I gave this place a fair shot four times. The coffee is mediocre and three out of the four times I got the runs about two hours after finishing the coffee, I had nothing else to eat or drink so it was most definitely the coffee. I got a pastry one time and a breakfast burrito another time. Both were ok but nothing beyond standard fast food fare. The service is pleasant enough. The vibe is far more 1970's throw back than I like but it's not offensive. Overall save you money for a spot that has better coffee and less chance of giving you Montzuma's revenge. read more

I got a breakfast burrito with a London fog with oatmilk. The London fog was delicious and exceeded my expectations! I was very happy with it. The breakfast burrito needs some work to be priced at $10 but sufficed nonetheless for a quick breakfast, wouldn't order it again though. Two great coffees that were more than a fair price. Espresso was DELICIOUS. They had very wonderful staff that were seemingly providing great experiences to all the guests. We specifically interacted with the young red haired girl. I ordered a pour-over which is listed $3.50 . The barista charges me $6+Tax. When I asked, she plainly just ignore me. In addition, she clearly did not know how to make a pour-over. She essentially dump hot water from milk steaming cut directly on to the coffee bed.... as expected, coffee was over-extracted, taste burned and bitter for a light roast; specially comparing to same coffee as drip. I saw the owner yell and fire one of the workers there, and never have I felt so deeply shocked that this place would allow such behavior. I was coming here when they first opened and I can say that they do not create a safe space for working. It made the food today taste terribly awful. A couple weeks ago I had to stop at a store and I looked up and saw this place. I had never been here, but I wanted a coffee so I stopped by to try it out. I was expecting a so-so coffee but didn't really stress about it (even bad coffee is still coffee, right? ) I was absolutely blown away with how smooth and wonderful their coffee was. Many coffees taste good but then have that bitter taste after. Not this coffee! It was so smooth and so good. I have now been back almost every day for more. I usually am not a breakfast dude, but this morning, I decided to try a burrito-hell, the coffee is outstanding-maybe that is okay too. It was just as good as the coffee!! Normally, I leave my reviews to just the food etc. but there is something better here at Coffee & Cocoa...and that is the staff!! In just two weeks, I have learned most of their names and they all remember me. With hundreds of guests each day, I am amazed that they know me. The Riley's, Grace, Brynn, Morgan all actually love their job and it shows. I feel at home every time I stop here. I could not recommend a coffee shop more!!! read more

Stopped to get a coffee and breakfast before leaving town. There was really only a couple options in the area so I was already prepared to sacrifice a little for today's pick me up. Wasn't even planning on stopping here but after reading some reviews I was surprised how much people seemed to love the coffee...so we have it a try. Got my coffee and I wished I hadn't read the reviews because I think it skewed my anticipation. All I'm gonna say is that if I hadn't read the reviews I would have been pleasantly surprised by this but after reading them I was a bit let down. What concerned me the most is the $9 breakfast burrito that I got because again I read the reviews and people seemed to love it. And I'm just going to say I would never pay $9 for that burrito again. I've had better ones for just $6. Idk I think my biggest problem was the reviews made me anticipate something I knew deep down I wasn't going to obtain. My friend's bagel was the wrong kind and the other friend's bagel was inconsistently spread with cream cheese. This was a short walk from my hotel and I was craving a latte. It's a really large open space with cozy chairs and free WiFi. The coffee is really good. It's different in a good way :-) I ordered an oatmeal and it came packed with toppings. I definitely recommend if you're in the area to stop in here before or after a big ski day. read more

Stopped in here after a morning hike. We decided to stop in here vs the larger well known coffee shop near by. In my opinion It's always better to support local businesses, and my daughter highly recommended this one. Upon entering I noticed that the layout is very stark. Meaning, not a very warm vibe. There were only a couple of people sitting drinking coffee, so there was plenty of seating available for us to relax and enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee on a cold day. Never having been here before, I wanted to see what was on their menu before ordering. I could have stood there looking at the menu for a long time because we weren't acknowledged, or asked if they could help us. Finally, I said "Can you help us?" The young man said "Of course what would you like." I just ordered their house coffee, the others ordered speciality drinks. I wasn't a big fan of their coffee, but that's just my taste buds I guess. The speciality drinks weren't a big hit but just ok. I might stop in here again if I'm in the area, and get a house coffee, but because of the location, it's kinda out of the way to just make a quick in and out pit stop. read more

Nice place with plenty of options. Check my picture for the January Specials. The drip coffee is smooth and not acidic at all with a smoky flavor. Perfect for relaxing and reading a book next to the mountains. Another suggestion is to do exactly what we did ... Snowboard all day long and debrief the greatest wipeouts over a cup of joe.
