pool and the sauna was empty. The last time the leak detection service came out, they uninstalled the sauna jets and left them on the side of the pool. The outer bezel that secures the jets to the wall of the sauna were all chewed up and destroyed. Cody Pools knew nothing about this yet called me at work to state that the leak detection service fixed the problem. I had to call Cody pools to tell them to fix the jets. There were many more issues along the way including broken/cracked tiles, installation of the wrong tiles, mortar/grout where it should have been but was never used, cut the opening too large to fit the fridge in the outdoor kitchen, failed to install the sink and faucet, and much more. Meanwhile they boast about their years of quality work on the recording that's played while you are on hold. Miguel, our project foremen tried to get away without installing the sink because he said they couldn't cut the opening for it after the the marble counter top was installed. They treat you like you are ignorant. I think I've detailed enough to make my point. I asked to speak with the owner on several occasions because the warranty service continues to fail in their effort to fix the leaks. I was given his number. He's NEVER returned my call. He'd rather hide behind his desk while enjoying the money you paid him upfront versus getting involved to overcome ongoing problems with your pool project. Whenever I've asked to speak with him in the past I'm told, "he is out of the country." Shop around and stay far away from Cody Pools. They do not practice customer service. They do not know what customer service is and do not care about producing quality work. Each phase of the project is outsourced to the lowest bidder. Cody Pools doesn't quality assure anything. You are responsible for this and you better pay attention. In the meantime, take a look at all of the reviews below. Most are 1 star. Take note of the canned response from "Cody P". He is the Cody Pools representative to all of the 1 and 2 star reviews. Try calling the number. It simply gets you to a sales rep or a choice to speak to the warranty department. In other words, Cody P is simply telling you to do what you've been doing all along - call the local office to resolve your problem. Cody pools responses to the 1 & 2 star reviews tells you everything you need to know about how they treat their customers: Cody P (who is this really?), doesn't understand nor care that everyone who has taken the time to share their unacceptable experience on this site (to prevent others from encountering the same abysmal experience) have already exhausted this route.is route. If the folks at (512) 835-4966 fixed the problems, we wouldn't be posting on this site to make the uninformed aware because our issues would be resolved. Why not offer help versus patronizing your customers by telling them all to call customer service? Why not offer a contact number for the CEO? Cracked , chipped tiles all throughout the pool, Sharp ends , Sharp holes , crooked / bubbled cement , went out to look at our incomplete pool and my child fell off our swim up bar because the builders didn't set it down evenly and it wasn't set securely (came defective and had a huge stain running down the center ) . . Not to mention the workers hardly come out and when they do I have to clean the trash behind them . . We were also skipped buy another one of their contractors & "they don't know how that happened" .. HIGHLY REGRET CHOOSING CODY POOLS & I cannot believe we're going to have to fork out 105+k when this is through!! read more

Customer service up through signing contract was 5* for sure. After that it slipped to less than 1*. Weeks / months pass with little or no work done. Lies and excuses for why no one would show up. Leaving their trash behind in our backyard and unfinished pool. Complete disrespect for our property. Didn't do work as per the drawings their salesman drew up and that were included in the contract. Finally our pool is finished but we can't get anyone to come back and finish the clean up / completion. And when they do come to do something they mess it up or do it so badly that it has to be undone / redone / fixed / finished by my husband. If I had to do it all again I would never ever choose Cody Pools, even if other places charged more (which I doubt). I wish I had read these reviews and the ones on the Better Business Bureau and FaceBook comments before signing our contract. read more

We hired Cody Pools to build a pool at our home in April and we are now entering our sixth month with no clear end in sight. Our project has been plagued by poor communication, unfilled promises, poor workmanship and almost nonexistent supervision. The gas line has failed inspection twice, there have been numerous construction flaws that have required alterations, and the company clearly suffers from a lack of accountability and customer focus. We have been forced to modify our landscaping plans, which has resulted in additional cost on our part and we are at the point where we wonder if this project is ever going to get completed. I created my backyard oasis and it's looks beautiful. The best thing of this experience was the contractors that came and went were fabulous to work with and did a great job. The downside was the connection with the superintendent overseeing the project. In consistency and lack of communication. At times I felt as if I was driving our conversation and asking questions. With that being said, I have placed work orders for work and repairs and have yet to be contacted or any follow through. You get the customer service only when they collect the checks. On January 18 2022 I visited with Jason at Cody pools. He came to my home a few days later, Jan 27, to measure my yard and work on a design. On March 11, 2022 he sent me an email asking to review the design in a date he selected. Unfortunately, I was traveling and offered an alternate date to meet. I haven't heard from Jason since. It is now April 3, 2022, and in three months I don't even have a pool design. I've now read several other reviews and see that my experience is the norm and not the exception. I'd give zero stars if I could. Horrible Cody Pools experience here. Superintendent makes tons of promises and never delivers. Been working on this pool for over 6 months and still don't have any equipment onsite, and just have a Gunite shell. We went with Cody because of a friend's good experience and because Cody was a large company. This has to be the most unprofessional dealing with a contractor I have ever experienced. I don't trust the superintendent at all. Workmanship is sloppy and I've had to highlight many problems since the superintendent never visits the worksite. I should've used Keith Zars. The extra 10% would have been worth it to have a professionally managed project that completed in a reasonable amount of time. read more

Building our pool was a large project. The finished product is as we desired, beautiful and inviting. Our designer (Jason)worked hard to build our vision, our foreman (Kevin) worked hard to keep us on schedule and the our pool school teacher/warranty (Jacob) was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. As with every large project, there have been bumps along the way, but we've had good experiences with fixing what's needed to be fixed. Great job guys! read more

