Breakfast date with the hubby. Much needed fresh air with a beautiful view. My eggs were a little overcooked. But overall it was a good experience. Our server was very attentive. #DiningWithTheAndersons #SanDiegoLiving #Blessed

Parking always a challenge here but not impossible. Great food and service. The lobby area is nothing like the outside. Very nice with a beautiful view. I had the omelet with grits and potatoes and my friend loved her fish and chips. Drinks are pretty and strong too. Would go again! All men staff too-interesting ...

We came for a brunch on Thursday. I really enjoyed the outside sitting and the friendly server. Food was delicious and we did not wait long to get it, we took dozens of pictures while we were waiting for Food.

This place was super cute and had such great reviews, so we had to give it a try and it did not disappoint! Right by the beach with such a beautiful La Jolla vibe. The service was great and surprisingly quick, and the food was pretty good too! Definitely a cute spot to add to the brunch list.

YUM went here for brunch as a trio of girls enjoying the day in La Jolla and it was perfect - food was tasty and service was fast. we ate outside and had a beautiful view of the ocean! The restaurant is located on the second floor of a building and you need to go upstairs to get to it - we walked right by it at first and almost missed it

Cody's has a very beautiful view so you should try to get an outdoor seat. The food itself was okay! Nothing to write home about but definitely good. The food is not cheap either. If you are trying to come here for value this is definitely not it. I got the surf and turf Benedict for about 30 bucks and it was a very very small portion size. This place is definitely for the vibes not the food! The service was definitely great. People were super nice and tentative and made sure we were taken care off. I only recommend of you are looking for a nice view and a good chat.

Great location, great place. Stopped by for brunch, and they had a great food selection without being overwhelmed. Service was nice and the food came out super quickly. Our table was always being taken care of The food was delicious. We had omelets, which were delicious and their pricing is very reasonable. Their location is perfect for seeing the ocean from afar and we had a great time. If you are in the area, try them out and share your experiences. Happy brunch time! Check the pics!

Date of Visit: 12.27.2025 Cuisine Type: American/Seafood Vibe: Nautical themed with amazing view over La Jolla Cost: ~$20-$30 depending on what you get This was a nice little discovery recommended by my parents who sometimes walk around La Jolla (very unexpected surprise). This place was ultra busy but we were fortunate to come during an off peak time (wait was still 35 minutes) What We Ordered: Cappuccino - 4/5 - I prefer cold brew but this was as expected milk and chocolatey with the hint of coffee. Cody's Burgers -4/5 - All the elements of a good burger (i simply don't like most burgers since it's just too messy to manage), the fries are double fried so it remains the nice crispiness despite being round wet ingredients Lobster Roll - 5/5- Massive...you have the tail and claws and a 1/2 a loaf of toasted brioche bread...it is honestly worth the cost Steak and Frites -4/5- Cooked well! The green sauce is creamy but I guess if we are doing sauce I prefer chimichurri French Toast -3/5- Everything is fresh on this plate. Not too sweet but I guess the french toast isn't that crispy but also I personally don't really like horchata egg toast Fish n Chips -5/5- The breading is done right...light enough so it creates crisp and not become its own entity when you take a bite. Also their cole slaw doesn't use typical ranch it feels like greek yogurt or something. I actually really appreciate the nod towards making things actually healthy Atmosphere: Clean, feels relatively private even though we were pretty much next to the main door, open bar concept in the center, and there is a deck further down the restaurant with more open air dining environment Service: Quick and friendly staff Ambiance: Fun, festive with sea decor, and great view of people and the coast Overall Thoughts: Best thing I ate: Lobster Roll Something to improve: Most things are pretty peak already. I think if anything make the french toast crispier and the burger easier to eat heh. See y'all again one day.

We've been here for a late brunch a couple times on the weekend and haven't had a wait for a table. Both times we were seated at the same booth. The frose is very good, especially on a warm day. My husband typically gets the lobster roll while I get a benedict. Both entrees are very good and filling. Service has been good as well. The servers are friendly, though there is sometimes a bit of a wait to get drinks and food when they are busy. Overall, a great spot for brunch. A little pricey, but that is expected with the area. Dog friendly as well.

Family suggested this restaurant while we were in town and it did not disappoint. Soon as I saw the blueberry pancakes, I knew that I had to have them. I also went with (crispy) bacon and a side of potatoes that were delicious! The staff were very friendly and attentive. And of course, the views of La Jolla Cove were stunning

It's on a waitlist, first come, first serve basis only.

How much is the lobster roll?

    It's around $35

    Do they take reservations?

    Yes, I recommend making one.

Does this restaurant have wheelchair accessibility for rooftop dining?

They have an elevator to get up to the second floor and should be wheelchair accessible.

    Do they take reservations?

I think so but we were a walk in

Can I study here? Do they have wifi?

What are suggested, healthy vegan options (ideally gluten free)?

    Double dipped onion rings

Does anyone one know if they are open now April 2019 ? And of so what the address is?

1025 Prospect St Unit 210 La Jolla, CA 92037…

    Did this place close?