George was extremely short with her to the point of being downright rude. She asked if we could get an estimate for a pool with a hot tub and without a hot tub. He told her he couldn't do two estimates because he didn't have the time. I just bought a three year old house with a Cody pool. The seller told me to call Cody Pools to get two new parts installed. I have never owned a pool before so I called Cody Pools hoping to get someone out to the house to explain the system, install the parts and make any repairs or updates that might be necessary. Sound reasonable? When I called, the first thing I was told (instead of "Hello" or "How can I help you" or something like that was since the house was sold, any further warranty is null and void. Fine. I get it though it was a bit rude in the delivery. However, when I explained my request, I was told that they only do warranty work and after it expires, they REFUSE TO COME BACK! I couldn't believe it. So people, if you are thinking about buying a Cody pool, know that once your warranty ends, they want to have nothing to do with you. We started the process looking for a pool company to build our pool I was very disappointed with the service of Cody pools. They returned my estimate request only to tell me "you know our pools start at $50,000 is this what you are looking for." So without even knowing my budget he assumed I was looking for a cheap pool. Four stars because our pool did turn out nice. The lines in the Sundek aren't symmetrical and it will bug me forever, (actual OCD sufferer) they used the wrong tile for the coping and then told us that if we wanted to change it to what I originally picked out we would have to pay for it out of pocket. So the colors aren't exactly what I wanted either. I had to completely re do my entire design I had going with furniture and placement to adjust to colors I didn't want. However, it did all pull together and doesn't look "bad". But when you spend 60 grand on a pool it should be what you wanted. They were excellent with communication and our pool was built in about one month. It's summer ready now and we started at the beginning of May. I will point out that we live on a corner lot where there was ease of access because of no neighbors and outside city limits as well. read more

I will give 2 stars because I love our pool. If I had it to do all over again, I would go with another builder. I think $55,000 could have been spent better elsewhere with a company that would appreciate the business. Everything was wonderful in the beginning when the pool is being designed and the contract is being signed. You reach everyone by phone if you need them. After that, it's like pulling teeth to get them. Then comes the constant excuses as to when each part of the pool would be completed and the sob story about they couldn't send the crew because equipment broke. When they finally show up and you're taking the crew water because it's hot out and you start to chit chat and tell them you're sorry they lost work because of the broken equipment. Unfortunately for Cody Pools, the guy was very honest and told me the equipment was never broken and that they were sent on a large job where the pool was probably 3 times the cost of mine, therefore letting me know the importance Cody Pool placed on our business. To add insult to injury, the supervisor came out a few days later to check the progress, started saying sorry for being behind and then slipped up that they had put someone ahead else ahead of us. He immediately froze, realizing that he was an idiot and couldn't keep his lies straight, but I just allowed the lie to linger as I'm much too polite to call him out on it and I really just wanted his moron a$$ out of my house. I literally could not stand this guy after 3 months. Since we have had the pool, we have had a few problems, most solved to our satisfaction, one not and never will be. I can say this because we have been blatantly ignored. Calls not returned, emails not answered or followed up on. If I bought another house and went to build another pool, Cody Pools could offer me the same pool for $10,000 and I would NOT hire them. Believe it or not. I would rather pay another company more than give Cody Pools another dollar of our hard earned money. read more

i will give one star because i bought a 90,000 dollar pool and first thing that went wrong was that is started in early january and didn't finish till late december they were just super slow and second they broke multiple pipes and third there was only one guy working on the pool the rest were on there phone the whole day and last my pool still has problem like ever other week now and fourth im having leaks after everting is covered up it is just a nightmare read more

Our overall experience with Cody pools was a very satisfying one. The sales representative listen to our ideas and provided some options for us. The project manager manaing the construction phase was very accomodating and patient. They did a beautiful pool for my neighbor, but that's where it went down hill. They screwed up my grass, crushed a tree, tore up a flower bed with 5 mature plants in it, and left trash, and material in my yard. Probably $300 or $400 dollars worth of damage, and the company rep never spoke to me once. Never tried to contact me once, about the stuff they tore up.The only thing that got fixed by them was the fence between the yard, that of course they tore down. I've never had a pool built, and I don't know how it works, but I'm an innocent neighbor, and they really made me feel violated. All I can say is if you like your neighbors, and you want the damage fixed that is done in the process of your pool being built. DON'T HIRE THESE GUYS. I would try to find someone that will make you, and your neighbors whole again. It seems like if you spend that much money on a pool, they could at least fix the damage done in the process of taking your money. read more

My family and I were extremely disappointed in the service we received from Cody pools. When we were designing our pool the design guy was very helpful with every detail. He was probably the only thing positive about our experience with them so he is the only reason they are receiving a star from us. When we signed the contract it stated that our pool would be done 45 days after they finished digging the hole. Well when digging the hole their equipment broke and took them over 2 weeks to get a new digger. So digging the pool took almost a month. Then after that they did not start any sort of work on the pool for another 2 weeks after the hole was dug. When we had questions about what was going on with the progress of our pool we would try and contact our pool contractor and he would either never answer our phone calls or answer them and say he was going to call us back with answers and then never call us back. He had quoted us an estimated finish date of August 20th which was the last day of their 45 day contract. That day had come and gone. Our pool was not completed till September 3rd which was almost 70 days past the day in which the hole was done being dug. We signed the contract for the pool at the end of April and our pool was not done and ready for us to use till the beginning of September. I would not suggest anyone use this place because the contractors were extremely rude and unprofessional. We came home one day to find the head contractor reclined back in one of our patio chairs. The final product of our pool is good although there are still some finishing touches that we have brought to their attention that they have still not attended to. They breached their contract with us and we would take them to court because of it but we are just so tired of them that we decided to give up on them and just move on. I will never suggest this place to anyone I know and hopefully this helps someone else avoid the headache we went through. read more