They will be at 1025 Prospect St., Suite 210. I'm not sure when, though. Their Facebook site says "see you in the Spring" but no specific date. I walked by the new location today, and it's not ready yet.

After being sat on the patio and before ordering, we checked out all the merch inside, an explosion of color and sparkle. The indoor seating is a room of inviting, plush, forest green chairs and the walls dripping in white and blush pink flowers. The quote "Cooking is my soul's desire, eating is my heart's calling" catches your eye on the north wall. One of my friend's and I decided to order 2 entrees and split them - the Spicy Shakshuka Sunrise Skillet (2 eggs poached with fire-roasted tomatoes, onion, bell pepper, fresno pepper, cilantro, yellow onion, feta, harissa, cumin, chili flakes, and sourdough bread) and the Windansea Breakfast Bagel (with scrambled egg whites, Irish cheddar, sauteed garlic spinach, and avocado on a Big City everything bagel). That was a smart call because both were amazing and re-orderable. The shakshuka was flavorful but not intolerable spicy hot. The bagel made the sammich. All was washed down with a Cafe Viennese (coffee with honey, cinnamon, and vanilla, a great sub for my usual Cinnamon Dolce Latte from Starbies). The service was great and engaging and not a hustle for us to churn and burn our meal. Would love to return and indulge in some of the retail in addition to some pancake or waffles. First, while we were waiting for our table, we were told that the coffee near the check-in area was complimentary while we waited. When we were seated, we brought our coffee cups with us, only to find out later that we had been charged $5 each for our coffees. We didn't say anything, but it definitely didn't leave the best taste in our mouths. So double check your bill if you pick up a free coffee while waiting for your table. One of my favorite meals here is the risotto Benedict. It was still good, but unfortunately, it didn't taste quite as good as it normally does. After we left, my stomach was very upset, and I ended up having to make an emergency stop at the La Jolla Shores bathrooms before heading home. Our waiter was also a little slow. It took quite a while for our water to give us water after a long walk on the beach and then our bill took forever as well. On top of that, the waiter commented "Impressive" because I had finished my entire plate. I had been fasting for 24 hours, but regardless, I don't think commenting on how much a customer eats is really appropriate. It was just a little strange. Anyway, just a heads-up. I'm sure I'll come back, and hopefully everything will be back to normal and great as usual!

But, I decided on a 5 because, in the more than 30 years that I have been dining at the Brockton Villa, I've never had a bad meal, nor a marginal one, they've all been spot on. It's easy to enjoy the perch on the side of the hill, with an immediate view of the Cove and the further views of the Shores, Glider Port and on a clear day, Torrey Pines. What comes with that view, is the smell of nature, and on Tuesday, it was stronger. It didn't interfere with our meal. The wait staff are all friendly, experienced, and approach the table appropriately. I can't relate to a setting where the server is there every couple of minutes. I tend to eat there more for breakfast and lunch, dinners less commonly. The menu is diverse enough for 2 picky eaters to always find something fantastic. On Tuesday, I had the clam and crab chowder and it was superb. I grew up in New England, the epicenter of chowders. I am known amongst friends, for the many chowders that I make at home. The salmon BLT is a recurrent favorite, as is the basic breakfast, tweaked to your preferences, with a wide array of protein options. The family was pretty excited to try this place out and by the end of the meal, every single member of my family (all 5 people) were angry. The service was horrific. We came during lunch, they were not particularly busy and we were seated within 5 minutes. Let's start with the food. I ordered a $25 Wagyu burger and it was unseasoned. Not under seasoned, UNSEASONED. The patty was overcooked. I asked for medium rare and it was well done to a point where it was not even remotely enjoyable. This $25 burger did not come with fries, it came with a very small bowl of salad that had no salad dressing. The wrap my wife ordered was mediocre and lacking any flavor. The shrimp inside was good but everything else was bland. The one thing that was good was the seafood chowder. It was excellent. Very flavorful and rich. The best tasting thing at our table were the children's tater tots and the clam chowder to be very honest. Now onto the service. The service is arguably worse than the food. The waiter looked annoyed to take our order but what is egregiously worse than that is that in our entire time sitting there eating our food for more than 45 minutes, our server (or any member of the wait staff) literally did NOT come back once to check on us or ask us if the dishes were good or to give anyone water refills (we ordered a coke and that was not refilled the entire meal). I want to reiterate, we literally did not get a refill of our waters or the coke we ordered 1 time the entire meal. Our waters were empty 10 minutes into the food arriving but because no member of the wait staff came by to check on us, we resorted to drinking out the water bottles we brought ourselves. We tried to flag down a member of the wait staff 3 times and after, my wife just said 'let's just try to get out of here as soon as possible. This is ridiculous'. I also want to be clear, we were not in a separate room or in the corner, the door of the restaurant was visible, the bar where they serve alcohol was visible from our table. The wait staff just chose not to check on us and ignore our hands in the air trying to flag them down. They came after more than an hour to drop off the check without saying anything to us or ask about how the food was. We were so angry by that point we did not even bother to ask for a refill of water or coke. We just wanted to leave as soon as possible.
